• Assist in coordination of all required actions to support the successful deployment, operation, and management of Defense Travel System (DTS).
• Serve as on-site help desk technician, answering travel-related issues such as accuracy of travel data tables and certifications and sustainment training requirements.
• Assist travelers with training requirements and applying for/maintaining their government travel cards.
• Correct problems on the spot or through coordination with the Accounting Section of the Resource Management Branch and the Defense Travel Management Office Travel Assistance Center (DTMO TAC)
• Acquire and update personnel data that will be used to establish traveler profiles in DTS.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is eligible for situational telework.
• This position requires the incumbent obtain a Financial Management Level 1 Certification within their first two years of employment.
• Due to the nature of this position, employees may be required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
