I bought the Clicgear 3.5 push cart and so far I love it. I have a Sun Mountain Sync bag and have some questions. I find the clubs rests on top of the storage net and score card and makes it difficult to access these areas.

I know there is an accessory to make the bag sit more upright and away from the handle and net area.(Clicgear Tour Bag Kit) This is a great idea but what concerns me is the steering. With the weight being mostly on the front wheel, does it make the steering much more difficult? Is this a deal killer? Anyone with experience with these tour bag kits have any input?

Also was wondering about the stability once you add this kit on. Is it less stable? What about the stability going up and down hills? Lastly, I have heard that some people say not to mount the lower piece of the kit and leave the original lower piece.

Any people who have this kit,please chime in with your experiences. I want to make sure before I decide to purchase it or not. Thanks.

I got the tour bag adapter and love it. Stands my bag up "taller" and makes getting in/out easier. I do find it to get in the way when folded, unless you flip the little arms around like the instructions tell you to (ain't nobody got time for that), but aside from that it's great.

I've even put my Hoofer and my small Titleist carry bag on it and those sit better with the tour bag adapter as well. You probably won't regret it. Super stable, too! The other day I just let it go down a few hills (fully expecting it to topple over) and it stayed upright just fine.

I have that exact setup (Clicgear 3.5 / Sun Mountain Sync). No issue with handling having the tour kit installed.

You need to mount the lower kit, otherwise the bag will rub on the front wheel for sure.

I've noticed a few of my buddies can't get used to putting their woods on the top when using the push cart. I arrange my bag a little differently than if I'm in an electric cart and find that I can eliminate a lot of the awkwardness with the net pouch and console.

Can't say I have ever noticed any difference.

I have it and have not found that it affects steering or weight distribution at all...

I can't remember what it was like before but the bottom does seem to me to sometimes cause problems. I use a Titleist stand bag now, and the bottom has some issues sitting properly at the bottom. Perhaps it's because it's not designed with stand bags in mind, but if you have a Sync, the top section is what really matters - pushes the bag a bit more vertical.

Took this today on the 2nd tee for a different thread, but you can see the way the bag sits.

I didn't put the bottom in "right", just kind of threw the bag on quickly so I could get to the tee ahead of a big group.

..only to find out I was behind a group of 27. Sunday I played 18 in 3 hours. Today 9 took 2+18. But I digest...

Bag sits fine on the cart with the tour bag kit. You shouldn't have problems.

When using my Sync, I also put the straps through the "Cart Strap" channels under the pockets. It means the top arms are also in there, which helps hold the bag even better.

It's a little painful getting the strap and arms through them, but well worth the effort.

I have the bag cozy and it sits the bag up a few inches. Not as much as the tour bag kit but that extra few inches is nice for access to the bottom slots of my bag.

Might work as an in the middle compromise.

Thanks everyone, I like the idea of the bag cozy. I find the tour bag kit looks like it sits upright a little too much with the Sun Mountain Sync bag. Hopefully the cozy would make the bag sit up enough to get into the net and storage compartment easily. Any other people using the cozy? Any advice? Any pics?

The cozy is meant for stand bags. I have it on mine for my hoofer. It's there to keep the bag from twisting (which it does a very poor job of, IMO).

That's a bummer. I bought the cozy to see if I could avoid buying a new bag because I like my bag. It works very well for me.

It also stands the bag about 3 inches off the standard bag holding brace. I'm tall so I always have the handle as high up as it'll go and I don't have any problems pulling a wedge or getting to the net.

I bought and returned the Cozy because the velcro wasn't long enough for the legs of my bag.

• 1 year later...

I’m putting the tour bag extension on now - or attempting to anyway. I took the 2 bolts out of the existing top arms, but I’m at a loss on how to get these off of here. Anybody have some words of wisdom? Working on a 3.5+
