Majestic Europe

To be very honest, We had a wonderful tour. We have enjoyed a lot, all the tour guides were very humble and very supportive. They gave a lot of information to us at every part of the enlisted cities and during the journey. The hotels were very nice, comfortable to stay. The breakfast was good at few places but we expected it at every hotel because, for us as pure vegetarian, we could not get enough other than fruits and cakes. The breakfast at Hotel pyramida was excellent. Everything went very nice throughout the tour, special thanks to Tour guide Eva, Isabell and Emanuel who took good care of us. It was a complete and worthy tour. Only thing to advise is to add up food options for Indian vegetarian people, this would add more value to us. Thank you very much for such a great tour.

I though the Intrepid tour was fantastic. The group leader did a great job in looking after us and providing us with good orientation in all the countries we visited. The only point that could be improved, was in relation to accommodation. In Prague, five people were placed in the one hotel with one bathroom and toilet. This is not really ideal, however, when we raised this issue, our group leader went out of his way to provide an alternate accommodation for my husband and I. I felt that this was really good and we were very pleased with the outcome. The other tour participants were great and I recommend this to anyone who is interested in a great holiday. Thank you Zsolt.

The Best of Eastern Europe

The entire experience was smooth starting from the initial selection and pre-travel preparation. Anytime I had a question, Tourradar was available to assist. I enjoyed my travels and would highly recommend Tourradar.

The Great Adventure

We think the Italy, Switzerland & France itinerary were excellent. (5 stars) , The Canturbury & London Day 1 were also excellent. London day 2, could use some work, as the time in the London museum is too short (2 hours) Another hour there would help a great deal. Likewise Camden Market was also too short. 2 hours, minimum, and then I would recommend going to Colchester and Ending the day there. Or on the overnight Ferry. In our case the overnight ferry was not available and it forced us to skip Colchester and instead drive from London to Dover/Calais to Antwerp... That wasn't fun at all. Then that forced us to have 45 minutes in Antwerp (not nearly enough) and instead of going to Amsterdam, they chose to follow intermarry and go to Volendam, which only gave 45 minutes there. A big mistake, as we then went to Amsterdam and only got 2 hours of free time. (horrible). We would have rather skipped Volendam and have the extra time in Amsterdam. Likewise the Amsterdam Diamond factory was a waste of time. Not interesting, not on the itinerary we had, and boring. Bottom line, the last 2 days London to Amsterdam were 2 stars.... If not for this we would have given 5 stars for Itinerary & transportation.

Baltic Experience

The Baltic Experience tour was a lot of fun! Our Tour Leader, Agata, was superb! The small tour size (we had six participants) meant we got to know each other well. The tour had a perfect mix of planned group activities and time to explore the sites on our own. The on-line tour description was accurate and extensive. Three cautions: Travel insurance is MANDATORY, somewhat expensive, and not included in the tour price. Many, like me, will commit to the tour not knowing this additional cost will be tacked on. Second, the tour sometimes involves significant walking (up to 30 minutes) from transportation facilities to hotels while carrying your own bags (two weeks of baggage), as well as walking tours that sometimes involve climbing as many as 800 steps. This is a tour for fairly young and fit participants. Finally, European hotels and home-stay facilities generally don't have air conditioning or screened windows, meaning sometimes in the summer you will have to choose between sleeping in hot, stuffy rooms or opening the windows for mosquitoes to enter. All that said, this was a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience and I would highly recommend it for fit, adventurous people with positive attitudes who can tolerate occasional less-than-luxurious accommodations.

Zagreb to Athens: Adriatic & Ancient Capitals

This trip was overall in one word... amazing. The destinations covered were amazing & beautiful. It was handy to have everything sorted out : the accommodation (mix of hostels & hotels), the transportation and many of the activities. Most of the places stayed did not have breakfast, but it was stated clearly that they wouldn't. Some of the places that had breakfast included a selection of breads, cereals and coffee - everything that you need. Croatia blew my mind.. The Croatia part of the tour was very in depth and I have a great idea of what the country is all about now & I also want to go back to see more in the future - The tour goes to cities, lakes, medieval villages, islands, beaches and has stops along the way to each usually. Note that on occasion there are stops along the way & the activity isn't always included in the tour.. I found that out the hard way in Albania. The transportation was a mix of using local transportation, personal buses and ferries. Note that in Albania MOST places do not accept credit card & we had troubles using the bank machines to take out cash.. Albania accepts the Euro as currency so make sure you have lots before you go (I also found out the hard way and didn't have any Euros as i Spent them in Montenegro) The groups for the tour are really what made the trip amazing.. Both groups were super friendly & alot of fun.. being a smaller tour and with the age restrictions it did make for a better trip because we were all around the same age, so had more in common! It was great having a smaller group too because we all became closer & spent even the "free time/Free days" together doing the activities. Our guide Marco was with us for both parts of the tour and overall he did a great job covering the information needed and I felt like we could always go to him if we had questions about anything. That was a part of the tour that I liked: knowing that I had someone to ask questions to who knows the area..Overall, HIGHLY recommend doing BOTH parts of this tour, as Many who didn't do the 2nd leg of the trip were super jealous and wishing they did! You won't regret doing this tour!!

All About Balkans (4 Star Hotels)

This was an amazing trip! Vojin was our tour guide; he was just excellent. Anything you wanted, pharmacy, postcards, restaurant recommendations, even taking pictures, which for me is a must, he was wonderful. I have been traveling for many years, and Vojin was the first tour guide who counted every passenger before we left the city on the bus. I can tell when a tour guide cares about his job and the traveling team, and Vojin goes beyond his comfort to take care of his travel team from Bulgaria to Macedonia. I would also like to mention the bus driver Slavče, was amazing; I am still in shock at how he managed to turn on streets with very little angle, and driving through the mountains of Montenegro and Macedonia was amazing. In most of the Balkans, everything is written in the Latin Alphabet, so it was easier to walk through the cities or restaurants and walk separately. On the trip to Greece, I was with Kostas. He did a great job, taking us to the best locations in Greece. Even a city in Greece where only Greek tourists go, no foreign tourists, was great. There was an excellent view and food. Great picture locations. Unlike the Balkans, in Greece, with the exception of Athens, everything is written in the Greek alphabet, so you need to stay together as a team so you won't get lost. I would recommend the Balkans and Greece for a tour. Besides the great and beautiful views, the wine is excellent in every country!

Tour from Athens to Dubrovnik or Split: 7 Balkan countries in 14 days

We had an excellent experience. Everything was well organized. The tour company was very receptive to any questions. The guide was very knowledgeable. A couple of the hotels were just OK, but in general, they were just up to our standards. I will say that having an electric car was somehow stressful as our guide could not always find a place to recharge the car at night. He had to go back several times and wait for hours. It made his days very long as it had already been our driver and our guide all day.

What people love about Europe Tours

Overall, a well organized trip. Eva is an awesome tour guide. Perhaps more cautions and security should be emphasized especially in Italy as some of our luggage and laptop were stolen when checking in at the hotel.

Switzerland holiday experiences

• Luxurious, spellbinding and majestic are just some of the words you can use to describe Switzerland. The landscapes are incredible, and you are never far from a sparkling lake, river, or mountain. Ski in the shadow of the Matterhorn in Zermatt, or take the ski marathon challenge at the world famous St Moritz resort.
• Transportation is fast and efficient. The most popular form of public transportation is the Glacier Express. With large viewing windows and luxury seating, it is the perfect way to move between destinations.
• Lake Geneva is Western Europe’s biggest lake, stretching right down to France. This beautiful glistening mirror of water is lined with small beaches, fairytale chateaux and luxurious houses.
• Switzerland is probably most famous for its chocolate and creamy cheeses, such as Gouda and Emmental. If food is your thing then Geneva is the place to go, boasting nearly 40 Michelin-starred restaurants. The Old Town has an old school elegance where you can get a real feel for the local atmosphere.
• If car-free villages, championship golf, horse drawn sleighs and fantastic winter sports sound like your thing, then the canton of Valais is the destination for you. The glaciers in this German-speaking region offer snow sports in the summer, Cans Montana’s championship golf is held here and amongst all that are the medieval village of Sion and chocolate box chalets of Saas-Fee.
• Zermatt is car-free, so the best way to get around it by horse drawn sleighs or electric taxis. There are plenty of cafés, patisseries and shops filled with Swiss watches, luxury clothing and decant chocolate - perfect activities for après ski.

Frequently Asked Questions

In the winter (December - February), days are short, and the average temperature hovers around 0℃. This is the low season, and there are fewer visitors (outside of the ski resorts) during this time. Summer (June - August) is the peak season when days are long, and the temperature rises to average highs of 19℃ and tourists flock to the country. This makes the shoulder seasons, spring (March-May) and autumn (September - November), a fantastic time to visit.

To the north, the German influence is strongest, and visitors will find themselves enthralled by the medieval beauty of Basel and the surrounding areas. To the south, below the Alps, Italian culture makes itself felt in the open piazzas and lazy mornings spent in outdoor cafes. To the west, where Switzerland meets France, you'll find the Jura Mountains and Lake Geneva, as well as excellent French-influenced cuisine. Of course, the Swiss Alps are the centrepiece - a region where you'll find some of the most exceptional natural beauty on the continent.

As well as changing across the seasons, Swiss weather is also affected by dramatic variations in altitude and many microclimates. This means that a relatively small area can actually experience several different weather conditions at the same time. If visiting or hiking in remote locations, the weather must be taken into account, as conditions can change extremely quickly.

• Rhine Falls  - The largest waterfall in Europe, the Rhine Falls can be reached from the nearby city of Schaffhausen. Visitors can take in the sights from various viewing platforms around the falls or enjoy a wet and wild boat ride and get up close and personal with one of Switzerland’s most popular attractions.
• Alpine activities  - There can be no disputing that Switzerland is a real paradise for adrenaline junkies of all persuasions. While Central Switzerland, Graubünden and Bernese Oberland are skiing and snowboarding hotspots in the winter, the valleys and lower slopes boast perfect conditions for biking, hiking and white water rafting in the summer.
• Matterhorn  - There is no mountain more iconic than the Matterhorn in the whole of Europe. With its distinctive, pyramidal peak, it’s the spiritual home of mountaineering and one of the most breathtaking geological formations on the planet.
