You know that old saying “there’s a sucker born every minute”? Don’t be one of them. Stay ahead of these surprisingly effective travel scams to keep your vacation plans from falling apart. The schemes below may be just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to travel cons, but preparing yourself for these common swindles is a good place to start.

Vacation Clubs

Wholesale travel clubs claim that you’ll have access to incredibly cheap vacations if you join. However, once you pay the joining fees, you find that the deals offered aren’t any better than what you can find for yourself online—for free. Consumer advocate Christopher Elliott , whose book Scammed lays out a helpful roadmap for being a responsible and effective shopper in a world of corporate swindles, has told SmarterTravel: “I’ve never come across a legitimate travel club. My advice is to run, don’t walk.”

Elliott advises that anyone considering joining a travel club do research with a very critical eye beforehand. Simply doing an internet search for the name of the travel company plus “travel scam” will usually reveal a host of problems experienced by other members. Also check the Better Business Bureau for complaints about the specific service before you buy.

Timeshare Sales

Ed Perkins, a longtime contributing editor at SmarterTravel, calls the up-front fees for selling your timeshare the biggest travel scam out there.

“Scammers promise to get you out from under, saying they have buyers, but all they really do is take a fee, upward of $400, and do nothing,” says Perkins.

Never pay up front to have someone help you sell your timeshare. If you want out, go to a licensed company and check them out with the Better Business Bureau before listing with them. If you’re having trouble getting out of your timeshare , work with a rental company and rent it out to recoup some of the money until you can sell.

Vacation Certificates

Ed Perkins also warns against prepaid vacation certificates: “Travel scams promise really great prices but deliver nothing. The idea here is to get the up-front money, then keep stalling: ‘Sorry, these dates are sold out; try again soon.’ They delay until people just quit trying.” Or the company charges huge additional fees to redeem the certificates, and the trip is considerably less luxurious than promised. Before prepaying for a vacation package, be sure to research fees and blackout dates, as well as the company’s reputation.

“Travel-Agent” Card Mills

Ah, the life of travel agents. Cheap hotels and airfares are thrown at their feet once they pull out their travel-agent ID cards, right? Wrong. Don’t believe the hype from outfits that promise to issue you a travel-agent ID that provides access to discounts. Scammers charge hundreds of dollars for these cards, but victims who shell out will quickly find that no place will accept the fakes, and they never see any discounts. The only way to avoid this travel scam is to not buy a travel-agent card if you’re not a travel agent—there’s really no legal way to get around it.

Car-Rental Collision Damage Waivers

Rick Steves calls the car-rental collision damage waivers (CDW) a “collision damage waiver racket” for a reason. When you rent a car, the company often pressures you to buy a CDW supplement, which will prevent you from having to pay a high insurance deductible if the car is damaged. (The deductible can be thousands of dollars before insurance kicks in.)

But most major credit cards already include deductible collision coverage for free , so check your credit-card terms and pay for the rental car with your credit card. Then you’ll be covered without having to shell out extra cash for phony insurance. Most credit-card collision coverage is secondary, meaning you have to claim from your regular insurance first. If you don’t want a claim on your insurance, you can buy third-party primary collision coverage from the booking agency for about $10-$11 a day. Or, if it’s pricey, you can instead buy coverage from an independent outlet; sites like Bonzah.com offer rental coverage from $7.99 per day. That’s about one-third of what the rental companies charge.

“You Won a Free Trip!”

If you’ve ever dropped your business card in a “win a free trip” drawing at a restaurant or signed up to win at a fair, you may have gotten a phone call, letter, or email claiming you’ve won a free vacation. These days, the hustle is often via robocall. Be wary—many of these “prizes” are actually booby traps in which you’ll have to pay hefty fees to claim the vacation or give your credit card number to “verify your eligibility,” resulting in identity theft. After a recent lull in monitoring these robocalls, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is again cracking down on them. If you’re scammed, get the names of resorts and airlines included in the prize and call them independently to verify the trip. Never give credit card information to someone who cold-calls you, and be sure to get details of the prize in writing before accepting.

Fake International Driving Permits

The FTC also warns against fake International Driving Permits (IDPs) . Some countries require tourists to have an IDP in addition to a U.S. driver’s license. However, there are only two American associations that are legally authorized to issue IDPs—the American Automobile Association (AAA) and the American Automobile Touring Alliance (AATA). Fraudulent companies sell fake IDPs over the Internet, but you’ll pay hundreds of dollars for a permit only to face legal problems for using the imposter IDs in another country.

The Bait and Switch

The hotel you’re thinking of booking is suspiciously cheap, but the property’s website makes it look beautiful and centrally located. When you arrive, the hotel is run-down, missing amenities, and in a deserted part of town—and it won’t refund your money. Avoid this travel scam by using websites like Oyster (one of SmarterTravel’s sister sites) and TripAdvisor (SmarterTravel’s parent site) to read real customer reviews and see honest photos of the property.

“Grandparent” Travel Scams

Even if you’re not currently traveling, you can still be the victim of a travel scam: The State Department warns that scammers will call an older relative or friend of someone who’s away on vacation and pretend to be the traveler in desperate need of help. The scammer usually poses as the traveler or a foreign government official and directs the victim to wire a large sum of money, citing an array of things: They have been robbed and need money to return to the United States, or they have run into legal trouble and need bail money. Sometimes the scammer will even pretend to be someone from the U.S. embassy calling on behalf of the relative for money. Never wire money in response to a suspicious phone call; instead contact the State Department to ask if the situation is legitimate, or call your relative directly. If you encounter this scam, the FBI advises you report it to local authorities or a state consumer protection agency. You can also file a complaint with the FCC .

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) offers the following advice to prevent “grandparent” travel scams:

Never give out personal information such as account numbers, Social Security numbers, mothers’ maiden names, passwords, or other identifying information in response to suspicious calls or to callers demanding immediate action. Scammers can spoof the caller ID of their number to make it appear to be from a trusted source. If a caller claiming to represent a company or a government agency asks for personal information, hang up and verify the authenticity of the request by contacting the company or agency yourself, using information found on its official website or through other means such as the phone book. If a caller claims to represent a company with which you have an account—such as a utility or a bank—hang up and check the contact information on a recent bill or statement, then call the company back yourself.

Rental Property Scam

Rule of thumb: Never go to Craigslist (or anything similar) for a rental home. Scammers will place an ad and ask the victim to wire money to secure the vacation rental—and then disappear. Or they’ll have you send money to them rather than to the actual property owner. Avoid the rental scam risk by going through a reputable vacation rental site with protections and insurance guarantees such as Airbnb , HomeAway , or SmarterTravel’s sister site FlipKey , all of which will protect your money from fraudsters.

Bogus Travel Agents

Don’t trust a tour operator or packager you don’t know of or can’t find reviews of easily online—especially with a big payment. An even more worrisome version of these travel scams in the U.S. is fake versions of websites: You search for a hotel or tour and get through to what looks like a legitimate website from a known company. But it isn’t: It’s a copy-cat version run by a scamster who paid a lot of money for a good search engine position. At best, after you make a payment, the hotel will honor your reservation—but probably at a higher price than you should have paid. At worst, you get nothing.

Take a close look at the website’s URL. Unsure if it’s right? Do a new search to find the company’s homepage and compare it to the first half of the link—any rogue characters, numbers, or symbols might mean it’s a fake. You should also never pay for a service via wire transfer, or any other irreversible money-transfer system.

Currency Short-Changing

A longstanding travel scam relies on tourists’ unfamiliarity with a foreign currency. This can take various forms: counterfeit bills, miscounting change, mixing smaller bills into what should be a pile of larger notes, etc. Get to know the bills of any country you visit, and limit the amount of foreign currency you exchange and have with you at any time. Get your foreign currency from an ATM, and put all your big-ticket purchases on a credit card.

Counterfeit Event Tickets

These days, high-tech forging can make almost any piece of paper or cardboard look authentic. Don’t buy a high-priced ticket (or even a low-priced one) to a sold-out event from someone on the street or via an unfamiliar website. You might be turned away at the gate. Buy from an authorized source—the box office or an online dealer that’s a verified reseller.

Fake Tour Guides

Have you ever been walking in a tourist-frequented area and had someone approach you offering to be your guide? Of course, you would have no idea in this situation whether this person has any useful knowledge of the city, but you may be coaxed into a nearby store that they claim offers the “best” prices on local specialties.

Pre-arrange a guide through an official tourism office or a local travel agency so you can compare prices and know what you’re getting. I once arranged the best local guide I ever had through an American Express agency. A university history professor showed us the fantastic National Museum of Damascus in Syria.

Credit Card Fraud

One of many potential credit card fraud risks is the familiar “verification call” gambit. In this travel scam, within a few hours of checking into a hotel, you get a call from someone claiming to be at the front desk to “verify” the details of the card you used. Of course, that caller is a scammer with no connection to the hotel who just wants to get your card data. In this and any other situations, be highly suspicious of anyone who calls you asking for credit or debit card information, no matter how plausible the excuse may seem. Tell the caller you’ll be right down to settle the problem, and instead call a known number, like the hotel’s direct line, to settle whatever account is involved.

“I recently used an inexpensive travel agency for my...”

I recently used an inexpensive travel agency for my vacation plans, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Choosing this agency turned out to be a brilliant decision, and I'm genuinely impressed with the quality of service they provided, especially considering the affordability. To start with, the booking process was incredibly smooth and hassle-free. The agency's website was user-friendly, making it easy for me to browse through various destinations, accommodations, and flight options. What I appreciated the most was the clarity in pricing – no hidden fees or unexpected charges. The transparency gave me confidence in the agency right from the beginning. The customer service was exceptional. Despite being a budget-friendly option, the staff was attentive, responsive, and genuinely interested in ensuring I had the best possible experience. They patiently answered all my questions, offered helpful suggestions, and assisted me in tailoring my itinerary to suit my preferences and budget constraints.

My husband and I just got back from a 3.5 week trip to London and 4 regions of Italy. It was the best vacation we've ever had with huge thanks to Patty Baillie who coordinated our air, hotel and all the cars, boats and trains. She made some incredible suggestions and could not have been more helpful. Patty saved us when there was an airport strike in Rome on the day we were supposed to leave. She worked tirelessly over the weekend to find us a room and another flight which wasn't easy. We will use Patty to book all our future adventures!

I booked thru Travel Store, when it was called Palos Verdes Travel.....I tried to contact them again and was met with such disregard. Linda was at the desk and, when I asked to speak with the Manager, because they had ignored me for over a day, when I was asking for an Agent with expertise in Fiji. Was ignored and still no all or email, she was curt, then nasty, when I was following the manager around the office, as such, on hold, to speak to her, I was sent to voice mail. left a message....still have not heard from the Manager. I have other friends who will start planning a trip to four countries and I called them and told them.....do not work with these people. Their rudeness just lost a fair amount of money for the Agency........that's why customer service is a make it or break it service......I told Linda I was frustrated and angry and then she just HUNG UP ON ME rotten tomatoes for them

Dustin Thrane, our agent with Travel Store provided exceptional customer service. We were beyond grateful and super impressed. Dustin had booked us into a lovely Inn in Sonoma, but when we got there the only room they had was right next to the highway. It was like being in a big city near a freeway. We were so upset. It was a very expensive Inn and this wasn't acceptable. We reached out to Dustin and he responded immediately, even though it was after business hours. He intervened but it wasn't possible to change rooms as they were fully booked. We were beside ourselves, this was a much-needed vacation we'd been looking forward to for months. Dustin said it was unacceptable to stay in that room. He got them to waive the rules and we got a full refund. He then immediately found an even nicer property and booked us into a great room. It happened almost instantly. We went to the new place and it was awesome. Dustin made - and saved - our vacation. We will always work with him when we travel.

Patrick Hinds is a honeymoon expert! I've recommended him to many of my friends who have now used him too and had wonderful honeymoons, African Safaris, European getaways, and even bachelor and bachelorette party weekends. I had the most magical trip to Tahiti with zero planning or travel stress due to his amazingly detailed itinerary and foresight. 10/10!

Cara Kobzeff at TravelStore is simply miraculous. A friend referred us to her a couple years ago and she helped arrange a trip to Tokyo. She had amazing suggestions, guide referrals and prices for flights. We had a delay before meeting a connecting flight in LA en route to Tokyo, and when we called Cara to see what could be done fearing we had to reschedule on a new flight, Cara got the airline to pick us up off our arriving plane on the tarmac and drive us in a Maybach(!) to the departing flight so we wouldn't miss it. Bet you won't find another travel consultant who does that! Ever since our first experience we have used Cara exclusively for all of our travel. We have used her for quick trips to NY as well as complex family vacations to Asia and Europe. Can't say enough.

Hi Christopher, Thanks for posting this about Cara, one of our stars, and glad you appreciate the service she and TravelStore can provide. All the best.

Linda at the travel store has been my go to travel agent since booking my honeymoon in 2012. She has helped me plan trips to Bora Bora, Turks and Caicos, The Bahamas, Mexico, Hawaii and many other beautiful destinations. She always finds the best deals and has access to exclusive offers that you would not be able to obtain on your own. Linda is helpful, knowledgeable and quick to respond. I am looking forward to working with her again!

Hi Marmar, Thank you for your post and understanding the value we offer our clients-- we appreciate it (and we appreciate Linda!)

My husband and I needed help to plan a month in Europe, and he found Nina Omari from TravelStore. I'm so grateful that he did. She made planning a 3.5 week trip with 8 cities SO much easier. She did everything from help us narrow down the cities to choosing activities and tours that best fit is. She also did an excellent job choosing hotels in each city. I would highly recommend Nina and look forward to using her for our next trip!

Hi Sara, Thank you for posting about your experience with Nina and TravelStore's services. We appreciate it and glad you had a wonderful trip. Here's to many more!

My husband and I discovered TravelStore when we were looking for honeymoon options, and we are so glad we did! I am someone who usually likes to do all the planning myself - when we met with Patrick, we realized he knew so much more about the various honeymoon destinations we were considering (Tahiti vs. Fiji vs. Hawaii vs. Maldives) that it would add value to work with him. So we decided to give booking through him a try vs. booking on our own as I'd always done - and the result of that was the absolute BEST seats on the flight that we could get, UPGRADES at every single destination we went to, along with being greeted at the hotels as if we were the most important VIP guests there, and significant added value above and beyond what I could get booking on the hotel site directly (one word: spa). We had such an amazing and perfect honeymoon thanks to Patrick, and thanks to him we also realized that Tahiti was only an 8 hour direct flight from LA and made the most sense for us, and also discovered a gem of a destination on an exclusive island that no one else seemed to know about, was reasonable in costs, and has become the place we will definitely return to on an anniversary. After that great experience, we decided to work with Patrick again when booking our anniversary trip to Italy. This is one where I wanted to research hotels and options myself, and Patrick really worked with me vs. sending the standard packages that every travel agency would do. The result was a very customized trip and me feeling like I had the perfect balance of the planning and research I like to do with options I didn't even know were available opening up to me from Patrick's suggestions. Through him, we discovered hotels we wouldn't have known about again (Villa La Massa, Hotel Santa Caterina) and realized when we checked in that along with booking in advance, Patrick had called every hotel just before we arrived to ensure we would get room upgrades, even speaking to the manager at one hotel that seemed pretty fully booked to make sure we got upgraded for our anniversary! We arrived and the concierge looked at his notes and told us we got a triple upgrade - we booked a double room and got a suite! We were floored, and we knew it was all thanks to Patrick because he followed up with us on the trip to ensure we were well taken care of. To say that is service going above and beyond is an understatement. Another couple (our friends) was on the trip with us and they booked the same hotels directly and did not get a single upgrade. They also paid the same rates, and while all of us got free breakfasts, they didn't get extras like the comped airport pick-up in a Mercedes which we realized is actually expensive in Europe. They were a bit envious at the treatment we got and on our next couples trip, they want to book through Patrick and Travelstore too!

Enjoy more, worry less! Went to Italy on a three-city, 11 day vacation with two teenage boys and three adults and had a magical time, thanks to Rebekah Doran and the Travel Store. Her recommendations were perfect, in accommodations and touring activity. Our place in Florence, the Antica Torre Tornabuoni, was particularly fantastic, with the three suites combined into one, and fantastic views overlooking the river. It was ideally situated, close to shopping, to the art and most importantly, to a top-notch gelateria! The hotel service was great in both Florence and Rome, and within easy walking distance of a variety of authentic restaurants. We ended up not using any of your suggestions, unfortunately, because after a day of touring we just wanted something close. But we were never disappointed in the meals. Oh, the burrata! The tour guides that they arranged were very helpful. In Rome Sandro was a very charming guide into the food, history and art of the city, and we loved Luca from the bike tour, who alternated physical activity with history in perfect proportion (he would usually talk until we caught our breath!) I think the bike tour was my favorite part, as well for the teenage boys. Even the olive oil tasting was exciting! A close second was our tour of Herculaneum; I'm glad they steered us that way instead of Pompeii because of all of the intact houses and streets. Our drivers were all helpful and friendly. I think one of the things we were most grateful for was the organization of the trip. Because we worked out almost every detail with Rebekah beforehand, during the vacation we could concentrate on the wonders around us and not worry about how we were getting from one place to another. It took some back-and-forth to get it all hammered out, and it wasn't finalized until days before we left, but when we did leave we were ready and well-taken care of. They give you a detailed itinerary and an app that tells you what's happening each day that's really helpful. We were able to enjoy more, worry less. Would definitely use them again.

Jul 10, 2017

Hi James, Thanks for posting this review about Rebekah, our app and your experience. We wish you many happy travel adventures ahead. We agree: enjoy more, worry less!

I highly recommend hiring Rebekah Doran to help you coordinate your travels. She planned our month long European honeymoon this year and everything was remarkable. She is always willing to talk in person or over email and is quick with her responses. Rebekah gave us various choices on hotels in our price range and all of them were truly superb. She also typed up a very detailed travel agenda that included information about each area we were visiting and activities we might enjoy. Furthermore, she booked all of our flights, hotels, and train passes so we did not have to worry about transfers; which was so helpful! She is very knowledgable when it comes to traveling the world and will tell you her honest opinion of any and all places. My husband and I could not have picked a better travel agent! Her attention to detail is incredible and her suggestions are on point. Not only is she knowledgable, but she is also very kind and extremely patient. Rebekah is so good at what she does that my mom hired her to plan her and my father's anniversary trip as well as a family trip. We will definitely be using her again when planning our next adventure. Thank you Rebekah for making our honeymoon so incredible, the memories we made will last a life time!

Drawbacks of VIP Traveler

If you're thinking of living the high life and becoming a VIP traveler, you should know a few things first. While it may seem like all luxury and Champagne, the VIP lifestyle has some definite drawbacks.

Here are a few things to keep in mind before you make the leap:

  • It can be costly for the average traveler
  • Requires VIP+ membership to access complete services

Is VIP Traveler worth it?

We think the VIP Traveler is worth it to travelers who aren't traveling on a tight budget.

The travel agency has an extensive network of travel experts that provide personalized travel experiences to clients. You will get a wide range of advice, preferential booking rates, and additional VIP perks. You can expect a 'happiness guaranteed' traveling experience using algorithm-based recommendations. If you're not satisfied with your experiences, you're guaranteed a refund.

However, as an advocate for bang-for-the-buck travel, we believe you can plan your own trips hassle-free with the right travel planner. You can avoid paying the hefty membership fee or joining on one of their pre-set trips, which is no different than regular travel guides.

VIP Traveler touts exclusive insider rates, but so do many competitors offering competitive rates for inclusive travel, like Club Med and Amex Travel . Check out our review of them to get a better idea before you make the purchase!

Our Rating: 3.8/5

  • Personalized travel experience
  • Exclusive insider rates
  • Great customer services
  • Expensive membership fees
  • Not for all types of travel
  • Full membership required for full service

To be clear this review is for VIP-traveler.com and not VIPtraveler.com. After paying around $9000, we called them to make hotel arrangements for us and were told that we needed to do it ourselves using their website. Quite frustrating and at the end we found we could do just as well on Hotwire or some similar website. The next time we called them, we asked for help with airfare only to be told that government regulations prohibit them from providing airfare. I’m not sure what value I’m getting based on what I paid. Very very disappointed.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

By Claudia Looi 2 Comments

Komsomolskaya metro station

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

How to get Billie Eilish tickets for the 2024-2025 world tour

When you buy through our links, Business Insider may earn an affiliate commission. Learn more

Billie Eilish is coming off quite a thrilling couple of years, and it looks like she's gearing up to continue the excitement through 2025. The Grammy and Oscar Award-winning singer-songwriter just announced the "Hit Me Hard and Soft" world tour, and tickets go on sale to the general public very soon. Below, we'll show you everything you need to know about how to get Billie Eilish tickets.

Eilish has already won nine Grammy Awards at just 22 years old, and she added a second Oscar to the mix earlier this year when she won Best Original Song at the Academy Awards for her work on "What Was I Made For?" in the Barbie movie, alongside her brother Finneas. The duo previously won the Oscar in 2022 for their "No Time To Die" song in the most recent James Bond movie.

Eilish announced the "Hit Me Hard and Soft" tour in celebration of her forthcoming album of the same name, which will be released on May 17. This will be Eilish's third studio album, following "Happier Than Ever" and "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?"

We've got you covered if you're looking for tickets to Billie Eilish's 2024-2025 concert tour. Here's our breakdown of Billie Eilish's tour schedule, purchasing details, and anticipated pricing. Plus, we'll show you everything you need to know about the Ticketmaster pre-sale, general public sale, and exchange program.

How to get Billie Eilish tickets

Initial Billie Eilish tickets are sold through Ticketmaster . Tickets were first sold through a pre-sale from Tuesday, April 30 at 12 p.m. ET to Friday, May 3 at 11 a.m. ET. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Ticketmaster starting on Friday, May 3 at 12 p.m. ET. Historically, Billie Eilish tickets are snapped up pretty quickly, so fans will want to be waiting in the queue as soon as the sale starts.

Listings for Eilish's shows through resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats popped up before the pre-sale even started. People are welcome to browse those sites as well, although resale tickets come with some stipulations for Eilish's tour.

For the "Hit Me Hard and Soft" world tour, tickets on many dates are not eligible for transfer outside the official Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange program. States like New York, Illinois, Colorado, Virginia, Utah, and Connecticut have laws that don't limit ticket resale, so people can purchase tickets through resale websites for concerts in those regions. For shows outside those states, you'll probably want to stick with buying from the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange if you cannot get your hands on original standard tickets during the initial sale.

Below are the cheapest starting prices on StubHub and Vivid Seats for Eilish's tour stops in states where ticket transfer is eligible, including her three Madison Square Garden shows.

Billie Eilish schedule

Billie Eilish's "Hit Me Hard and Soft" tour will run through North America, including stops in Canada and the US, from September 29, 2024, to December 17, 2024. Then, she'll embark on the international legs of her tour, starting in Australia on February 18, 2025, and ending in Ireland on July 27, 2025. Below, we've compiled all of her North American tour dates. You can check Ticketmaster for a full list of global tour stops and additional ticketing information.
