Alice Cooper will make his long-awaited return to the road on a headline tour this Fall stopping at the Saint Louis Music Park on October 2, 2021! Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley will appear as the special guest on all shows!

Cooper, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, usually spends up to six months a year on the road, bringing his iconic brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock rock, Cooper (in both the original Alice Cooper band and as a solo artist) has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie. Alice Cooper concerts remain a "not-to-be-missed" attraction!

Ace Frehley, KISS co-founder and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, continues his reflections on a lifetime in music with Origins, Vol. 2 . No stranger to cover versions throughout his musical history — having recorded, rebranded and repossessed such notable nuggets as "New York Groove," "Do Ya" and "I Wanna Go Back" over the course of his eight previous studio efforts — this new collection presents a thoughtful and exciting selection of songs that inspired and helped shape the legendary guitarist. Foremost of importance to the original Spaceman is delivering an album his fans will enjoy, but one where every song also has a place in his life's jukebox.

Cooper was scheduled to headline the KSHE Pig Roast in June of last year, but we all know how Covid screwed the world up. So, KSHE brought him back to play the annual birthday party (54 years this year, wow!) on October 2.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee is no stranger to the road and has honed his stage shows to thrill audiences new and old. His tour kicks off this Friday in Atlantic City, NJ and will wrap up at the Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, GA on October 23.

Alice Cooper Announces Fall 2022 North American Tour

Alice Cooper will keep his show on the road this fall with a newly announced set of North American dates. The legendary shock rocker will embark on a month-long outing beginning in early September.

Since the concert industry started to open back up last year, Cooper has been a road dog. He embarked on a Fall 2021 trek with support from Ace Frehley, and is currently in the midst of a spring run with openers Buckcherry (with Frehley taking over the support slot for the final three shows).

The fall “Detroit Muscle” tour kicks off September 7th in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and runs through an October 8th show in Las Vegas. No opener has been announced yet, but tickets go on sale this Friday at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster , with a VIP pre-sale beginning tomorrow (April 12th).

Among the dates on Cooper’s fall run will be appearances at Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Alton, Virginia, on September 9th, and Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 24th.

Cooper is out in support of his 2021 album, Detroit Stories , but his recent sets have mostly been filled with classic hits like “School’s Out,” “I’m Eighteen,” “Poison,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and others.

Alice Cooper has announced his return to the live stage with a headlining tour in September and October 2021.

The tour, which kicks off September 17th in Atlantic City, will feature Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley as a special guest beginning with the September 18th show in Gilford, New Hampshire. Frehley will perform with Cooper through October 22nd, after which Cooper will wrap up the tour with a set at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival on October 23rd.

“We’ve always had fun touring together and it should be a heavy rock show with Ace and a great way to get everyone back to live concerts again,” Cooper said in a statement. “It should be a great night of virtuoso guitars!”

Frehley added: “I’ve known Alice for over 30 years. We’re good friends, and we’ve toured together numerous times and always had a blast. Our musical roots are very similar, and the combination of our two bands make for a great event that nobody is gonna want to miss. Being off the road for more than a year because of the pandemic has been tough on everyone in the music industry, and I’m really looking forward to seeing all of the fans happy, healthy, and ready to rock.”

KSHE 95’s Paranormal Evening with Alice Cooper

See kshe 95’s paranormal evening with alice cooper on saturday, october 20 at 8 p.m., event details.

Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. He continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he’s best known for.

With a schedule that includes six months each year on the road, Alice Cooper brings his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock-rock, Cooper (in both the original Alice Cooper band and as a solo artist) has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie, even in an era where CNN can present real life shocking images.

Cooper was born in Detroit Michigan, and moved to Phoenix with his family. The Alice Cooper band formed while they were all in high school in Phoenix, and was discovered in 1969 by Frank Zappa in Los Angeles, where he signed them to his record label. Their collaboration with young record producer Bob Ezrin led to the break-through third album “Love It to Death” which hit the charts in 1971, followed by “Killer,” “School’s Out,” ”Billion Dollar Babies,” and “Muscle of Love.” Each new album release was accompanied by a bigger and more elaborate touring stage show. 1974 saw the release of a “Greatest Hits” album, and then Cooper, in 1975, released his first solo album, “Welcome to My Nightmare” in 1975, accompanied by the legendary groundbreaking theatrical Welcome to My Nightmare concert tour.

Associated with that album and tour was the ground-breaking network TV special Alice Cooper: The Nightmare. Other film and television appearances include The Muppet Show, Mae West’s last film Sextette, Roadie, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearst Club Band and appearances on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson and Tom Snyder’s Tomorrow Show. The original band also made an appearance in the movie Diary of a Mad Housewife in 1979, filmed the full-length feature film Good To See You Again Alice Cooper, and Alice appeared in a 1972 episode of The Snoop Sisters.

Alice's solo career skyrocketed in the late 1970's, with a succession of hit singles, including "You & Me," and classic albums, including "Lace And Whiskey" and "From The Inside," and bigger and even more elaborate concert tours.

In the ‘80’s Cooper explored different sounds, highlighted by the new wavish album “Flush The Fashion,” the heavy metal “Constrictor” and "Raise Your Fist And Yell," and then 1989’s melodic hard rock album “Trash,” which featured the massive hit single “Poison” and became his biggest selling album and single worldwide. During this period Alice also appeared in the horror films Monster Dog and John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, and recorded songs for the soundtracks to Roadie, Class of 1984, Friday the 13 Part VI: Jason Lives and Wes Craven's Shocker.

Cooper’s most memorable movie appearance was as himself in Wayne’s World in 1991. He also played (fittingly) Freddy Krueger’s wicked step-father in Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, and appeared on Gene Wilder’s TV series Something Wilder as well as on That ‘70’s Show. The 90’s also saw the release of the albums “Hey Stoopid,” “The Last Temptation,” and “Fistful of Alice,” a live album.

1999 saw the release of the definitive historical 4 CD box set "The Life & Crimes of Alice Cooper," from Rhino/Warners.

In the new millenium, Cooper has been very productive and busy, writing, recording and releasing the albums “Brutal Planet,” “Dragon Town,” “The Eyes of Alice Cooper,” “Dirty Diamonds," “Along Came a Spider,” and 2011's "Welcome 2 My Nightmare," plus "Old School 1964-1974," a box set celebrating the original band.

Alice has been touring consistently, year in and year out, averaging over 80 concerts annually, both within the USA and internationally, with his band which features the three guitar attack of guitarists Ryan Roxie, Nita Strauss, and Tommy Henriksen, plus the rhythm section of drummer Glen Sobel and longtime bassist Chuck Garric. He also wrote and published a memoir, "Golf Monster," in 2007, which tracked his life from childhood to rock stardom, and his journey from alcoholic to golf addict, and was featured in the Tim Burton film "Dark Shadows" in 2012.

Alice's 2011 album "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" featured a return to his partnership with longtime collaborator, producer Bob Ezrin, as well as contributions from former original Alice Cooper bandmates Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Michael Brucem and a return to the themes of the iconic 1975 "Welcome To My Nightmare" album. Alice, Dennis, Neal, Michael, and the late Glen Buxton (posthumously) were inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in March, 2011.

2014 saw the release of "Super Duper Alice Cooper," a documentary detailing the arc of Alice's rollercoaster ride in the world of rock superstardom. Directed and produced by the same team from Banger Films that delivered the award-winning Iron Maiden and Rush documentaries, it premiered at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival in NYC, and has since been released on Blu-Ray and DVD by Eagle Rock Entertainment.

With his influence on rock & roll long since acknowledged, there is little that Alice Cooper hasn't achieved in his remarkable career, including platinum albums, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards.

As he heads back out on the concert trail each year, Cooper insists he's still motivated to continue touring and recording albums, as well as making time for such side projects as Cooper'stown (his Phoenix-based restaurant/sports bar) and his "Nights With Alice Cooper" nightly radio show, syndicated domestically and worldwide on over 100 stations.

Things to Do

Music and concerts, music and concerts | concert review: alice cooper and rob zombie make shock rock a blast at xcel energy center, cooper has influenced countless musicians who’ve followed him, including zombie himself.

Alice Cooper is shown wearing a top hat, long jacket and black leather pants on stage at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center with his band

From the early days of the Alice Cooper band to his solo career that began in 1975, the man born Vincent Furnier has enjoyed his position as one of the most-loved musicians in the business, thanks to his hard-driving songs, spirited live performances and comically ghoulish persona that earned him the title of the Godfather of Shock Rock.

Cooper has influenced countless musicians who’ve followed him, including Zombie himself, who inducted the Alice Cooper band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.

Now 76, Cooper has said he’s six years younger than Mick Jagger and that whenever the Rolling Stones frontman retires, Cooper figures he’s got six more years left in him: “I will not let him beat me when it comes to longevity.”

Sunday night, Cooper felt as ageless as ever, from his barking voice to multiple costume changes. He has continued to record new music, including his most recent four albums which he worked on with Bob Ezrin, the mega-producer behind Cooper’s biggest records from the ’70s.

Not that Cooper played any of the new stuff, though. In his tightly paced hour-long set, he focused on his early hitmaking days (“No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “Elected,” “I’m Eighteen”) and his successful second act during the hair metal era (“Poison,” “Hey Stoopid,” “Lock Me Up”).

Of course, he also found time for his famed theatrics. Cinematic serial killer Jason Voorhees showed up on stage during “He’s Back (The Man Behind the Mask),” a giant monster joined him for “Feed My Frankenstein” as did a whip-cracking demon in a bikini during “Go to Hell.” Cooper’s most famous bit took place during “Ballad of Dwight Fry,” which opened with him wearing a straitjacket and wrapped with his head on a guillotine.

The crowd ate it all up and showered love on his terrific band, which includes three guitarists. Fan favorite Nita Strauss even got her own solo.

Zombie, 59, first found fame in the ’90s as the leader of the metal band White Zombie. After a pair of hit major label albums, the band split and Zombie went on to pursue a solo career. He’s also become an accomplished director of horror films inspired by the likes of “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre,” “The Shining” and “A Clockwork Orange.”

As such, his show offered plenty of visual spectacle with custom graphics, vintage film clips and heavily treated live footage flickering on the numerous screens that decorated the stage. One of the most effective combinations of audio and visual happened during “The Satanic Rites of Blacula,” a track from his most recent album “The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy” that blended footage from the 1972 cult classic with pentagrams and blood red washes of color.

Zombie’s solo songs can get a bit murky, but “Living Dead Girl,” “Superbeast” and “Dragula” helped make the night a blast.
