Our interview was in notary and it was…

Our interview was in notary and it was an official statement, she didn't bring her id and she couldn't state her identity legally. Also she kept asking about her payment despite she didn't give any service. I booked her for two hours but she was with us max 30 minutes, I would be okay to give pay one hour payment since she came there. But she insisted to have two hours payment. We were trying to find solutions before our interview get cancelled, we asked her if she knows someone who can help and she forwarded us someone else with truly over price. Despite everything we were willing to pay it to solve our problems but notary said it has been late and they cancelled our interview. I have to find another interpreter and I won't prefer this platform again. I recommend everyone to go with legal channels, like the interpreters registered in ministry or the ones work in translation companies. The risk of getting scammed would be less in that case I think.

You ordered a professional interpreting service and an experienced interpreter with more than 15 years of experience in professional interpreting at different levels of negotiations and with many positive reviews from companies and private clients came to meet you. The interpreter allocated you 2 hours of time as it was ordered by you. However, as it turned out at the meeting you needed a sworn translator, which you did not notify either the interpreter or interpreters.travel in advance. Your mistake was that you ordered the interpreter instead of a sworn translator and did not notify anyone about this mistake in time. Unfortunately, the interpreter could not be replaced at the time of the appointment because you had limited time at the notary appointment. We are sorry that we could not do anything to help you to correct this situation, but the interpreter is not to blame, the interpreter has fulfilled her obligations in full. We recommend that you define the conditions for ordering interpreters more precisely in the future, regardless of the platform on which you order interpreters. The feedback you provided and shared with us is deeply appreciated, so we can work on improving our service and make sure we give the best service available. Be ware of scams. I had no confidence in this company when I saw the request for a Telephone job.

I received a request from Interpreters.travel this evening NZ time 8.52PM. The call was scheduled for 2023-09-22 14:21:00 UTC. How could I interpret for this client At 14.21NZ time when the email is asking me via email at 8.52PM. This is the first time I have received a request from this company. One cannot reply to their request via the request email. So who do we call and ask questions about this job. I did feel that something was not right and the worst thing was that I did not know who I was dealing with, where they got my contact from and no prior introduction before sending job requests. I had no idea who and how I was going to get paid, no idea of pay rates, no idea of where in the world they are. I believe when I googled them a few names of countries showed up that did not look like commonwealth countries. All I can say from this experience is "be ware" This does not sound legitimate to me. No professional interpreting and Translating company will operate in this manner. I would put this down to "SCAM" Here in NZ we interpreters are protected as we all know who the legitimate interpreting agencies are. I NEED YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

I was very disappointed in this service…

I was very disappointed in this service for several reasons. First of all their site frequently would not recognise my signon credentials and i had to keep resetting my password. I needed an interpreter for civil wedding ceremony. The first that accepted the contract immediately sent emails that she had to cancel shortly after payment was made. The second person to accept the contract and payment was made he immediately started to press for personal information that waa not needed to perform his role as interpreter. Eventually he wanted to verify the genders of the people being married. Once he was advised it was a same sex marriage he wrote that he would not accept the work due to his conscience. This tied up 2 interpreter fees for several days during a wedding in a foreign country. When advised of the situation interpreters travel offered no appology for the inprofessional treat meny of a paying client by thier associates. They have no standards of conduct for the people they represent. I eventually used my local contacts to find an excellent interpreter who is polite and professional and also less expensive than any that i encountered on this site. I will never use this business again as it supports discriminatory behavior and has poor customer service and a malfunctioning application
