Discover the magic of active travel on an e-bike tour. On our pedal-assist electric bike , never worry about going the distance. Are you a relaxed rider traveling with an avid cyclist? A grandparent keeping up with sprightly grandkids? We call our e-bike “the Equalizer,” because our e-bike tours use technology to eliminate the challenge of mismatched fitness levels. Great Tours for eBikes
Class 1 eBikes are welcomed on most of our fully supported and inn-to-inn tours. Class 1 eBikes are pedal assisted to a max of 20 mph and do not have a throttle. Class 2 or Class 3 eBikes are not allowed on any of our tours. We don’t support any type of eBike on our van-supported, educational, or self-contained tours due to the lack of overnight charging stations, mechanical assistance, and/or SAG vehicles on the road.
Tours that welcome eBikes will be marked with this icon:
Some inn-to-inn and fully supported tours do not support eBikes due to restrictions on our route or shuttles which limit their use. Additionally, various local, state, and federal regulations prohibit eBike usage on some roads and trails that these tours use.
Some tours allow, but require special permitting for eBikes. Obtaining necessary eBike permits is the tour participant’s responsibility. Please check state and federal websites for up-to-date information about restrictions for e-bikes for specific jurisdictions.
Because every rider, eBike, road condition, and elevation profile is different, it is ultimately up to the participant to judge best whether their battery will last through each tour day. We recommend using pedal assist in its lowest setting or off when not needed to maximize battery range. Bringing a second battery is also recommended. They can be carried by staff on our fully supported events, but will need to be carried by the participant on our inn-to-inn trips.

E-Bike Tours
Electric pedal assist biking tours.
At Escape Adventures, we are always on the cutting edge of tour innovation. The quality and technological advances of electric bicycles this past year has changed the way we think about our tours, locations we go, and routes we take.
The bikes of tomorrow are here today.
What does this mean? It simply means you can now take a vacation and not worry as much about the physical part and instead go faster and farther, while still enjoying the exercise, scenery, and fresh air.
Our E-bike (both road and mountain bike options) vacations are created specifically for both first-time cyclists and experienced bike enthusiasts who want to bring their partners who don’t bike nearly as much. E-bikes can work as a standard bicycle or electric bicycle. Each trip is supported and designed by our professional and attentive guides who are avid cyclists themselves. Every Escape Adventure is slightly different than the next, perfectly tuned into what each destination has to offer. Feel what it’s like to tour the world's most beautiful places with your own mechanics, personal chefs, and local cultural experts.

Electric Bike Tours in USA & Canada
Electric bikes (or e-bikes, hybrid bikes) are designed to make cycling easier.
The pedalling ‘boost’ provided by an e-bike opens up more options, allowing people of different fitness levels to cycle together or to allow less confident or fit cyclists to take on greater distances or routes that they may otherwise consider too tough for their current capability.
Being battery powered, there is absolutely no motor noise, and a nightly top-up using just the power outlet at your hotel will have you fully charged for the next stage.
Electric bikes are becoming very common in Europe and many of our cycling trips in the USA and Canada now have an electric bike option.
An e-bike is the ideal way for newcomers to cycling trips to enjoy the benefits of a handlebar based holiday. With an e-bike, it is possible.

Discovery & Cruising
These are our least demanding trips. These journeys of discovery and cruises involve little or no extended activity and are suitable for people with a basic level of fitness and good health. The itinerary may take place in remote areas (with basic facilities) and may involve long travel days on various types of transport. Sightseeing may be conducted on foot and all participants should be capable of carrying their own luggage from vehicle to hotel rooms. These adventures rarely involve camping.
Adventure Touring
These adventure tours may visit remote areas where facilities are often basic. Some of these trips involve camping or basic lodging. These adventure tours will sometimes involve long journeys and rough roads. Sightseeing and optional day walks are often included and these days may involve up to 5 hours of physical activity.
These trips involve trekking or walking, cycling, or paddling for up to five or six hours a day at a slow but steady pace and should never be misinterpreted to mean they are easy trips. Hikes are mainly on well-defined trails with undulating terrain and cycling is on mostly flat surfaces.
These trips involve a combination of what is described in our Introductory and Moderate levels. The emphasis is on introductory activity with some moderate components. Hiking trips typically require carrying a daypack only, but could involve carrying a pack of up to 20 pounds (9kg), depending on personal gear.
These adventures involve trekking, cycling, or paddling for up to 6 or 7 hours a day at a steady pace. Many moderately graded hiking trips involve the carrying of a daypack only, though some may involve carrying a backpack of up to 30 pounds (14kg), depending on personal gear. Hikers should be prepared for plenty of roots, rocks, significant elevation gain, wilderness camping, and potential variable weather conditions. Cyclists should be prepared for undulating terrain and some steep hills.
Moderate to Challenging
These trips involve a combination of what is described in our Moderate and Challenging levels. The emphasis is on moderate activity with some challenging components. Hikers should be prepared for very rugged off-trail hiking, significant elevation gain, wilderness camping, and to carry a pack weighing up 45 pounds (20kg), depending on personal gear.
Challenging
These adventures involve trekking, cycling or paddling in remote areas in variable weather conditions for up to 8 to 10 hours a day (possibly more subject to weather conditions and altitude). Hikers should be prepared for very rugged off-trail hiking, significant elevation gain, wilderness camping, and to carry a pack weighing up to 45 pounds (20kg), depending on personal gear.
These journeys of discovery and cruises are suitable for people with a basic level of fitness and good health.
Suggested preparation: Once or twice a week, we recommend you walk on undulating terrain for an hour, for at least 2-3 months prior to departure.
To enjoy these adventures, we suggest you are reasonably fit, healthy, have a moderately active lifestyle and have a positive attitude.
Suggested preparation: Two or three times a week, we recommend you walk on undulating terrain for an hour or more, for at least 3 months prior to departure.
Our introductory trips are not ‘easy’ trips and you will need a reasonable level of fitness and good health.
Suggested preparation: 30 minutes of aerobic exercise (either cycling or jogging) three times a week for 3 months leading up to your trip.
On these adventures you will need a good level of fitness and be in good health.
Suggested preparation: We recommend 45 minutes of aerobic exercise three times a week from a minimum of 3 months leading up to your trip. This can include swimming, jogging, hard walking or cycling. For hiking trips, hill or stair walking with a 15lb daypack is highly recommended at least once per week.
These adventures require a good level of fitness and be in good health.
Suggested preparation: 1 hour of aerobic exercise, three to four times a week and extended periods of exercise during the weekend. This can include swimming, jogging, hard walking or cycling. For hiking trips, hill or stair walking with a full day pack is strongly recommended at least once per week (or a 30lb pack for backpacking trips).
These trips require an excellent level of fitness and be in good health.
Suggested preparation: 1 hour of aerobic exercise, four to five times per week for three to six months leading up to departure. Hill walking with a full pack in variable weather conditions or on/off road cycling is essential.

I am Gregory Maassen, a Dutch-American cyclist living in Washington, DC. Linkedin .
I e-biked solo and unsupported across the united states from washington, dc to san francisco, a 4,600+ mile journey to raise awareness and support for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy. thank you for joining me on this historic journey., the e-bike tour started on april 2 and was completed four months later on august 2, 2022, gregory followed the historic lincoln highway and a new transcontinental cycling route designed for this project, in the footsteps of a young president eisenhower as he traveled in 1919 as part of a military convoy, inspiring his creation of the interstate highway system in 1956. they drove at a speed of 6 miles per hour . gregory (age 54) hopes to bike at an average speed of 12 mph . the route is 3,400+ miles. with detours, gregory has cycled 4,685.8 miles. he has arrived in san francisco free of injuries, accidents and incidents., in the news, as supreme commander, eisenhower oversaw the liberation of the netherlands during wwii, something the dutch will never forget. this ride is a tribute to the long-lasting dutch-american friendship. , did you know the united states' l ongest unbroken, peaceful relationship with any foreign country is with the netherlands.
"On the Dutch island of St. Eustatius in the Caribbean, the first foreign salute to the American flag took place on November 16, 1776; John Paul Jones was received as a hero in Amsterdam in 1779 when he landed with two captured British ships; and the Dutch Government entered into secret negotiations with the Continental Congress, starting in 1778, on the draft of a Treaty of Amity and Commerce.
But, most important, on April 19, 1782, John Adams was admitted by the States General of the Dutch Republic as Minister of the United States of America, thus obtaining the second diplomatic recognition of the United States as an independent nation. Adams also succeeded, on October 8, 1782, in signing the first Treaty of Amity and Commerce between the two countries. This recognition of the United States as an independent nation can be regarded as a key step in our country's efforts to take its rightful place in the world community of nations as a sovereign state."
In recognition of this long and fruitful relationship between our two countries and peoples, President Reagan designated April 19, 1982, as Dutch-American Friendship Day.

The Journey
E-biking across the us requires serious planning, organization.
The route is divided into 10 segments . Where possible, the route follows established cycling routes such as U.S. Bicycle Routes 44 and 50.
Many miles of the route are undocumented and require careful planning to charge the e-bike.
A cross-country trip requires months of training to avoid injuries.
It also takes time to learn how to handle equipment on a trip that is fully self-supported.
Fitting the bike and learning camping survival skills are essential steps in preparing for the tour.
It took over a year to prepare for the journey, especially since COVID-19 seriously has disrupted supply chains.
We waited ten months for the tour e-bike to arrive, not to mention all other equipment such as panniers and tents.

A debilitating disorder that deserves more funding
Peripheral neuropathy is not a single disease. It’s a general term for a series of disorders that result from damage to the body’s peripheral nervous system.
Some types of peripheral neuropathy develop suddenly, while others progress more slowly over many years.
Causes include diabetes, chemo treatment, COVID-19 , other viral infections, hereditary diseases, and idiopathic causes.

Click on the arrow to learn more about Peripheral Neuropathy symptoms
Peripheral Neuropathy symptoms usually start with numbness, prickling or tingling in the toes or fingers. It may spread up to the feet or hands and cause burning, freezing, throbbing and/or shooting pain that is often worse at night. The pain can be either constant or periodic, but usually the pain is felt equally on both sides of the body—in both hands or in both feet. Some types of peripheral neuropathy develop suddenly, while others progress more slowly over many years. The symptoms of peripheral neuropathy often include:
- A sensation of wearing an invisible “glove” or “sock”
- Burning sensation or freezing pain
- Sharp, jabbing, shooting, or electric-like pain
- Extreme sensitivity to touch
- Difficulty sleeping because of feet and leg pain
- Loss of balance and coordination
- Muscle weakness
- Muscle cramping/twitching
- Difficulty walking or moving the arms
- Unusual sweating
- Abnormalities in blood pressure or pulse
Symptoms such as experiencing weakness or not being able to hold something, not knowing where your feet are, and experiencing pain that feels as if it is stabbing or burning in your limbs, can be common signs and symptoms of peripheral neuropathy.
Peripheral neuropathy affects millions of Americans, but research is underfunded. We need to find a cure for all those who silently suffer from this debilitating disease.
And I know how hard it can be. I was inflicted with a post-infectious small fiber neuropathy in South Africa. E-biking helped me restore my strength and sanity.

The Best Bike Trips in the U.S. You Can Book Right Now
We found the safest bike tours along America’s most spectacular routes so you can check another ride off your bucket list!
Currently Covid cases are at an all-time high in the U.S. Before you book any trip, check for travel restrictions and mandates in states and counties you’ll pass through and understand they may still be in place when it’s time for your trip. If so, respect these restrictions and their communities by rescheduling for a safer time.
Riding your bike can be a fantastic escape from unprecedented stress—as many of us learned (or relearned) in 2020. And riding it someplace beyond your locals adds even more magic. But during a pandemic, everything from traveling to get someplace new to being part of a group is complicated. We debated skipping our annual travel awards, but ultimately decided to focus on stateside trips (potentially eliminating or reducing air travel) run by companies instituting rigorous safety protocols.
Our editors vetted hundreds of tour outfitters and analyzed their itineraries for things like average tour size, traveler reviews, value, and quality of the rental fleet. Each company we chose to feature established practices to combat COVID (everything from providing masks to testing staff regularly to sanitizing equipment), and many have eased their cancellation policies, decreased group sizes, and bolstered their self-guided and private trip options. Of course, it’s still up to you to travel responsibly: Ride within your limits to avoid taxing local health systems, check for travel restrictions in states and counties you’ll pass through, and if you’re sick, stay home. And if your personal situation, local conditions, or sense of caution keep you at home this year, we hope you use this list to shop for the trip you’ll do during a better time.

Breakfast spreads, picnic lunches, and sumptuous evening meals all lean into local providers (fresh-caught seafood, community-grown greens, and craft brews) and group bonding (tours are capped at eight travelers; 10 for private) is the goal. Days wind down with happy hours overlooking the coast ahead of comfortable overnights at the MacCallum House Inn.

The Best EBike Trails in the United States
Nothing beats the feeling of a day out exploring trails on your eBike. The speed and versatility of electric mountain bikes allow riders to safely navigate some of the most ruggedly beautiful natural areas in the United States.
The US has thousands of bike and backcountry trails that are open to eBikes. In addition, recent changes in legislation have opened up even more electric bike access to national parks and BLM land. Check out some of these EMTB riding tips for world-class eBike trails found across this beautiful nation.
Best Off-Road Trails for EBikes
There are countless trails and backcountry riding opportunities across the United States. Choose from desolate deserts, sandy beaches, lush forests, or open rocky mountains; the options are endless. QuietKat electric bikes can even handle snow. Here’s just a taste of the eBike trails that are worthy of a road trip.
Hell’s Revenge: Moab, Utah
Length: 6.8 miles
Type: Double Track
Difficulty : Intermediate
Moab has long been a mecca for mountain bikers, so it’s no surprise that the Hell’s Revenge Trail would also be top of our list for eBikers. Hell’s Revenge is a popular trail for bikes, ATVs and 4x4s, but it’s even more enjoyable on a class one electric bike. This Slickrock trail lies northeast of Moab between the Sand Flats Road and the river. Hell’s Revenge takes you through multiple rugged sandstone features with 1,081 ft of steep climbing and -1,230 ft of descent. Riders will enjoy spectacular views as they take in the beautiful vistas of the La Sal Mountains and Arches National Park.
Utah has some of the best national parks for eclectic bike riding. While you shouldn’t assume that all Moab trails allow electric bikes, several other highly recommended Moab trails are open to eBikers. These include Slickrock Trail, Poison Spider Mesa, Dead Horse State Park, White Rim Trail, Sovereign, and Fins & Things.
Hiawatha Trail: Shoshone County, Idaho
Length: 15 miles
Type: One-way bike path
Difficulty: Beginner
Idaho’s Hiawatha Tail is one of the most scenic stretches of railroad in the US. However, this trail offers something different from the off-road adventures on this list. Instead of tackling demanding terrain, you will follow an old railroad and go through ten train tunnels and seven trestles.
Both traditional cycles and class 1 eBikes are currently allowed on the Hiawatha Trail, which is open between May and September. You can start your ride at the East Portal Trailhead . Most riders go downhill and take a shuttle back up, but an eBike rider could tackle the uphill return using pedal assistance. This trail is an excellent choice for families or groups with varying levels of skill or fitness.
South Mountain Park and Preserve: Phoenix, Arizona
Length: 70 miles
Type: Varies
Difficulty: Varies
South Mountain Preserve is one of America’s largest urban parks at more than 16,000 acres. Giant saguaro cacti punctuate the beautiful desert landscape, which is home to several popular mountain bike trails. Trails that allow eBikes include the steep, technically challenging Holbert Trail , the moderate National Trail , which features a waterfall, or the mellow Desert Classic Trail , which is excellent for all skill levels.
Both class 1 and class 2 eclectic bikes are allowed in the park. Ebikers can ride on all 70 miles of trails in the park. However, riders should be aware and mindful that they will share these trails with traditional bikes, horses, and hikers.
Arizona has several other parks which allow eclectic bike access, and you can find other eBike trails in the Phoenix area. Nearby trails include White Tank Mountain Regional Park, Estrella Mountain Regional Park, and McDowell Mountain Regional Park.
Ocala National Forest: Orlando, Florida
Length: 200 miles of ATV/motorcycle trails.
Type: OHV Trails
Difficulty: Varies
The Ocala is one of Florida’s biggest tourist attractions, and with good reason. The beautiful National Forest has 600 lakes and rivers for recreational use. Although electric bikes aren’t allowed on the Ocala mountain bike trails, they are allowed on over 200 miles of ATV trails . Electric bikes can go anywhere that an ATV or 4x4 vehicle can go within Ocala National Forest.
The Longleaf OHV Trail is one of the many scenic routes open to eBikes within the Ocala North OHV Trail System. This 25-mile loop connects you to many other OHV trails, including Tobacco Patch, Hog Valley, and Pipeline OHV Trails, plus the Motorcycle and Delancy Loops .
Mammoth Mountain Bike Park: Mammoth Lakes, California
Length: 80+ miles
Mammoth is well known as a winter sports and ski destination, but there’s also plenty of fun to be had in the summer. The Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is excellent for experienced bikers and newbies alike. This is a great destination to hire an EMTB for a few hours if you’re just a beginner and want to try out electric mountain biking without buying an eBike.
Trails are well marked by skill level, with options for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders. Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is the premier bike park in the USA, with 80+ miles of singletrack and jumps, berms and drops for more advanced riders.
Many trails are freely accessible, including those that run between Mammoth Mountain and the Mammoth Lakes Village. However, if you want to head up the mountain, you’ll need to buy a pass if you need to access chairlifts, the Panorama Gondola, or the Bike Park Shuttle. Note that a bike park shuttle pass is often included with your electric cycle hire.
A dedicated bike park is a great way to learn about electric mountain biking. You can experience the thrill of eBikes in a beautiful setting - without worrying about sharing the trails with ATVs or hikers.
St Joe State Park: St. Francois County, Missouri
Length: 2,000 acres designated for off-road uses
Type: State Park
Difficulty: Varies
St Joe State Park in Missouri is a rare find for off-road enthusiasts. The park, known as the Old Lead Belt , is one of only two off-road vehicle designated areas in the state park system. This is a beautiful state park with great variety in terrain.
There are 2,000 acres set aside for off-road vehicle use, including mud, sandhills and flats, two lakes, and two swimming beaches. With a QuietKat eBike , you can easily tackle these changes in terrain and explore the best the park offers.
Poison Spider Mesa: Moab, Utah
Length: 17.49 miles
Type: Lollipop loop
Difficulty: Advanced
Poison Spider Mesa is another trail in Moab that offers striking views. This 4×4 double-track trail is challenging and not for the faint of heart. The terrain varies, with some sandy stretches of sandstone riding. Start the trail on Poison Spider Mesa Road and after 5.3 mi, make a right at the Golden Spike/Poison Spider Mesa intersections. Continue for 2.8 miles to reach the viewpoint, where striking vistas await.
Be careful not to detour onto the Portal Singletrack and Goldbar Rim Singletrack, as these are currently designated as non-motorized routes and not open to eBikes.
Rubicon Trail: Georgetown, California
Length: 22 miles
Type: Multi-use out and back
The renowned Rubicon Trail can be found in the High Sierras near the beautiful Lake Tahoe in Placer County. The eastern end of this challenging 4-wheel drive trail starts in Tahoma and covers 22 miles to Georgetown. The trail is not maintained, but your full-suspension eBike can handle that. To reach the eastern trailhead, leave Tahoe City and follow 89 south about nine miles. Turn into a residential area when you see signs for the McKinney-Rubicon Trail. The signposted entrance is half a mile into the residential area.
The Rubicon Trail is a challenging trail that’s considered the premiere OHV route in the United States. However, if you’re looking for something more manageable, then the wider Lake Tahoe area has many other beautiful vistas to explore on an eBike.
Imogene Pass: Ouray, Colorado
Length: 11.6 miles
Type: Singletrack, multi-use
If you’re not afraid of heights, then this is the trail for you. The high mountain Imogene Pas s trail is found in the San Juan Mountains in the southwest of Colorado. It’s the second-highest vehicular mountain crossing in the state. The trail starts just past the lower Camp Bird and is immediately challenging with granite slabs and large step-downs.
Imogene Pass is a challenging trail but one we’ve proven you can tackle in the QuietKat Jeep eBike .The road reaches incredible heights 13,117 feet above sea level. While riding, take in the unforgettable views of Bridal Veil and Ingram Falls, as well as the historic mining town of Tomboy.
This list offers just a taste of the adventures and trails available to you on an eBike. In addition, there are many lesser-known local gems you may be able to find in your local area.
It’s important to remember that not all bike paths and trails are open for electric bikes. Check out our guides to see regulations for eBike usage by state . Laws differ across states, cities, and counties. For national and state parks, be sure to do your research before heading out.
Access for eBikes on trails in national and state parks has been steadily expanding, so check regulations periodically to see if new trail options have opened up.

Some of the most beautiful landscapes and nature of the United States can easily be explored with the best electric bike for long-distance touring. These tours are long, but with your E-bike , the trip will be comfortable. No matter if you are going into the desert, the beach, the forest, the mountain, etc. all of these long-distance trails can easily be covered with the e-bike. The United States offers thousands of cycling routes that are suitable and easily accessible and can be visited with electric bicycles. All of the scenic and beautiful trails in the country are best to be explored with the long range electric bike . Here are the 5 best E-Bike trails you must know and explore with your E-bike: 1. Hell’s Revenge
Hell's Revenge is one of the most famous bike trails in America. It is located in Moab, Utah and it runs for 6.8 miles. The precise location is northeast of Moab, between the Sand Flats Road and the river. Many consider it is as the best option for mountain bikers, and that is why it comes high on the lists of the most chosen trailers for E-Bikers. What makes it stand out is that the E-bikers can go through multiple rugged sandstone features that come with 1081 Ft of steep climbing and -1230 Ft of descent. Additionally, the nature and the view are truly amazing. Going through the trail, the e-bikers are faced with absolutely marvelous views of the La Sai Mountains and the Arches National Park.
It is very well known that Utah has some of the best national parks in the entire USA. That puts it as a favorable choice for the e-bikers as well, since it offers trails through these national parks, perfectly suitable for riding.

2. Katy Trail
Katy Trail runs for 237 miles, across most of the state of Missouri. What makes it pretty extraordinary is that it is a part of the Missouri State Park, and almost half of the trail's length follows Lewis and Clark's path up the Missouri River. This scenic route offers an amazing experience and fabulous views. Just after the river. The trails continue to peaceful farmland and small-town Americana. The trail is pretty flat, and scenic, making it ideal for hiking, running and perfect for E-bikers. For a break, the trail offers wonderful restaurants and accommodation.
3. Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail
Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail is an exceptional choice for the hikers and E-bikers that would love to do some exploration and get a taste of Washington's diversity. The trail follows the corridor of the Milwaukee Road and the linear park runs from the west of North Bend to Columbia River and continues to the Idaho border. The trail shows and offers a lot of tunnels and trestles. The E-bikers are offered the unique experience of riding through a picturesque variety of ecosystems that make the experience even more unforgettable.
4. Mammoth Mountain Bike Park
With a length of more over than 80 miles, Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is located near the mammoth Lakes in California. This ideal place for winter sports and ski destinations is a very popular one during the summer season too. Especially for the E-bikers, this place offers so many opportunities for E-bikes pros and beginners. All of the trails are well marked by skill level. This means that there are just enough opportunities for beginners, intermediates, and advanced E-bikers. Moreover, this park is considered a premier bike park in the USA, mainly because of its length and the amenities it offers its riders. The best trails are the ones running between Mammoth Mountain and the Mammoth Lakes Villages, all freely accessible, with a beautiful setting for all those looking to take their E-bike for an exploration ride.
5. The Shining Sea Bikeway
The Shining Sea Bikeway is located in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The bike trail, in the length of around 11 miles, comes around the coast from Falmouth, MA to Woods Hole, MA, beyond North Falmouth, MA ending up the Vineyard Sound shoreline. These bike trails are suitable for any level of cyclists as well as the E-bikers too. The entire route is full of wonderful landscapes and scenery that make the ride even more enjoyable and memorable. The trail is pretty easy for riding, with just a few places with a slight slope.
Riding through a city is a thing that has become a lifestyle and necessary. However, planning a long-distance electric bike trip is something that is just exciting and that will move away from the everyday routine. The scenic parks and the bike trails they provide are an excellent option for all the e-bikers that want to do some exploring on their own, see nature, and experience biking on the most suitable and interesting bike trails around the USA. There is no better way to explore your E-bike than get into the groove or cycling on different terrain and all the properties that the trails offer.
Besides these 5 E-bike routes, the USA offers a lot of other routes that are ideal and suitable for E-bikers. Riding an E-bike on a special bike trail is an entirely new experience, worth trying.
