Tour of Britain 2024: The Route

Stage 1 of the Tour of Britain is played out in the Scottish Borders. After a 181.9 kilometres race with an elevation gain of 2,381 metres, the riders cross the line on the cobbled market square in Kelso. The last hill is crested with 23 kilometres to go.

The riders cross from Scotland into England in the 2nd stage . They set off from Darlington and finish on the seafront in Redcar after conquering 2,594 metres of climbing over a 152.1 kilometres route. The iconic Saltburn Bank ascent spices up the finale.

At 166 kilometres, the 3rd stage goes from Sheffield to Barnsley. The elevation gain adds up to 2,736 metres, while the last climb tops out with 4 kilometres to go.

The riders travel from Derby to Newark-on-Trent in the 4th stage of the Tour of Britain. It’s a relatively short test of 138.5 kilometres with 1,229 metres of climbing.

The penultimate stage loops from Northampton back to Northampton on a route covering 146.9 kilometres and featuring and elevation gain of 1,276 metres.

The final stage takes the riders through Suffolk from Lowestoft to Felixstowe. The 158.4 kilometres race is expected to come down to a bunch sprint, as the elevation gain is merely 817 metres.

After a truncated edition in 2022 due to police having to head off to administer the Queen's funeral, Britain's biggest race - the Tour of Britain - returns for (hopefully) a full run in 2023. 

It's a much more compact edition this year with the race taking place mostly in the middle of the country so if you're anywhere south of Manchester and north of Reading you have precious few excuses for not getting to the roadside to cheer on your favourite rider.

Among the riders set to light up the race are previous winner Wout van Aert and 2022 second place finisher Tom Pidcock , who'll hope to go one better in 2023.

Stage 1,   Sunday 3 September

Route: Greater Manchester to Altrincham 

Today's route is near identical to the final stage of the 2019 tour, starting in Altrincham and travelling to Manchester in an anti-clockwise direction taking in the surrounding area’s undulating terrain, including the category two climb of Grains Bar (2.4km at 5.8%) and category one Ramsbottom Rake (1.3km at 8.8%). Those climbs might not sound like much, but together with a number of unclassified rises were enough to significantly reduce the peloton to just a few dozen riders after Ineos Grenadiers applied the pressure. 

The race did eventually culminate in a reduced bunch sprint won by Mathieu van der Poel, but not before we were entertained by a relentless flurry of attacks as teams struggled for control.

Stage 2, Monday 4 September

Route: Wrexham to Wrexham

At just 109.9km, this is a remarkably short stage by any standards, and as a result could witness some atypical racing. Shorter stages tend to produce more intense racing, with riders able to attack earlier on in the knowledge that they won't have to sustain their efforts for as long.

So although the route doesn’t offer many springboards to launch attacks, travelling westwards across the border and into Cheshire rather than eastwards towards the hills of the Clwydian Range to the west, expect riders to try their luck regardless.

Most important of all will be the Eyton Hill, the category three climb summited with just 18.5km left to ride. It’s close enough to the finish for attackers to fully commit themselves, but will the shallow gradients (averaging only around two and three percent) be enough to establish meaningful gaps?

Stage 3, Tuesday 5 September

Route: Goole to Beverley

Setting off from the small market town of Goole, the riders will head north-eastwards to Bridlington, from where they will travel southwards along the coast and then inland again for a finish in Beverley. For the residents of Beverley, this will be a chance to witness a stage finish after the minster town had previously hosted the beginning of Tour de Yorkshire stages in 2016 and 2018, the former won by Harry Tanfield from a successful break, the latter by Dylan Groenewegen in a sprint.

Much like the course of the town’s famous racecourse, the parcours today before arriving at Beverly is mostly flat, but there are a few potential obstacles to overcome if this is to be a sprint finish. The category three hills up Towthorpe Lane and Langtoft must both be climbed during the first of the stage, and after that comes a stretch of about 35km near the coastline which could, if the wind blows strong and in the right direction, cause echelons. But this should in theory be the most nailed-on stage for the sprinters so far.

Stage 4, Wednesday 6 September

Route: Sherwood Forest to Newark-on-Trent

After setting off from Edwinstone in Sherwood Forest, famous for its association with Robin Hood, the riders face the first to the day’s two category three climbs, Kilton Hill, just 15km into the stage. Then, after briefly crossing into Yorkshire and riding through Haworth, where a monument to Tom Simpsons can be found, they will travel southwards again to tackle the next climb, Red Hill Lane.

There’s a whole 85km between the top of Red Hill Lane and the finish, so plenty of time for the race to settle down for a bunch sprint.

Stage 5, Thursday 7 September

Route: Felixstowe to Felixstowe

Perhaps to make up for the lack of any difficult terrain, the organisers have rendered stage five less straightforward than it would otherwise have been by extending it to a total of 192.4km. That makes it by far the longest stage of the race, and could prevent this from being the predictable sprint stage it looks on paper.

Small undulations in the road that would otherwise have been passed over without a second though will sting the legs of the weaker riders, and being so close to the coast a crosswind could encourage a strong team to the front on any exposed roads.

Stage 6, Friday 8 September

Route: Southend-on-Sea to Harlow

Today’s stage is likely to be the last chance for the sprinters to compete for a stage win. And it should be about as nailed-on for them as any stage in the year’s race — there is only one official climb to be overcome, and it’s only a mild category three one tackled with 46km left between its summit and the finish for the peloton to bring back any optimistic attackers who try to use its shallow gradients to get away.

Stage 7, Saturday 9 September

Route: Tewkesbury to Gloucester

The organisers have made the most of the lumpy terrain of the Cotswolds to devise a route that should be selective, and one of the most important days in the GC race.

There is one climb up the category two Winchcombe Hill just 20km after the roll-out in Tewksbury, but the real action will be reserved for the final 30km. First the category two Crawley Hill, which features a nasty ramp at over 20%, then an uncategorized yet deceptively hard 3km rise to the village of Edge, which includes a similarly sharp ramp of 15%.

Stage 8, Sunday 10 September

Route: Margam Country Park to Caerphilly

The climbs to be taken on might not be especially different than those that have preceded them earlier in the week, but there is still a notable upgrade in terms of severity.

That’s clear when the race heads up to the outskirts of Bannau Brycheiniog (formerly Brecon Beacons) national park to take on the first two climbs of the day, Rhigos and Bryn Du, which have both been designated the maximum difficulty racing of category one.

And after a 35km south-easterly trek from the top of the latter comes a double-ascent of the day’s most important climb, and the one on which the entire fate of the Tour of Britain could be decided — Caerphilly Mountain.

In truth it’s more of a hill than a mountain, lasting just 1.3km, but that’s still enough road for its viscous average gradient of 10% to really sting and force a selection.

Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men 2024 route revealed

The Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men 2024 has announced its host venues, promising six thrilling stages from Kelso in the Scottish Borders to Felixstowe on the Suffolk coast. This 20th edition of Britain’s premier national tour will traverse regions including the Scottish Borders, Tees Valley, South Yorkshire, West Northamptonshire, and East Suffolk.

2024 Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men Route

Stage 1: Scottish Borders

The race kicks off on Tuesday 3rd September in the scenic Scottish Borders, with an opening stage starting and finishing in Kelso’s cobbled market square. This stage will feature a finishing circuit, providing spectators a chance to witness the action unfold. Councillor Scott Hamilton expressed pride in hosting the event, recognising its impact on the community and local economy.

Stage 2: Tees Valley

On Wednesday 4th September, the race moves to Tees Valley, starting in Darlington. This area has become familiar to cycling fans, having hosted various races, including the Lloyds Bank National Circuit Race Championships. The route includes a challenging climb of Saltburn Bank, ending on the Redcar seafront. Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen commented, “It is fantastic news that our area will be hosting a stage of the Tour of Britain and we look forward to welcoming some of the world’s best riders.”

Stage 3: South Yorkshire

Thursday 5th September sees the race return to South Yorkshire for the first time since 2007. The stage starts in Sheffield and finishes in Barnsley, a town well-versed in professional cycling events. South Yorkshire’s Mayor Oliver Coppard noted the region’s enthusiasm for cycling, saying, “South Yorkshire is a place that loves a bike race, and even more, loves to welcome the world.”

Stage 4: West Northamptonshire

Details for stage four, set for Friday 6th September, will be announced soon. However, West Northamptonshire Council’s Cllr Daniel Lister is already excited, stating, “Events like this play an important role in bringing communities together and inspiring people to take up sport and live a more active and healthier lifestyle.”

Stage 5: Northampton

The penultimate stage on Saturday 7th September takes place in Northampton, marking the men’s Tour’s first visit. The town has previously hosted stages of the women’s race, drawing record spectator numbers. The excitement is palpable as the council looks forward to another successful event, with Cllr Lister highlighting the positive impact on local communities and economies.

Stage 6: East Suffolk

The final stage on Sunday 8th September starts and finishes in East Suffolk, beginning from Lowestoft’s promenade and ending on Sea Road in Felixstowe. East Suffolk Council’s Cllr Sarah Whitelock shared her enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to see the return of the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men this year, which is especially exciting as the entire final stage will be held within East Suffolk.”

British Cycling Events Managing Director, Jonathan Day, expressed gratitude towards local partners and communities supporting the race. He said, “We’re delighted to be bringing top-level racing and the joy of cycling to communities across the country in September.”

T he  2023 Tour of Britain enters its third stage today, and will see East Riding of Yorkshire host a full stage of the tour for the first time.

This stage will take place almost 15 years to the day since the event last passed through the county, during a stage that travelled from Hull to Dalby Forest.

Dutch rider Olav Kooij became the first rider in four years to win back-to-back stages of the tour on Monday as he claimed victory in stage 2 in Wrexham . His Belgian Jumbo-Visma teammate Wout van Aert finished third behind BORA–hansgrohe’s Danny van Poppel.

It means Kooij holds the overall lead heading into stage 3 and Jumbo-Visma remain in firm control of the event.

“We went again for another win today – we took control and tried to catch the break which took a huge effort by two of our guys. We went into the last kilometre in a really good position again and were able to take the second win,” Kooij said.

What is the Tour of Britain route today?

The Howdens Stage, which runs from Goole to Beverley over 154.7km, is one for the sprinters.

Following a start in the port town of Goole, the peloton will head north to Howden, Market Weighton, and Driffield. Riders will then get a taste of British seaside life when they race through Bridlington, before they head inland towards the finish line upon reaching Hornsea.

The expected sprint finish will take place at Beverley Westwood, a popular green space for families that sits next to the town’s racecourse.

ITV4 is broadcasting all eight stages of the 2023 Tour of Britain in their entirety. A one-hour highlights show will also be shown each evening.

Kelso will host the start and finish of Stage 1 of the 2024 Tour of Britain on Tuesday 3 September.

The Tour of Britain attracts some of the world’s top cyclists, including Olympic, World and Commonwealth champions and the Scottish Borders has hosted successful stage starts and finishes over a number of years, including in Kelso town centre in 2017 and 2019.

This year, Kelso will host both the Stage 1 start and finish, with the entire route in the Borders. The race will also pass through the finish line in Kelso at the start of a loop before returning for the sprint finish.

What you can do to support the Tour of Britain

• Open your business and consider offering discounts or promotions on Tuesday 3 September - the town centre will likely be very busy from the stage start throughout the day until the finish. You can log offers online and these will be promoted on the borders.co.uk website and social media channels
• Display Tour of Britain posters on your premises
• Dress your window in the Tour of Britain colour themes (red/ white/ blue) and/or cycling theme. Please note entries for the window dressing competition have now closed.
• Share social media posts promoting the event.

Stage two timetable

Wrexham is welcoming the return of the UK’s most prestigious cycle race, the Tour of Britain, for the first time in eight years this September.

Wrexham is in a unique position within the 2023 Tour being the only region to host both a start and finish.

Key event information:

• The start and finish line will both be located on Chester Street
• Cyclists are expected to leave at 11:45am via Powell Road roundabout and onto Chester Road
• Cyclists are expected to return at approx. 2:30pm via Tuttle Street, Yorke Street and onto Chester Street
• The staged area will be on the Library car park
• The Tour Village and additional activities/stalls will be on Llwyn Isaf
• Crowd barriers will be placed along either side of the road from the Powell Road roundabout down to Tuttle Street.

On-street parking and deliveries will not be permitted along the last 8km of the route between the hours of 10am-3pm (Chester Street restrictions detailed below). Any vehicle left unattended may be removed from site and taken to a secure compound, where a fee will need to be paid for its release.

Sunday 3rd September

There will be no on-street parking permitted on Chester Street from 6pm on Sunday 3 September. Chester Street will re-open after the race on Monday 4 September.

A full road closure will be in place from the Powell Road roundabout to Holt Street junction (Wingetts). Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Vehicle access will be permitted up Chester Street pedestrianised area (until 1pm) – however vehicles will only be permitted to turn right onto Holt Street.

There will be no access to the following car parks via Chester Street

Waterworld (Freedom Leisure) Library Guildhall (Members) Wellbeing Hub Memorial Hall The Wellbeing hub staff car park can be accessed via Holt Street (managed by Traffic Management) There will be no entry/exit between 1:30pm and 4:00pm when the cyclists are expected to return.

Part of the Waterworld long stay car park will be used for blue badge holders, accessed via Holt Street (managed by Traffic Management)

St Giles car park will be closed from 1pm and will re-open when Tuttle Street re-opens Alternative car parking arrangements are being explored, however active travel and public transport into the city centre are being encouraged.

1pm – approx. 6pm

The road closure on Chester street will be extended down to Tuttle Street. Strictly no vehicle access during this time.

Cyclists are expected to arrive at approx. 2:30pm. When the race has finished, event take down will begin. Roads will be re-opened once safe to do so.

Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy and Regeneration, said, “With such a huge event being held in Wrexham it will inevitably cause some inconvenience to road users.

“We will endeavour to ensure that this disruption is kept to a minimum and that the city centre set to benefits from the influx of visitors expected from all over the region.”

The 2022 Tour of Britain kicks off on Sunday, with riders racing from Aberdeen to the Isle of Wight over eight gruelling days.

Tom Pidcock, who won Olympic gold for Great Britain in the cross-country mountain biking in 2020, is among the hopefuls. He will be riding for Ineos Grenadiers.

Among those challenging him are Israel-Premier Tech’s Dylan Teuns, a fierce Belgian rider making his debut for his new team, and Austrian national champion Felix Großschartner, representing Bora–Hansgrohe.

Here is the full route and schedule for the race.

When is the 2022 Tour of Britain?

The Tour of Britain takes place over eight days, with one stage per day.

The first stage starts from Aberdeen on Sunday 4 September . The final stage will be on the Isle of Wight – a Tour of Britain first – on Sunday 11 September .

The tour will be televised live in full on ITV4. Here are the timings you need:

• Stage one, Sunday 4th September – 10.45am to 4pm, highlights at 8pm
• Stage two, Monday 5th September – 10.45am to 3.45pm, highlights at 10pm

What is the full route?

Stage one – Aberdeen to Glenshee Ski Centre (181.3km)

Route description: Not only will this stage feature an entirely new route compared to last year’s finale in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, it will also include the first ever opening day summit finish in modern race history. The Old Military Road climb from Auchallater to Glenshee Ski Centre measures 9.1km long, with the final five kilometres averaging a gradient of 4.8 per cent.

Stage two – Hawick to Duns (175.2km)

Route description: Hawick, famous for its knitwear and the first whisky distillery to open in the region since 1837, will be the starting point of stage two. The race’s ninth visit to the Borders will feature a mix of roads old and new to the event, before a first-ever finish in Duns. The stage winner will be crowned in the shadow of the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum, which celebrates the two-time Formula 1 world champion who lived nearby.

Stage three – Durham to Sunderland (163.6km)

Route description: History will be made when riders roll out in the shadow of the city’s famous cathedral: Durham has never previously hosted a stage start or finish in a professional edition of the Tour of Britain. Stage three’s route will initially head west, taking the peloton through the North Pennines AONB, before heading back through County Durham and into Sunderland. The route will weave past some of the city’s beautiful green spaces and through communities on its approach to the finish line outside of Sunderland’s new City Hall, which forms part of a £500m development in the city.

Stage four – Redcar to Duncombe Park, Helmsley (149.5km)

Route description: The start will be the first time the borough of Redcar and Cleveland has hosted the Tour of Britain, while the finish marks the race’s return to North Yorkshire in 13 years. Popular seaside towns such as Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Whitby will be raced through before the route heads into the North York Moors National Park. The unforgiving final 30km of this 149.5km stage feature the climbs of Carlton Bank (2km long, 9.8 per cent average gradient) and Newgate Bank (2km long, 6 per cent average gradient) before descending into the finish at Duncombe Park, one of Yorkshire’s finest historic houses and estates.

Stage five – West Bridgford to Mansfield (186.8km)

Route description: Stage five will start and finish in the same places – West Bridgford and Mansfield – as it did four years ago, albeit with a different route that takes in Cotgrave, Gedling, Southwell, Retford and Worksop. Riders will then head into Mansfield via Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest. This will be the only stage of the 2022 Tour with less than 2,000m of climbing.

Stage six – Tewkesbury to Gloucester (170.9km)

Route description: With the start and finish locations separated by a little over 10 miles, fans will easily be able to attend both on race day, which will further add to the atmosphere at this free-to-watch sporting spectacle. Stage six’s route will head into the Cotswolds before approaching the finish by the historic Gloucester Docks via South Gloucestershire.

Stage seven – West Bay to Ferndown (175.9km)

Route description: Dorset’s natural beauty – including the Jurassic Coast Unesco World Heritage Site that runs through the county – will be showcased to the world as riders travel from West Bay, known for its striking golden cliffs, to Ferndown on Saturday 10 September. Stage seven will run parallel with the West Dorset Heritage coast before passing through Dorchester, West Lulworth and Corfe Castle. The route heads inland towards Wareham, Milton Abbas and Wimborne Minster and loops round into the heart of Ferndown town centre.

Stage eight – Ryde to The Needles, Isle of Wight (148.9km)

Route description: Stage eight promises unforgettable for riders and fans alike, owing to the spectacular 148.9km route from Ryde to The Needles. Not only will the route showcase the island to a worldwide TV audience – its county town of Newport, as well as the popular tourist locations of Cowes, Sandown, Shanklin, Totland, Ventnor and Yarmouth all feature – fans will be able to catch the race in multiple locations owing to the way it loops around the Isle. The final 20km will take the peloton along the stunning Military Road, which offers breathtaking panoramic views out across the English Channel, towards The Needles Landmark Attraction. This year’s race culminates with a 2km climb up to Tennyson Down, the final 400m of which average a gradient of 9.6 per cent, making it the toughest ending to any Tour of Britain in modern history.

Teams announced for the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men

Six teams that participated in this summer’s tour de france, including home favourites ineos grenadiers, headline the field for the 20th edition of the lloyds bank tour of britain men this september, which has today been announced..

18 teams from 12 countries will line-up in Scotland for stage one on Tuesday 3 September for a field of 108 riders.

Four UCI WorldTour teams will head to Britain, with regular participants INEOS Grenadiers and Team dsm-firmenich PostNL joined by race debutants Bahrain Victorious, and the return of one of the race’s most successful teams, Soudal Quick-Step, who will race in Britain for the first time since 2021 when they took the last of their 23 stage wins in the Tour.

Three teams will showcase the next generation of WorldTour riders, as three UCI WorldTour teams support their race with their development teams, as the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale, Groupama-FDJ, and Lidl – Trek Future Racing all ride for the first time.

Among the UCI ProTeams scheduled to ride are two former stage winners in the race, Norway’s Uno-X Mobility, who won in Gloucester in 2023 with Ramus Tiller, and the Israel – Premier Tech team, who last raced in Britain in 2022 when they won the opening stage of the race with Kiwi rider Corbin Strong.

The final UCI ProTeam is Q36.5 Pro Cycling, who enjoyed a spectacular debut in 2023, as Damien Howson came third overall, Mark Donovan took the Best British Rider honours, and the squad took the team classification award.

Home fans will have the chance to cheer on a Great Britain national team, plus British leading British teams and fan favourites Saint Piran and TRINITY Racing, both of whom have impressed with attacking performances in past editions of the Tour, and can be expected to take the fight to the higher ranked UCI WorldTour and ProTeams.

The Global 6 United team return for their fourth Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men, being joined by four debutant UCI Continental teams, including the German REMBE Pro Cycling Team Sauerland squad, who have fan favourite and double Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men King of the Mountains winner Jacob Scott (2019 & 2021) in their roster.

The French Van Rysel – Roubaix team, who have a history of one of the sport’s leading developers of talent; the Portugese Sabgal / Anicolor team; and the American Project Echeleon Racing squad, who have taken several victories in UCI stage races in North America this season round out the line-up of teams.

Commenting on the announcement, Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Race Director Rod Ellingworth said; “We are excited by the line-up of teams for this year’s Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain, and the combination of squads that will be lining up on 3 September. Many of the teams have enjoyed previous success with stage wins and overall victories in the race, while others making their debut will be keen to add their names to the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men roll of honour this year.

“We are sure that fans can look forward to six thrilling days of action, and we can’t wait to see all of the teams in action next month.”

Commenting on the team’s return to their home Tour, in which they have won 20 stages, INEOS Grenadiers CEO John Allert said; “We’re delighted to be lining up at this year’s Tour of Britain, and excited to get out there and thank our amazing home fans for their support.

“We’ll be racing through some of British cycling’s heartlands, through areas that have produced some of our greatest champions. With a number of British riders in our team, I’m sure we’ll give the home crowd plenty to cheer about.”

Richard Pascoe, owner of Saint Piran Pro Cycling, added: “The Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men is deep in our psyche as a cycling nation. It shows how we can deal with adversity and success in equal measure. For Saint Piran, as a family we are aware we have less resources than other teams but it is a chance for us to show the millions of people watching what we can do and what we are about.

“The Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men is also about journeys - for the riders, the organisers and most importantly the fans. More details on participating riders will be announced during the second half of August in the build up to the publication of the provisional rider list for the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men.

The Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men begins in the Scottish Borders on Tuesday 3 September followed by stages in the Tees Valley, South Yorkshire, the East Midlands and West Northamptonshire, before concluding in Suffolk on Sunday 8 September after six stages of action-packed racing.

Oasis reunion? Liam and Noel Gallagher tease Britpop fans with strong hints they could soon bury the hatchet

London — Fans of British rock band Oasis buzzed with anticipation Monday as Liam and Noel Gallagher teased that they could be returning to the stage together, 15 years after the band's last performance.

The Britpop band — which spectacularly broke up in 2009 after rising to fame with hit songs "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back In Anger" and "Champagne Supernova" — could play a series of gigs in London and Manchester next summer according to industry insiders cited by the Sunday Times newspaper.

Rumours included 10 dates being booked at London's Wembley Stadium and a possible headline slot at Glastonbury festival as the brothers reportedly thawed their decade-long feud .

At midnight on Monday, both brothers and the official Oasis account hinted on X that an announcement would be made on Tuesday (August 27) at 8 a.m. (3 a.m. Eastern), posting the same clip with the date and time flickering in the style of the Oasis logo.

The clip teasing the announcement was also shown on screens at the end of Liam's Sunday gig at the Reading music festival, part of the younger brother's "Definitely Maybe" tour.

Liam also replied to a link of the Sunday Times article posted on X with "See you down the front", and in another post on X said, "I never did like that word FORMER".

Formed in 1991 in Manchester, Oasis was credited with reviving Britpop music, keeping fans riveted with the public fights between Liam and Noel and their chart-rivalry with the London-based group Blur.

Sibling tensions came to a head during a spat in Paris during the Rock en Seine festival in 2009, when Liam broke one of Noel's guitars.

The brothers have not played together since the acrimonious split, but both still regularly play their old band's hits to sold-out crowds.

Until now, they had largely communicated in public through taking swipes at each other on social media.

If true, the reunion would take place 30 years after Oasis's 1995 album "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?", which received international critical and commercial acclaim.

The brothers have teased at a reconciliation before , with Noel last year saying "never say never" about a reunion.

Asked by CBS News' Anthony Mason during an interview in 2017 whether he could have made his career in music without the catapult start provided by Oasis and his brother, Noel didn't hesitate:

"No chance," he said. "No way. I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without him, and he wouldn't have gotten anywhere without me. It was as simple as that."

What is a definite departure?

A departure is shown as 'Definite Departure' once it has reached a minimum number of guests. That particular departure will definitely run, barring any extraordinary circumstances. We update these regularly, and you can book any departure. While it is highly unlikely a departure doesn't meet the minimum number of guests, you will be offered the best alternative dates or a full refund of any payment made if this is the case. If there are ever any changes to your departure, we will contact you.

How can I book flights for my tour? What about extra hotel nights?

You can add flights and extra hotel nights directly through Trafalgar, so that everything is taken care of, leaving you to relax and enjoy your tour. If you're booking online, once you've selected your travel dates and room type, you'll be offered an option to add extra hotel nights and flights. Alternatively, you can call us to book and one of our travel experts can advise on your options.

How much is the deposit for a Trafalgar tour?

On most of our departures, you can secure your trip today with a low deposit from just $200.

Yes, it is mandatory to sign up on the Trafalgar portal to access and fill out required registration details for obtaining tour documents.

The chargeable transfer costs $65 per person for each way between London Heathrow Airport and the designated hotel.

The tour has several departure dates, some of which are marked as definite while others may be 'On Request' and subject to confirmation.

The pricing for the Best of Britain tour is $4,350.00 per person for 2 adults in a twin room for the specified tour on June 13, 2024.

Additional services like travel insurance are created as separate line items and are explicitly added to the booking, accruing additional costs.

Yes, you can cancel your 'On Request' booking without any penalty and you will receive a full refund of any pre-authorized funds.

Chargeable transfers to and from London Airports can be added to your booking upon your confirmation and approval of the rates specified.

Independent hotel nights do not include transfer service, which is only available when you book pre or post hotel nights with the operator.

Once registration on the Trafalgar portal is complete, electronic documents are sent to your email approximately 21 days before your trip.

• Currency £ Pound Sterling England, Scotland and Wales

As a traveller from USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa you will need an adaptor for type G.

• Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
• Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
• For any tour departing before 4th November 2024 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after 4th November 2024, a minimum payment of €100 is required to confirm your booking with Trafalgar. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
• Some departure dates and prices may vary and Trafalgar will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
• The following cards are accepted for "Trafalgar" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
• Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
• TourRadar is an authorised Agent of Trafalgar. Please familiarise yourself with the Trafalgar payment, cancellation and refund conditions .
• Insurance Unless otherwise mentioned, TourRadar does not provide travel insurance. We do however recommend purchasing it through our tried and trusted partner, World Travel Nomads .
