The Ultimate Desert Adventures™ UTV experience starts with renting one of our Polaris RZR buggies to explore the area. So how do you rent one of these powerhouse machines? The process is pretty straightforward, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Those renting a UTV must be 18+ years old and possess a valid credit card. All additional passengers can be under 18 but must be at least 48″ tall.

You will also require a valid driver’s license for all drivers. We stipulate that you need to wear eye protection and a helmet, provided by us. A security deposit of $1500 is needed for the buggy. The rental price is per vehicle, not per person.

We encourage all guests to make a reservation via our website to secure their spot on tour.

We also accept walk-ins, but availability is not guaranteed.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

Yes, we do but availability is not guaranteed. We recommend arriving at the pick-up location at Mandalay Bay Hotel (Front Entrance, Lower Level- Shuttle and Tour Pickup) 15 minutes prior to the tour time, fully prepared to pay for the tour and damage deposit in full. Remember to wear closed toe shoes. 

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?

As soon as you plan your Vegas visit! Please keep in mind that weekends are our busiest times so it is best to book in advance.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

All sales are final, no refunds. If you are unable to join your tour, you must call within 24 hours to reschedule.  A $50 rescheduling fee will be required.

HOW DO I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?

You will receive your refundable deposit 3-5 business days after your tour.

Refunds will not be issued if you rollover the ATV or cause damages to the ATV.

WILL YOU PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE STRIP?

Yes; we pick-up at  Mandalay Bay Hotel (Front Entrance, Lower Level- Shuttle and Tour Pickup). This entrance faces Las Vegas Blvd. 

The address for Mandalay Bay is 3950 South Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Self parking is available at the rear of Mandalay Bay Hotel.

We do not allow self-drive as our riding location has difficult terrain to navigate along the way.

Tours will depart at the scheduled time, boarding begins 15 minutes prior.

WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT?

All riders must be 18+ with valid ID.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO RIDE?

All riders must be able to fully operate an ATV in order to participate in the tour. This includes, but is not limited to, full use of handlebar operations and foot brake. Riders must complete a practice lap in order to continue on tour. Failure to do any of the before mentioned will result in removal from the tour and no refund will be issued. If you feel as though you are unable to participate within these guidelines, please contact us. 

CAN I DRINK OR SMOKE PRIOR TO THE TOUR?

Drinking, smoking marijuana and/or using illegal drugs prior or during your tour is strictly prohibited.

Smoking of any kind is prohibited during the duration of the tour, including but not limited to cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping pens, marijuana, CBD pens, etc. Due to the safety and well-being of others, please refrain from smoking until the conclusion of your tour. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate tour cancellation without refund.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

All riders must wear closed toe shoes. Long pants are recommended to protect your legs from desert plants and hot engine. All riders must wear a helmet so please place hair in low ponytail.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Each rider needs to bring a valid form of ID such as a driver’s license, state issued ID, passport or military ID. Closed toe shoes are required for each rider. Long pants are recommended.

You are welcome to bring your own water, helmet, goggles and gloves.

WHAT SHOULD I NOT BRING?

Do not bring the following items or you will risk forfeiting your tour and deposit:

Drugs including marijuana or CBD

Weapons of any kind. Including but not limited to guns, knives, knuckle dusters, syringes

Make sure you're prepared for the ride before you leave your hotel. Most companies require participants to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (sturdy boots are even better). They also recommend wearing sunscreen and sunglasses and bringing a small bag – like a fanny pack – for necessities and a camera. Helmets and safety gear will be provided by the company. Hotel Pickup: Las Vegas Elite Offroad – Las Vegas Off-Road Guided Adventure

Travelers regularly describe this tour as "excellent" and "a blast" thanks to both the competent guides and exciting ride. During the two-hour outing, you'll drive Can-Am Maverick X3s through the varied terrain of the Nevada desert. Guides will help you navigate, but you will get to choose whether you want to take your time to enjoy the scenery or if you want to zip through the desert. Vehicles can accommodate up to four passengers. There will be a stop halfway through so you can switch drivers, but keep in mind drivers must be at least 18 years of age. The association between the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas is so strong, some people think the canyon is in Nevada instead of Arizona.

Located about a four-hour drive from the city center, Grand Canyon National Park is a popular day trip for Vegas travelers, with many tour operators offering shuttles from the Strip to the canyon's South Rim.

Or you could rent a car and plot your own course to the South Rim, open all year, or the North Rim, open mid-May through mid-October .

Here's how to plan a day trip from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon.

Can you do a day trip from Vegas to Grand Canyon?

Yes. Travelers have the option to rent a car and make the drive themselves, or take a tour that departs from Vegas and includes the Grand Canyon.

How long is a drive from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon?

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is about 280 miles from the Las Vegas city center, about a four-hour, 18-minute drive in normal traffic, according to Google Maps. From Interstate 11 and U.S. 93 in Nevada, take Interstate 40 east in Arizona to U.S. 64 to get to the South Rim.

The North Rim is about 265 miles from Vegas and has a similar drive time: about four hours and 22 minutes. Follow Interstate 15 north for about 130 miles and take Exit 16 at Hurricane, Utah; from there, take State Route 389 east and U.S. 89A south to get to State Route 67, which dead ends at the North Rim.

Whichever route you choose, be sure to build in time for gas stops, traffic and sightseeing.

Las Vegas to Grand Canyon day trip packages

Many tour operators offer trips between Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, with varying itineraries and price points.

Grand Canyon Destinations , a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award-winning tour operator, offers day-trip bus tours that allow for three hours of exploring the South Rim.

Trips include a tour guide who provides information about stops along the way, which include historic Route 66. Pickups are between 5 and 6 a.m. and the bus returns around 10:30 p.m. Tours start at $74 per person; group tour options are available.

There are no bus tours from Las Vegas to the more remote North Rim. Papillon offers a Grand Canyon North Air Ground Tour , where guests fly to the North Rim and then take a guided tour via an ATV or UTV.

You'll be picked up at your hotel and taken to Papillon's terminal at Boulder City Municipal Airport. From there you'll fly to Bar 10 Ranch in St. George, Utah, where the ground portion of the tour commences; it involves UTV or ATV tours in remote back roads in Whitmore Canyon and the Grand Canyon's North Rim. Guests fly back to Boulder City, then take a shuttle to Vegas. This tour starts at $489 per person.

Las Vegas Was Just Named the No. 1 in the U.S. for Adrenaline Junkies — Here's Why

Where do adrenaline junkies go to get heart-pumping thrills? A new study from online gaming site Prime Casino has crowned Las Vegas the best destination in the U.S. — and the second-best in the world — for thrill-seeking fun. (Rio de Janeiro took the top spot globally.)

The study analyzed data from 40 bucket list destinations and ranked cities based on several factors related to outdoor recreation. It took into account extreme tours, natural wonders and outdoor recreation, watersports, motorsports, and unique activities offered to visitors. Activities such as hiking and mountain biking, rock climbing, boating, race car driving, and extreme sports such as bungee jumping and ziplining all played into a city’s overall score.

The report found Las Vegas is “sprawling with outdoor activities (1,139 per 1,000 square kilometers)" with "plenty of pulse-racing experiences, including helicopter night rides, ATV experiences over the dunes and desert shooting.”

One specific activity the study noted in Las Vegas was the SkyJump at the Strat . The controlled free leap from the 108th floor of the hotel tower drops jumpers 829 feet to the ground at speeds reaching 40 mph. It’s North America’s highest sky jump.

Las Vegas, of course, offers a ton of outdoor activities. Visitors can go mountain biking on desert trails, hike and ski on Mount Charleston , rock climb in Red Rock Canyon , or boat and kayak on Lake Mead .

Along with the city’s many golf courses, other exhilarating experiences in Sin City include roller coasters, helicopter tours over the Strip or to the Grand Canyon, ziplining at The LINQ and over the crowds at the Fremont Street Experience , and driving a race car on the track of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway .
