This VenueShield program ensures that ASM facilities are clean and certified at the highest standards for the safety and health of guests, employees and clients. Our doors will be open in compliance with VenueShield protocols and State and City guidelines in addition to customizing those protocols based on the needs of each event organizer to create a safe and fun environment for all guests.

Will there be required social distancing inside the ASM-Jacksonville Venues? Lines for entry, concessions and merchandise will be set up to comfortably accommodate social distancing where possible.

Will there be socially distanced or pod seating at upcoming events? Seating for this event will be in compliance will State and City laws and guidelines and established by the event organizer. Will masks or face coverings be required? Subject to compliance with state and local laws or mandates, and based on the needs of the event organizer, masks or face coverings will be encouraged inside the venue and should be worn when social distancing is not possible. The mask policy is subject to change based on state and local laws and guidelines and the protocols established by the event organizer.

What cleaning protocols will the ASM-Jacksonville managed venues have in place to prepare for upcoming events? ASM-Jacksonville will follow ASM Global’s VenueShield protocols and have each venue thoroughly disinfected before each event. During events, the venues will be continuously cleaned and disinfected, particularly in high touchpoint areas including, but not limited to handrails, elevator buttons, concession and merchandise countertops and door handles.

What precautions are in place for food and concession safety? There are plexiglass shields at each point of purchase. Mobile ordering for concessions is available at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena and TIAA Bank Field and all concession transactions will be cashless to help reduce touchpoints and lines.

What other health and hygiene precautions will the ASM-Jacksonville venues be taking? VenueShield signage is installed throughout to remind guests of health, safety, hygiene, and social distancing practices and additional hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the venues for guests to use during the event

INDIANAPOLIS (September 24, 2021) – Comedy titan and Emmy® Award-winning actor, Katt Williams, announces his World War III Tour is coming to Indianapolis. Performing at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on November 5, 2021, at 8 p.m., Williams brings his unparalleled talents to the stage with new material that blends sidesplitting comedy with thought-provoking social commentary. With a career spanning over 20 years, Williams has earned a worldwide reputation as one of today's top entertainers, having developed a career seeded with thousands of sold-out arenas, an expansive list of starring roles on the small screen and memorable performances in major box office hits. His latest project, the comedy horror film “The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2,” follow-up to the 2016 indie hit “Meet the Blacks,” premiered June 11 and stars Williams along with Mike Epps, Snoop Dogg and Danny Trejo. The film earned numerous accolades on opening weekend including: #1 Comedy in North America, #1 highest-grossing new independent film release, and biggest opening for a feature film in less than 1,000 locations since March 2020.

Theater Review : Katt Williams, World War III Tour

The world-renowned DAR Constitution Hall was in for a night of hilarity on October 30th. It was the final show in Chocolate City for comedian Katt Williams’: World War III tour . I had previously seen Mr. Williams in the spring of 2016 when he performed at the Verizon Center. I was a fan of Williams since his appearance as Money Mike in Friday After Next , and his stand-up special The Pimp Chronicles was therapeutic during my first deployment.

Unfortunately, my first time seeing Katt live was a letdown. The jokes weren't rapid, he was befuddled on stage, and his genuine wisdom came off as forced. Thankfully, Katt redeemed himself after an Emmy Award-winning guest-starring performance on the hit show Atlanta and solid supporting work in the films 2 Minutes of Fame and The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2. So when a family friend invited my wife and me for a night out to see Katt live, I gladly took him up on his offer.

Per the norm, the show didn't start on time, which worked in my favor as parking was rather non-existent. Katt's longtime touring associate and D.C. Native, Red Grant, served as the night's host providing the audience with reminiscent anecdotes about growing up in D.C. and utilizing his trademark laugh throughout the night. Zooman Miller was the first comic up, and his set primarily consisted of ageism jokes. Miller alluded confidence and instantly gained an IG follower with my following his set.

Mark Curry was up next. Like most, I first discovered Mark Curry's comedic talents during his TGIF Stint on Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper. I initially thought that Curry was a clean comedian until seeing his HBO special Mark Curry: The Other Side way back in 1996. As an adult, I had a chance to see Curry live back in 2013 or so, and he brought his A-Game. Curry provided a rapid succession of jokes, and a roast of an audience member throughout his set. At the age of sixty, Curry showed no signs of slowing down.

The final opening act of the night was Luenell, who was met with gracious applause from the ladies in the audience. I've always enjoyed Luenell in small spurts in movies, so I was looking forward to seeing her live. Unfortunately, Luenell was not hitting for me, but I loved her confidence on stage in any case.

Finally, it was time for the man of the hour, Mr. Katt Williams. Katt had props on stage that correlated with the theme of his tour, World War III . Throughout a fifty-minute set, Williams swiftly took the stage and delivered jokes on politics, female anatomy, and of course, conspiracies. Williams has grown as a comic and brought up topics that should invoke discussion. However, therein lies some of the problems as his attempt to blend sidesplitting comedy with thought-provoking social commentary didn't always transition well, in my opinion.

Nevertheless, after years spent in the headlines for negative reasons, Williams is a changed man. Katt handled a heckler particularly well who yelled out, "You need Jesus” in a malicious tone before being escorted out. Instead of using the moment to make a joke or roast her, Katt acknowledged her opinion and even let security know they didn't need to put hands on the woman as she left.

My second time seeing Katt Williams live was a vast improvement over my first time. Thus I do recommend checking him out when he's in your city.

I saw this tour in OKC, and I thought it sucked. The jokes were elementary at best, with the profanities making up for lack of talent. God help us if this is what the general public considers humorous.

I caught the World War III Tour last night in Las Vegas and your review closely matches mine. Honestly, Red Grant and Mark Curry carried the evening for me. Luenell had a good stint for her spot on the show. Katt had a moment or two with a laugh from me but overall, I wasn't not impressed. Glad I didn't pay for it!

T he Best Live Variety Special Emmy category has existed in its current form since 2018, although programs of that type have consistently earned TV academy recognition since the 1970s. This year, there are 26 such options for TV academy members to choose from on their first-round ballots, which means five nominees will be announced on July 17. This is down from 29 entrants in 2023 but up from 25 in 2022.

All 20,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 24 to cast their Emmy nominations ballots for their favorite live variety specials. They each must limit their choices to five, reflecting the number of eventual nominees.
