Frustration
Frustration nowadays / winds of change 7″.
An exciting French post-punk band that describes themselves as “WARSAW meets WIRE meets the FALL,” and that couldn’t be more true of a statement. “Nowadays” opens up the party with an over-the-top energetic performance and a show of top-notch post-punk. The other side of the 7″ is a cover of BRUCE JOYNER AND THE PLANTATIONS’ 1983 song “Winds Of Change”. Weird, unhinged, and unapologetic.

Frustration So Cold Streams LP
Legendary French post-punk group FRUSTRATION returns with their first LP since 2016. Keeping in tune with a sound the band has cultivated over two decades, this record is a dissonant, dark, and synth-based take on post-punk. Imagine SUICIDE meets JOY DIVISION mixed with elements of LCD SOUNDSYSTEM. These tracks take their time, building and falling with a lot of grace and dynamics. There are moments of quiet bliss mixed with moments of unrestrained chaos. A track like “Brume” brings a real industrial or almost No Wave sound in the vein of Filth -era SWANS. Those No Wave moments give the record a really abrasive and caustic feel. A unique and interesting release in the FRUSTRATION discography, definitely worth checking out, at least for the die hard post-punk fans.

The Oasis 2025 Tour Tickets Controversy: What Happened and Will Extra Dates Be Added?
A fter breaking up 15 years ago, iconic rock band Oasis announced on Aug. 27 that they would be reuniting for a U.K. and Ireland tour in 2025. The news that formerly feuding brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will once again share the stage has been met with enthusiasm—but not without controversy.
The announcement of the tour resulted in an "unprecedented demand" for tickets, leading the band to add even more U.K. and Ireland dates. Still, the quest for tickets via Ticketmaster has been marred with frustration over technological issues, pricing, and touts.
Here’s a breakdown of the Oasis ticketing controversy and where things currently stand.
Issues with Ticketmaster
On Friday, Aug. 30, fans who had been selected in the pre-sale ballot waited in a queue on Ticketmaster—which dominates concert and sporting tickets around the world—ahead of the three-hour window for pre-sale purchases. On X (formerly Twitter), many fans complained about technical difficulties preventing them from accessing tickets. Some people got locked out of their Ticketmaster accounts , or were virtually queuing behind tens of thousands of people, only to be kicked out of the Ticketmaster queue or to receive an error notification once they finally reach the checkout stage of the ticket-buying process.
When the tickets went on general sale on Saturday, Aug. 31, fans complained of the same issues.

Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, widely known to be a long-time Oasis fan, even entered the conversation. While attending the Italian Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon, he shared that he had been in the queue for reunion tour tickets , but was unlucky and hadn’t received a (pre-sale ballot) code.
In addition to the queuing and technical problems, there’s also been backlash about the prices. Within an hour of the pre-sale, tickets appeared on re-selling sites for triple the face value.
Oasis spoke out on X about the controversy and prices, telling fans that tickets can only be re-sold at face value via certain websites. “Tickets appearing on other secondary ticketing sites are either counterfeit or will be cancelled by the promoters,” the post read.
Yet, the controversy is also connected to Ticketmaster’s own price raising, since during the sale, they upped their own prices for “in-demand” tickets. As fans finally entered the ticket-selection portion of the website, they found out that tickets that were originally £148 ($194) were being sold at £355 ($466) . Ticketmaster introduced this “ in-demand” dynamic pricing system in 2022 , which allows their prices to inflate according to the market demand.
Fans referred to the raised ticket prices as " problematic ," with some comparing Ticketmaster to touts.
"In demand standing ticket" is just a standard standing ticket except double the price. No difference between Ticketmaster and touts. #OasisDublin pic.twitter.com/IcfX715wEJ — Darragh Moriarty (@darragh_mor) August 31, 2024
"As anticipated, millions of fans accessed our site and were placed in a queue, which moved along as they bought tickets,”a Ticketmaster spokesperson told TIME in an email. “We always advise fans to hold their place in line, make sure they're only using one tab, clear cookies, and ensure they aren't using any VPN software on their device.”
They added: “To clarify, Ticketmaster does not set ticket prices.” On its website, Ticketmaster states: “Promoters and artists set ticket prices. Prices can be either fixed or market-based. Market-based tickets are labeled as ‘Platinum’ or ‘In Demand.’”
This is not the first time Ticketmaster has been at the heart of controversy over their ticket system. During the sale for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, the company came under fire after fans waited in a queue for hours during pre-sale, just for the website to glitch at the last moment, with Ticketmaster eventually canceling the general sale.
Are Oasis adding extra shows to the 2025 U.K. and Ireland tour?
Due to the difficulties and demand for tickets, many fans called for Oasis to add more tour dates to their 2025 tour in the U.K. and Ireland. The request for more dates come after Oasis already added an additional three extra shows in the U.K. ahead of the tickets going on sale.
In light of the public demand, on Sept. 4, Oasis announced two extra tour dates at Wembley Stadium, London, set to take place in September 2025. In a post shared on X, the group said: "Tickets will be sold by a staggered, invitation-only ballot process. Applications to join the ballot will be opened first to the many U.K. fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on sale with Ticketmaster."

TIME has reached out to Oasis’ representatives for comment.
How are government officials in the U.K. and Ireland responding to the rising complaints?
Government officials in the U.K. and Ireland have spoken out amid rising complaints from disgruntled Oasis fans. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke on BBC’s Radio 5 Live show , stating the government will address the issue of dynamic pricing—the name given to the pricing system that raises costs by demand.
“This is really important, because this isn’t just an Oasis problem. This is a problem for tickets for all sorts of events, where people go online straight away, as soon as they can, and within seconds sometimes, sometimes minutes, all the tickets are gone, and the prices start going through the roof, which means many people can’t afford it,” Starmer said. “We have to stop that. We’re consulting on that. I do think there are a number of things that we can do, and we should do.”
Meanwhile, Lucy Powell, the Leader of the House of Commons, also went on the show, and in discussing the dynamic pricing concept, said she was upset to see “inflated prices excluding ordinary fans.” She went on to say that the government plans to investigate “issues around the transparency and use of dynamic pricing, including the technology around queuing systems which incentivise it.”
The conversation is prevalent in Ireland, also, as Tánaiste Micheál Martin, the Deputy Prime Minister, has spoken out about the debacle to Irish news outlet RTÉ . He said there could be a role for the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) to investigate it. He went on to say he hoped those behind the ticket sales would “reflect” on the issues present.
“I do think we need a strong reflection on this runaway inflation in costs,” Martin said. “Clearly it was beyond the reach of many, many people to purchase or to be in a position to afford to get to a concert given the acceleration of price increases around the tickets.”

Will the Oasis tour come to the U.S.? How the band hinted at playing shows in the states
The high demand for oasis tickets resulted in website crashes, a surge in ticket prices and frustration from fans.
By Margaret Darby
U.S. Oasis fans, the reunion tour might not be half the world away for much longer — the Gallagher brothers may bring their tour across the Atlantic.
On Tuesday, Oasis teased U.S. fans with a photo of a Time Square billboard that reads : “If we need to put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the States, here it is.”
The official Oasis Instagram page posted the picture with a side-eye emoji.

Plans for the band to come to the U.S. have not been announced, but they did reveal last week that “plans are underway for OASIS LIVE ‘25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year,” per Billboard .
After the Oasis U.K. tour dates sold out, a representative for the band said that “anticipation for details of the tour’s international dates is now rapidly mounting,” per Billboard .
Oasis faces backlash for high-priced tickets
Every date the band announced during its 2025 tour has sold out, per Reuters . Fans anticipated tickets to sell out in the blink of an eye — but it was actually 10 hours before every ticket was claimed.
The oversaturated demand for Oasis tickets resulted in website crashes and a surge in ticket prices.
“As anticipated, millions of fans are accessing our site so have been placed in a queue. Fans are advised to hold their place in line, make sure they’re only using one tab, clear cookies, and ensure they aren’t using any VPN software on their device,” Ticketmaster said in a statement as frustrated fans waited in online queues for hours to get tickets.
A surge in ticket prices was a point of annoyance from fans. Tickets were initially advertised as costing £135 each, but surged to £355, due to “dynamic pricing,” a system in which ticket prices rise with demand, per BBC .
“That feeling when you wait in a queue for four hours only to be told the price of the ticket has risen from £148 to... £355??? Because they’re ‘in demand’. How is this not illegal?,” a fan wrote on X .
Another commented: “It’s disgraceful to see standing tickets priced at £355.20—pure exploitation. They should be ashamed, turning fan excitement into a money grab. This greed is ruining what should be a joyful experience,” per X .
Ticketmaster denies raising the cost of tickets and claims, “promoters and artists set ticket prices,” per the Ticketmaster site .
Just hours after the Oasis tickets sold out, resale prices skyrocketed to more than £7,000 a piece. For example, a single standing ticket to see Oasis in Cardiff is listed at £4,519 on StubHub . If you want a seat in the lower bowl at Wembley Stadium, it will cost you £7,223 on StubHub .
Can the Gallagher brothers make it through tour without a fight?
U.K. fans are praying the Gallagher brothers can make it through their 17-date tour without imploding. The Oasis frontmen have a history of bitter fights — sometimes mid-show — that result in ending tours prematurely.
Fans: “I can’t wait for the Oasis reunion!” The Gallaghers after two minutes on stage together: pic.twitter.com/XKli5vK3CV — chris🧼 (@bleachy_chris) August 27, 2024
At a 1994 show in Los Angeles, an onstage squabble ended with Liam hitting Noel over the head with a tambourine and Noel storming off stage, per Variety . Fans hope history won’t repeat itself.
“I cannot stress this enough- this is the first and only time that you should pay the $47 for event insurance,” one fan tweeted about the tour .
“The execution of the plan failed to meet expectations.” Oasis add two more Wembley Stadium shows to reunion tour following fans outrage at unexpected 'dynamic pricing' hikes for tickets
Oasis add two September Wembley Stadium shows to their 2025 reformation tour
Due to “phenomenal demand”, and quite possibly due to the howls of outrage, frustration and disappointment which followed in the wake of Saturday's chaotic roll-out of tickets , Oasis have added two further shows at London's Wembley Stadium in September.
Given the gaps in the schedule for their previously-announced 17-date tour of the UK and Ireland it was always expected that Noel and Liam Gallagher would add further shows to their hotly-anticipated reunion tour. However, there is a cap on how many shows Wembley Stadium can host during the summer months.
Now, revealing that that over 10million fans from 158 countries attempted to purchase tickets for the shows at the weekend, the band and the tour promoters have acknowledged that the interest left “all ticket platforms struggling to cope, resulting in immense frustration and disappointment for fans who missed out after queuing for many hours.” The brothers are now offering “a small step towards making amends for the situation” with “a special invitation-only ballot ticket sale strategy” for additional Wembley gigs on September 27 and September 28. A statement says that “Applications to join the ballot will be opened first to the many fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on sale with Ticketmaster.”
It continues: “Inevitably interest in this tour is so overwhelming that it’s impossible to schedule enough shows to fulfil public demand. But this ticket sale strategy will make the process far smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to obtain one of the hottest tickets of our time.” Responding to fan fury over Ticketmaster's 'dynamic ticketing' policy, which saw those fortunate enough to get to the head of the website queues being forced to decide whether they wanted to pay three or four times the price for tickets they hoped to purchase, the statement from the band says: “It needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used.
“While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band’s management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations. All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve.”
Tickets to the new shows are to be made available via a staggered invite-only ballot, with details to follow.

Oasis ticket sale prompts U.K. government scrutiny of Ticketmaster’s ‘dynamic pricing’
The U.K. government is scrutinizing Ticketmaster as Oasis fans look back in anger at the difficult process trying to secure tickets for the band’s reunion tour, specifically that Ticketmaster was selling tickets at roughly twice the price of the original face value.
Tickets went on general sale for the band’s reconciliation tour in Ireland and the U.K. on Saturday morning and advertised to max out at about £150. But Ticketmaster’s “dynamic” pricing had some tickets selling for more than £400.
By the time fans were able to get out of the Ticketmaster virtual queue to buy tickets, the dynamic priced tickets were all that was available.
Some fans replied in frustration to the band’s social media posts warning against buying tickets on unauthorized resale sites, asking whether the band was doing to address Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing.”
“But it’s ok for ticketmaster themselves to sell them for 3x face value due to being in demand,” one X user wrote. “There holding back tickets to charge 2x the amount. Scandal.”
U.K. culture minister Lisa Nandy said Monday that it was “depressing to see vastly inflated prices” which priced many fans out of seeing the band. Parliament was already set to look into the issue of resale ticketing.
“This Government is committed to putting fans back at the heart of music,” Nandy said. “So we will include issues around the transparency and use of dynamic pricing, including the technology around queuing systems which incentivise it, in our forthcoming consultation on consumer protections for ticket resales.”
Ticketmaster’s website explains that its “platinum” ticket types are standard tickets that are “dynamically” priced based on supply and demand. It also says that it does not determine the ticket prices, which are set by the event organizers.
“Platinum” tickets do not come with any extra perks for the added price, unlike VIP packages which might come with a performer’s merchandise or access to shorter lines. The company did not immediately respond to an NBC News request for comment.
Lucy Powell, a member of Parliament who represents the band’s hometown of Manchester, told BBC Radio Live 5 that she was among those Oasis fans who paid for dynamically priced tickets. She said she did not “particularly like” surge pricing, but that it’s how the market operates.
Oasis has warned fans against buying on resale websites, cracking down on scalpers by only allowing resale at the face value prices.
The band said on social media that promoters will cancel any tickets sold outside of Ticketmaster’s own resale option or Twickets, the ticket resale site it’s partnering with. Twickets is also cutting its own service fees as a gesture to Oasis fans.
Ticketmaster has faced scrutiny in the U.S. as well, particularly after a disastrous sale for Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” in 2022 . It prompted a Senate Judiciary Committee last year , in which senators criticized the company for having a monopoly over ticket sales.
The Justice Department filed suit against the site and its parent company, Live Nation, earlier this year.
The suit alleges that the company has hurt consumers and violated antitrust laws by exercising outsize control over the live events industry. Live Nation said that the Justice Department’s allegations were “baseless” and that its actions would prove counterproductive.

Oasis have announced two more dates for their reunion tour next year after 'unprecedented demand' for tickets.
The UK and Ireland tour will see Liam and Noel Gallagher performing together again for the first time in 16 years. More than 10m fans tried to buy tickets for the 17 gigs that went on sale on Saturday (August 31) which include five nights at Manchester's Heaton Park .
Ticket platforms struggled to cope with fans left frustrated after hours of waiting as websites 'crashed' and many found that ticket prices had more than doubled. In a statement, the Manchester band has acknowledged the 'immense frustration' and 'disappointment'.

Announcing two more shows at Wembley Stadium in September, the band has promised to 'make amends' for the situation by changing the way tickets will be sold. A 'special invitation only ballot' will open with fans who missed out on tickets first in line.
In a statement, the band said: "Inevitably interest in this tour is so overwhelming that it’s impossible to schedule enough shows to fulfil public demand. But this ticket sale strategy will make the process far smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to obtain one of the hottest tickets of our time."
The band explained that applications to join the ballot will be opened first to fans who were unsuccessful in the initial sale with Ticketmaster. Oasis has not said if and when customers using See Tickets or GigsandTours will be entered into the special ballot.
The two new dates at Wembley Stadium are September 27 and 28.

Go Let It Out! Oasis fans vent their frustration on social media after being kicked out of queues for reunion tour tickets

Furious Oasis fans have taken to social media to vent their anger after they were kicked out of the mammoth queues for reunion tour tickets.
Thousands were left devastated after they failed to grab tickets in yesterday's general sale - with the band confirming all 17 of their shows had been sold out by 7pm.
But many blamed technical issues on Ticketmaster for their failures as they were forced into a queue just to join the waiting room, while others reported getting kicked out of the website as they got to the front having waited in the virtual line for several hours.
Some hopefuls also reported being 'suspended' by the ticket seller after it accused them of being 'bots'.
One teary-eyed fan posted a TikTok last night with the caption: 'A massive f*** off to all the people that will be watching oasis next year because some of us got accused of being robots and got suspended.'
One teary-eyed fan posted a TikTok last night d getting kicked out of the ticket selling website as they got to the front having waited in the virtual line for several hours
Another suggested she was a fool for waiting in the queues for so long, posting a TikTok in clown makeup
In a video posted on TikTok , one unlucky fan wept as she said: 'Seven hours I queued for the tickets on two devices and they both said "Oh, due to inactivity we cant process your order".'
Another suggested she was a fool for waiting in the queues for so long, posting a TikTok in clown makeup with the caption: 'POV: You thought you'd be able to get oasis tickets if you stayed in the queue long enough...'
Bookmakers put the odds of landing one of the 1.4million tickets at just 14/1 and 97 per cent of applicants have been left ticketless after yesterday's chaotic sale.
Oasis 'has a plan to make it up to devastated fans' after Ticketmaster fiasco
But the general sale, which followed a limited pre-release sale on Friday, was labelled a 'utter fiasco' by fans - as many were unable to access the websites of Ticketmaster, Gigs and Tours or SeeTickets.
In another video posted on TikTok, one unfortunate fan wept as she said: 'Seven hours I queued for the tickets on two devices and they both said "Oh, due to inactivity we cant process your order".'
Her devastation quickly turned to anger as she pointed at the camera and said: 'Now I wish they break up again.'
Standing tickets were originally listed from £151.25, and seated from £74.25 in London - but apparent screenshots from the Ticketmaster website offering In Demand standing tickets for 415.50 euros each, plus fees, equivalent to around £350.
Fans called for the boycott of Viagogo as greedy resellers began trying to flog reunion tour tickets for almost £7000.
Similarly on Friday evening, Oasis tickets for Wembley Stadium were listed on Viagogo for up to £5,909 while some tickets at the London venue, listed under 'Hospitality Club', were on sale for £10,578 on StubHub.
The first batch of tickets went on sale yesterday at 7pm for those lucky enough to get a pre-sale code.
But within minutes of the sale going live, tickets were being resold for up to £10,000 by greedy touts.
Noel and Liam Gallagher, pictured here in 2008, have reunited after 15 years apart
Noel and Liam Gallagher proved they had buried the hatchet on their 15-year feud as they met up this summer to pose for a photo together to mark the Oasis comeback tour
While the band assured measures to avoid resales of the tickets above face value, fans have criticised ticket selling websites over the pricing of their 'in demand' tickets online
Oasis soon assured on social media that tickets 'can only be resold at face value via Ticketmaster and Twickets'.
'Tickets appearing on other secondary ticketing sites are either counterfeit or will be cancelled by the promoters.'
The Britpop band, who split nearly 15 years ago and released their chart-topping album Definitely Maybe around three decades ago, announced the series of dates will kick off at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.
Noel, 57, quit the Manchester rock group on August 28 2009, saying he 'simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer'.
Fans have been pleading with the brothers to regroup since they disbanded, prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
Reunion rumours have intensified recently after the brothers teased an announcement for 8am on Tuesday, amid reports they were ending their disagreement.
Confirming the Oasis Live 25 tour, they said: 'The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.'
The 17-date tour runs from July 4 to August 17, kicking off at Cardiff's Principality Stadium before heading to Manchester's Heaton Park, Wembley Stadium in London, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin.

A popular British band has cancelled its Australian tour just hours before they were due to go onstage in Sydney.
Catfish and The Bottlemen cancelled the remainder of their Australian leg with just hours to spare, disappointing thousands of fans in the process.
It came just days after the group cancelled their gig in Dublin, Ireland, last Sunday with just 10 minutes before they were due to hit the stage.
A statement from LiveNation says the band were forced to cancel the remainder of their Australian shows “on doctors orders”.
“Catfish and The Bottlemen want to thank the fans for their support,” a statement sent to ticket holders from Frontier Touring said.
“This weekend they were hoping to still be able to perform but on doctor’s orders, they were forced to cancel their show in Dublin.
“Due to band illness, the Australian dates this month will also no longer be going ahead.
“The band were really looking forward to these shows and sincerely apologise to everyone for any inconvenience and disappointment. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
It seems like US fans of the band are also set for disappointment, with some US starting to receive notifications informing them their shows starting in October have also been axed – suggesting an abrupt end to the band’s comeback tour.
Catfish and The Bottlemen formed in 2007 but didn’t fully break out until 2013 with the release of their first single, Homesick .
Following the release of three albums, the group announced a hiatus in 2021 after
guitarist Johnny Bond claimed the band was “dysfunctional”.

Oasis hit out at 'dynamic pricing' amid backlash over reunion tour tickets chaos - as new Wembley dates added
Oasis acknowledged the frustration and anger of millions of fans who joined a huge scramble for reunion tour tickets - as the band announced new Wembley Stadium dates using a new ticketing plan following chaos over the weekend.
Liam and Noel Gallagher have extended their Live '25 tour to include two more London shows on September 27 and 28, using a new "staggered invitation-only ballot process" with applications to join the ballot opened first to those who were unsuccessful in the initial sale.
The ballot will run using the same system as the pre-order ballot on Friday which featured transparent ticketing prices on Ticketmaster, the PA news agency understands.
It comes days after many fans were shocked by standard tickets for the reunion tour more than doubling from £148 to £355 on Ticketmaster , prompting the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge they will look into the use of dynamic pricing.
Meanwhile, others were left angry and disappointed after being left empty-handed, having waited in an online queue for hours to buy tickets.
It is hoped the new ticket sale strategy will make "the process far smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes" to obtain tickets.
A statement said: "It needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used.
"While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band's management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations.
"All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve."
Oasis made a separate statement on their Instagram story, telling fans that the extra shows in the capital had been added because of "phenomenal demand".
"Tickets will be sold by a staggered, invitation-only ballot process," it said.
"Applications to join the ballot will be opened first to the many UK fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on sale with Ticketmaster."
The band will now play seven concerts at the London stadium, as well as dates in Manchester, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin.
Following a backlash for Oasis over soaring concert pricing, surge pricing based on demand is set to be examined by the European Commission.
The practice of increasing or decreasing prices based on demand has been compared with the way in which airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold.
Ticketmaster has said it does not set concert prices and its website states this is down to the "event organiser" who "has priced these tickets according to their market value".
An acting spokesman for the European Commission confirmed it is working on a "fitness check" of EU consumer law on digital fairness, which it plans to adopt this autumn.
The use of dynamic pricing will be part of this review, the PA news agency understands.
The long-awaited Oasis reunion tour has attracted huge attention from fans because it will see the Manchester-formed Britpop band on stage together for the first time since their major split in 2009.
On August 31, they revealed the general sale tickets for their forthcoming UK and Ireland gigs had sold out in less than a day, but many fans missed out as they battled website issues and being mislabelled as bots.
Following the ticket furore, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received 450 complaints about Ticketmaster adverts for the Oasis gigs.
A spokesman for the UK's regulator of advertising said the complainants argue that the adverts made "misleading claims about availability and pricing".
It is believed the ticket prices for the Oasis gigs were set by promoters including SJM Concerts, MCD and DF Concerts & Events.
Meanwhile, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has said it is "urgently reviewing" the ticketing market and that it is looking forward to working with the Government on the issue.
Representatives for Ticketmaster have been contacted for comment.

Oasis reunion tour: Band say they “at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used”
The band have since responded to the controversy by announcing two extra shows at Wembley, with tickets available via an invitation-only ballot
Oasis have finally spoken out about the controversial dynamic pricing on tickets for their upcoming reunion tour.
- READ MORE: Stand by me: all the players who could be in the Oasis line-up in 2025
The band announced their highly-awaited return last week with a string of UK and Ireland stadium shows scheduled for 2025. Marking their first activity as a band since their final gig and infamous split in 2009 , Liam and Noel Gallagher issued a statement telling fans: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
Initially, Oasis revealed efforts to prevent touts from re-selling tickets at inflated prices by partnering with resale platform Twickets and issuing a statement to say that tickets sold for profit on other sites would cancelled.
However, when tickets finally went on sale on Saturday (August 31), many who made it through the multi-hour-long queues were disappointed to find that they were listed for hugely inflated prices due to “dynamic” pricing (an automatic surge increase due to demand). Some frustrated fans then began resharing an old tweet from Liam in which he called out brother Noel over his own ticket prices .
350 dollars to go and see rkid in USA what a cunt when will it all stop as you were LG x — Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) September 29, 2017
The news has captured the attention of politicians this week, with Keir Starmer saying the issue was “depressing” at today’s (September 4) Prime Minister’s Questions and Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy calling for a review into dynamic pricing and secondary ticket sites.
The European Commission has also said that they would be investigating the issue , following some experts alleging that not warning fans prior to the sale may have been a breach of consumer law .

Now, Oasis have finally responded, saying they were unaware that the ticket prices would increase so drastically.
“It needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used,” they said in a statement today (September 4).
They went on to say: “While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band’s management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations. All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve.”
A press release issued today reveals that 10million fans from 158 countries had attempted to purchase tickets, leaving “all ticket platforms struggling to cope, resulting in immense frustration and disappointment for fans who missed out after queuing for many hours.”
The band have also announced “a small step towards making amends for the situation” with “a special invitation-only ballot ticket sale strategy” for two new Wembley gigs on September 27 and 28.
Tickets to the new dates will be available via a staggered invite-only ballot process, with dates to be announced. Check out the full list of dates below and see Ticketmaster for more information.

Last week, the band shared that plans are “underway” for gigs outside of Europe in 2025, and they currently seem to be teasing the announcement of US dates with billboards across the States. Despite much speculation, they’ve confirmed that they will not be headlining Glastonbury or appearing at any festivals next year.
Fans are currently debating who will be in the line-up of the reformed band . Both Bonehead and Gem Archer are tipped to be playing guitar , and Alan White has teased that he’ll be back behind the drums .

Oasis tickets sell out amid fan frustration over website crashes and huge queues
I takes a look at the mayhem that unfolded as tickets for oasis' reunion gigs went on general sale.
Oasis fans trying to get their hands on tickets to the band’s 2025 reunion tour faced hours long queues on ticketing websites today , which were overwhelmed by massive demand.
General sale tickets for Oasis comeback tour dates in Ireland were released at 8am, while tickets for the UK went live at 9am, and by this evening tickets for all 17 shows had been sold.
Soon after the sale began, some sites crashed, while others introduced queuing systems just to access the websites in order to manage the demand.
Those that were able to access the websites were then faced with more huge queues to buy tickets, and many others were left devastated after being logged out of their accounts when they tried to purchase them.
Many fans were left disappointed after being kicked out of sites which wrongly suspected them of being bots.
Manchester-based promoter SJM Concerts’ website Gigs and Tours, Ticketmaster and See Tickets all told website visitors that they would need to wait for the page to refresh to join a queue.
Gigs and Tours and See Tickets appeared to experience issues from 8.30am, and still did not appear to have come back online at around 3.30pm.
Ticketmaster’s page refreshed after a period to tell hopeful concertgoers that they were in queue, and “when it’s your turn, you will automatically be able to browse events and shop for tickets”.
But a spokeswoman for Ticketmaster denied the website had crashed earlier, and advised customers “to hold their place in line”.
Long-time fan, Scott McLean, 28, tried for tickets to see Oasis in Dublin next year but said he felt frustration and anger after he was kicked out of the Ticketmaster queue.
He said: “I followed their advice, cleared my cookies and cache on my browser and then it kicked me out completely. It just came up to that error screen after I followed their guidance.
“It’s just tickets for a concert after all, but I really wanted to go.”
Euan McCaughey wrote: “Ticketmaster are an absolute disgrace. Get in to buy tickets for oasis at murrayfield. It then says confirming tickets and never gave me any, then punts me out and puts me to the back of the queue.”
Some fans were advised to call a phone number to buy accessible tickets for the Wembley concerts but were unable to get through despite calling thousands of times.
Those who struggle to get accessible tickets for the concerts claimed getting hold of them was an “impossible task”.
Frances Mobbs, from Norfolk, wanted to buy four tickets for her son Nick Mobbs, 41, his carer and two family members, for the concert on July 26.
She sent through supporting documents for the accessible tickets and tried to call repeatedly for two hours when the phone line opened.
“My son has been a fan from day one, like millions of other people, of course, we’re trying to get tickets.
“I know I’m one of thousands and thousands and thousands of people, but there’s one dedicated phone line which is constantly engaged or saying we are unable to complete your call.
“I’ve been calling for two hours, I keep repeating and repeating.
“It’s frustrating, totally and utterly frustrating.”
Others were furious because prices of tickets had doubled on Ticketmaster from around £148 to £335 due to the high demand for them
The website defended the move, saying: “In Demand Tickets are dynamically-priced tickets.
“Based on demand the prices of these tickets may change.
“These tickets are not part of VIP packages – they are tickets only.”
Ticketmaster added it does not set the prices and costs can be “fixed or market-based”.
Oasis also issued a warning about the buying and selling of tickets shortly after they went on sale, telling fans “tickets can only be resold at face value” on Ticketmaster, one of the sites selling them, and ticket resale site Twickets.
They also told how “tickets appearing on other secondary ticketing sites are either counterfeit or will be cancelled by the promoters”.
The Masterpost https://t.co/nozodxHPXR — coolbritania (@coolbritania) August 31, 2024
Following a presale of tickets on Friday night they issued a similar warning, after some were flogged on unauthorised reselling websites for thousands of pounds above their face value.
Lengthy online queues sparked a series of jokes and memes on social media, including one fan who sharing a snap of them in their room as they tried to snag tickets, which resembled the front cover of Oasis’ hit first album Definitely Maybe .
At 7pm this evening the band announced on X, formerly Twitter, that all tickets for their hotly anticipated reunion gigs had sold out.
Those lucky enough to snag tickets were left feeling elated.
Lucy Bacon, a 26-year-old from southwest London, managed to bag a ticket because her friend in Singapore – which is seven hours ahead of the UK – logged onto Ticketmaster before she did and was able to buy her one.

She told i : “I couldn’t even get into Ticketmaster let alone the queue! I was just really lucky basically and am super grateful to my selfless friend in Singapore.”
Ms Bacon and her friends paid £130 for seated tickets to the show in London and she can’t wait for the gig.
She added: “I cried twice already today. I listened to them all through my teenage years and had posters of their album covers on my walls!”
Hotel prices have soared in anticipation of the concerts, which will be held in July and August next year, with some hotel rooms being advertised for four times their normal rate.
Research by JournoFinder found the average cost for a hotel the night of an Oasis concert is £418 – 115% more expensive than an equivalent weekend in June.
Analysis, which examined the average price per night between 27th and 29th June, found prices increased most in Cardiff, where people will have to pay 214% more than normal for a hotel. This is driven by a 419% increase in Airbnb prices and a 347% increase in Premier Inn prices.
The hotel chain with the lowest increase overall was Travelodge, which has increased prices by just 57% on average, with London prices only increasing by 10%.

The statement also found the band distancing itself from Ticketmaster’s “dynamic ticketing” process — which also outraged Bruce Springsteen fans when it was implemented in 2022 — whereby prices rise with demand, often into four or even five-digit figures.

All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve.”

Oasis tickets: Band announce extra 2025 tour dates in London as fans get second chance
Liam and Noel Gallagher are set to play even more dates together as Oasis add more shows following their 17 date UK and Ireland tour selling out
- 17:23, 4 Sep 2024
- Updated 17:33, 4 Sep 2024
Oasis have added even more dates to their 2025 tour - giving fans another chance at securing tickets.
The iconic band are gearing up to make their long awaited comeback next year, having already sold out all 17 of their dates across the UK and Ireland. Liam and Noel Gallagher will reunite on stage once more, marking the first time since 2009. Fans battled queues lasting hours on Saturday to secure tickets, however many were left fuming at glitches and prices almost doubling due to 'dynamic pricing'.
It has sparked a wave of criticism from fans, the music industry and government officials. Oasis are yet to address their ticket controversy as it continues , however have announced more dates to their 2025 tour. They will play at Wembley on September 27th and September 28th.
The Oasis Live ‘25 tour was the biggest concert launch ever seen in the UK and Ireland, with over 10 million fans from 158 countries queuing to buy tickets. However, such intense demand saw all ticket platforms struggling to cope, resulting in immense frustration and disappointment for fans who missed out after queuing for many hours.
On Monday, Oasis teased shows in New York after a huge video billboard from Amazon Music plugged the reunion. Their official account posted a clip of Liam and Noel on a huge billboard alongside a comment that read: "If we need to put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the States, here it is." Oasis added the eyes emoji to the post.
UK were left furious by soaring prices on tickets that were nabbed by resellers leaving many empty-handed. After a predictably unprecedented demand for tickets to the Live '25 shows, many fans are in shock to see some doubled from £148 to £355 on Ticketmaster due to dynamic pricing.
Many fans also missed out on the reunion tour tickets as they battled with website issues - as well as being mislabelled as bots. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has received 450 complaints about Ticketmaster adverts for the Oasis gigs. A spokesperson for the UK’s regulator of advertising said the complainants argue that the adverts made “misleading claims about availability and pricing”.
In 2022, Ticketmaster decided that when there is an increase of demand, a limited supply of tickets are allowed to go up in price. They say the point of the dynamic pricing system is to "give fans fair and safe access to the tickets, while enabling artists and other people involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true market value".
Government officials are poised to scrutinise "dynamic pricing", in the wake of widespread frustration about the "depressing" and sky-high prices for the Oasis tour. A previously announced government consultation on ticket resale websites is set to launch this autumn. Following the scandal, an awkward post from singer Liam has resurfaced. In a tweet on X from 2017, Liam wrote: "350 dollars to go and see rkid in USA what a c*** when will it all stop as you were LG x."
He was hitting out at his brother Noel for the prices on his American tour - which is now the same as the dynamic pricing tickets Oasis fans saw. In response to the resurfaced post, one person said: "Well this is evergreen." Another fumed: "£380 for a "reactively priced" GA when people had spent 3 hours queuing. What sort of c*** would do that? As you were. BA x."
