Epic concert, awesome performance at a great theater. it was insanely hot but by the water Jones Beach kept cool. Brent sand awesomely but I was a bit disappointed by the lack of songs from the new album. They sang Get Up but that was it. They also only sang their most popular songs but almost none from their first few albums and none at all that weren’t their most famous. I would’ve liked to hear some more somgs that weren’t as popular as I’ve heard them many times. It was great that they coheadlined with godsmack as they put on a kickass performance also. They really create the classic rock atmosphere with their fans. The crowd was on fire from shinedown and godsmack kept it alive. It also seemed to me that Brent’s voice sounded slightly different, maybe it was mechanized or something because it sounded higher pitched. I’m gusssing he lost his voice over the tour and had to compensate, better that than cancel the show, this was also the last show of the first leg so they’re taking a break. Altogether best concert I’ve ever been.

I really had a great evening, this was my first time seeing them live and they were a lot better than I expected. Brent did talk a lot during songs, sometimes telling us things about the band that were sort of necessary but other times it almost seemed like he kept talking just so he wouldn’t have to play. I was also shocked to realise only 3 songs of their new album were performed; Attention Attention (the album title as well as a song) wasn’t even played, and instead they relied on material from the early 2000’s which I was unfamiliar with (I only know their last two albums in depth). The crowd loved it and could all sing along (so maybe it was my fault for not recognising as much) but I am still confused why the band came on stage with the start of Attention Attention playing and to not even perform that song on stage. Brent wore a jacket with the ‘!’ of the album cover which was also featured on the drums so it all seemed that the evening would be full of new material and still they didn’t go into their new album as much as I’d hoped, they did about 3 songs each from each record. This doesn’t mean I didn’t have a great time, on the contrary, but it didn’t make sense to me that the new album had come out months ago and 75% of what they played was old material.

I love listening to Shinedown's music and I bought Attention Attention. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 was my first time to see Shinedown live in concert. They did not disappoint me. All four band members were full of energy on stage and very engaged with the entire audience (or so it seemed - that's how good they are.) They also sound as good live as they do on their albums which is often not the case with many bands. And the bass player and lead guitar player sang backup and their harmony was spot on. The lead singer briefly explained the meaning behind some of their songs. He also walked onto the floor several times and interacted with the audience on the upper decks and the crowd was very polite and gave him room to perform. Their light show is also very good. Lots of laser lights and designs. The only complaint I might have is there was too much smoke used and at this particular venue it became overwhelming to some. I liked Shinedown live in concert so much, I am purchasing tickets to see them again in a August with Godsmack. Shinedown is phenomenal live!!

Shinedown Announce 2023 Tour with Three Days Grace, From Ashes to New

The band is also slated to perform at Blue Ridge Rock Festival

Shinedown are heading back out on the road this spring. The Revolutions Live Tour returns in April with special guests Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New. The trek begins at The Dow Event Center in Saginaw, Michigan on April 3 and wraps up at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on May 9.

“It’s been hard to contain our excitement,” the band said in a statement. “We can’t wait to see you back on the road, Shinedown Nation!”

Ticket pre-sales begin tomorrow, January 24th at 12pm EST, running through Thursday, January 26 at 10pm local time. General on-sales start this Friday, January 27 at 10am local time at shinedown.com . In addition to their headlining dates, Shinedown are also set to perform at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival at The Virginia International Raceway in Alton, VA in September.

Shinedown’s acclaimed seventh studio album  Planet Zero (Atlantic Records), produced by the band’s bassist Eric Bass,   arrived last July. The album debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart and the Official UK Albums Chart, and at #1 on six other Billboard charts including Top Album Sales, Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative Albums Charts. Multi-platinum, chart-topping band Shinedown has announced their upcoming fall leg of The Revolutions Live Tour, co-produced by Live Nation and FPC Live, with support From Papa Roach and Spiritbox.

The fall run of shows  starts off in St. Louis, MO on September 3, kicking off a 26-date  run of fall  headline shows and festivals .  Tickets are on sale this Friday May 5th at 10am Local at  LiveNation.com.   Various presales will be available Wednesday, May 3 through Thursday, May 4.  VIP packages featuring exclusive access available for  purchase . This week, the band’s hit single “ A Symptom of Being Human ”   jumped into the  Top 25 at Hot AC Radio.  Unfolding with gentle acoustic guitar, soaring strings, delicate piano, and a powerful vocal delivery from front man  Brent Smith ,  “A Symptom Of Being Human”  celebrates the beauty of our individual differences and embraces the ups and downs of life ,  while showcasing  Shinedown’s gift for making us feel connected through our common humanity.

This follows Shinedown’s recent #1 at Active Rock Radio with   “Dead Don’t Die.”   The  single notched Shinedown their  20 th  #1  at the format .  It became the most spun #1 song at the Active Rock format in a single week since 2016 when Metallica’s “Hard Wired” hit that milestone, and it is also the most played Shinedown #1 in one week at Active Rock. The defiant track, featuring pummeling drums and searing off-the-rails guitar solos, is a rousing declaration of survival and an anthem about the resilience of the human spirit after trying times.

MILWAUKEE (Jan. 23, 2023) – Multi-platinum, chart-topping band Shinedown has announced their upcoming The Revolutions Live Tour (co-produced by FPC Live and Live Nation and presented by 102.9 The Hog), with support from fellow chart-toppers Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New, will come to Fiserv Forum on Saturday, April 29.

The Revolutions Live Tour will have the record-breaking band bring their hit album Planet Zero to life live from coast to coast. Public on-sale begins this Friday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. CT at LiveNation.com. Various presales will be available Tuesday, Jan. 24 through Thursday, Jan. 26. Shinedown Profile

Shinedown is a rock band from Jacksonville, Florida. They have sold over 10 million albums and have released 5 official albums. Their last album was “Threat to Survival” which contained the number one singles “Cut the Cord”, “State of my Head”, and “How Did You Love”. Before that was the album “Amaryllis”.

Shinedown released their new album “Attention Attention” on May 4th. It contains the lead single “Devil” and is a concept album dealing with depicting a human overcoming their negativity through personal struggles to be reborn as a new person.

In early 2018, Shinedown went on a co-headlining tour with Godsmack as part of LiveNation’s “Ticket to Rock” promotion. They were also a part of Ticket to Rock in 2019. 2020 tour plans were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Shinedown was one of the first acts to announce new shows later in 2021.

In 2022, the group announced a world tour titled Planet Zero. They followed that up in 2023 with The Revolutions tour.

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse University announced that it is offering discounted tickets to the Orange’s season-opener against Ohio on Aug. 31, part of an effort to fill the JMA Wireless Dome for Fran Brown’s first game as the team’s head coach.

Syracuse announced on Thursday that it will offer discounted tickets in every section of the building for the opener, although a search of the available tickets indicates discounted tickets in some sections have already sold out.

NEW YORK (AP) — The game between the Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees scheduled for Tuesday night was postponed because of rain.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms were projected for the New York area and earlier a flood watch was issued through Wednesday morning in New York City.

The teams will attempt to open their three-game series by playing a traditional doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 4 p.m. ET.

At 67-46, the Yankees began the day tied with the Baltimore Orioles atop the AL East. New York has won eight of nine following a 10-23 slide from June 15-July 26.

New York began a stretch of 15 straight games against sub-500 teams by taking two of three from the Toronto Blue Jays. Aaron Judge hit his MLB-best 40th and 41st home runs in the first two games before being intentionally walked three times Sunday.

The Angels entered the series 12-9 in their last 21 games and took two of three at home from the New York Mets.

New York rookie Luis Gil will start the opener, followed by Will Warren in the second game. Warren made his major league debut on July 30 in Philadelphia when Gerrit Cole was scratched because of general fatigue and allowed four runs and four hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Davis Daniel and Carson Fulmer are expected to start for the Angels.

TRAINER’S ROOM

Angels: OF Taylor Ward was placed on the paternity list and 3B Anthony Rendon came off the injured list after missing eight games with a back injury.

Yankees: RHP Clarke Schmidt (lat) threw 20 pitches to hitters and will face batters again Saturday either in New York or at the minor league complex in Tampa. ... 1B Anthony Rizzo (forearm) faced Schmidt but there is no timetable for his return. ... INF Jon Berti (calf) also faced Schmidt and could resume running at full speed next week. ... C Jose Trevino (quadriceps) also faced Schmidt and could start a rehab assignment next week. ... RHP Ian Hamilton (groin) threw a light bullpen session and is expected to throw another on Friday.

LaPorta (hamstring) didn't see action in Thursday's preseason opener against the Giants, the Detroit News reports.

The Lions opted not to play their key skill players in the contest, but LaPorta has been dealing with a hamstring injury, so he probably wouldn't have played Thursday even if they had. The star tight end's next chance to see game action is Aug. 17 against the Chiefs, but he'll need to get some practice time in before then for that to occur.

Taylor Swift is welcoming five new artists to her Eras Tour run: Raye , Suki Waterhouse , Maisie Peters , Holly Humberstone and Sofia Isella, each of whom will open for one of the pop star’s concerts at Wembley Stadium later this month.

Running Aug. 15-17, 19 and 20, the “Karma” singer’s upcoming stint at Wembley will come about two months after she first brought her Eras shows to the massive London venue for three nights in June. Mette, Griff and Benson Boone each opened for one of the performances, while Paramore has been a constant on the 14-time Grammy winner’s European leg.  

Waterhouse, who is close friends with Swift and will perform on the 17th, also shared the news on X . “It feels like an honour to simply exist at the same time as @taylorswift, let alone be an opener for her on the biggest and best tour ever 😭😭” she wrote. “A dream come true that I never want to wake up from. Playing at wembley stadium in my hometown!!” 

“The hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep,” tweeted Humberstone, who will play on the 16th. “As if I get to support Taylor at The Eras Tour !!!!!! pinch me !!!!! @taylorswift thank you thank you I am eternally grateful what an honour, I have no words & I can’t f–kin wait for the 16th !” 

The announcement comes as Swift has just two stops left on her European leg, with three back-to-back shows in Vienna slated for Aug. 8-10 ahead of her Wembley finale. After that, she’ll swing back through the United States and Canada for one last leg before closing out the Eras Tour in December.

The 14-song release that tells the story of a character who starts out defeated and slowly overcomes pain and personal struggles and becomes confident at the end. The album also lyrically touches upon singer Brent Smith 's former drug addiction and Bass 's depression.

" Eric probably got 100 or so gray hairs from producing the album," SHINEDOWN drummer Barry Kerch told the Lexington Herald-Leader . "He put a lot of pressure on himself and we put a lot on pressure on him. A lot of people say it’s the death knell when you self-produce. But he knew how to do the job. He's produced bands before, many different styles of bands — rock 'n' roll bands, metal bands. So we had full faith and trust in him. But we also had full faith and trust in each other because we still get along. We still like each other. We still have fun together. We're friends, and we love each other like brothers. That made it a lot easier. For me, it was fun just to watch him work with the talent that he had."

SHINEDOWN will embark on a U.S. headlining tour in February. Support on the trek will come from PAPA ROACH and ASKING ALEXANDRIA .
