Five-time Emmy winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will play the title character in The Wiz revival when it lands on Broadway in spring 2024, producers announced today, with Doom Patrol’ s Alan Mingo Jr. ( Kinky Boots ) taking the role during many of the production’s pre-Broadway tour dates.

The casting comes after the recent news that Kyle Ramar Freeman cast been cast as the Lion, Phillip Johnson Richardson as the Tinman, and Avery Wilson as the Scarecrow. Additional casting, including for the character of Dorothy, will be announced in the coming weeks

The Wiz will launch its national tour this fall in Baltimore, MD, home of the 1974 world premiere of the original musical.

Today’s casting was announced by producers Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson, Brian Anthony Moreland and Ambassador Theatre Group. Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker also recently joined the producing team.

Wayne Brady and Alan Mingo Jr. Will Lead THE WIZ on Broadway and Tour

Brady will appear in the title role on Broadway, and in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Mingo, Jr. will appear in several touring cities.

Emmy winner and Grammy Award nominee  Wayne Brady  (Hamilton, Whose Line Is it Anyway?) and  Alan Mingo Jr. (Kinky Boots, Doom Patrol) will lead the production as The Wiz in the all-new production of the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning hit musical The Wiz.

The production will also welcome  Kandi Burruss  and  Todd Tucker  as producers of the musical.

Brady will star as The Wiz on Broadway in Spring of 2024, San Francisco (January 16 – February 11, 2024) at the Golden Gate Theatre , and Los Angeles (February 13 – March 3, 2024) at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. Mingo Jr. will star in the role of The Wiz in the following cities of The Wiz National Tour this fall, kicking off with the tour launch in Baltimore, including Cleveland, OH, Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, PA, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Greenville, SC, Chicago, IL, Des Moines, IA, Tempe, AZ and San Diego, CA.

The cast will also include previously announced  Kyle Ramar Freeman  (A Strange Loop) as the Lion,  Phillip Johnson Richardson  (Sharper, Apple+) as the Tinman, and Avery Wilson (The Voice) as the Scarecrow, respectively. Richardson and Wilson will be making their Broadway debuts. Additional casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

Featuring a book by  William F. Brown  and a Tony Award-winning score by  Charlie Smalls  (and others), director  Schele Williams  (The Notebook, revival of Disney’s Aida), award-winning choreographer  JaQuel Knight  (Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies,” Black is King), additional material by Tony-nominated and Emmy-nominated writer and TV host  Amber Ruffin  (“The Amber Ruffin Show,” “Late Night With Seth Meyers ”),  Joseph Joubert  (music supervision, orchestrations, & music arrangements), Allen René Louis (vocal arrangements, music arrangements), and Derek Dixie (dance music arranger) are conjuring up an Oz unlike anything ever seen before.  A dynamite infusion of ballet, jazz, and modern pop will bring a whole new groove to easing on down the road. 

The Wiz design team will include scenic design by Academy Award-winning  Hannah Beachler  (Black Panther, Beyoncé’s Black is King and Lemonade), costume design by Emmy Award-winning and two-time Academy Award-nominated Sharen Davis (Ray, Dreamgirls), lighting design by Barrymore Award-winning Ryan J. O’Gara (Thoughts of a Colored Man), sound design by  Jon Weston  (Parade) and wig design by Academy Award-winning  Mia Neal  (Ma Rainey's Black Bottom). 

The Wiz will launch its national tour in the Fall of 2023 in Baltimore, MD, home of the 1974 world premiere of the musical, September 23-30, 2023. Following its run at the Hippodrome Theatre, the tour will slide into Emerald cities across the country before it begins its limited engagement on Broadway in the Spring 2024.

Based on L. Frank Baum ’s children’s book, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”, The Wiz takes one of the world’s most enduring (and enduringly white) American fantasies, and transforms it into an all-Black musical extravaganza for the ages.

The Wiz premiered on Broadway in 1975 and became an instant sensation, going on to win seven Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Featured Actor in a Musical ( Ted Ross ), Best Featured Actress in a Musical ( Dee Dee Bridgewater ), Best Choreography ( George Faison ), and in a Broadway first, Best Direction of a Musical and Best Costume Design ( Geoffrey Holder ). “Ease on Down the Road” became the show’s break-out single, and “Home” has since become a bona fide classic. That original production ran for four years (first at The Majestic Theatre and later at The Broadway Theatre) – and 1,672 performances – on Broadway. A 1978 film adaptation starred Diana Ross , Ted Ross , Mabel King , Richard Pryor and Lena Horne , and marked Quincy Jones ’ first collaboration with Michael Jackson .

Wayne Brady  (The Wiz) multiple Emmy Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated Wayne Brady has made his mark on stage and screen as an actor, producer, singer, dancer, songwriter, and television personality. A true multi-hyphenate, Brady’s career path and personal life journey have helped him see the world in a unique way. His aspirations have always gone beyond solely starring in various entertainment projects, and under his Makin’ It Up Productions banner, he’s set out to create new content across different platforms that showcase innovation and inclusivity in fun and powerful ways.

A five-time Emmy winner (the first to win Daytime and Primetime awards in two consecutive years), Brady has an impressive TV resume including Whose Line Is It Anyway? The Masked Singer, Dancing With The Stars, Black Lighting, The Good Fight, and Showtime’s American Gigolo– each spotlighting different aspects of his immense talent. In addition to being a force in front of the camera, Brady is heavily active behind the scenes wearing the hats of host & executive producer for Let’s Make A Deal, Game of Talents, and Comedy IQ, which he also co-created.

All of this follows on the heels of the success of his award-winning daytime talk show The Wayne Brady Show. Long an accomplished singer and performer, Brady’s musical acumen has always been a personal passion and he used that as fuel to help win the second season of The Masked Singer. 'The Wiz' Revival Starring Wayne Brady Sets Broadway Premiere Date

'The Wiz' opens for a limited engagement at New York City's Marquis Theatre April 17, 2024, with preview performances beginning March 29

The Wiz is returning to Broadway!

On Monday, Ambassador Theatre Group and producers Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson and Brian Anthony Moreland announced that the revival of the hit 1975 musical will open on Broadway Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The production is slated to run as a limited engagement at New York City's Marquis Theatre, with preview performances scheduled to begin March 29.

Wayne Brady takes on the title role in the revival, which began a national tour preceding its upcoming Broadway engagement that began in Baltimore on Sunday — premiering in the same city that the original production of The Wiz also made its world premiere.

The show was initially announced last December, when the musical's producers labeled it an "entirely reimagined revival." It features a book written by William F. Brown and score from  Tony Award  winner Charlie Smalls.

Director Schele Williams and choreographer JaQuel Knight will make their Broadway directorial and choreography debuts, respectively, when the production makes its way to New York City in the spring.

"I wouldn't be on Broadway if it wasn't for The Wiz … the music, the costumes, the choreography and Stephanie Mills!" Williams said in a statement when The Wiz 's revival was first announced. "Seeing that show changed my life."

"It is, in every way, a celebration of Black excellence," she added at the time. "I am honored to helm this production and I can't think of a better time to tell this story."

In addition to Brady, 51, in the production's title role, the new production also stars Nichelle Lewis as Dorothy, Deborah Cox as Glinda and Melody A. Betts as Aunt Em and Evillene. Kyle Ramar Freeman plays the Lion in The Wiz , while Phillip Johnson Richardson portrays the Tinman, and Avery Wilson plays the Scarecrow.

The Wiz made its principal casting announcements in June, with Brady writing on Instagram at the time that watching director Williams and writer Amber Ruffin "steer this beautiful classic [as its director and writer] is a dream!"

The Wiz 's ensemble also includes Maya Bowles, Shayla Alayre Caldwell, Jay Copeland, Allyson Kaye Daniel, Judith Franklin, Michael Samarie George, Collin Heyward, Amber Jackson, Olivia Jackson, Christina Jones, Polanco Jones, Kolby Kindle, Mariah Lyttle, Kareem Marsh, Anthony Murphy, Cristina Rae, Matthew Sims Jr, Avilon Trust Tate, Keenan D. Washington and Timothy Wilson.

Brown  and a Tony Award-winning score by  Charlie Smalls  (and others), director  Schele Williams  ( The Notebook , revival of Disney’s Aida ), award-winning choreographer  JaQuel Knight  (Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies,”  Black is King ), additional material by Tony-nominated and Emmy-nominated writer and TV host  Amber Ruffin (“The Amber Ruffin Show,” “Late Night With Seth Meyers”), Joseph Joubert (music supervision, orchestrations, & music arrangements), and Allen René Louis (vocal arrangements, music arrangements) are conjuring up an Oz unlike anything ever seen before. A dynamite infusion of ballet, jazz, and modern pop will bring a whole new groove to easing on down the road.  

The Wiz  design team will include scenic design by Academy Award-winning  Hannah Beachler  ( Black Panther,  Beyoncé’s  Black is King  and  Lemonade) , costume design by Emmy Award-winning and two-time Academy Award-nominated  Sharen Davis ( Ray , Dreamgirls ), lighting design by Barrymore Award-winning  Ryan J. O’Gara ( Thoughts of a Colored Man ), sound design by  Jon Weston  ( Parade ), projection design by Daniel Brodie  ( Motown the Musical ) and wig design by  Charles LaPointe  ( MJ the Musica l).

Based on L. Frank Baum’s children’s book, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”, The Wiz takes one of the world’s most enduring (and enduringly white) American fantasies, and transforms it into an all-Black musical extravaganza for the ages.

The Wiz premiered on Broadway in 1975 and became an instant sensation, going on to win seven Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Ted Ross), Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Dee Dee Bridgewater), Best Choreography (George Faison), and in a Broadway first, Best Direction of a Musical and Best Costume Design (Geoffrey Holder). “Ease on Down the Road” became the show’s break-out single, and “Home” has since become a bona fide classic. That original production ran for four years (first at The Majestic Theatre and later at The Broadway Theatre) – and 1,672 performances – on Broadway. A 1978 film adaptation starred Diana Ross, Ted Ross, Mabel King, Richard Pryor and Lena Horne, and marked Quincy Jones’ first collaboration with Michael Jackson.

Biographies

Wayne Brady  ( The Wiz)  multiple Emmy Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated Wayne Brady has made his mark on stage and screen as an actor, producer, singer, dancer, songwriter, and television personality. A true multi-hyphenate, Brady’s career path and personal life journey have helped him see the world in a unique way. His aspirations have always gone beyond solely starring in various entertainment projects, and under his Makin’ It Up Productions banner, he’s set out to create new content across different platforms that showcase innovation and inclusivity in fun and powerful ways.

A five-time Emmy winner (the first to win Daytime and Primetime awards in two consecutive years), Brady has an impressive TV resume including  Whose Line Is It Anyway?   The Masked Singer, Dancing With The Stars, Black Lighting, The Good Fight,  and Showtime’s  American Gigolo – each spotlighting different aspects of his immense talent. In addition to being a force in front of the camera, Brady is heavily active behind the scenes wearing the hats of host & executive producer for  Let’s Make A Deal, Game of Talents , and  Comedy IQ , which he also co-created.

All of this follows on the heels of the success of his award-winning daytime talk show  The Wayne Brady Show . Long an accomplished singer and performer, Brady’s musical acumen has always been a personal passion and he used that as fuel to help win the second season of  The Masked Singer . Off his victory, Brady dropped a brand-new original single, entitled “Flirtin’ w/ Forever,” which quickly climbed the streaming charts, as well as an accompanying music video. This follows the success of his debut album which was headlined by a version of Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come” which earned him a Grammy Award nomination in the Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance category. Brady has also triumphed on-stage starting with his Broadway debut starring as legal showman ‘Billy Flynn’ in the long-running hit musical, “ Chicago .” Soon after Brady starred as the ground-breaking character ‘Lola’ in “ Kinky Boots ,” Broadway’s Tony Award-winning Best Musical, with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. Brady would later assume his biggest theatrical role to date headlining as ‘Aaron Burr’ in the Chicago production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning juggernaut “ Hamilton .” Recently Brady returned to Broadway as part of  Freestyle Love Supreme  working with the production team of Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, and Anthony Veneziale. The unique show combines the fusion of hip-hop, improv, and comedy which won it a special Tony Award for its innovation and contributions to the world of theater.

Earlier this year, Brady announced he will again partner with the  Freestyle Love Supreme  team as well as Speechless to create “FLS+,” a new company committed to making improv globally accessible. Brady’s career evolution has also expanded to TikTok, amassing a stellar following in a short period of time. Whether utilizing social media to raise awareness of important social issues or collaborating with his extended family, the medium has helped him continue to reach and interact with new fans in surprising and innovative ways.

Shayla Alayre Caldwell  (Ensemble) is a third generation native of New Haven, Connecticut. She began dancing at a very young age after being introduced to Guinean culture by her parents and dance mentor. She was accepted into the B.F.A. program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 2007. A few highlights of her dance career include representing the USA at the International Festival of Ballet held in Cali, Colombia, performing at the infamous Joyce Theater, Delacorte Theater in Central Park, The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and being featured in The New York Times. She is overjoyed to premiere in her Broadway debut amongst so many talented people with the revival of The Wiz! IG: @salayre_jet.

Jay Copeland  (Ensemble) is excited to be part of the original revival cast for  The Wiz !  Recent stage credits include:  Ain’t Misbehavin  (“Andre”) Geva and Westport Theatres,  Hairspray  (Seaweed),  Jesus Christ Superstar  (Judas), and the opening act for  Patti LaBelle in Concert 2022 . In 2022, Jay was a contestant on ABC’s “American Idol” and was the first ever contestant to receive a Platinum Ticket (awarded to the top contestant in each of the 3 cities where  American Idol  held auditions).  Jay appeared in over 20 episodes and finished Top 7. Olivia “Melio J.” Jackson  (Ensemble) was born in Columbus, Mississippi in 1996. She grew up the middle child, raised by her amazing mother with a strong foundation rooted in their love for God. Olivia or “O.J” as some friends call her, has always been a performer since the day she was born. When her mom moved the family to Atlanta, GA in the early 2000’s is when she fell more in love with the arts and knew that she could truly thrive. Through hard work paired with her family’s support she has been able to make great accomplishments and she is now a professional dancer who graces stages across the world with amazing artists such as the iconic girl group Xscape, BBD, City Girls, Lecrae, and so many more. She’s an actress on the hit Starz Network series, “PValley” as “Toy”. She is now making her big Broadway debut!  @therealmelo.j  

Christina Jones  (Ensemble) will be making her Broadway Debut! Kareem Marsh  (Ensemble) is a Philadelphia native who began his vocal and dance training at the age of 13. He has trained at various institutions in the state of Pennsylvania, under the tutelage of arts cultivators such as Joan Myers Brown, Dara Meredith, Shawn-Lamere Williams and Lucinda McCann. Kareem began his professional career dancing and touring with international dance companies such as Eleone Dance Theater, Waheed Works, and Philadanco, The Philadelphia Dance Company. He has traveled and performed in over 13 countries including Canada, Australia, and New Zealand with Holland America Cruise Lines. In 2017 Kareem was featured in Dance Magazine highlighting his professional experience performing abroad. In 2021 he was also featured in the popular film adaptation of the musical  In The Heights  by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Kareem is also an esteemed arts educator within the tri-state area. Since 2012 he has taught within the Philadelphia and New Jersey Public school systems choreographing various musicals, and curating many programs for the empowerment of our youth. @Kareemdances

Rebecca Milzoff This is really the first major revival that’s happened of the show since the original production in the ’70s. I think of ‘The Wiz’ as a show that is so important to so many people coming up in musical theater. A lot of people get to do it in high school and college. And yet, this is really the first major remounting we’re seeing. What did it mean to all of you growing up as people in entertainment and the arts loving the movie?

Wayne Brady Loving the movies, having the movie being this inspirational and aspirational thing. We’re like, oh, people that look like me can do that thing. And I want to do that thing. And the songs are so amazing and you can get lost in it. And so I know for me, it was definitely one of the drivers that made me go, Oh, I think I can do this.

Deborah Cox It means everything to me to be in the show, really. And truly, I have never had the opportunity to play a real whimsical, fun, out-of-this-world type of character. And I love that I get to display that every night onstage.

Wayne Brady reveals primetime game show and reality TV series premiere dates

Wayne Brady is keeping himself busy, hosting a CBS daytime game show and appearing on stage in a musical.

He’s adding to the projects, as viewers will soon have several more places to see him in the coming months.

The 51-year-old actor, comedian, and show host will return for a fourth season of the primetime version of his popular game show, Let’s Make a Deal.

In addition, viewers will see Brady in a new family-based reality series, which features a different version of the “modern family.”

Recently, both programs received official premiere dates when viewers can start watching.

Wayne Brady to host Let’s Make a Deal Primetime Season 4

Many viewers watch Brady regularly as the host of CBS’ Let’s Make a Deal . The popular game show features costumed contestants getting to try their luck at various games and choose between mystery prizes to achieve big wins. Prizes include cash, cars, and dud gifts.

Brady will return as host of Let’s Make a Deal Primetime, which he’s hosted before. The game show shared an Instagram Story photo featuring Brady and a premiere date of August 7.

This will be the fourth season of the primetime version of the game show, which features a similar format to the daytime version. Brady’s co-stars, Jonathan Mangum and Tiffany Coyne, are expected to return to assist with the show.

The Let’s Make a Deal game show debuted on NBC in the 1960s before moving to ABC, where it stayed for eight years. NBC revived it several times over the years, including one in 1990.

NBC attempted a primetime version in 2003 but canceled it after three episodes due to dismal ratings.

Brady has hosted the CBS revival of Let’s Make a Deal since 2009. He’s received multiple Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Game Show Host and won the award in 2018.

In addition, Brady wrote the lyrics to 30,000 Reasons to Love Me for the game show, which won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Original Song in 2014.

Wayne Brady announces premiere date for his new family reality series

Wayne Brady: The Family Remix is Brady’s new family reality series set to premiere on Freeform in July.

The series co-stars his ex-wife, Mandie Taketa, their daughter, Maile Brady, and Mandie’s boyfriend, Jason Michael Fordham.

Last week, Brady announced the official premiere date for his new reality series in a video shared by Freeform’s Instagram page.

“Oh hey! I’m Wayne Brady, and my family and I, the Core Four, we have a brand new reality show on Freeform and Hulu called Wayne Brady: The Family Remix,” he shared.

He said he would pass the phone to someone he described as his “soulmate, best friend, and ride or die.”

“We’re divorced, so she never has to listen to me snore again,” he said, referring to ex-wife Mandie Taketa.

The various stars of the show kept joking about the person they would pass the phone to.

“I’m passing the phone to someone who thinks she’s too grown to call her dad when she’s out all night at some college party,” Brady said.

His daughter Maile appeared on camera next, saying, “I’m grown. Now I’m passing the phone to my funniest parent.”

It was a playful jab at her dad since the next person to appear on camera was Maile’s mother, who said she was passing the phone to someone with “secrets.”

Brady closed the video by sharing the premiere date and where to watch the show.

“And you get to see how it all plays out on July 24 on Freeform and Hulu the next day. Wayne Brady: The Family Remix, you’ve never seen a family like ours,” he revealed at the end of the clip.

A report via People shared additional details about the upcoming show.

Brady previously revealed that the project came about following the group’s quarantining together several years ago. He said they began to make TikTok videos, which seemed popular online, bringing the reality series to life so viewers could see more from their day-to-day lives.

Wayne Brady: The Family Remix premieres on Freeform on Wednesday, July 24 at 10/9c. Let’s Make a Deal Primetime Season 4 premieres Wednesday, August 7, on CBS.

Lately, Wayne Brady has been making his statement about his personal life and career. While he is best known for his role in the hit show Whose Line Is It Anyway ?  he has many other areas of fame. In like fashion, he has a long list of accomplishments during his 51 years of living. Notably, he was on Dancing With The Stars , The Masked Singer , and How I Met Your Mother . Since 2009, he has hosted the CBS renewal of Let's Make a Deal . Furthermore, he was nominated for multiple Daytime Emmys. Notably, receiving nominations for Outstanding Game Show Host which he won in 2018.

Overall he is a five-time Emmy winner, including writing the lyrics to “30,000 Reasons to Love Me” for the game show. In 2014, Wayne won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Original Song for those lyrics. Additionally, in his personal life, he boldly announced his pansexuality in August . With this, he is hoping to encourage others to be their true self.

Wayne Brady Announces Two Upcoming Premiere Dates

Although Wayne Brady’s past is already very impressive, he has many new ventures on the horizon. First, Wayne will return as host of Let's Make a Deal Primetime. Notably, this primetime version of the show is its fourth season and will debut on August 7. Furthermore, co-stars, Jonathan Mangum and Tiffany Coyne are expected to join Wayne back on the screen. But that isn’t the only iron Wayne has in the fire. Even before Let’s Make A Deal returns, Wayne is kickstarting a brand new series.

Planning to air July 24, Wayne Brady: The Family Remix is Wayne's new family reality TV series. Coming to Freeform and Hulu , the series promises good times with his ex-wife, Mandie Taketa, their daughter, Maile Brady, and Mandie's life partner, Jason Michael Fordham. Wayne is showing their family’s take on a modern family. He refers to his ex-wife as his "soulmate, best friend, and ride or die." However, Mandie is happy she doesn’t have to endure his snoring anymore . Admittedly, they have worked diligently to become the team they are today through lots of therapy. During the pandemic, they quarantined together in their modern mix. Now his mission is to be more open and tell others about his life behind the scenes.

Making A Difference

While Wayne Brady and his family are pulling back the curtain of their personal life, he is also playing an iconic Broadway role. In like fashion, Wayne Brady is taking the role of “The Wiz.” He tells People, “This show is a benchmark, and not just for me, but for a lot of Black performers.” Furthermore, Brady says, “That was the first time we saw such amazing singing and dancing on a screen from people who looked like us.” Undeniably, he is inspirational to others with his great career moves throughout his life.

Olivia Rodrigo Adds Asia and Australia Legs to Guts World Tour

Olivia Rodrigo will tour Asia and Australia for the first time in her career, the singer announced Wednesday. Rodrigo has added nine international dates to her massive “ Guts ” world tour for a total of 82 shows globally.

The new dates kick off Sept. 16 in Bangkok, Thailand and continue through Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Melbourne, and Sydney, wrapping up on Oct. 19 at Qudos Bank Arena. Additional dates may be added as Rodrigo wrote on social media, “Stay tuned, Manila!” Fans in the comment sections of her social posts are eager to hear when and if Rodrigo will also be adding Latin American dates to the trek but that has yet to be confirmed.

The “Guts” tour has since made stops in New York, Houston and Dublin, and will make its way towards London in the coming weeks. It will conclude on Oct. 18 in Sydney.

Tickets for the newly added Asia and Australia dates will be available starting with the American Express presale in select markets.

Rodrigo performed “Vampire” and “Get Him Back!” at MTV’s Video Music Awards on Tuesday night, following Lil Wayne as the second performer of the evening. It was her second-ever appearance at the show as Rodrigo made her VMAs debut in 2021 when she performed her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Good 4 U.”

“Guts” was released to high acclaim on Sept. 8 via Geffen Records and was preceded by two top 10 singles, “Vampire” and “Bad Idea Right?” “Vampire” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Rodrigo the youngest artist to debut three No. 1 hits on the chart behind “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U.”

In an interview with Capital FM in England , Rodrigo said she wrote much of the songs on “Guts” with the concept of an accompanying tour “in mind.”

“I think there’s a lot of fun songs,” she said. “I wrote the album with a tour in mind, so I think they’re all songs I wanted people to be able to scream in a crowd. Hopefully, that’s what’s achieved.” A similar teaser — in the form of a faux ticket advertising “Olivia Rodrigo: Guts The World Tour” — appeared in a lyric video for “Making the Bed,” the sixth track off “Guts.”

Rodrigo last toured North America and Europe in support of her debut album “Sour” in 2022. It started on April 5 in Portland and ended on July 7 in London. Gracie Abrams, Holly Humberstone, Chappell Roan and Baby Queen served as opening acts.

But back to the Real Housewives : New seasons of the franchise’s shows set in Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Miami, New York City, Orange County, Potomac and Salt Lake City will premiere in the 2024-25 season (dates have yet to be announced). Bravo’s sole new series is called Making It in Manhattan , about a group of friends — some from well-known families, others looking to make their own names — in New York. It’s also developing a show with the working title On Safari , a Below Deck -ish concept following the guides who work for a luxury tour company in South Africa. Chrissy Teigen is among the executive producers of the latter project.

E!’s currently untitled series about the Broadus family is a three-part documentary following Cori Broadus and her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, as they approach their wedding. Cori’s dad, Snoop Dogg, is an executive producer. E! will also air the second season of House of Villains in 2024-25.

USA has set a summer premiere for The Anonymous , a competition series from The Traitors producer Studio Lambert that combines face-to-face game play and an online component where players remain — wait for it — anonymous. The network has also set a Sept. 13 date for its premiere of WWE Smackdown , which is moving from Fox.

Syfy’s new scripted series is called Revival and is set in rural Wisconsin, where a town’s recently deceased return to life just as they were before dying. A local police officer is thrown into a murder mystery where everyone, alive and undead, could be a suspect. Also at Syfy, season two of The Ark is on tap for summer, and the third season of Surreal Estate is set for 2025.
