The singer-songwriter has added 18 new concerts, including additional shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, Boston, Seattle, and San Francisco (plus several cities abroad). The itinerary below has been updated with new dates in bold.

The trek kicks off next year on Feb. 23 in Palm Springs, California, with stops at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. In April, she’ll play four nights at New York City’s Madison Square Garden — where she once sang onstage with Billy Joel — before heading to the U.K. and Europe. The tour concludes with another four night run in Los Angeles, wrapping Aug. 17. Openers will be the Breeders , PinkPantheress , Chappell Roan , and Remi Wolf .

North American fans can register for the Guts tour now through Sunday. A portion of the proceeds will go to Rodrigo’s new nonprofit, Fund 4 Good, which supports women’s education, reproductive rights, and prevents gender-based violence.

Olivia Rodrigo Announces 2024 GUTS world tour

Facebook icon

The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf to Join on Select Dates

Registration for access to tickets is open now through sunday, september 17 at 10 pm on oliviarodrigo.com .

Today, multi-platinum, three-time Grammy award-winning artist Olivia Rodrigo announced her highly anticipated GUTS world tour in support of her second studio album, GUTS , which was released September 8 via Geffen Records to critical acclaim. Produced by Live Nation, the massive global 2024 tour kicks off its 57-date run on Friday, February 23 in Palm Springs, CA at Acrisure Arena, with stops across North America and Europe, including Miami, Toronto, New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and many more before wrapping up with back-to-back shows on Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf will join on select dates across the tour.

Following the incredible success of her 2022 debut tour The SOUR Tour, the GUTS world tour will be Olivia’s first arena tour, taking her to iconic venues around the world including Madison Square Garden, Kia Forum, Sportpaleis, The O2 and more. During this run, she will be performing multiple nights in various cities, including two nights in New York, Los Angeles, and London.

One of the most highly awaited albums of the year, GUTS arrived as the follow-up to Rodrigo’s 4x Platinum 2021 full-length debut SOUR and features her No. 1 hit “vampire” and the new focus track “get him back!” Like “vampire,” GUTS ’ second single “bad idea, right?” was named a Best New Track by Pitchfork , who hailed the latter as “one of the best pop performances of the year.” Released last month alongside its B-movie-inspired video , “bad idea right?” also drew raves from the likes of Rolling Stone (who called it a “sugary headbanger”) and the New York Times (who praised the track as a “bright, kaleidoscopic head-rush of a pop song…” in its weekly column “The Playlist”).

Critical Acclaim for GUTS:

“Rodrigo is a songwriter of rather astonishing purity — even in her most stylized lyrics, she never wanders far from the unformed gut-kick of a feeling.” – The New York Times

“… Guts is another instant classic, with her most ambitious, intimate, and messy songs yet. Olivia’s pop-punk bangers are full of killer lines” – Rolling Stone

“Guts is a no-skip album”  – USA Today

“All over Guts, she’s so witty, so pissed off, so angsty at the same time, the way only a rock star can be. And this is the album of a truly brilliant rock star.” – Rolling Stone

“With Guts, Rodrigo has released the most complete pop album of the year.”–  Billboard

About Olivia Rodrigo

After shattering records with her chart-topping, 4x Platinum debut album SOUR – the fastest album in history to have all of its songs certified RIAA Platinum or higher – Olivia Rodrigo makes a monumental return with her new album GUTS , revealing newly heightened sophistication as a vocalist and lyricist. Produced by and co-written with Daniel Nigro (her main creative partner on SOUR ), each song intensifies the emotional honesty that’s always imbued her storytelling. Rodrigo expands her expressive palette, uncovering entirely new dimensions of her artistry, as exemplified by lead single “vampire.”

Hailed by Pitchfork as the “Best New Track” upon release, “vampire”debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, set the Spotify record for the biggest debut for a solo song in 2023, and ultimately shot to No. 1 at Top 40 Radio. Most recently, “vampire” reached the No. 1 spot on the UK Official Singles Chart — a turn of events that made Rodrigo the female artist with the most No. 1 singles in the UK this decade. “vampire” amassed over 100 million combined streams in its first week and charted at No. 1 in Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. The 20-year-old is the youngest artist in Hot 100 history to debut three hits at No. 1.

Named the #1 Album of 2021 by Rolling Stone and hailed as one of the Best Albums of 2021 by The New York Times , among others, SOUR is now 4x Platinum in the U.S. and has sold over 17.9 million global album adjusted units with over 42 billion streams worldwide. Each of the album’s 11 tracks landed in the top 30 of Billboard’s Hot 100, making Rodrigo the first female artist to simultaneously chart 11 or more songs in the top 30.

She received seven GRAMMY® Award nominations—including nods in each of the Big Four categories—and took home awards for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 64th GRAMMY® Awards. Rodrigo was named New Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards, Woman of the Year at Billboard’s 2022 Women in Music Awards and Songwriter of the Year at both the ASCAP Pop Music Awards and Variety Hitmakers.

Due to demand, a limited number of fans will get access to the sale based on ticket availability and the majority of fans will be placed on the waitlist.

Every effort is made to give fans who are invited an opportunity to shop. If any tickets remain after the initial group of fans are given the opportunity to shop, we will begin moving additional fans off of the waitlist and inviting them to shop the sale.

A limited number of randomly selected fans will get access to the sale, and others will be put on the waitlist. Getting access to the sale doesn’t guarantee tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Common Questions

What happens if i’m on the waiting list.

There are often far more fans registered than there are tickets available, and in that case the majority of  fans are placed on the waitlist.

Sometimes, if tickets remain, additional fans may be randomly selected from the waitlist for future ticketing opportunities .

How will I know if I move off the waitlist?

Should additional tickets be available, fans may be randomly selected to move off the waitlist .

I got an email saying I’m on the waitlist, what does that mean?

When demand exceeds availability, random selection will determine which registered fans receive a unique access code and which are put on the waitlist.

If you’re currently on the waitlist, stay tuned — you may still have a chance to shop for tickets .

What’s the difference between American Express® Early Access and the Registration Onsale?

Registration for American Express Early Access is limited to American Express Card Members only. An American Express Card is required to proceed with the registration. Card Members will be prompted to sign in with their Ticketmaster account to continue and confirm their Card Member status. If you don’t have your American Express Card on file, you will be able to add it during the registration process. Anyone who is not an American Express Card Member can register for the registration onsale.

I received a confirmation email, what does that mean?

This email is to confirm your details and that we successfully received your registration. Please note that your confirmation email is not an invitation to shop. Once we get closer to the sales, you’ll receive an email with additional information about your invitation status.

Does registering mean I will get an invitation to purchase tickets?

No, registering does not guarantee that you will be selected for the chance to purchase tickets during the sales. Due to the limited quantity of tickets available, if demand for tickets exceeds supply, registered fans may be selected at random to participate in the sales.

Does receiving an invitation mean I will get tickets?

Receiving an invitation means that you’ll have the opportunity to shop for tickets. However, the ability to purchase tickets is determined by supply and demand, and is not guaranteed. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

If I am selected to shop for tickets, will I be able to buy for more than one show?

If you are selected to participate in one of the sales, you will receive a unique text message for each show you have been invited to shop for. Please follow the instructions included in each text message to shop for your respective show(s).

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, September 21 . Only those who were sent a link and unique code will be able to access the waiting room and queue. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

How do I access the ticket sale once I get a unique access code?

If you’ve received a sale link and unique access code, follow these steps:

  • Using the link provided to you via text, you can join the Waiting Room up to 30 minutes prior to your sale opening.
  • Sign in to your Ticketmaster account with the same email and password used for your registration — this is used to confirm you have access to the sale. Only those who were sent a link and unique code will be able to access the waiting room and queue.
  • When the sale opens, you will be placed in a virtual line.
  • Once it’s your turn, enter your access code exactly as it appears, and join the sale.

Remember: Access to the ticket sale does not guarantee you will be able to purchase tickets.

Why do I see tickets for sale before the Amex Early Access sale has even happened?

Many unofficial sellers will list tickets before they even go on sale. This practice is called speculative listing and fans should not trust resellers claiming to have tickets. Those speculative listings are not real tickets in hand. Beware of these sellers. Learn more about spec tickets here.

When should I expect my access code?

If you are selected to receive an access code, you will receive a code via SMS the evening before the ticket sales begins. This message will include information on when the sale starts, a salelink, and your unique, non-transferrable access code.

Can I share my access code with my friends or family?

No. Your access code is unique to your account, and for this reason, you cannot share your code with friends or family. Do not trust anyone selling an access code , as codes cannot be purchased or transferred .

Tickets have gone on sale, I registered and never received my access code?

Registering does not guarantee you will receive a n access code nor that you will have the ability to purchase tickets. Please note, we expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Why didn’t my access code work?

Please make sure you entered the correct code and have not exceeded the ticket limit. Due to demand, all events have a ticket limit to allow more fans like you to get tickets.

There are often far more fans registered than there are tickets available, and in that case more fans placed on the waitlist than randomly selected for access.

Sometimes, if there are tickets available, additional fans will be randomly selected from the waitlist for access and receive an email with a unique access code and purchase link. Keep in mind, your notification may come at any time after tickets originally went on sale.

Should additional tickets become available, a select number of registered fans may be randomly selected to move off the waitlist. If this happens, you will be notified via text message.

If I was selected for American Express® Early Access, do I need to use an American Express Card to purchase tickets?

Yes, all tickets options available during American Express Early Access will require an active American Express Card to successfully complete your purchase.

Can I change or update my American Express Card to a different one after I register?

Yes, you may change or update your American Express Card between registering and purchasing tickets. An active American Express Card is required for both though, so please always ensure your Payment Options are up-to-date in your Ticketmaster account.

How much will tickets cost?

Standard tickets will range from $49.50 – $199.50 plus taxes and applicable fees in the U.S. Additional ticket options including a limited number of Charity Platinum and VIP packages will be available for purchase as well, with a portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales going to Olivia Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good.

If my parent uses their credit card to buy tickets for me, do they need to attend the show and bring their card?

No. The tickets will be in the Ticketmaster account holder’s account. (Remember, receiving a code does not guarantee tickets.)

Olivia Rodrigo Adds 18 New Dates to ‘Guts’ World Tour

Olivia Rodrigo at the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Red Carpet held at the Microsoft Theatre on November 5, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.

After announcing the “ Guts ” world tour, the second trek of Olivia Rodrgo’s fast-rising career, the pop singer has now extended the lineup, adding 18 more concerts for a total of 75 shows.

The additions include a third and fourth show in New York, London and Los Angeles, as well as second shows in Chicago, Montreal, Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, San Francisco and more. The tour launches in California in February and stretches across North America for six weeks before moving to Europe, then returns to North America in May before concluding in Rodrigo’s home of Los Angeles on the newly added date of August 17.

Popular on Variety

Rodrigo performed “Vampire” and “Get Him Back!” at MTV’s Video Music Awards on Tuesday night, following Lil Wayne as the second performer of the evening. It was her second-ever appearance at the show as Rodrigo made her VMAs debut in 2021 when she performed her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Good 4 U.”

“Guts” was released to high acclaim on Sept. 8 via Geffen Records and was preceded by two top 10 singles, “Vampire” and “Bad Idea Right?” “Vampire” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Rodrigo the youngest artist to debut three No. 1 hits on the chart behind “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U.”

“I think there’s a lot of fun songs,” she said. “I wrote the album with a tour in mind, so I think they’re all songs I wanted people to be able to scream in a crowd. Hopefully, that’s what’s achieved.” A similar teaser — in the form of a faux ticket advertising “ Olivia Rodrigo : Guts The World Tour” — appeared in a lyric video for “Making the Bed,” the sixth track off “Guts.”

Rodrigo last toured North America and Europe in support of her debut album “Sour” in 2022. It started on April 5 in Portland and ended on July 7 in London. Gracie Abrams, Holly Humberstone, Chappell Roan and Baby Queen served as opening acts.

Onstage, a Feisty Olivia Rodrigo Tests Out Life After Girlhood

The opening night of the pop star’s Guts World Tour had sparkle and abandon, but making her songs feel big didn’t require much besides the songs themselves.

A woman with long hair standing onstage and singing into a microphone. She is wearing a sparkly short skirt and a matching crop top, black fishnets and black boots.

By Jon Caramanica

Reporting from Palm Desert, Calif.

As a pop star, Olivia Rodrigo wields a rather unusual arsenal of weapons. She is an acute writer and an un-self-conscious singer. She largely abhors artifice. She is modest, not salacious. In just three years, she has achieved something approaching stratospheric fame — a four-times platinum debut album and a Grammy for best new artist — while somehow remaining an underdog.

But the weapon she returns to again and again is a very pointed and versatile curse word, one that she used to vivid effect on both her 2020 breakout hit, “Drivers License,” the first single from her debut album, “Sour,” and also on “Vampire,” the Grammy-nominated single from her second album, “ Guts ,” released last year. It’s in plenty of other places, too, giving her anguished entreaties an extra splash of zest. She wants to make it clear that underneath her composed exterior, she’s boiling over.

On Friday night at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, Calif., during the opening performance of the Guts World Tour, Rodrigo couldn’t get enough of that word. She used it for emphasis, to connote dismissiveness and to demonstrate exasperation. But mostly she used it casually, in between-song banter, not because she needed to, but because using it felt like getting away with something.

Much of Rodrigo’s music — especially “Guts,” with its detailed and delirious ruminations about new fame and its discontents — is about how it feels to act bad after being told how important it is to be good. It’s situated at the juncture where freedom is just about to give way to misbehavior.

This was true of her performance as well, which brought the perfection and order of musical theater to the pop-punk and piano balladry that her songs toggle between. Over an hour and a half, Rodrigo alternately roared and pleaded, stomped and collapsed. She led a reverent 11,000-person crowd — a sizable leap from the theaters she played on her first tour — in singalongs that were churchlike and raucous, but never rowdy.

Throughout the concert, Rodrigo made gestural nods to abandon — singing the first verse of “Get Him Back!” through a megaphone, knocking the mic stand down at the end of “All-American Bitch,” performing spicily for a camera peering up from beneath a clear section of the stage on “Obsessed.”

While she has an exuberant stage presence, she is not a full-service pop star, and is better for avoiding that trap. Rodrigo is on her surest footing when performing faithful, unflashy recitations of her songs. She opened the night with a boundlessly energetic “Bad Idea Right?” followed by “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl,” perhaps the truest statement of purpose from her last album, and let the dry, groaning ’90s guitars telegraph anxiety and gloom.

Those songs emphasize Rodrigo’s yen to rock, which is earnest and studied and bolstered by an impressively roaring band that lent her a soupçon of grit. But she followed with an even more powerful troika of howling repudiations: “ Vampire ” into “Traitor” into “Drivers License,” a string of slow ballads that are among her most invigorating songs. (Almost as moving was hearing three young girls, maybe 8 years old, screaming their brains out to “Traitor” while watching its music video in the back of a tricked-out Mercedes Sprinter van in the parking lot before the show.)

But making her songs feel big didn’t require much besides the songs themselves. At the end of “The Grudge,” Rodrigo stood pointedly alone at the foot of the stage, a flash of self-sufficiency and defiance. (Dancers joined her for several songs, and for some, she danced along with them awkwardly.) Late in the performance, she sang a gasping “Happier” and the casually sinister “Favorite Crime” while seated at the edge of one of the stage’s tentacles. And although she was floating over the crowd on a crescent moon for “Logical” and “Enough for You,” two of her most heartbreaking songs, it was the firm quiver in her voice that thrilled the most, not the spectacle up in the air.

In her outfits, Rodrigo leans into a combination of demure and tough. Her fans have been taking note. In the crowd, there was near sartorial unanimity — young girls, mostly teenagers, in midthigh skirts and either black boots or Chuck Taylors. Almost everyone had at least one item that sparkled. It recalled early Taylor Swift tours, where young fans arrived in sundresses and cowboy boots by the thousands. At one point, Rodrigo asked the crowd if anyone had come with their father (many), then if anyone had come with a boyfriend or girlfriend (not many). Then she asked if anyone had dressed up for the show, and the crowd roared almost in unison. (Women outnumbered men so significantly, most of the men’s restrooms were converted to all-gender for the night.)

At the merchandise booths, vendors were selling the accouterments of girlhood: lavender butterfly-shaped tote bags, star-shaped stickers that adhere to your face (to emulate the “ Sour ” album cover) and Band-Aids with Rodrigo catchphrases. And onstage, the performers were advertising the power of girlhood: the members of Rodrigo’s band and dance troupe were all female, nonbinary or transgender.

Rodrigo has made supporting young women part of the tour, too: Proceeds from each ticket go to her charitable organization, Fund 4 Good, and will support “community-based nonprofits that champion girls’ education, support reproductive rights and prevent gender-based violence.”

That’s in keeping with Rodrigo’s enduring and persuasive narrative that girlhood is fraught. Her rendition of “Teenage Dream,” a ballad about wondering whether the best years of her life are already past, was particularly revelatory, especially with the backing visuals of Rodrigo as a young child toying around with performing, unaware of the realities of stardom.

The opener was Chappell Roan, a sexually frank singer whose big voice was obliterated by her arrangements. She offered a contrast to Rodrigo, who sings about sex in glancing references and punchlines, often hidden in the middle of a verse. (Beginning in April, the openers will be Remi Wolf, PinkPantheress and, very promisingly for the cross-generationally curious, the Breeders.)

That subject matter is still too raw for Rodrigo, who never places herself too far away from her youngest fans, or her younger self. But that might change soon. Rodrigo turned 21 a few days before this show, perhaps the final publicly acknowledged demarcation line between youth and adulthood. She did not let it pass without comment.

“I went to the gas station the other day and bought a pack of cigarettes,” she said, sitting at the piano after “Drivers License,” in what threatened to be the night’s sole moment of genuine misbehavior.

But then she confessed, “I promise I didn’t consume it, but I just bought it just because I could.” Did she add a curse word for emphasis? She fudging did.

Introducing Olivia Rodrigo, The Arena Rock Star

Philip Cosores

Just a few days following her 21st birthday , it already feels like punky-pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo is running out of benchmarks to clear.

She’s a Grammy award winner — including the coveted prize for Best New Artist in 2022 — and has also received prizes from the American Music Awards, iHeart, Billboard , and numerous critics prizes for both of her albums, 2021’s Sour and 2023’s Guts . She has starred in a successful television show ( High School Musical: The Musical: The Series ) and featured in her own Disney+ documentary ( Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U ), in addition to memorable SNL , Tiny Desk , and VMAs performances. She’s landed three songs at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and both of her albums on top of the Billboard 200, essentially positioning herself as one-of-one when considering critical and commercial success stories in the 2020s. And when you factor in brand deals with the likes of the Apple iPhone, Crumbl cookies , and even her own Erewhon Smoothie , the only big thing missing from Rodrigo’s musical resume is longevity, which, at this point, feels like a foregone conclusion.

Well, the only big thing except for the touring front.

Olivia Rodrigo

While Sour was a monster moment by all metrics, Olivia Rodrigo’s touring behind it was far more conservative than you’d expect for an artist launching in such a bold, underlined, and italicized way. Sure, her Sour performances hit big amphitheaters and even a low-cap arena or two across both Europe and North America. Still, many artists would have parlayed that into an even bigger run of arenas, even stadiums. But for the young artist Rodrigo, it felt a lot more planned-out and controlled than just letting the success of her debut carry her as far as possible. Instead of performing without an end in sight, she went back and crafted a follow-up that doubled down on her alt-rock aggression and theatrical balladeering. With a minimal amount of material under her belt, she didn’t milk what she had for all its worth. Everything about how she positioned herself screamed that Rodrigo is in it for the long haul, rather than trying to capture lighting in a bottle.

That’s what makes the Guts World Tour — which kicked off last night at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California — all the more intriguing. Something changed in the live music space within the last year. Following the launches of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour — and to a slightly lesser extent, SZA’s run supporting SOS — major concert tours have felt like the true north star for shared communal moments. From the hardships of just getting tickets that exposed flaws in the live music infrastructure to the social media frenzy that the performances caused, big tours are poised to replace festivals as the marquee moments for young people to opt in to. You don’t need to look further than the waning sales demands for typical behemoth events to bolster this claim. Part of that may be concertgoers with limited resources are now spending their festival money on after-market single-shows, and part of that might be that festivals having difficulty booking these same top-tier artists who can make more money — and have more control — doing things on their own.

Olivia Rodrigo

For 2024, Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour is primed to follow in these footsteps. We’ve already seen the expected madness on the sales front, with tickets selling out fast and secondary prices shooting through the roof. And now, with the launch, we can say that Rodrigo delivers mightily on the anticipation with a show that balances many elements that would be in conflict in lesser hands. Whether it be her rock and pop tendencies, her teenage feelings with grown-up ambitions, or the actions of feeling larger-than-life while also personal and relatable, Rodrigo managed everyone’s expectations with the grace of an acrobat.

If you were a fan of Rodrigo the rock star, the show’s bookends put her head-banging, guttural-screaming self on full display. “Jealousy, Jealousy” found her channeling Robert Plant’s hip-shaking swagger, while openers “Bad Idea, Right?” and “Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl” set the night in motion with blinding lights and fifth-gear propulsion. By the end of her 100-minute set, any pop-star frills that punctuated the performance’s middle sections had dissolved as Rodrigo busted out her own guitar playing on “Obsessed” and went full ’90s rocker with a bullhorn rap on “Get Him Back.”

Olivia Rodrigo

But those “frills” were nothing to shrug at, either. Rodrigo covered for her own blindspots by having backing dancers fill in needed gaps for the mid-tempo “Pretty Isn’t Pretty” and the rambunctious highlight “Love Is Embarrassing.” And while the stage kept Rodrigo stationed on one end of the hockey arena, she slowly sailed on a floating moon around the venue for fans in the back to view her up close, offering up “Logical” and “Enough For You” in the process.

But the most impressive aspect of Rodrigo — her magic trick that no one does quite like her — is appealing to both the children who screamed when Rodrigo asked if it was their first concert, and the adults who use Rodrigo’s music to excavate feelings that either have been dormant since their youth or never went away at all. As a young woman, this is surely an aspect of her own music that she has to grapple with, performing songs she literally created as a love-lorn teen with newer tunes that have transitioned ever so slightly into more adult topics and language and signifiers. But Rodrigo is never alienating. She can sell shot glasses on her web store and also have cotton candy booths are her concerts. She can inspire kids to cosplay in their finest lavender finds for her tour while also trendset in Hot Topic-chic, fishnets, and boots as a bonafide style icon. She’s establishing herself as an artist that one generation will grow up with, and another can appreciate with a sense of nostalgia and camaraderie.

Olivia Rodrigo

This was most clear early in the set during “Teenage Dream,” which was backed with a series of childhood videos of a young Rodrigo, and concluded with audio recording of some of her early performance forrays. She would note that she grew up not far from where the concert took place, in Temecula, California, but didn’t really have to underscore the meaning of launching her first arena tour so close to home, fulfilling a dream she had not many years before. The audience could easily understand that at just 21 years old, Rodrigo has both come a long way and still has a long way to go. But she’s now officially an arena rock star, and she’ll have to figure out what milestone to conquer next.

Setlist: Bad Idea, Right? Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl Vampire Traitor Drivers License Teenage Dream Pretty Isn’t Pretty Love Is Embarrassing Making The Bed Logical Enough For You Lacy Jealousy, Jealousy Happier Favorite Crime Deja Vu The Grudge Brutal Obsessed All-American Bitch Good 4 U Get Him Back!

The company’s FAQ noted that tickets would range from $49-$200, but some fans found themselves shelling out for tickets billed as “Charity Platinum,” including one TikTok user who said she spent $950 on one seat, reports Forbes .

How to Get Tickets to Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour

Guts World Tour tickets are currently available at GameTime , SeatGeek , StubHub , Ticket Liquidator , Ticket Network and VividSeats , with prices as of press time ranging from $135 for St. Louis to upwards of $1,400 for pit access in Los Angeles.

For those who missed out on Ticketmaster’s $20 Silver Star tickets last year, resale sites are likely the best bet for cheap or discounted Olivia Rodrigo tickets for last-minute buyers. Olivia Rodrigo Guts World Tour: Presale, Ticket Delivery Dates

To register for early Guts World Tour tickets, fans had to fill out a form in September for their preferred show on Ticketmaster, which will send an email confirmation. Ticketmaster sent a follow-up email notifying buyers if they were randomly selected for the sale or placed on the waitlist. Those selected received a unique access code via text (accessible through their account only) the day before tickets went on sale.

According to the company, this early access process “helps block bots, reduces resale and gets more tickets directly into the hands of fans who want to attend the show.” (Learn more about the process at Ticketmaster .)

Though she was relatively new when her Sour Tour sold out theaters across the country, including two evenings at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles back in 2022, singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo delivered a stunning performance during her first run in L.A.

Since then, she’s gone on to win multiple Grammy Awards and perform on various late night television shows and even “Saturday Night Live.” She also dropped the follow-up to her top-selling debut album, “Sour,” releasing “Guts” on Sept. 8, 2023, which was led by the building ballad, “Vampire.”

Olivia Rodrigo kicked off her Guts World Tour at Acrisure...

To support the album, Rodrigo graduated from 3,000-7,000-capacity theaters to 10,000-seat arenas on the Guts World Tour in 2024. She kicked off the jaunt with a sold-out show at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on Friday, Feb. 23, not far from where she grew up in Temecula and Murrieta. She even shouted out her “Riverside County sisters!”

“Welcome to the first (expletive) night of the Guts Tour,” Rodrigo told the crowd. “I want you to jump, I want you to scream, I want you to cry if you feel like crying. I’m so happy you’re here.”

She started the night with “Bad Idea Right?” off the latest record, pumping up her loyal devotees and letting them pose the question “It’s a bad idea, right?” as she pointed the mic out to the audience.

It’s been less than two years since Rodrigo’s impressive Sour Tour run, but a lot has changed for her stage show. Of course, things have gotten bigger. She now has a strong brood of backup dancers, continues to surround herself with a badass live band and the production has increased substantially.

The visuals on a giant screen behind the band played well into set, offering some fun moments that included a scrapbook-style montage of live footage of Rodrigo and the band during “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl.” She also rode around the arena on a giant crescent moon for the live debut of the song “Logical” and “Enough for You,” giving the fans at the back of the venue a closer peek at one of her sweet, high waisted sparkly briefs and matching bra top outfits. She’s also added numerous wardrobe changes into this tour.

The stage has grown, too, and Rodrigo knows how to use it with confidence.

She ran up and down every inch of the split catwalk that ran alongside both sides of the venue, leaving room for a smaller v-shaped pit that was filled with fans who never stopped jumping and screaming throughout the entire show. She rocked out through “Jealousy, Jealousy” and made her way down to the barrier where she spent just a few moments with fans who were cheering and grabbing at her as she inched closer.

She brought out her guitarist, Daisy Spencer, to sit down on the opposite side of the stage with her to sing two acoustic songs: “Happier” and “Favorite Crime,” allowing her vocals to soar and they floated through the arena beautifully.

Rodrigo also live debuted a “Guts” hidden track, “Obsessed,” which absolutely ripped live. She jammed it out and rolled around atop a see-through portion of the stage that had a camera fixed underneath it. The footage was cast upon the giant screen behind the band and it was a lot of fun to watch that footage along with the chaos of the song and the band thrashing through it.

She closed the show with an old song and a new song. The encore hit hard with her single “Good 4 U,” which had just about everyone on their feet, singing along. She wrapped up the first night of the Guts World Tour with “Get Him Back!” A cleverly written tune that’s not so much about taking back a loser lover, but seeking sweet, sweet revenge.

The Guts World Tour concludes with four sold-out nights at Kia Forum in Inglewood on Aug.13-14 and 16-17.

Olivia Rodrigo Announces Guts World Tour with Many Special Guests

by Patrick Hosken September 13, 2023, 10:20 am

It’s been a great week for Olivia Rodrigo . And it’s getting even better. The 20-year-old artist just announced a 57-date global tour in support of her second album, GUTS , that spans the U.S., Canada, Ireland, the U.K., Belgium, Denmark, and more.

Videos by American Songwriter

The Guts World Tour kicks off in Palm Springs on February 23, 2024 and runs until August 14, when it finishes back in Los Angeles. Because she’s truly having a moment, Rodrigo is bringing some seriously special guests along with her as well.

[RELATED: Olivia Rodrigo Brings Her Music Videos to Life at the VMAs]

Iconic 1990s alternative rock group The Breeders will be accompanying her on select dates, as will Chappell Roan, PinkPantheress, and Remi Wolf. Tickets for the Guts World Tour officially go on sale Wednesday, September 20 and Thursday, September 21 — but fans are being asked to register ahead of time. That registration is open until Sunday, September 17 at 10 p.m.

Rodrigo’s GUTS album is already making waves, spawning the singles “Bad Idea Right?,” “Vampire,” and “Get Him Back!” She performed the latter two at the MTV VMAs on September 12, turning a seemingly malfunctioning stage setup into a blank canvas on which an army of Rodrigo clones helped her deliver a vision.

Ahead of the awards show, Rodrigo garnered six nominations and ended up walking away with one Moon Person trophy for Best Editing.

She’s also been chatting about the making of the album, including mentioning how Rage Against the Machine were a huge influence on its heavy sound. “I have been listening to so much Rage Against the Machine this year. That’s my favorite band right now,” she said in a recent interview. “I would just play it over and over again on my way to and from the studio.” Babes in Toyland, another ’90s act, were name-dropped as well, and The Breeders fit very well in that conversation as well. It’ll be neat hearing “ Cannonball ” on the same stage as “ All-American Bitch .”

Rodrigo’s also been getting some tips from industry staples like Katy Perry and St. Vincent. Obviously, every bit of advice helps. But Rodrigo’s also poised to simply keep getting bigger.

Olivia Rodrigo's 'GUTS' World Tour bus will be making stops in different cities.

Everything You Need To Know About Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour Bus

Livies, there’s even a chance to win tickets to the show.

Olivia Rodrigo is taking her GUTS World Tour on the road, and bringing along a ‘90s teenage dream bus with her. Along with a merch truck filled with butterfly totes and tees, Livies HQ announced there will be a GUTS World Tour Bus Experience parked outside the venue at each show for fans to visit.

The GUTS World Tour Bus, similar to the SOUR tour experience , is an Insta-worthy and immersive pop-up with photo ops inspired by Rodrigo’s second album. According to Broadway World , the first 1,000 fans who stop by the purple bus will also get a $10 Starbucks gift card to try the brand’s new lavender drinks .

In addition to freebies and photos, Livies can try out Rodrigo’s limited-edition violet LinkBuds S earbuds from Sony before buying them. If you’re an American Express Card Member, the GUTS World Tour Bus also has exclusive merch, as well as an Olivia Rodrigo x Amex trading card set.

Even if you don’t have tickets to the GUTS tour, you can stop by the bus experience. Admission is free, and fans will have a chance to enter a giveaway that includes tickets to the show. Of course, you have to get there early. Clara Pullam from Arkansas visited the GUTS World Tour Bus Experience before her show in Nashville, Tennessee, and had to wait around two to three hours.

I would recommend you get there earlier.

“I would recommend you get there earlier — about an hour before it opens — because after that, the bus line became pretty crowded,” Pullam tells Elite Daily. Anyone wanting to buy merch and visit the GUTS bus will have to really prep before their show, but Pullam says the experience is so worth it. “The experience was super cool.”

Along with planning when to arrive, here’s everything you need to know about Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour Bus experience:

Fans share their experience at Olivia Rodrigo's 'GUTS' tour bus experience.

The GUTS Bus Has More Than Just Photo Ops

The 'GUTS' World Tour bus has '90s details.

While snapping a pic with the red lip phone like Rodrigo was a highlight for Pullam, she says there’s way more than just photo ops at the GUTS bus. “One of my favorite things from the bus was we got to see her past tour outfits, and I am in love with her Vivienne Westwood look from SOUR ,” she says.

While waiting in line, Pullam also got to send postcards to her friends, and says the bus included photo moments from Rodrigo’s “bad idea right?” music video . Fans will also get to snap pics with a crescent moon that looks like the one Rodrigo rides around on during her set , and a glitter-filled toilet. One of the cutest details are the vintage VHS tapes on the shelf inspired by songs off Rodrigo’s GUTS album, like “Making the Bed” as She’s All That and “All-American B*tch” as Scarface.

It was super amazing to know she experienced what we experienced.

After you go through the bus and purchase merch, you also have the opportunity to bedazzle it at a styling station . Turn your tee into something retro chic if “pretty isn’t pretty enough” for you. The best part of all is that Rodrigo has gone through the bus as well. Pullam says, “It was super amazing to know she experienced what we experienced,” and you can even take your pics just like your fave homeschooled girl.

The GUTS Tour Bus Is Making Stops Along The U.S.

The 'GUTS' World Tour Bus Experience is making stops in different cities at the concert venue.

The GUTS bus made its first stop at Rodrigo’s show in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 8, and has followed along with the tour since. While Rodrigo’s site doesn’t list exactly where the GUTS experience will be, the bus is expected to appear at tour venues and local points of interest as she makes her way across the U.S.

You can also check out your tour stop’s page to find out bus information or follow her official fan account Livies HQ on Instagram.

An Ode to Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts Tour Tank Tops

At her sold-out shows, the pop sensation has been giving the staple a twist the way only she can

Every product on this page was chosen by a Harper's BAZAAR editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy.

Of course, Rodrigo didn’t exactly grow up with the Sex and the City generation. In fact, the Grammy-winning pop hit machine celebrated her first birthday a mere two days before the HBO series’ final episode aired. But it seems that in early adulthood, she has found comfort in the hilarious, brash, and often messy lives of its four protagonists. (Oh, and like this author, Rodrigo identifies as a Carrie .)

So what better way to share that than with a personalized top that serves as a billboard for the thousands of fans who’ve been packing stadiums across the country to see her (as well as the countless more viewing clips online)? As a way to reference her favorite pieces of pop culture and project jokes and more to the audience, Rodrigo’s tank tops have become one of the most winning aspects of her Guts World Tour .

As with the SATC tank she wore for her Big Apple audience, the singer has used her tops to spotlight culture from the turn of the millennium, a time period that has interested her since the beginning of her career. Longtime fans will recall when Rodrigo celebrated the 2021 release of her debut album, Sour , with a live, prom-themed set on YouTube, and the promotional art winked to the cover of Hole’s Live Through This . Then there was the “Good 4 U” video , for which Rodrigo donned a cheerleading uniform identical to Mandy Moore’s from The Princess Diaries (2001).

As the Guts tour rages on, such nods have only become been more plentiful and expansive, encompassing everything from TLC’s “No Scrubs” to the Beatles’ “I’m Down.” At her first show in Palm Springs, the Disney alum rocked a tank that said, “I’m Just a Girl,” in homage to No Doubt’s 1995 hit debut single. Fittingly, a little over a month later, the pop star took a break from her tour to join No Doubt onstage at Coachella , where she wore another tank—one bedazzled with “I ❤️ ND.”

2024 coachella valley music and arts festival weekend 1 day 2

With these winks, it doesn’t feel like the “Vampire” artist is simply trying to appeal to the generations before her (and they don’t reek of “born in the wrong era” Tumblrcore either). Instead, the nods speak to the genuine approach Rodrigo takes to making her music. Throughout her shows, she has brought out ’90s–’00s stars like Jewel and Sheryl Crow, arguably surprising guests for a singer of her age, whose fan base pools in the tween-to-teen age bracket. But an obvious thread connects the work of these icons and the new hitmaker: Rodrigo simply wants to extend her appreciation to the greats who’ve inspired her confessional songwriting, and her tank tops have become her newest outlet for doing so.

At the same time, the tanks also perfectly capture Rodrigo’s cheeky sense of humor. Tracks like “All-American Bitch” and “Bad Idea Right?” explore themes of feminism and sexuality with dry humor and impressive depth. Onstage, she’s brought this same sauciness to her tanks.

At one performance, “ Ne pas toucher ” was splashed across Rodrigo’s chest. (That’s French for “Do not touch.”) At another, her shirt said: “I kiss better than I cook.” With plenty of songs about disappointing men in her discography, Rodrigo obviously knows what it’s like to date a dud, and one of her tops—hearkening back to Britney Spears’s memorable ’02 baby tee —simply instructed her fans to “Dump him.”

Even Rodrigo’s friends have been getting in on the fun, like fellow singer and Gen Z star Conan Gray, who featured on the star’s Instagram in a tank that said: “U call urself a Livie? Name 10 Olivia Rodriguez songs …” (a reference to this viral TikTok ).

I honestly can’t think of a better garment to become the Rodrigo staple than the tank top—at least for right now. It’s understated, playful, and reliable. Like her discography, Rodrigo’s style isn’t afraid to embrace her youth and her passions. With a fusion of Clueless schoolgirl prep and early-’00s Avril Lavigne punk , the singer-songwriter dresses like an actual 21-year-old—a stylish one who wears vintage Versace on the red carpet , mind you , but still, one who knows who she is and what she wants. Only time will tell how Rodrigo’s style continues to evolve with her career. For now, as the tank declares: She’s just a girl.

The Spinoff

One Question Quiz

Pop Culture April 23, 2024

Is olivia rodrigo about to announce a new zealand show an investigation.

avatar

  • Share Story

The ‘Vampire’ singer has never visited our part of the world, but that might all be about to change. We assess the evidence.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour is pulling in massive crowds as it whips around the US and Europe, even helping to catapult regular supporting act Chappell Roan to abrupt stardom. But so far, there has been no suggestion the Grammy Award winner will ever make it to New Zealand.

That may all be about to change. The Spinoff has received information (seen a TikTok, then done some Googling) that the ‘Driver’s License’ singer could finally be winging her way to the Southern Hemisphere. If true, New Zealand audiences would be able to see the concert that has been clogging up many a TikTok feed since February.

An appearance by Rodrigo on our shores would undoubtedly be one of the hottest tickets of the year. Sza recently sold out three Spark Arena shows, while Coldplay and Pink have taken over Eden Park. The Taylor Swift phenomenon injected millions into the Australian economy, while draining hundreds from fans’ (including mine) bank accounts, when her Eras Tour landed in Melbourne and Sydney two months ago.

Back to Sza, days before Live Nation announced her tour, an article appeared  in print  by the NZ Herald announcing the tour. The article wasn’t published online (strange and unusual) and at the time, there was no evidence of a Sza visit to NZ. Was it a case of accidentally breaking an embargo? Probably. But then a tour  was  announced shortly after. Perhaps it was a deliberate leak to stir up attention. Maybe this little investigation is just repeating the cycle.

But why do we believe Rodrigo is about to drop New Zealand dates? Let’s assess what we know.

The evidence

This TikTok video . A TikTok user shows what happened when they Googled “Olivia Rodrigo NZ”. It brings up a link to Live Nation’s New Zealand website advertising a Guts World Tour date for October 19 at Spark Arena. “Was this always here or am I tripping?” asks the TikTok user. I firmly believe they are not tripping.

The Live Nation website. When I Googled the same, I did not see a date displayed. However, the link was still the top result. It now takes you to a 404 error page. But if you look in the URL, it contains the crucial information: “auckland/2024-10-19”.How do Americans, of which Rodrigo is one, write their dates? With the month first, then the date. October 19, 2024.

world tour olivia rodrigo guts

There is a waitlist. At 7am, the top result on Google was still a page for the Guts World Tour. Now, it’s a Live Nation waitlist asking: “Do you want to be the first to know when Olivia Rodrigo is touring New Zealand?” Waitlists can be just a way to farm email addresses. But it could also be a sign that something is coming.

The tour name. The tour is called the Guts “World Tour”. The world, famously, includes New Zealand (even if many maps do not acknowledge this “fact” ).

WAIT WHAT IS THIS TIKTOK SHOWING ME THAT OLIVIA RODRIGO IS COMING TO NZ????? — j (@gameovermydude) April 22, 2024

Rodrigo promised she’d come to Australia this year. Rodrigo was set to visit Australia for a promotional visit last year. That was cancelled, but fans of the singer were told that she’d be heading down “in 2024” . It is now “2024” and Australia is very close to New Zealand.

Rodrigo really loves Glassons. In 2021, Stuff reported that Rodrigo had been snapped wearing a corset from Glassons. The New Zealand brand has begun to extend itself into other markets, including the US, catching the singer’s attention. If Rodrigo visits New Zealand this year, she could pop out to Westfield St Luke’s (walking distance from Eden Park) and visit a Glassons store.

Olivia Rodrigo transposed over a photo of Glassons

Taylor Swift’s album dropped last week. There are rumours that Rodrigo and Swift are in some sort of celebrity feud. What better way to take attention away from the world’s biggest pop star than to announce your own concerts in New Zealand? Then there is the connection between one of Rodrigo’s biggest hits ‘Get Him Back’ and Swift’s new B-side ‘I’mgonnagetyouback’. Perhaps Rodrigo wants to Get Her Back by touring in a country that was snubbed by Swift?

The Guts “World Tour” is currently set to end in August. August is two months before October, meaning there’s a big wide gap in her schedule that coincides with the rumoured dates. That would give the singer time to relax, recover and then pop down under. It is well-established that pop stars like about two months in between tour legs.

What do the tour promoters say?

The Spinoff asked Live Nation for comment earlier this morning. We haven’t yet heard back. That in itself is suspicious. If this wasn’t true, would they not instantly dismiss it in order to prevent us from publishing our dossier of evidence (see: above)? Or have we fallen into their free publicity trap as obvious as Taylor Swift on an e-scooter ?
