Quebec City & Montmorency Falls 1 Day Tour (admission ticket to Montmorency Falls and Cable Car included)

Quebec City and Montmorency Falls day trip from Montreal.  We will leave Montreal at 7:00 am. After around 3 hours, we will arrive at Montmorency Falls . At 83 meters high, it is the largest waterfall in the Province of Quebec. We will take a sightseeing cable car to the top of the Falls to admire the beauty and the magnificence of the St-Lawrence River and its surrounding areas. In the afternoon, we will have free time to visit the old Quebec City . As the only fortified city in North America, Quebec City has a history of more than 400 years. We will discover Quebec City from many different angles such as politics, military, history, heritage, architecture and so much more. In old Quebec City, we will explore the Petit Champlain , a neighborhood in Quebec City. In fact, it is the oldest district in North America with famous attractions such as Rue du Petit Champlain mural and Breakneck Stairs. Particularly, the  Cathedral-Basilica of Notre-Dame de Québec is known as the oldest church in the Americas. Its long history and close relation with New France make it one of the most important national historic sites for all of Canada. In addition, Château Frontenac was designed by American architect Bruce Price. It is constructed under the requirement of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company (CPR) and accounts for one of the series of castle-style hotel buildings and so much more to see. In the wintertime, we may stop at the village Valcartier where you can have some activities such as visiting the Ice Hotel and so on.  We will leave Quebec City at 5:00 pm and will arrive in Montreal around 8:30 pm.

Though price looks cheaper as one day trips from Montréal are under $20. Activities participation is optional, if you don't want to go museam or eat lunch, you can refuse. But they take only CASH in the bus for service charges, entry fees and buffet lunch. I have noticed they don't pass the group discount to customers. For example in Ottawa, they have taken $40 for two museams, whereas group ticket costs only $16. So organiser made money of $24 from each passenger. This is cheating... I hope r

Our bus tour Washington-Philadelphie-NY with Wonder Travel Montreal (28JUN - 1JUL 2019) was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE, PLEASE RUN AWAY! No AC in the bus, we suffered for 2 days in a row. WE did not see much as planned in the package. For example, in Philadelphia, we took a double decker bus early in the morning, then free time 40 min, and we were headed back to Montreal at 11am!!!! The stupid activities that you are forced to take are more expensive than other travel agencies, of roughly 5$ US..

Je déconseille fortement cette agence ce voyage, guide ne maîtrisant ni bien le français ni bien l’anglais. Bus très inconfortable, pas d’air pour un voyage de 3 jours à NYC Jour de l’an à partir de Montréal. Passagers à bord non civilisés, chauffeur très agressif. Planification de l’itinéraire médiocre, activités pas interessantes, ne vaut pas pour le prix payé. Problème et stress avant le voyage parce que l’agence donne des mauvaises informations aux guides et aux clients.

The WORST customer experience Ive ever had. They cancelled our 3-day tour to Toronto, and switched it for a 2-day tour, promising a refund for the third day. The tour guide made my daughter sign the receipt and she didnt gave her the money back. I didnt know that, since they promised to refund me on the credit card; when I came to the offices to ask about the refund, and the woman in the front desk definitely has not the slightest notion of customer service. They never refunded the money!

Je vous le déconseille, date 01/09/2018 au 02 septembre ( Toronto et Niagara) le bus numéro 52, sentait vraiment mauvais à cause de l’odeur du toilette, c’était un supportable j’avais la sensation de vomir 🤮 ainsi que le chauffeur est désagreable plus le guide parle que l’anglais.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time on our tour to Quebec City, Danny was excellent! It was great value for money, with a trip to Montmorency Falls and Old Quebec from Montréal. We had assigned seats on the bus and charging ports available. Danny was great at introducing each of the locations and coordinating everyone back on the bus. We had plenty of time to explore Old Quebec and try the local foods (approx. 5 hours). There was an option to take a cruise at an additional fee if you wanted. This trip is a long day, leaving Montréal at 7am and returning at 8pm. It would be helpful if the website provided a more detailed breakdown of the timing of each activity. Overall, everything ran on time and we had a wonderful day. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: If I had to use one word to describe this trip, it would be WONDERFUL. The trip was well organized and the time management was very good. We had enough time at the Falls and at Old Quebec. Our guide Angela was definitely the best. She was very knowledgeable. If you had any questions, she was able to answer. Fantastic experience: I just want to commend Yang (our tour guide) for our trip. I was very impressed with the way he transition when speaking between 3 languages (English, French and Mandarin, amazing!). He was born to this! He made the trip not boring even with the long 3 hour drive from Montreal to Quebec. His ways are funny and enjoyable, honest and nice to talk to. But still very much respectful of everybody. Kudos!!! Just a small suggestion to the company, it may be good to include some trivial talks during the drive showcasing some landmarks. But overall, great tour!!

Fantastic experience: I booked a 3-day tour from Montreal to Toronto and Niagara and I’d have to admit, it was amazing! The tour covered many famous attractions. The hotel was so comfortable and I had a really pleasant stay. Our tour leader, Luke, was there with us for the entire time. He managed a large group of people (around 55) really well! Fantastic experience: We took 2 days tour to Toronto and Niagara Falls and enjoyed it. Tour guide Jack was very nice and professional. Everything was well organized. We spent first day in Toronto, we had enough time to see the downtown of Toronto. We spent a night in Toronto and the hotel was nice and clean. Next day we went to Niagara falls, we took a tour which was great, then we were taken to buffet for lunch and came back to Montreal. It was a good experience. Fantastic experience: We did a 2 days trip to 1000 Island, Toronto and Niagara. It was a great experience with my family visiting from Australia. Eva, our tour guide, was very accommodating. She did make a confirmation call prior to the trip. She makes sure we get into the bus first as we have seniors in our group. Fantastic experience: A wonderful experience for our 2 days tour to Toronto & Niagara Falls. Luke (our tour guide) is very knowledgeable and organised in our itinerary. He’s able to speak 3 main languages, english/french/mandarin, which is astounding. He’s patient and ensure all the travellers are seated properly esp. in the restaurant where we stop for lunch. Fantastic experience: Yang is an exceptional tour guide who goes above and beyond to meet the needs of individual tour participants and ensure that the tour runs smoothly and on schedule. He is very knowledgeable about the history and importance of local sights, as well as practical matters like where to find a good lunch spot. He has a good sense of humor and makes sure participants are aware of the tour bus rules such as coming back to the bus timely. However he is flexible when needed such as when there are long lines at a rest stop, causing a participant to come back a few minutes late. The tour was packed with interesting sights at various locations in Quebec City. There was an option for a river cruise for a modest fee. The cruise was a bit too long for my taste at 1.5 hours but it was worth the cost. Meal prices and souvenirs onboard ship were reasonable. Yang made sure both cruise participants and non-participants were well taken care of and answered all questions thoroughly.

Time management, tour planning, hotel management and organising the whole tour was very much satisfying.... Fantastic experience: We had a guided tour to new york this weekend and If you are looking fo an honest and fair review you found the one. This trip was not perfect and this is exaclty what you should expect! It is almost a tour of 55 persons, so you should expect delays from the passengers , delays because of the huge traffic in new york and last minute changes to plan. None is the fault/responsibility of the guide or the agency but rather bad luck and lack of consideration of other passengers. We had a minor inconvenient with the driver but he made up for us at the end of the day by offering an extra time in the down town. If you are planning for a 1st time visit to new york , you certainly should consider this option: easy passage at the borders in/out ( in comparison to cars- getting into Canada took us 15 min vs a line of easily 300 cars !), you enjoy the views without the stress of driving and parking, their time frame makes the trip more structured and allows the perfect duration for every activity and the guide takes all the time to book activities and provides tickets! Jacque did a wonderful job and it is certainly not easy to accomdate all the passengers so bring in your open mind, good mood and comfortable pair of shoes!

Fantastic experience: I opted for a 3-day guided tour to Niagara Falls and Toronto through Wonder Travels Inc. It was a simply surreal experience. The itinerary was well thought of and our whole group was able to see all the sights comfortably. The experience was further enhanced because we had Mr. Jack as our tour guide. Fantastic experience: My mom and both of my sisters took the Quebec City/Montmorency Fall tour from Montreal. Had an Amazing time. Our tour guide Jacky was extremely helpful and answered all questions. He always has a smile, even with the difficult passengers. Mario is the best driver ever. It was a wonderful day. My favorite was going to the copper museum. I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone looking for a day getaway. Well worth the time and money spent.

Quebec nurses threaten to stop working overtime as talks for new contract roll on

A Quebec union representing 80,000 health-care workers dismissed the province’s latest contract offer Friday and called on its members to refuse to work overtime beginning Sept. 19.

Federation interprofessionnelle de la sante du Quebec, known as the FIQ, is the only major union without a contract after the large-scale labour conflict last year that closed hundreds of schools for weeks and delayed surgeries. A few days ago, the union marked 500 days without a collective agreement, which expired on March 31, 2023.

The FIQ represents most of the province’s nurses, and also respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists – technicians who operate blood pumps during cardiac surgery. The overtime threat risks causing major disruption across the health-care network, where employees are routinely asked to work overtime because of widespread labour shortages, particularly for nurses.

“With its stubbornness, the government is leaving us with no other option than to implement more drastic measures, such as completely stopping overtime,” Julie Bouchard, FIQ president, said in a statement.

“Health-care professionals, who have been sounding the alarm for months, will not be silenced by empty promises and manoeuvres disconnected from reality.”

The union says the government’s latest offer, made on Thursday, is nothing more than “smoke and mirrors.”

Negotiations are stuck around the government’s demand that nurses, on a voluntary basis, be free to move from one health-care facility to another to address needs in the system where they arise.

But the FIQ says the measure would disregard nurses’ expertise and treat them like interchangeable pawns. The union says the government’s latest proposal demands even more flexibility from its members on the issue of transfers.

Treasury Board president Sonia LeBel rejected the union’s interpretation of the government’s offer.

“It is false to say that the government wants to increase travel. It is irresponsible to scare the population, when our goal is to provide better care for them with better organization of work in hospitals,” LeBel wrote Friday on her X account. “And this, always with adequate training and on a voluntary basis.”

“We must continue to negotiate to reach an agreement,” LeBel added. “Our priority is the patient.”

Quebec’s order of nurses has expressed concern about the consequences of transferring nurses around the health-care system.

Luc Mathieu, president of the order, wrote on Facebook, “we must start from the premise that nurses are not interchangeable.”

Transfers could work under certain circumstances, he said, like when a nurse in a long-term care home moves to a long-term care unit of a health facility. But a nurse in a seniors home can’t be transferred to an intensive care unit, he said.
