Lionel Richie is a great performer, very personable, entertaining, and of course, a wonderful artist. He engages the audience through most of his show. This is the second time I've seen him at Red Rocks, west of Denver, and each time it is over the top. I personally would have loved for him to sing songs without the audience singing parts of the songs.

Sorry but although he has a great stage presence, he can no longer sing. Felt like leaving after a few songs . Charging me 172 00 for 102.00 worth of actual lawn seats. It was my first time at Ravinia, a beautiful place. Really Do not understand how you can charge so much more.

It was a very good concert overall. I'd like to have been able to hear the singers voice a bit better. It was drowned out by increasing instrumental tones. Lionel Richie's voice still soothes the soul.

Next time attending any concert at this location, I'll be sure to be in the chairs in front of the stage rather than deal with drunken folks spilling wine on me twice while stumbling over the bleacher styled seating.

Lionel Richie is hitting the road with Earth, Wind & Fire again this spring on a run of U.S. tour dates. They’ll start in Knoxville, Tennessee, in late May, wrapping up a few weeks later in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. See all of the stops below.

After the tour wraps up, Richie returns to Las Vegas for a residency at the Wynn resort that extends through November 16. The singer-songwriter’s work co-writing the 1985 charity single “We Are the World” is spotlighted in a new documentary about the track, The Greatest Night in Pop , which hits Netflix on January 29.

Malcolm has been singing professionally since 1989 when he won ‘Sky Star Search’ for Sky TV’. From there he would enjoy a successful career both as a singer, and later as an actor alongside Robert Carlyle and Tom Wilkinson in the 1997 movie ‘The Full Monty’. In 2009, as a singer, he was invited by the BBC to appear with the great Lionel Richie himself on the ‘Graham Norton Show’ which would seal his place as the ‘Official World No.1’ Lionel Richie tribute artiste. Then in 2014 Malcolm appeared again with Lionel, this time sharing the Royal Box on ITV’s ‘Sunday Night at the Palladium’ which would ultimately bring him to the attention in 2018 of the production company ‘Talon Music Ltd’ who would cast him in the title role of their new theatre production ‘ LIONEL – The Music of Lionel Richie’.

With Malcolm as the voice of Lionel Richie and supported by a stellar line-up of world class musicians and technicians, the show would immediately receive rave reviews and recognition from the music industry by being voted ‘Best Newcomer’ at the ‘National Tribute Awards’. Now, as an integral part of the Talon Music family, ‘ LIONEL’ looks forward to an extensive and major UK theatre tour throughout 2023 and beyond…

From a very early age, it was clear that this classically trained concert pianist was a rare and very special talent. As a teenager he worked at the ‘Workshop Studios’ in Redditch honing his considerable skills as an all-round session musician and assistant engineer. One day in 1994 a sixteen year old Jonny would play piano on a session for a duo called ‘Lloyd & Anderson’. Who could have known then that their lives would be so intrinsically linked for so many wonderful years to come? In 1997 whilst ‘Lloyd & Anderson’ were forming the Eagles tribute band Talon, Jonny was appearing with his band ‘Fools Gold’ on ‘The Big Big Talent Show’ with Jonathan Ross. From there he would tour with Jason Donavon and later as musical director for Gordon Lightfoot. Then at the dawn of a new millennium he received the call to link up again with Chris and Peter, but this time as the new Talon bass player. For over two decades Jonny has been wowing audiences with his incredible talent and has been one of the main ingredients for the phenomenal Talon success.

From the moment that ‘Lloyd & Anderson’ first had the idea of producing ‘ LIONEL ‘ in 2017, Jonny Miller was always going to be the musical director.

Using his vast experience and amazing musical ability Jon has put together the musical arrangements and created… ‘The Jonny Miller Band’.

Charlie began his career at ‘Xenomania Records’ before moving into the theatre scene working with several productions including ‘Jackson’ (Live In Concert) and has never looked back. In May 2010 he walked into the audition rooms and, before the first song had even been completed, he had secured the job. Over the last decade touring theatre-land as the beloved Talon drummer, Charlie’s reputation has grown immeasurably and is now regarded by his peers as one of the leading exponents in the UK music industry. Charlie is also currently the in-house session drummer at Ten21 Studios in Maidstone and has played on countless major artistes recordings including Susan Boyle and jazz legend Gregory Porter.

When forming ‘The Jonny Miller Band’, he was to be Jon’s first recruit and as a bass & drums partnership they represent the solid foundation on which the band is built. As you will experience yourself when you come to see ‘ LIONEL ‘, the tightness and awesome power of Jonny and Charlie is unrivalled.

Freddie started playing piano at the tender age of five and was classically trained during which time he was awarded the ‘Trinity Jubilee Trophy’. On completing ‘Trinity College London’ graded music exams, he was awarded a certificate of special merit for his consistent excellence. He then went on to achieve an ‘ATCL Performance Diploma’. For further education, Freddie achieved a BA (HONS) degree in ‘Art & Design’ at ‘Birmingham City University’ and was the resident pianist for the ‘Bel Canto Singers’ in Redditch for several years. In 2013, the choir nominated him in the category of ‘Community Unsung Hero’ award for the ‘Inspire Awards’.

He joined Talon in April 2014 with one of his career highlights being nominated and ultimately winning ‘Best Band’ at the ‘National Tribute Awards’. So it would come as no surprise when in 2018 he secured the position of keyboards and vocals with ‘ LIONEL ‘.

Jack is a highly accomplished player and an extremely charismatic performer who spent a decade touring with several large theatre productions before taking up residence on guitar and vocals with ‘ LIONEL ‘ in early 2019. There is no doubt that audiences clearly love the high-energy performances that Jack brings to the stage, along with his immense dedication to recreate the intricacies and subtleties of the Lionel Richie songbook.

Jack can also be seen as the face of ‘Peach Guitars’, (the largest and most exciting UK guitar store), and regularly hosts videos on their YouTube channel. He also contributes content to his own YouTube channel, sharing his experiences and knowledge of the music world and how it relates to his day to day life as a professional musician. Jack has also contributed to many artistes recording efforts as a sought-after session musician and is very proud to be associated and work with notable musical equipment companies such as ‘Suhr Guitars’ & ‘Line 6’.

After honing his horn blowing skills on the trumpet at the ‘Euphonius School of Music’ (ESM), Alvin finally found his calling on alto sax. His proficiency with the instrument earned him entry into the local touring scene where he performed as a session player for Maxi Priest, Edwin Starr and many more. In 1992 Alvin released his debut solo album ‘Let It Blow’ which earned immediate critical acclaim on both sides of the pond, reaching number three on the ‘American Adult Contemporary Charts’. The album also drew plaudits from a number of stateside admirers such as Bill Clinton and none other than Prince himself. This initial success was followed up with a string of equally well-received albums and throughout each era, Alvin has kept his ear to the ground working constantly to reinvent himself.

Alvin has seamlessly transitioned into the digital realm and his strong presence on streaming platforms such as Twitter and Spotify has allowed him to reach international audiences like never before. In 2018 he secured the job of saxophones and vocals with ‘ LIONEL ‘ and, armed with his cool slick style, has established himself as a firm fans favourite.

Lionel Richie has rescheduled his ‘Hello’ tour dates of the UK and Ireland to 2022 – see his updated schedule below.

The ‘Hello’ tour was originally set to take place in 2020, before being rescheduled to this summer. Now, a third set of dates have been announced due to continued COVID-19 restrictions.

“I was originally scheduled to bring my ‘Hello’ Tour to the UK and Europe in the summer of 2020, but for the health and safety of all, with the world in lockdown, the live music industry was forced to reschedule their 2020 tour dates,” Richie wrote in a statement.

Elsewhere, The east London All Points East Festival , has confirmed its plans to return to Victoria Park across the August Bank Holiday Weekend (27-30), the same weekend that the Victorious Festival is set to take place in Portsmouth.

Get ready to party "All Night Long" with Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire this summer!

On Monday, the R&B and funk legends announced they'll be teaming up for a string of 20 concerts, billed as the Sing a Song All Night Long Tour, across North America.

"Well, my friends, the time has come to announce a tour — not just any tour, but the tour I've been trying to do for years, and now it's going to actually happen," said Richie, 73, in a video shared to social media alongside the tour announcement. "This is the place you need to be."

Kicking off Aug. 4 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the tour will see the superstars perform in cities including Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Seattle and more before wrapping on Sept. 15 in Los Angeles.

Tickets go on presale for Citi cardmembers from March 7 at 10 a.m. local time through March 12 at 10 p.m. local time before a general sale begins on March 13 at 10 a.m. local time. VIP packages are also available, with more information regarding all tickets available at Richie's website .

The American Idol judge is taking to the road and is set to play all over the UK next year.

The 71-year-old's Hello Tour was due to take place in 2020 but was postponed and rescheduled three times due to the pandemic.

Kings of Leon: Can We Please Have Fun Tour Where: UK, Europe, North America The indie rock band are performing tracks from their new album “Can We Please Have Fun.” Phantogram will serve as the supporting act starting on August 14.

Blink-182: One More Time Tour Where: North America, UK If you missed Blink-182, have no fear. Travis Barker, Tom Delonge and Mark Hoppus are back on the road following their 2022 reunion and the release of their 2023 album “One More Time.” Pierce the Veil is the special guest for all US dates.

Jennifer Lopez: This Is Me…Live Where: North America See Jennifer Lopez’s new album “This Is Me… Now” and accompanying documentary “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story,” both released in February, come to life in concert. It feels safe to assume that Lopez will also be performing some of her greatest hits including “Jenny From the Block,” “I’m Real” and “Let’s Get Loud.”

Living legend Lionel Richie has announced a new UK summer appearance for 2021 at Nottingham’s Victoria Embankment. Richie will bring his timeless hits – such as Hello , Endless Love and All Night Long (All Night) – to the East Midlands on 11 June 2021.

This follows news that Richie will reschedule his planned 2020 UK tour for summer 2021, including an appearance at Blenheim Palace’s Nocturne Live concert series on 19 June 2021.

He’ll also take to Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground on 3 June, Haptom Court Palace Festival on 15-16 June, Cardiff Castle on 1 August and Edinburgh Princes Street Gardens on 11 August.

Lionel Richie began his career as singer and saxophonist in The Commodores in the late ’60s. He released his debut solo album in 1982, going on to take home four Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe and a coveted Academy Award for Say You, Say Me from the film White Nights .

To date, Lionel Richie has ten solo studio albums to his name, most recently unveiling Tuskegee in 2012. His catalogue of hits includes The Commodores’ Three Times A Lady , Still and Easy , as well as a string of solo hits from US No.1 Truly to his Endless Love duet with Diana Ross.

Richie broke records when over 200,000 people turned out to see his Glastonbury set in 2015. The legendary performance has since been turned into a film, Lionel Richie at Glastonbury .

People are loving Sofia Richie’s Bridgerton baby name after birth of first child announced

Sofia Richie has given birth to a baby girl and revealed her daughter’s Bridgerton-inspired name.

The model, 25, announced the arrival of her first child with music executive husband Elliot Grainge, 30, on Instagram.

Sofia also said they had named their bundle of joy Eloise – which could be a nod to Eloise Bridgerton in hit Netflix period drama Birdgerton.

Alongside a black-and-white image of the baby’s feet, Sofia wrote on the social media site: ‘Eloise Samantha Grainge 5•20•24 best day of my life.

The influencer was inundated with congratulatory messages from her friends and loved ones, including A-List celebrities Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry .

The Kylie Cosmetics founder wrote: ‘Congratulations.’

The Roar pop superstar commented: ‘Our QUEEN.’

Many of her 11M followers also praised

@Mamabouch penned: ‘Congratulations love her name.’

Echoing their sentiment, @katieoshag added: ‘Congratulations!!! Great name.’

Referring to celebrities’ (looking at you, Elon Musk) tendencies to give their children out-there names, @rosemarycastaneda1990 commented: ‘Thank you for naming your beautiful baby girl a normal name!’

It comes after Sofia’s dad, music legend Lionel Richie, 74, admitted he was ‘freaked out’ that his daughter was having her own baby.

He told Extra TV: ‘I’m watching my baby having a baby. Yikes! I mean, that just kind of freaked me out a little bit.

‘But at the same time, Elliot and Sofia are such a force. This little baby is gonna be souped up like you’ve never seen before. It’s amazing.’

It is not Lionel’s first rodeo, though, as he is already grandfather to Harlow, 16, and Sparrow, 14, through his adoptive daughter Nicole Richie.

Sofia announced her pregnancy at the start of this year and said she had been trying to start a family with Elliott since their marriage in April 2023.

‘When we turned over all three tests at the same time they were all positive,’ she told Vogue Magazine.

‘He was so excited, and we both cried. It was crazy and overwhelming and so hard not to scream it from the rooftops. But knowing I was so early, I was so protective – even with my friends.’

Despite their wedding catapulting Sofia to new heights , she went above and beyond to keep the news of her pregnancy quiet and only told their parents for the first two months.

Sofia and Elliot had been friends for years before they eventually started dating at the beginning of 2021, following the star’s split from Scott Disick.

The music mogul, who is notoriously private, popped the question in 2022 – with Sofia sharing the romantic moment on Instagram beside the message: ‘Forever isn’t long enough.’
