‘BLOOD.SWEAT.GLORY’ GAMEDAY TOUR GETS UNDERWAY

12 hours ago News 19 Views

CLINTON – Working alongside its newest corporate partner Mississippi Blood Services, the MHSAA announces the “Blood.Sweat.Glory” Gameday Tour, which will pair campus blood drives with gameday matchups to provide opportunities for schools to compete on and off the field while helping save lives.

“Mississippi Blood Services is extremely proud to partner with the Mississippi High School Activities Association, and we look forward to taking the ‘Blood.Sweat.Glory’ Gameday Tour across the state,” said Mississippi Blood Services Director of Public Relations and Marketing Kasey Dickson. “We want young adults to know how their selfless gift of donating blood could make a profound impact on someone’s life and help the national shortage we are currently experiencing.”

The campaign kicks off this week, highlighting Leland High School and Leflore High School. Overall, the gameday tour will feature four football and four basketball matchups through the 2024-2025 season with schools competing in a blood drive leading up to their competition on the gridiron or hardwood. Mississippi Blood Services will make a donation to the school that donates more units of blood.

“We appreciate the support of Mississippi Blood Services and look forward to the impact this partnership will have all across the state,” said MHSAA Executive Director Rickey Neaves. “The new programming created alongside Mississippi Blood Services provides additional opportunities for us to promote our outstanding member schools in a positive way.”

Future football and basketball matchups as part of the “Blood.Sweat.Glory.” Gameday Tour will be announced at a later date.
