The crowd, already cheering, goes wild as her voice washes over them, setting the scene for a crazy night of dancing, fist pumping, and singing along with this English pop-star. Samantha Fox has had a diverse career: as well as being a pop and dance singer and songwriter, she was an actress and glamour model. She kicked off her music career with “Touch Me” in 1986, and that song made Top 10 both in the US and the UK. Her second single, “Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)” also received international fame. Since then she has met with huge global success, selling over 30 million albums. Her first album, Touch Me, was released in 1986, followed in 1987 with Samantha Fox and 1988 with I Wanna Have Some Fun. Between 1991 and 2009 she released six other albums, each just as good as the last. Samantha Fox puts on a good show, whether indoor or outdoor, to a large or small audience. Her infectious enthusiasm and love for her job are clear, and only make the audience love her more.

Samantha Karen Fox is a former English model and dance-pop singer.

In the mid-1980s, Fox began a successful musical career, releasing three albums in 3 years, working with the establishment of British music producers like S. A. Waterman and Full Force.

She recorded her debut single Touch Me (I Want Your Body) in March 1986 (at less than 20 years old), which charted high on both sides of the ocean (#3 in the UK; #4 in the US)

Carier start Samantha Fox is a world famous British singer, songwriter, actress and model. Music has been Samantha's true love since childhood. At the age of 15, the girl had already signed a contract to record her first songs, but for some time the music was pushed aside. The reason for this was the modeling career in which Samantha successfully and rapidly developed. For four years of work in the modeling field, the name of Samantha Fox managed to thunder throughout the UK.

 At the age of 20, the girl pushed the world of fashion into the background and concentrated on music. In 1986, Samantha's first single, "Touch me", was released. The single reached number 3 in the UK and number 4 in the US, and was certified platinum, silver and gold. The next song "Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)" took the 10th line. The album "Touch Me", as well as three other records, took first place in the national charts in 15 countries, and hit the TOP-5 in numerous countries, including the United States. Over 30 million copies of Samantha Fox's albums have been sold worldwide!

In the 80s, Samantha was one of the most beloved stars of the paparazzi along with Princess Diana and Margaret Thatcher. There is hardly another UK show business figure since The Beatles who has managed to gain such enormous popularity around the world and has been loved by millions of people of different ages, cultures and religions.

Samantha has toured all over the world. After a series of concerts, not finding time to take a breath, the girl went to another continent to please fans of her work. Gathering stadiums of 30,000 people in Canada, the USA, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore and Korea, Samantha Fox set new records!

In South America, the singer's albums were sold out in numerous copies, and the tour, sponsored by Pepsi, attracted at least 20,000 spectators. In just one year, Samantha Fox performed in front of a million of her fans! The next year, the singer spent in New York, worked as a VJ for MTV, played in a sitcom and recorded new material with leading US producers.

The next destinations were Bosnia, Russia and Ukraine, as well as India, where Samantha performed to an audience of 70 thousand people for 3 consecutive nights, breaking the record of Bruce Springsteen. An amazing feature of Samantha Fox has always been a focus on the world stage and on fans of creativity from completely different countries!

Film and television Samantha has also starred in three films: It Was Real with John Altman, The Match, starring Max Beasley and Isla Blair, and Rock Dancer, directed by V. Menon. Samantha has also appeared on many TV shows, including the British versions of The Last Hero and The Dinner Party. The singer has recently begun writing her autobiography. 

Currently, Samantha Fox continues to perform with her team around the world and is actively involved in the creation of new material. The official video for the cover of "Call Me" by Samantha Fox and Sabrina Salerno has over 2.5 million views on YouTube.

And the video with the performance of the singer in St. Petersburg gained more than 4.5 million views. One of the new works was the popular composition "Forever", recorded with 4 Strings. Samantha is currently finishing her 10th studio album with producer Ian Masterson.

Madonna sued by fans again after starting concert late

Madonna's fans have had enough of her late concert starts.

A group of fans who attended the pop star's Washington, D.C., concert on April 18 and 19 sued Madonna for "wanton exercise in false advertising, intentional and negligent misrepresentation and unfair and deceptive trade practices," according to the complaint obtained by FOX Business.

"Madonna and Live Nation have publicly stated that it is not reasonable for consumers to believe that the 8:30 start time on the ticket indicates that’s when the concert will begin and that no concerts start on the start time as advertised," the court documents read.

Fox News Digital has reached out to a representative for Madonna.

This isn't Madonna's first lawsuit from fans. She was previously sued in New York by Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden for "unconscionable, unfair, and/or deceptive trade practices" after starting her "Celebration Tour" Brooklyn stop late.

Madonna's concert was advertised as beginning at 8:30 p.m., but the "Material Girl" singer did not make it to the stage until 10:30 p.m. on all three nights at the Barclays Center, according to the court docs.

"Madonna had demonstrated flippant difficulty in ensuring a timely or complete performance, and Defendants were aware that any statement as to a start time for a show constituted, at best, optimistic speculation," the lawsuit alleged.

Madonna's legal team has since filed a motion to dismiss the class action suit.

Madonna is notoriously late for her concerts and was sued in 2019 for pushing back a Madame X tour stop in Miami. A fan attempted to get a refund after the concert had been rescheduled from the original start time of 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., NBC reported.

Ticketholders had to work and go to school the next day, which prevented them from attending a concert that would end at around 1:00 a.m.," the suit claimed, according to the outlet. "(Nate) Hollander attempted, without success, to obtain a refund for the three tickets purchased for the Madonna concert."

Madonna also took the stage late on the opening night of the Celebration Tour in the U.S., December 13. A source familiar with the matter told FOX Business that Madonna had been about an hour late for the concert in Brooklyn. The pop star sound-checked nearly until the doors opened at 7:30 p.m., the insider said.

At one point during the concert, Madonna asked the crowd whether they could hear her, because she was hearing an echo in her earpiece, the source explained.

Madonna's Celebration Tour, which also marked her 40-year anniversary in the entertainment industry, was postponed in July 2023 after the star suffered a "serious bacterial infection" that required an ICU stay in June.

She eventually took the stage in December following her recovery.

Madonna recently spoke with W Magazine about life on tour with her kids, saying, "nothing brings me more happiness than to know we are all working on the same show, creating the magic together."

The mother of six explained, "It would be boring if they were just traveling from hotel to hotel, and occasionally coming to watch the show. Of course, I am their mother, so sometimes we get on each other’s nerves. We are a family of artists, but we are also a family, and that’s what happens."

Smith is one of the most critically acclaimed Christian contemporary artists within the modern history of the genre with three Grammys, an American Music Award and 45 Dove Awards to his name. He was also inducted into the Gospel Hall of Fame in 2008.

Smith’s biggest project to date is “Worship,” his double platinum album released in 2001 and featuring hits like “Awesome God,” “Open The Eyes Of My Heart,” and “Above All.” Smith re-recorded the album in 2021 in honor of its 20th anniversary.

His latest release is a March EP titled “Worthy is the Lamb” featuring five live songs, but Smith also has decades of music to design a playlist for his upcoming performance. Since 1983, he has released 16 studio albums, six live albums and multiple EPs, 14 of which have gone gold and another five certified platinum. Overall, he has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and has over 36 No. 1 songs.

The 66-year-old from West Virginia is also known for his humanitarian efforts, including raising money to fight AIDS and as a spokesperson of Compassion International.

Woman says her son was choked with a jump rope at school

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KOVR) - A woman alleged her son was choked while at a school in Fairfield, California.

“The principal said she found out it was a jump rope that was tied around my son’s neck,” the boy’s mother Jessica Tyo, said.

Daniel is 5 years old. Due to his autism, he has a harder time communicating with his mother.

When he came home from school last Tuesday with marks on his neck, Tyo was distraught.

“If you can’t protect them at the school, why are we giving you our children for eight hours a day?” Tyo asked.

It happened at Fairview Elementary during an afterschool program.

Tyo said an older student wrapped the rope multiple times around her son’s neck in the school hallway.

“It’s anger that I could have lost my son’s life,” Tyo described. “Would they be getting away with murder today?”

The afterschool program, called “Right at School,” sent out an email to parents last week. It said there was an incident between students and it’s being investigated.

“It’s been about 10 days and I still have no answers. Nobody has called me,” Tyo claimed.

A spokesperson for Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District said in a statement they “are addressing the situation with the utmost seriousness.”

The response is not enough to comfort parents like Tyo, or her friend Samantha Siders.

“As of right now, all of my kids are out,” Siders said.

According to Siders, her children are no longer attending the afterschool program.

“What if my son was to go here next year, the one that has a speech delay? He actually can’t talk at all,” Siders said. “If this happens to him, we would have no information. "

Tyo went a step further and pulled her son from the school entirely. She said the district needs to do better.

“There’s no protection. There was no safety concern for my son,” Tyo added. “If this child got away with it the first time, what if it happens again?”

Proud mom Madonna says her kids have put ‘blood, sweat and tears’ into Celebration Tour performances

Madonna is proud of her children for working hard as performers in her ongoing Celebration Tour. 

“I think what my children learned the most in this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them,” the pop superstar, 65, said in an interview with W magazine published Wednesday. 

“And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears.”

As Madonna prepared to hit the road for the concert series — a spectacle that honors her four decades in the spotlight — she tapped her four youngest kids, David, 18, Mercy, also 18, plus 11-year-old twins Stella and Estere, to showcase their unique talents on stage. 

“Because the Celebration Tour is a retrospective of my life, I thought it made perfect sense to include all of my children still living with me in the show; they all dance and play musical instruments, and have been doing so for years,” the “Ray of Light” singer told the publication. 

“David has played guitar since he was a child. Mercy has played piano since she was 8 and she’s been classically trained most of her life. Eventually, when I adopted the twins, they started to play piano and dance as well.”

Madonna noted that there is “always an endless parade of dancing and [performing arts] teachers coming and going in our house,” so it only made sense to give her children a bigger platform to shine on the Celebration Tour.

A show highlight for the Grammy winner is when daughter Mercy accompanies her on piano during a powerful rendition of her 1993 ballad “Bad Girl.”

“I saw a strange, poetic juxtaposition of hedonism and exploration emerging into the light of Mercy, sitting stoically at her grand piano playing Chopin as she beckoned me towards her, making me think about the choices I have made in my life,” Madonna said, explaining how that specific moment came to be.

“Singing ‘Bad Girl’ was kind of my confession to her, and I felt we had an unspoken understanding of what was happening.”

Meanwhile, David duets with his mom on “Mother and Father” from her 2003 album, “American Life.” 

“‘Mother and Father’ is one of my favorite moments in the show because it gave me a chance to not only honor my mother and her memory but also to honor David’s mother and her memory,” she said of the young creative, whom she adopted from Malawi in 2006. 

“He has always wanted to sing and play guitar. He loves being on stage — this is nothing new. Much of the show is about motherhood, family, and the importance of that in my artistic life.”

As for Stella and Estere, the girls dance their hearts out when Madonna sings her 2000 smash “Don’t Tell Me,” and also during a section in the show that pays homage to ballroom and the art of vogueing. 

“While Estere was learning how to DJ, she became interested in ballroom competitions. Just by luck, one of my choreographer’s assistants, Ivy Mugler, has her own ballroom house called House of Mugler,” she says of how the two became interested in that sect of dance. 

“She started taking Estere aside during rehearsals to another room—and within a couple of weeks she was doing death drops and spins and surprising us with her ability. So, of course we had to turn that section of the show into Estere’s Ball.”

Madonna is also mom to Lourdes “Lola” Leon, 27 — whom she shares with ex Carlos Leon — and Rocco Ritchie, 23 — whom she shares with ex-husband Guy Ritchie. Her eldest have also participated in her tours, including 2012’s MDNA Tour, for which Lourdes worked in the wardrobe department while Rocco performed on stage. 

“I have always been blessed with children who are interested in music, dance and art. Starting from the top with Lola, who was not only an incredible ballet dancer and a rhythmic gymnast, she also switches to musical theater and contemporary dance,” she said. 

The eternal hitmaker acknowledged that “nothing brings [her] more happiness” than collaborating with her kids. 

“It would be boring if they were just traveling from hotel to hotel, and occasionally coming to watch the show,” she elaborated. “Of course, I am their mother so sometimes we get on each other’s nerves. We are a family of artists but we are also a family, and that’s what happens.”

The Celebration Tour’s next stop is Friday in Mexico City, followed by a final — and free — show in Rio de Janeiro on May 4.

The 2024 NFL draft is in downtown Detroit this Thursday through Saturday . Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to be there, with fans of all 32 teams looking to celebrate their teams' draft picks near the stage at Campus Martius and checking out the NFL Fan Experience at Hart Plaza.

If you're traveling to Detroit for the draft , here's a guide to make your draft experience easy and unforgettable. Information on registration, parking, travel, street closings, and draft day activities are all below.

When is the 2024 NFL draft?

The 2024 NFL draft is April 25-27 . The rounds break down as follows:

• 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25: Round 1
• 7 p.m. Friday, April 26: Rounds 2-3
• 12 p.m. Saturday, April 27: Rounds 4-7

Where is the 2024 NFL draft?

The 2024 NFL draft is in Detroit , spanning from Campus Martius to Hart Plaza in downtown with additional events in Beacon Park, Capitol Park, Grand Circus Park, Harmonie Park, and along Woodward Avenue. Here's how Detroit got the NFL draft .

2024 NFL draft registration, tickets, sign-up

The 2024 NFL draft is free to attend and open to the public. If you're planning to attend, though, you will need to register using the NFL OnePass app or online through the website .

Registering for the event only guarantees you the NFL draft footprint in downtown Detroit. You must buy tickets separately for the actual draft theater.

Ticket packages are available for purchase for the second and third rounds starting at $950 per person — the fourth through seventh rounds start at $550 per person as well. Please be wary of potential ticket scams .

2024 NFL draft map

Downtown detroit transportation.

Detroit has multiple public transportation options to get around downtown. The city has a streetcar , an elevated rail system , bike share , and bus system to get you where you need to go.

These include:

• The   Detroit People Mover , which will operate 24 hours a day from 7 a.m. April 25 through midnight April 28.
• The  QLINE   along Woodward Avenue, which will run from 8 a.m. to midnight April 25 through April 27. The stops include Harper Ave., 116 Lothrop St., 6540 Cass Ave., John R & Piquette and 6230 John R St.  
• Bus service: SMART will have park-and-ride services from various points in metro Detroit, including Great Lakes Crossing, several Meijer store locations and Oakland County Community College. It also has its FAST service on Gratiot, Woodward and Michigan Avenue. DDOT services will operate with modified downtown routes because of road closures.
• Shuttles and drop-offs: There will be designated shuttle and ride-share drop-off points throughout downtown on Woodward, Jefferson and Fort Street. Detroit Air Xpress, or DAX, is a nonstop coach bus service connecting downtown Detroit to Detroit Metro Airport, and  D2A2  is an express coach bus that connects downtown Detroit to downtown Ann Arbor.

• River East Garage , 214 Rivard St.  

Hours: 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday

Detroit parking for 2024 NFL draft

If you decide to drive  downtown , make a plan and prearrange parking . Many off-street lots and garages are booked, and street parking will be limited or restricted in the area. Parking regulations will be enforced; vehicles may be towed. Those planning to park downtown are encouraged to arrive by 10 a.m. You may find off-street parking options on the Park Detroit app or on Park Whiz.

You can pay for metered parking through Park Detroit's website or app. There are also options for private parking throughout the city.

Detroit road closures for 2024 NFL draft

The City of Detroit is conducting six phases of road closures leading up the 2024 NFL draft and during it. It started March 29 and will go through May 7. Be mindful of these closures as you're driving downtown.

Security, bag policy at the 2024 NFL draft

Detroit police say they've got a safety plan in place that includes increased police presence downtown, weapon detectors and video monitoring .

Detroit police have partnered with the NFL and local businesses on the security plan, as well as state and federal law enforcement, according to 3rd Precinct Cmdr. Matthew Fulgenzi.

The NFL will have weapon detectors installed that attendees must walk through at the gates of the event, which will take place at Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, Hart Plaza and a portion of Woodward Avenue. The NFL has a clear bag policy to enter the draft area, Fulgenzi said.

2024 NFL draft schedule of events, parties

2024 NFL draft day activities are from noon to 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, events go from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Use the NFL OnePass app to find more on what's planned and when throughout the NFL draft blueprint.

Activities include a Pro Football Hall of Fame exhibit and an autograph signing opportunity with current and former NFL players, as well as a 40-yard dash, vertical jump, deep throw accuracy challenges, and more. There will also be a collection of Detroit-based food trucks for participants who attend.
