By Life, Family Fun Team
Updated on October 20, 2020
This message is for 21+ Taking a tour of something new and different is always a lot of fun, but taking an Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour in the Cartersville, GA brewery may just top the list. If you ever have the opportunity to join in on the “Beermaster Tour”, do so. Not only is it a great way to see the inner workings of how a brewery operates, it’s also a great way to sample some really delicious and freshly brewed beer. Have you ever had a beer that was literally only moments old? If not, the Beermaster Tour is for you. We were provided complimentary tickets for this review but all opinions are our own.
Exclusive First Look at the Anheuser – Busch Pop-up Brewery Tour
While the brewery tour hasn’t been officially open to the public since 2015, this summer some exciting things are happening! With the brewery located on 1,700 acres, there is a ton of information to see and process on the tour and the Cartersville, GA location is opening its doors to share everything with you!
Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour – Satisfy your cravings for great beer
Each brewery tour lasts anywhere from 60-90 minutes and is packed full of a ton of great information. Wear close-toed comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk about the inside of the brewery for the entire duration. The tour is guided and they’ll be plenty of opportunities for sampling along the way. Helpful hint? Don’t forget your ID! No matter your age, you won’t be able to participate in any samples without it!
Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour – Ages 13 and Over Only
For 21 plus years of age, the main focus of the tour tends to be the sampling of the different variety of beers. While that is great and definitely a bonus, keep in mind that children 13 and up are also able to join in on the tour to learn about the brewery and how it operates. (obviously no sampling for anyone under the age of 21) If you have a child under the age of 13, plan ahead because no one who is younger than 13 is allowed to join in on the Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour.
Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour – Available All Year
While the tours are open and available all year long, the days are limited to book. During the month of August, there are only two days (the 5th and the 31st) where tours will be given and open to the public. It’s a good idea to plan ahead and book early as they fill up quickly. Booking online is an easy option and can be done here. Keep in mind that reservations are required.
Cost: $25 for visitors 21+ ; $10 for visitors ages 13-20
During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions while visiting all the varying stations in the process of making and packing the beer for distribution. To say it’s interesting is an understatement! After this tour, you’ll be jam-packed full of knowledge about breweries and the incredible process that it takes to get just one beer or 6-pack out on the market for purchase.
The next time that you order a beer at a restaurant or other outing, you’ll know exactly what the process was from start to finish to be able to have that beer bottled (or canned) and sitting in front of you.
Anheuser-Busch Drinking Water
I love the fact that Anheuser Busch gives back to the community, especially during natural disasters. Working with the American Red Cross , did you know that Anheuser Busch has provided emergency drinking water effected by Hurricane Matthew victims last year and to those affected by wildfires in California? Last year, they also sent over 150,000 cans to victims effected by Harvey. Helping communities through times of need has been an Anheuser-Busch commitment since 1906.
Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour – Good to the Last Drop
Did you know that Anheuser Busch produced over 20 different products out on the market available for purchase? During the tour of the 90,000 square foot facility, there’s a good chance that you’ll see a number of them being made.
Once the touring of the inside of the brewery is complete, let the taste testing commence. You’ll be given the option to enjoy some of their most notorious brews, fresh off the assembly line. Taking an Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour is a great way to spend the day. Gather up a few of your friends and make it a fun outing to experience together!

Anheuser-Busch Brewery Beermaster Tour in Cartersville
Categories Atlanta , Atlanta Attraction Guides
I was graciously hosted as a guest and participated in the Anheuser-Busch Beermaster Tour, but all opinions are my own.
While I’ll admit to loving more bubbly than beer, there is something unique about touring a brewery. It’s fascinating to meet the brewers, see the passion they put into each bottle and learn about how beer is made. I’ve officially been on four brewery tours previously, but nothing tops the scale of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery Beermaster Tour in Cartersville, Georgia.
Once a month, Anhesuer-Busch opens their brewery to guests for an official tour. I didn’t even know that they had a brewery in Cartersville before taking the tour. Over twenty of their beloved brands are brewed and bottled at this facility. It’s an hour north of Atlanta and a must-do Sunday afternoon activity for any beer lover.
The tour takes you through the art of brewing beer and breaks down the process. Our tour guide explained what makes the Anheuser-Busch brands unique from others – like starting with the purest of water. The two hour experience walks you through the brewing facility. The large scale brewing is incredible to witness behind-the-scenes.
Guests who are 21+ can sample directly from the finishing tank. It’s the freshest beer that you can only taste on the tour. After the sampling, guests can see the mass production of packaging. The bottling process is mesmerizing as thousands of bottles line up to be filled with product.
I loved learning that this facility is the only one to can water for emergency situations and natural disasters. They always have a supply of water ready for donation to the Red Cross. I remember hearing about that when Hurricane Irma hit – so it’s awesome to know that they are giving back to the community.
Each guest receives a commemorative Budweiser class baseball cap, with Cartersville embroidered on the back. Of course, the tour wouldn’t be complete without a cold one. Each 21+ guest gets a bottle of beer to enjoy at the end of the tour.
The Beermaster Tour Costs $25 Per Guest – Book Here

Anheuser-Busch Cartersville Brewery Opens For Public Tours
- Tuesday, March 10, 2015
This spring, a fresh new experience is popping up in Cartersville, Ga., when the Anheuser-Busch brewery opens its doors for a limited number of public tours from March 19 through April 12 . Opened in 1993, this is the first time the Cartersville brewery has welcomed the public for a behind-the-scenes look at how some of the world’s most popular beers are brewed.
Every Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the pop-up, brewery staff will guide visitors through key parts of brewing and packaging operations during an hour-long tour that showcases the seven stages of the time-honored Budweiser brewing process. The tour begins at the brewhouse and moves through the starting cellar, packaging and fermentation areas before wrapping up at the beechwood aging cellar and finishing tank. Tours cost $10 for guests age 14 and older and are free for children 13 and under.
Following the tour, guests 21 and older can sample a variety of the beers brewed at the Cartersville brewery, including Budweiser, Bud Light and Shock Top as well as a special beer from Cartersville Brewmaster Travis Moore, Etowah Imperial Lager. The unfiltered, full-bodied imperial lager offers a distinct German hop aroma and offers slightly spicy and floral notes, brewed just for brewery guests this month.
“We’ve proudly brewed in Cartersville for more than 20 years, but it is really something special to open our doors to the community and show them all that goes into making their favorite beers,” said Rob Haas, senior general manager, Anheuser-Busch Cartersville brewery. “This peek into our brewery will be a fun, educational experience we can’t wait to share.”
Guests will also get a glimpse at Anheuser-Busch’s long history of supporting disaster relief through emergency drinking water donations. Partnering with wholesalers and the American Red Cross, Anheuser-Busch has donated more than 72 million cans of emergency drinking water since 1988. The Cartersville brewery packages and ships all emergency water donations on behalf of Anheuser-Busch.
To help kick off the month-long experience, the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales will pay a visit to the brewery on Friday, March 20 , Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22 . Guests are welcome to visit with the majestic horses and bring cameras for family-friendly photo opportunities.
Located at 100 Busch Drive Northeast in Cartersville, Ga., the brewery offers free parking to visitors. The brewery will be closed on Sunday, April 5 for the Easter holiday. Anheuser-Busch to Expand in Cartersville
The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) today announced that longtime Bartow County community partner Anheuser-Busch will expand operations at its facility in Cartersville, Georgia, generating an $85 million investment and 12 new jobs.
“Anheuser-Busch is a source of pride in Georgia’s advanced manufacturing lineup, and this Cartersville plant expansion will allow continued competitiveness within the beer industry,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson. “We appreciate Anheuser-Busch’s continued investments in Georgia and dedication to the community. Our economic development partners deserve tremendous credit for supporting our existing industries and helping position them for continued success.”
The expansion will support the creation of new brewing capabilities at the facility.
“We are deeply committed to the Cartersville community, which is why we are excited to announce our $85 million plan for expansion,” said Kevin Fahrenkrog, senior general manager of the Anheuser-Busch Cartersville Brewery. “The U.S. beer industry is back to growth and over the next three years, we will expand the brewery’s capabilities to brew some of our best-selling brands right here in Georgia. Our investment in the Cartersville brewery will create 12 good-paying jobs and reaffirms our strong belief in supporting local manufacturing.”
Anheuser-Busch’s Cartersville location, which opened in 1993, brews more than 20 of the company’s brands and is the original producer of canned emergency drinking water for disaster relief. The Cartersville facility was Anheuser-Busch’s first brewery to be certified organic by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to brew and package Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold.
“Anheuser-Busch continues to be a source of community pride for a number of reasons,” said Cartersville Mayor Matt Santini. “This latest expansion is just the latest example of their commitment to bring quality jobs to our community. We are appreciative of their investment and partnership with our city.”
Georgia Department of Economic Development Project Manager Taylor Kielty represented the Global Commerce Division on this competitive project in partnership with the Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development, the city of Cartersville Electric System, and the Altus Group.
