While the ProbleMATTic World Tour is spread out over a two-year period, the first 101 shows are packed into an 11-month run, starting with a July 20 date in Bend, Ore. and ending June 6, 2024, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville — a North American sprint that also encompasses four Australia dates in January. That comes out to an average of a Rife comedy show every three days for nearly a year.

Following a three-month break, Rife will embark on the European leg of the tour starting with a Sept. 3 show at SEC Armadillo in Glasgow, U.K. followed by shows in Amsterdam, London, Paris and more before concluding the tour on Friday, Oct. 20 at Santeria Toscana 31 in Milan, Italy.

Coming soon to a theater near you: some of the funniest comedians working today. A number of major stars are heading on comedy tours this fall, including one who's doing so for the first time in years and another who's touring for the first time period. These are the comedy tours you won’t want to miss in the coming months.

Is 2023 the year of the Tuckeraissance? After appearing in his first movie in years (Ben Affleck's "Air"), Chris Tucker announced what Live Nation noted was the comic’s first major North American tour in over a decade. His "The Legend Tour" is heading to 30 cities this fall and recently kicked off in Charleston, South Carolina. "I started my career doing stand-up in comedy clubs and it's stand-up comedy that prepared me for all of my movie roles," Tucker said. "I'm looking forward to getting back to my roots." The tour will run through Jan. 12.

He's here, he's there, he's everywhere, including a theater near you this fall. Emmy-winning "Ted Lasso" star Brett Goldstein is embarking on his very first stand-up tour . The actor's "The Second Best Night of Your Life Tour" will be in Denver on Oct. 5 before moving to Boston, Minneapolis, and more cities into December. Place your bets on how many words he gets out before dropping his first F-bomb.

You're sure to have a good trip to see Eric André on tour this fall. The star of "The Eric Andre Show" is traveling the country on his "Eric André Explosion Tour," which recently kicked off in Los Angeles. He has a ton of upcoming dates scheduled, including in Kansas City, Chicago, Dallas, and Detroit. "Bring your ranch, your nightmares, and all your friends," the comedian said .

You can catch the popular British comedian Eddie Izzard on her " Remix Tour ," which has shows scheduled throughout the fall in the U.S. and heads to the U.K. in November. "I will be remixing the stand-up that I like the most from the first 35 years of my career," Izzard explained .

Make it a very Hubie Halloween season with Adam Sandler. The comedian recently announced a fall tour he’s calling the "I Missed You Tour," which will stop by 25 cities. "Let's have some fun," he posted on Instagram . He's kicking off the tour on Oct. 12 in Vancouver before heading to Seattle, Portland, Nampa, Spokane, and more locations around the country into December. Get ready for more than 20 crazy nights.

Sometimes two comedians are better than one, so Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan are heading on tour together. "Jim and I met doing 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' and have been talking about doing this for years," Seinfeld said . "We finally made the schedules work out." Gaffigan, meanwhile, joked he's "so excited to help out this unknown up and upcoming comedian who many may have never heard of." After November shows in San Francisco and Inglewood, the pair will also head to Chicago and St. Louis.

Speaking of comedy duos, you can't get much better than Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who announced their first-ever comedy tour together in February. Their "Restless Leg Tour" is continuing into the fall with shows scheduled for Cleveland, Denver, Austin, and more cities into December.

Have you seen Chelsea lately? If not, check out the schedule for her ongoing " Little Big Bitch Tour ," which has shows set throughout the fall in New York, California, and plenty of cities in between.

A certain tall child is also headed on tour this fall with some good friends. John Mulaney will be performing shows with his friend Pete Davidson, who has his own solo tour dates scheduled as well, in October and November. But for some shows, Mulaney’s “John & Pete” show will be “Jon & John,” as Mulaney has a few performances scheduled with former “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart in New York and California. How’s that for a deal: two Jo(h)ns for the price of one?

Announcing the 2022-2023 Comedy Season

“Weird Al” Yankovic

Brian Regan

The Black Version

RIOT! Funny Women Stand Up

The Club at Studio K Returns

with Downtown at the KC Cabaret and GIRL GOD

And as Previously Announced for Young Audiences The Ice Cream Truck is Broken! & Other Emotional Arias

(WASHINGTON)— The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announces its 2022–2023 comedy season featuring a range of the biggest names and up-and-coming talent as the Center continues to offer a platform for comedic artists representing diverse backgrounds the opportunity to share their unique and hilarious stories with the D.C. community.

“The hallmark of Comedy at the Kennedy Center has been to welcome the entire Washington community through our doors,” said Matthew Winer , Director of Special Programming and Comedy. “We partner with artists who reflect a wide breadth of perspectives, using stand-up, storytelling, improvisation, and music, to make light of how we bump into the world.  Comedy is a bridge to understanding some of the most critical conversations in society and we provide a forum for our community to engage with and reflect upon the triumphs and tragedies of our everyday lives.”

Beginning in September, Lebanese-American stand-up comic NEMR returns to the Center with his new show The Future is NOW! (September 17), and The Black Version (September 29–October 1), the improvised show featuring an all-Black cast described as a “Comedic A-Team” by Rolling Stone magazine, returns to the Kennedy Center and includes cast members who have made appearances on MAD TV, Saturday Night Live, The Boondocks , and Reno 911 .

The comedy series continues in October with a Concert Hall appearance by comedic author and master of satire, David Sedaris (October 14), followed by five-time Grammy Award ® –winning artist “Weird Al” Yankovic as he brings his non-parody material and somewhat more obscure pastiches and original songs that have largely escaped the pop culture radar but are adored by his long-time fans (October 19). Then, internationally-acclaimed writer, performer, and public speaker ALOK makes their Kennedy Center debut (October 28). As previously announced, The Improvised Shakespeare Company  will return to the Center to create a fully improvised masterpiece based on audience suggestions(December 6–8).

The New Year kicks off with Tom Papa , host of the daily Netflix radio show, What A Joke with Papa and Fortune , in the Eisenhower Theater (January 27); followed by the reopening of The Club at Studio K with a performance from GIRL GOD , a sketch comedy duo who are self-proclaimed “the most famous trans comedy duo of all time,” (February 11); and Downtown at the KC Cabaret , three nights of songs and cringe-worthy stories performed by artists from the New York and Los Angeles cabaret scenes (March 2–4). Artists to be announced at a later date.

After sold out performances in 2018, 2019, and 2022, RIOT! Funny Women Stand Up returns in March to celebrate women’s history month and female perspectives on our rapidly evolving culture (March 9).

In April, Brian Regan , “your favorite comedian’s favorite comedian” (Entertainment Weekly) will bring his sarcastic humor to audiences in the Concert Hall (April 7). And, the comedy season wraps up with The Ice Cream Truck is Broken! & Other Emotional Arias , a family-friendly event presented by Kennedy Center Artistic Advisor-at-Large Renée Fleming and Education Artist-in-Residence Mo Willems that will take place in the Eisenhower Theater (April 22-23).

The Kennedy Center continues to prioritize the health and safety of artists, staff, and patrons. Current protocols can be found here and will continue to be updated as they evolve.

The 2022–2023 Kennedy Center Comedy Season

Saturday, September 17, 2022

Terrace Theater

NEMR is a Lebanese/American Stand-Up Comedian who is credited with establishing and pioneering the stand-up comedy scene throughout the Middle East where he performs in English. He went on to break down barriers and unite people in a region where bombing on stage can have a completely different meaning. On the heels of his successful world tour  Love Isn’t the Answer , which ran for an astonishing two years, and following the premiere of his comedy special  No Bombing in Beirut , NEMR is back with a brand new show,  The Future is NOW!

The Black Version Thursday, September 29–Saturday, October 1, 2022

Family Theater

The completely improvised show and talented cast return to the Center with the groundbreaking show that begins with the director asking the audience to suggest a popular film title and then the cast, right there on the spot, improvises the “black version” of that film complete with its improvised soundtrack, dance numbers, DVD extras, audition reels, and much more.

David Sedaris Friday, October 14, 2022

Concert Hall

One of America’s pre-eminent humor writer, David Sedaris, returns to the Center with his observational humor. Sedaris is a master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers. Beloved for his personal essays and short stories, Sedaris is the author of Barrel Fever, Holidays on Ice, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls, and Calypso , which was a Washington Post “Best Book of the Year.” Each of these books was an immediate bestseller. There are over 16 million copies of his books in print and they have been translated into 32 languages.

“Weird Al” Yankovic Wednesday, October 19, 2022

“Weird Al” Yankovic brings his The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour. The tour marks Weird Al’s long-anticipated return to the concert stage after his hugely successful Strings Attached Tour in 2019 where he performed each night alongside a full symphony orchestra. The show will feature Yankovic’s non-parody material and like the last Vanity  Tour, he is leaving behind the high-octane theatrics that he’s known for and going bare-bones—no costumes, no props, no video screens…just Al and his band of almost four decades in smaller, more intimate venues, hanging out on stage, playing music.

ALOK Friday, October 28, 2022

Internationally acclaimed writer, performer, public speaker, and mixed-media artist bring their work exploring themes of trauma, belonging, and the human condition. They are the author of Femme in Public (2017), Beyond the Gender Binary (2020), and Your Wound/My Garden (2021). They are the creator of #DeGenderFashion: a movement to degender fashion and beauty industries and have been honored as one of HuffPo ’s Culture Shifters, NBC’s Pride 50, and Business Insider ’s Doers.

Improvised Shakespeare Company

Tuesday, December 6–Sunday, December 18, 2022

Theater Lab

Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written) The Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised masterpiece right before your very eyes, bringing you an evening of off-the-cuff comedy using the language and themes of William Shakespeare.

Tom Papa Friday, January 27, 2023

Eisenhower Theater

With more than 20 years as a stand-up comedian, Tom Papa is one of the top comedic voices in the country finding success as an author, in film, TV, radio, and podcasts, as well as on the live stage. Tom recently released his second book, You’re Doing Great!–And Other Reasons To Stay Alive , which was the follow-up to Your Dad Stole My Rake: And Other Family Dilemmas both released by St Martin’s Press, making “Summer Must Read” lists from Parade Magazine to The New York Post . Tom is also a contributing writer to the New Yorker Magazine . Tom has four hour-long stand-up specials, the latest Tom Papa: You’re Doing Great! was a wildly successful Netflix Original. His other critically-acclaimed specials include Human Mule, Freaked Out, and Tom Papa Live in New York City , two of which were directed by Rob Zombie.

Saturday, February 11, 2023

The Club at Studio K

GIRL GOD is a comedy and writing duo featuring April Clark and Grace Freud. Their live shows are surreal, interactive performances with jokes from their trans and queer perspective that are actually funny and not just looking for applause. With sold out shows in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles—not to mention sketches that have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times online—Girl God is the most popular trans comedy group performing today, if not ever.

Downtown at the KC Cabaret

Thursday, March 2–Saturday, March 4, 2023

The Club at Studio K Artists from New York and Los Angeles’ burgeoning cabaret scenes join together for what will be an emotionally transcendent weekend of music and comedy. Audiences will be entertained with intimate songs, cringe-worthy stories, and plenty of laughter and tears along the way. Hosted by Ari Shapiro and featuring Music Director, Henry Koperski.

Thursday, March 9, 2023

RIOT! Funny Women Stand Up , a special comedy event in celebration of Women’s History Month, returns with leading performers from the worlds of music and comedy as they come together to celebrate women in the arts through song and laughter. After sold out performances in 2018, 2019 and 2022, RIOT! has become a national platform for female artists to embrace creative risk and emphasize their perspective in our rapidly evolving culture. Previous performers at this event include Megan Stalter, Cristela Alonzo, Natasha Leggero, Phoebe Robinson, Amanda Seales, Bridget Everett, Sasheer Zamata, Margaret Cho, Catherine Cohen, Jen Kirkman, Dulce Sloan, Melissa Villaseñor, and Jamie Lee.

Friday, April 7, 2023

Brian Regan is one of the most respected comedians in the country with Vanity Fair calling Regan, “The funniest stand-up alive,” and Entertainment Weekly calling him, “Your favorite comedian’s favorite comedian.” Having built his 30-plus year career on the strength of his material alone, Regan’s non-stop theater tour continuously fills the most beautiful venues across North America, visiting close to 100 cities each year.

The Ice Cream Truck is Broken! & Other Emotional Arias, Eisenhower Theater

Saturday, April 22–Sunday, April 23, 2023

Collaboration with Washington National Opera and Renée Fleming VOICES

Exploring the range of human emotions through opera, The Ice Cream Truck is Broken! & Other Emotional Arias draws on the combined talents of inaugural Education Artist-in-Residence Mo Willems and Kennedy Center Artistic Advisor Renée Fleming, who join forces with the Cafritz Young Artists and WNO Orchestra to present a program of famous arias, with new lyrics commissioned by the Kennedy Center. These will be heard alongside the world premiere performance of a new WNO commission. Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 13 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally. As one of the most buzzed about comedians in the business, Rife has been selling-out comedy clubs and theaters across the country and is gearing up to embark on his biggest tour to-date with Live Nation, the Matt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour , kicking off on July 20th.

Rife brings forth his refreshingly genuine presence along with elevated material that is quick witted and vulnerable. From a small town near Columbus Ohio, Matt started performing at the age of fifteen then moved out to Los Angeles two years later where he began his career in Hollywood.

In addition to stand-up, he made his television debut on MTV's Wild 'N Out as the youngest cast member in history for four seasons before moving on to other MTV properties, such as hosting the reboot of TRL and appearing on The Challenge . Other credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine , Fresh Off The Boat , BET's North Of The 10 , and NBC's comedy competition show Bring The Funny .

In 2021, Rife self-produced and distributed through YouTube his first one-hour comedy special, " Only Fans ". This past April, the comedian bet on himself again and self-released his highly anticipated second stand-up special, " Matthew Steven Rife " on YouTube. The special was taped in Austin, TX and is dedicated to his biggest role model, his grandfather Steven who had recently passed. He'll be taping his third stand-up special this fall in Washington, DC.

Frickin hilarious.

Absolutely worth every penny can’t wait to see him again. He’s a gem and soon to be as well known as many comedy greats. A must see if he’s in town!

Great show.

Funny as always!!! Matt never disappoints! Even the 2 opening acts were really good!!

Amazing, funny, great live

Matt was amazing! Had new jokes and was laughing the whole time! Would love to see him again when he's in town

Matt Rife is as funny as a heart attack. His act is different and unique in that it’s all a story and about 5 jokes mixed in. He kills the mood in the room by making fun of a quadriplegic in the front row for about ten minutes. His other jokes are just not funny. I’m not offended or triggered by them or anything like that he’s just not funny at all. Two hours of listening to him make fun of people and it’s not even humorous or edgy like his much more talented contemporaries. At one point I looked around the venue and not one , of the 2000 people there, was even smiling. Waste of money. Just gay jokes, handicapped jokes.

I was worried that he wouldn’t be that funny but he was just as funny as when I saw bill burr live. Someone should tell him to shave that mustache tho, he looks like a 15yr old trying to grow facial hair lol

I peed my pants a little from laughing so hard.

I peed my pants a little from laughing so hard. Matt nails the jokes every time and he should not cave to the woke who want him to be PC. We need more Matt Rifes in this world so full of hate. Thanks for all the laughs, Matt! Maybe put some feminine pads out for us moms who forgot at your next show!

10/10. He’s hysterical. And the two men that opened for him were great too!

The show was great and the opening act was also good. My biggest disappointment was the seating arrangement. The seats were small and they were screwed together so they was no breathing room. Literally sitting on top of each other. There were people vaping and using their phones and it was very distracting.

Come back to Boston soon!!!!

Loved this show! Matt did not disappoint! He is hilarious and genuine, and you can tell he enjoys engaging with the audience. I can not wait for him to come back to Boston. People were warned before the show that if they were disruptive they would be asked to leave, no questions asked. There was a woman behind us who did just that and they immediately asked her to leave, which everyone in the vicinity very much appreciated. This was my first time at MGM Fenway. The venue is great. The seats that looked the best were the second-tier tables, but our floor seats in Section 109 were good, although a little tight together. The food and drink prices are on the high side. Canned water is $10.00. Eat and drink somewhere else before a show.

Instagram lied- Matt Rife isn’t funny

The venue was awesome. The opening acts were funnier than Matt Rife. Bought these tickets a year ago when I found Matt Rife online and thought he was funny. His set in boston felt too forced and performance like. Didn’t feel organic, he definitely tries to stay in the comfortable bounds of typical Gen Z PC nonsense, yet he preaches about how to bring real comedy back. His crowd work jokes just didn’t land. Think he got too big too quick before mastering his art. Wanted to leave early despite paying $300 for tickets.

For the first time Rosatom Fuel Division supplied fresh nuclear fuel to the world’s only floating nuclear cogeneration plant in the Arctic

The fuel was supplied to the northernmost town of Russia along the Northern Sea Route.

world comedy tour 2023

The first in the history of the power plant refueling, that is, the replacement of spent nuclear fuel with fresh one, is planned to begin before 2024. The manufacturer of nuclear fuel for all Russian nuclear icebreakers, as well as the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, is Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC), a company of Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL that is based in Elektrostal, Moscow Region.

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactors of the icebreaking type. Unlike convenient ground-based large reactors (that require partial replacement of fuel rods once every 12-18 months), in the case of these reactors, the refueling takes place once every few years and includes unloading of the entire reactor core and loading of fresh fuel into the reactor.

The cores of KLT-40 reactors of the Akademik Lomonosov floating power unit have a number of advantages compared to the reference ones: a cassette core was used for the first time in the history of the unit, which made it possible to increase the fuel energy resource to 3-3.5 years between refuelings, and also reduce the fuel component of the electricity cost by one and a half times. The FNPP operating experience formed the basis for the designs of reactors for nuclear icebreakers of the newest series 22220. Three such icebreakers have been launched by now.

For the first time the power units of the Akademik Lomonosov floating nuclear power plant were connected to the grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020. The supply of nuclear fuel from Elektrostal to Pevek and its loading into the second reactor is planned for 2024. The total power of the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, supplied to the coastal grid of Pevek without thermal energy consumption on shore, is about 76 MW, being about 44 MW in the maximum thermal power supply mode. The FNPP generated 194 million kWh according to the results of 2023. The population of Pevek is just a little more than 4 thousand, while the FNPP has a potential for supplying electricity to a city with a population of up to 100 thousand people. After the FNPP commissioning two goals were achieved. These include first of all the replacement of the retiring capacities of the Bilibino NPP, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya TPP, which has already been operating for more than 70 years. Secondly, energy is supplied to the main mining companies in western Chukotka in the Chaun-Bilibino energy hub a large ore and metal cluster, including gold mining companies and projects related to the development of the Baimsk ore zone. In September 2023, a 110 kilovolt power transmission line with a length of 490 kilometers was put into operation, connecting the towns of Pevek and Bilibino. The line increased the reliability of energy supply from the FNPP to both Bilibino consumers and mining companies, the largest of which is the Baimsky GOK. The comprehensive development of the Russian Arctic is a national strategic priority. To increase the NSR traffic is of paramount importance for accomplishment of the tasks set in the field of cargo shipping. This logistics corridor is being developed due regular freight voyages, construction of new nuclear-powered icebreakers and modernization of the relevant infrastructure. Rosatom companies are actively involved in this work. Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL (Rosatom Fuel Division) includes companies fabricating nuclear fuel, converting and enriching uranium, manufacturing gas centrifuges, conducting researches and producing designs. As the only nuclear fuel supplier to Russian NPPs, TVEL supplies fuel for a total of 75 power reactors in 15 countries, for research reactors in nine countries, as well as for propulsion reactors of the Russian nuclear fleet. Every sixth power reactor in the world runs on TVEL fuel. Rosatom Fuel Division is the world’s largest producer of enriched uranium and the leader on the global stable isotope market. The Fuel Division is actively developing new businesses in chemistry, metallurgy, energy storage technologies, 3D printing, digital products, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. TVEL also includes Rosatom integrators for additive technologies and electricity storage systems. Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company is part of Rosatom Electric Power Division and one of the largest companies in the industry acting as an operator of nuclear power plants. It includes, as its branches, 11 operating NPPs, including the FNPP, the Scientific and Technical Center for Emergency Operations at NPPs, Design and Engineering as well as Technological companies. In total, 37 power units with a total installed capacity of over 29.5 GW are in operation at 11 nuclear power plants in Russia. Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC, Elektrostal) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fuel for nuclear power plants. The company produces fuel assemblies for VVER-440, VVER-1000, RBMK-1000, BN-600,800, VK-50, EGP-6; powders and fuel pellets intended for supply to foreign customers. It also produces nuclear fuel for research reactors. The plant belongs to the TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom.
