To be honest, you're never quite sure what you are getting with a packaged tour, been on several and you take the good with the bad. Very happy to say that there was no 'bad' to this one. Great people leading the tour, safety conscious, knowledgeable about our route and general area, and a ton of fun to spend time with. We stayed in really nice hotels, enjoyed fantastic meals out on the road and in the evenings. I enjoyed the down day in Penticton, balcony on the lake and the Saturday market. In total we were a group of ten, seven bikes and a follow van, enjoyed every minute getting to know these folks and sharing the brotherhood and sisterhood of biking. JD requested we bring our "authentic selves", not sure if he knew what he was getting into, but it was great for laughs and he certainly won't forget about baloney sandwiches. Thanks to everybody at FBT for the fantastic vacation. Hope to ride with them again and highly recommend them.

This was an absolutely awesome tour, very well planned out, well executed. I enjoyed the locations for meals, the hotels were great. We were well guided by JD, Carmen, Tim, and up and coming apprentice Johnny. Fully recommend this tour group to anyone considering a motorcycle tour to a new area.

The ride was awesome, beautiful mountains, valleys, lakes and lots of twist and turns. Very well organized, excellent accommodations and meals. I would recommend this tour group to anyone that rides and wants to see our great country on a motorcycle.

Purchased a vacation package and got a tour guide included, the venues and attractions were very good, the scenery was beyond words and pictures, very good time meeting and riding with different people from New Brunswick and Minnesota what a good time had by all, overall a very good time and value. 

We were on the trip through the Canadian Rockies. JD did a wonderful job setting it up and leading the tour. We had an itinerary prior to meeting in Calgary so we knew what to expect. I enjoyed the people in our group and the historical sights were more than I expected. The views were so spectacular I was so amazed. Not just anyone can lead and plan a tour on bikes. JD is perfect for the job.

Welcome to the Cabot Trail Biker Web Site

First off, it’s awesome that you are considering the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia for your motorcycle miles. There are endless places to see on our bikes, and it is pretty damn cool that you’re coming here. Nova Scotia has some features that make it a great place to ride a bike, and I’m going to give you some tips on how to enjoy your trip the best.

First, let’s get to know Nova Scotia, in biker terms. Peak riding season is from May 1st to September 30th, but locals rip around on the good days outside of that. The province (there are 10 provinces in Canada – same deal as a state in the US) is almost an island. Our population is only a million, so we’re not talking a crowded place. If you are looking for major city lifestyle partying…head to Halifax. Zero bars, but about two hundred pubs. Every town in NS has a pub or two…or it isn’t a town…so don’t worry about getting thirsty. Canada’s major highway is the Trans Canada. Stay off that the best you can – we’ve got roads that circle the entire province. Each has a name…for example, I live on the Sunrise Trail.
