a racing tour and don't be prepared for unexpected events

I would like to start by saying that I gave this rating because, having already been to the Blue Mountains 5 years ago with another tour operator, I was able to compare them. this time back in Australia, no longer alone but with my partner I absolutely wanted to show her the Blue Mountains before leaving, because they are beautiful and would have been the icing on the cake of 20 days around Australia. Unfortunately, however, this tour was not up to par and I will now explain why. the tour departed regularly from the pick-up point and headed to the zoo, from there we went straight to the Scenic World (and there the big problem arose which I don't think is acceptable), arriving there at the cable car entrance, yes. I could see absolutely nothing because of how much fog there was, absolutely nothing, so much so that even my girlfriend asked me if she had to go (paying $54 each for a ticket which isn't included, but it's written down so it's fine) on the problem is that the tour operator didn't warn us of anything and made us all get on, and obviously it was a complete waste of time and money wasted. everything in a hurry, skipping part of the walking route and in just 45 minutes from when we got off the bus, we were already back, without having seen absolutely anything. after which we went to eat nearby. and I ask myself, given the situation, why not bring forward lunch (it was 11.30 when we were on the cable car) and go to Scenic World afterwards, so much so that in fact the sky opened up a bit, and I would have appreciated at least the attempt to save what can be saved. But it doesn't end here, once we reach the part of the journey (which is the most beautiful part of the Blue Mountain) we would like to point out that there are three choices of route, long, medium and short based on the body type and many of us go for the long one with him as a guide, fortunately there were some beautiful panoramic points although the fog was still a bit present, so I was happy again especially for my partner when I discovered that the route he had chosen was only half of the entire route ( which I did 5 years ago), 20 minutes in total instead of 40, skipping the beautiful panoramic points under the waterfalls, so many that there were other tour operators with the people who went there. We continued with the tour and concluded with a beautiful viewing and photography spot James Caves. Another negative note was certainly the slang of the tour operator who, although he is Australian and therefore speaks "English", was not suitable for an international audience as he spoke too fast and with purely local terms, never managing to understand a speech (and having traveled the world several times doing many international tours it was one of the first times). I'm sorry but I don't consider the decision to go to Scenic World in those conditions without thinking about a change of plan, spending $54 per person, plus the half-done journey and the impossibility of understanding the language of the tour operators

My mates and I booked this trip and we all said its the best thing we've done together so far, the views were incredible once the rain and clouds took off and some of the spots are beautiful, the cable cars are a thrilling experience, sitting at the front of the vertical train was amazing and got the heart going big time, lez is tour tour guide and he is the nicest funniest down to earth guy you'll ever meet, apitimised the values and the character of a true Australian and made the day 10x better, we even got a photo with him to round it off!

The good. Our driver picked us up on time, great communication on where to go and when. The start of the Trip, Les was knowledgeable about the area and quite entertaining. The Zoo was lovely, quiet as we got there before other visitors, the animal enclosures were open and pleasant. I loved seeing the giraffes, Zebras an other animals hanging out together. The blue mountains themselves are stunning. The Bad. By hour 5 I was starting to get sick of Les's constant talking. Especially when he strayed into personal opinions. It's not the place to express your views about pronouns. You don't know who is on the bus. Steer clear or talking about things like that, especially when your view shows ignorance. Likewise with comments about "There was no invasion" sure most of the people on the bus were from overseas. (We werent) but Les's comments again were inaccurate and offensive. Oh, and the word 'Aborigines'is no longer used, and he kept saying it. Please use Indigenous or first nations people. And do some research in that area too. I would have loved to hear stories of the area from a first nations perspective. Not just the white man's. Les is clearly a passionate knowledgeable man , he just need to update some of that knowledge. The ugly. (OK the annoying ) Be aware that you are paying for a bus ride. All visits were at an additional cost and The driver pays for the tickets in bulk. There was a problem on our tour with some passengers who had thought to get vouchers for the places but Les didn't check and those folks had to pay twice. All up we paid $175 extra for the entry fees. I thought the scenic world rides were a bit expensive. You might not want to do this tour if you are scared of heights. We enjoyed our day anyway but watch out for the small print.

I went on the Blue Mountains tour with Oz Trails. The minibus was comfortable and the driver was polite. However, I was the only person in the group who didn't speak English well, I speak Portuguese and limited understanding of English. During the journey, the guide gave many explanations in English and I, Brazilian, always turned to my American colleague to find out what instructions were given. At the stop to see the waterfalls, I got off the bus and started following a group, then I realized that another group was following the guide to see the waterfalls, I had to run to keep up with the group. We visited the first waterfall and the group followed the trail with the guide along the way. I didn't notice the moment they left, I stayed behind and had to return to the bus without going all the way. In short, I did not expect a translation into Portuguese, but I was disappointed that the guide, knowing my difficulty with the English language, did not give me the attention to explain what was necessary to avoid any misunderstandings. Furthermore, I didn't see the famous Katoomba waterfall

From our pick up near Circular Quay to our drop off for the ferry at the Olympic Park, we had a wonderful day with tour guide Les. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Everything flowed seamlessly from our first stop at Sydney Zoo for an encounter with a koala, to Scenic World and lunch, and later stops at viewpoints. My friend and I particularly enjoyed the walk through the rainforest, where Les showed us so many interesting plants and birds. His knowledge and enthusiasm was outstanding. A huge thank you for a very memorable day. His lunch recommendation was excellent too.

Unbelievable! Wish I could give 10 stars. Our guide/driver, Les, so knowledgeable. Doubt anything he doesn’t know about the area. It was a long day, quite a bit of walking, but so much to see. He was right on time picking us up and we came back on a ferry from Palamatta.
