Tickets cancelled less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable though may be exchanged for another tour and/or date if seats are available. Please call our dockside ticket desk at (401) 619-1300 with any questions.

Policy Notices

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure time to check in at the ticket booth and receive your boarding pass. Gansett leaves the dock promptly at the departure time and tickets are non-refundable due to missing boat. We cannot hold the boat for latecomers. Parking and traffic can be difficult in Newport, so please leave plenty, plenty of time for both. Please call ticket booth with any questions or concerns.  It is open seating on board.  If you are a large group that wants to make sure everyone sits together, please arrive early to pick up your tickets and get in line .  If you are in the back 1/2 of the line and the boat is sold out, you may not be able to sit together.  The group must get in line together and not have 1 person holding everyone's place in line. If tour is cancelled by the Captain due to weather conditions you can either reschedule or receive a refund.  A Gratuity of 15% will be added to groups of 10 or more. For your safety please wear soft soled shoes. No heels are permitted on board. No strollers, car seats or wheelchairs allowed on board for safety reasons. Items can be stored safely with our ticket booth staff during your tour. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED NO SMOKING PERMITTED Boarding can be denied if a passenger arrives visibly intoxicated. DOG POLICY: Trained working service dogs only, no pets. Must call ahead to make r eservation and notify us if bringing a working service dog.  Tickets cancelled less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable. No refunds will be awarded for no-shows or latecomers. We require a minimum number of passengers to go out, if that minimum is not met the cruise will be cancelled. I took the 4:30 PM Harbour Cruise/Tour on a slightly overcast summer day. Despite the weather, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. The tour offered a fascinating mix of history and trivia, catering to both local and international tourists. As someone who appreciates supporting tourism businesses, I highly recommend this service, especially for those visiting between late spring and early fall. It serves as an excellent complement to a Newport Mansion tour, providing unique views only visible from the water. The hour and a half journey around Narragansett Bay was quite enjoyable. For those interested, wine is available for purchase, and our tour guide added a delightful touch with humorous and entertaining commentaries. It's evident that the staff works hard to ensure riders have a memorable experience.

This 90 minute cruise was so much fun! A great way to spend some time in Newport. Our guide Patrick was awesome, he was funny and VERY informative. He knew everything about everything. The boat ride was very smooth especially for some of the waves we took on. We went in the middle of may and it was pretty windy so bring a jacket for sure. The coffee milkshake was delicious. There were so many really cool sights we got to see, I highly recommend this for your Newport trip

Patrick was a wonderful and hysterical tour guide. I learned much on our first trip to Newport.

A great 90-minute tour through the harbor and bay, with an excellent tour guide pointing out specific boats and mansions along the water. Very informative, very pleasant, and we did the sunset cruise so even had a champagne toast. Cash bar is available for soft drinks, cocktails, and local beers.

We did the afternoon sighseeing tour while we were in Newport. Our trip coincided with the International Boat Show so it was an added treat to see some of these mega-yachts and insane boats from the water. Our tour guide, Beau, quite literally had us laughing out loud at points. He was so informative and super entertaining. He also gave some recommendations for local things to do that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. We got lunch at the Lobster shack afterwards thanks to Beau, and my life is forever changed now that I have had lobster that fresh. Overall it was a perfect afternoon and a really affordable way to see Newport from the water. The service was fast and friendly for drinks. We even made friends with the group sitting next to us, who ended up being the nicest people we have ever met - an added treat for an already spectacular day. I would recommend this to anyone going to Newport and am excited to try one of their other charters when we make it back.

We did the 530 pm cruise...awesome narrator, staff great, champagne toast and stuffie was a nice touch!! One tip, sit on port side, more things to see on that side!

This was a lot of fun! We did this after an early dinner and had a nice view of the sun setting. Patrick (with the crazy sneakers!) was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, funny and energetic with his guided narration. Not only did he know about the houses and landmarks; he knew a lot about some of the yachts that were docked in in the area. Everyone received a "stuffie" , a champagne toast and they had a cash bar for beer and wine. Prices were very reasonable for being on a boat! I think a beer and a wine was $11. I highly recommend giving this a go! It's a fun way to see Newport and learn a few things along the way.

Very smooth ride, interesting narration, friendly customer service, good drink service. Both informative and fun. Would go again, really pleasant overall.

I booked the morning mimosa trip for my husband and myself. We got very lucky, because it was one of the last days available to go. The weather was a bit chilly, but I had a coat and no one else seemed to be cold. There were only 7 of us! Dan was the perfect tour guide. Informative and funny. It is very steady and comfortable for all ages. We highly recommend it for first timers seeing Newport from the water is the way to go.
