"I’m just excited to be touring again. My crew had a well-deserved break and I enjoyed time off with my family, but I love playing shows—that’s my favorite part of this whole thing, so I’ll love being back out on the road and getting to play two shows a week," Combs told Country Living.

Combs Shares the Motivation Behind Gettin' Old

A lot has changed for Combs since his country music debut, including marrying his wife Nicole , welcoming two sons into the world, and amassing millions of fans. As he's growing up and getting older, his music has evolved from light-hearted party anthems and breakup songs to more heartfelt and mature country ballads (don't worry, there are still a few party songs in the mix).

"I mean, just as I get older and as things in my life change—being married and having two boys—my music seems to follow that in more of a serious aspect when it comes to what I’m singing about. Of course still some party songs thrown in there, but definitely a lot more songs with a deeper meaning," Combs said of his musical evolution.

Life on the road looks a little different now for the husband and father of two, and he admits that he values family time on tour above all else. "I bring my wife, Nicole, when I can. That’s the best thing. And my dog sometimes. And of course the boys when we can. Anytime they’re out or my parents and family, the road feels like home," Combs explained.

He's Still the Same Luke Combs We Know and Love

While Luke Combs may be growing up, there's a few things that haven't changed about the "Beautiful Crazy" singer: his love for Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car," trucker hats, and Miller Lite.

Of course, we had to confirm whether "Fast Car" made the cut for the "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old" Tour setlist. Fans, breathe a sign of relief: "Yes, we'll definitely be playing 'Fast Car.' Tracy's song has really resonated with my fans so I love playing it for them as much as I love the songs myself," Combs said. Now that that important fact is cleared up, we can move on to Combs's other mainstays: his hats and his beer.

Luke Combs Will Play Back-to-Back Shows for Fall ‘Middle of Somewhere’ Tour

Luke Combs has plotted out a busy touring schedule in 2022, making up for the lost time with various festival appearances at Stagecoach and New Orleans Jazzfest before he embarks on a summer stadium tour.

When that trek is over, the “Tomorrow Me” singer will regroup and head out on the Middle of Somewhere Tour in September, playing a series of back-to-back arena shows that’ll take him nearly to the end of the year.

The tour gets underway Sept. 2 in Bangor, Maine, and features Combs playing two consecutive nights in nearly every city he visits. Those stops include Green Bay’s Resch Center, Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center, and Uncasville, Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena. The exceptions to Combs’ back-to-back lineup are when he heads to Canada for a series of dates — he’ll do one night only in Montreal and Quebec City, but double nights in Toronto and London, Ontario. The tour wraps on Dec. 9 and 10 with shows in Oklahoma City.

Tickets to most of the U.S. shows go on sale May 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Joining Combs on select dates of the trek will be an assortment of artists including Mitchell Tenpenny, Morgan Wade, Jordan Davis, Lainey Wilson, and Riley Green. A release notes that ticket prices will remain at the level they were pre-pandemic.

“I know that the price of everything has been going up these last couple of years and there’s nothing I can do about that, but the one thing I could do is set the price of my tickets,” Combs said in a statement.

Combs recently released the song “ Tomorrow Me ” from his new album Growin’ Up, which will be released June 24.

Luke Combs Talks Stadium Tour, Dream Touring Partners, New Tour Merch: Exclusive

Luke Combs launched his 2024 “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” tour earlier this month and is headlining back-to-back stadium shows in Buffalo, New York, this weekend. Combs said concertgoers can “expect more of the same” on this tour – and he doesn’t mean to make it sound boring. “It’s just who I am,” Combs told American Songwriter. It will be me, my guitar, and my band. We’ll be playing the hits the folks want to hear as well as some newer stuff. Nothing fancy, just the music doing the talking as usual.” Combs is planning two shows per city and plans to give them a different feeling each night by varying opening acts and his setlist. He’ll do VIP Meet & Greets, pre-show tailgates on Saturdays and add fresh songs to his set that he didn’t play last year. When writing new songs, he anticipates the audience and imagines how they’ll react to each element – sonic and visual. “I feel like if I can create a song that has great lyrics, an awesome visual storyline and a great melody, the fans will love it – and that’s what most important,” Combs said. But, he doesn’t take it for granted. Combs, who spent much of his youth growing up in Asheville, North Carolina, knows that most artists don’t have the opportunity to mount stadium tours, much less play back-to-back nights. “I feel very blessed to be in this position and have this opportunity,” he said. I don’t take it for granted, and neither does my crew and team. But I do get inspired by other artists I follow who I’ve seen play stadium shows. There are a lot of great acts out there, and I try to lean on cool things they do when possible.”

Luke combs wants to tour with ed sheeran and post malone.

Combs doesn’t namecheck the artists who inspire him, but he does know he’d love to tour with his friend Ed Sheeran. He thinks Post Malone would be fun to share a stage with, too. He’s also convinced his former self – the young man who worked his way from bar bouncer to singer while he was in college in North Carolina – would be impressed with how far he’s made it in the music industry. “There’s definitely still a little bit of that guy left in me,” Combs said. “There’s still the passion; there’s still that fire inside of me that you’ll see on stage every night, too.” Now, he’s teaming with Miller Lite, which he calls his “go-to beer for forever,” to elevate the Luke Combs’ concert experience even more for fans. The brand is the beer sponsor for his current tour and asked if they could make him a Miller Lite trucker hat. Combs agreed, and now the hat – which is available beginning April 17 at shop.millerlite.com – could double as entry to a show. When fans buy The Miller Lite x Luke Combs Trucker, they’ll be entered to win two tickets to a Luke Combs concert and more goodies from the Combs’ camp. “I’ve been singing about beer for a while now,” Combs said. “The hats themselves are great. We were able to add elements of my album art and Miller Lite’s design throughout, and they turned out really cool. But more than that, I love that they give my fans the opportunity to do my favorite things – enjoy music with a good beer in hand. That’s what this is all about and that’s why I go on tour – to bring good music and good times to people.”

Luke Combs at American Family Field: Everything to know for Milwaukee stadium tour kickoff

Last year, American Family Field hosted the first two shows for one of the biggest tours of the year, with Morgan Wallen .

Now it's doing it again.

This time out, it will be another one of country music's biggest stars, Luke Combs, who will kick off his 25-date blockbuster "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old" 2024 stadium tour at the Milwaukee Brewers' ballpark, for the first two shows April 12 and 13.

Here's everything you need to know for two of the biggest concerts of the year in Milwaukee — including the status of the Brewers' new parking system.

When do the gates open for Luke Combs' American Family Field concerts, and when do they start?

The first opener for Combs' concerts April 12 and 13 will start at 5:45 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m. each day. The parking lots will open at 3 p.m. April 12, and 2:30 p.m. April 13, and tailgating will be permitted. Just give yourself plenty of time to drive in, particularly on April 12, when there'll be Friday afternoon commuter traffic as well. Getting through security into the stadium will take some time, too, so plan accordingly.

How much is parking? Is the Brewers' new parking system in operation?

General parking is $25 in advance, or $40 for preferred parking, available at brewers.com/lukecombs . Day-of parking is $35 for general lots, or $50 for preferred lots, but the Brewers won't guarantee that parking will be available.

As for the new QR code-based payment system for parking , it's been temporarily suspended following connectivity issues on the Brewers' opening day . For the April 12-13 concerts, the Brewers will operate with the traditional on-site cashier system.

Here's how to get to the concerts if you don't want to drive

Two Milwaukee County Transit System  routes drop people off within walking distance of the ballpark: the CONNECT1 on Wisconsin Avenue and Route 18 on National Avenue. Find the schedule, fare information and more at ridemcts.com .

The taxi pickup and drop off is outside Helfaer Field, while drop-off and pick-up for Uber and Lyft is in the Gantner parking lot. (Expect huge crowds for rideshares after the show.)

Are there any tickets available for Luke Combs' concerts at American Family Field? How much are they?

Remaining first-hand tickets for the April 12 show are $109.50 to $229.50, and $80.50 to $229.50 for April 13, available at brewers.com/lukecombs .

How can I access the pit and seats on the field?

Pit ticket holders must enter the third base gate only to get into the stadium to receive their wristband to get them access. Wristbands are also required for all seating on the field, sections A to P. They'll be available at the Associated Bank gate and wristband tables at the Left Field Guest Services Desk, the UScellular Power Playground in right field and at tables near Section 118.

Combs will have different openers each night — and a special tailgate pre-show April 13

Unlike Wallen — when he became the first artist to play two consecutive nights in a Wisconsin stadium — Combs will treat fans to different openers each night.

April 12 leans more into Combs' alt-country and traditional country tendencies with folk group the Wilder Blue up first, followed by singer-songwriter Charles Wesley Godwin and then outlaw country artist Cody Jinks. The opener slate for April 13 leans a little more country pop, with (in order of appearance) Colby Acuff, Drew Parker, Mitchell Tenpenny and Jordan Davis.

There also will be a "Bootleggers Tailgate Party" at 3 p.m. April 13 with two up-and-comers picked by Combs and Nashville-based up-and-comer concert series Whiskey Jam: Ryan Larkins and Graham Barham. It'll take place at the Third Base Plaza at American Family Field, and will be free to attend for Combs concert ticketholders, with food and drinks available to purchase on site.

Luke Combs setlist: What is he expected to play?

Since these are the first two shows of Combs' tour, we can't wager what the setlist will be. But considering the tour is named after his most recent albums, "Growin' Up" and "Gettin' Old," expect several songs from those. And Combs' biggest hits are also likely, including "Forever After All," "The Kind of Love We Make," and, of course, his breakout cover of the Tracy Chapman classic "Fast Car."

A little less than eight years ago, Luke Combs was fairly unknown, playing clubs like the old Mavericks Live in the Jacksonville Landing. Now he’s headlining two shows at EverBank Stadium , and doing the same at stadiums across the country. 

In the intervening years, he’s gotten three Grammy nominations, been named Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year twice, released one of the funniest Number One hits in years with “When It Rains It Pours” and brought down the house at a nationally televised Grammy Awards show by duetting with Tracy Chapman on her hit “Fast Car.” 

Combs plays Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, at the stadium, with a different cast of opening acts each night.

Where is Luke Combs playing in Jacksonville?

Luke Combs will play two concerts at Jacksonville's EverBank Stadium , the home of the Jaguars .

Can I still get tickets for the Luke Combs concerts? 

Yes, through the stadium’s website, everbankstadium.com. Combs will have a general admission “pit” near the front of the stage, where tickets are $176. Seated areas on the floor go for $119.50-$176. Seats in the bowl are $59.50-$219.50.  

Does one ticket get me into both Luke Combs concerts? 

Afraid not. The events are separately ticketed.  

Has Luke Combs ever played a concert in Jacksonville? 

Combs’ history of playing live in Jacksonville goes back to July of 2016, when he played at the old Mavericks Live in the Jacksonville Landing. He also played at the Florida Theatre in December of 2017, the Players Championship Military Appreciation Day in May of 2018 and VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in October of 2021.

He’s playing back-to-back nights at all of the shows except Penn State.  

Will Luke Combs play “Fast Car” and my other favorites? 

That’s hard to say for certain, but it seems likely. Combs played back-to-back nights in April in Milwaukee and played “Fast Car” and “When It Rains It Pours” both nights. 

What songs is Luke Combs singing on tour in 2024? And is he signing the same songs both nights? 

In Milwaukee, Combs played 25 songs during the first night’s show. He mixed up the order, but 20 of the 25 songs were repeated at the second night’s show. 

Where can I park for the Luke Combs concerts?

No. There is no re-entry allowed.

Showtime is 5:40 p.m. both nights. Combs is scheduled to take the stage at 9 p.m.

As the man himself says, “when it rains, it pours.” Acts may be postponed due to lightning, but the shows are rain or shine. The stage will be covered, but the fans won’t be. 

What can I bring with me to the Luke Combs concert? 

Policies will be the mostly the same as at a Jaguars game. You can bring in one factory-sealed water bottle that is 16.9 ounces or less. All bags brought into the stadium must be clear and no larger than 12-by-6-by-12 inches. Backpacks of any kind (even clear) are prohibited, and no outside food or beverages are permitted. 

Can I bring a camera to the Luke Combs concert? 

Not if it has a detachable lens, but you can shoot all the photos you want with your cell phone. Go-Pros, HD video cameras and drones are also prohibited. 

I have a gift for Luke Combs. Can I bring it to the show? 

Sorry, you’ll have to find another way to get it to him. “Wrapped gifts for the artists” are specifically prohibited. Also, you can’t profess your love for him (or deliver any other message) on a sign larger than 16-by-20 inches.  

Can I hold up my phone and record the whole Luke Combs concert? 

There’s no rule against that, but the people sitting behind you will hate you for it.

Country music stars Luke Combs and Jordan Davis were touring at Highmark Stadium this past weekend and ended up touring with the Buffalo Bills as well.

Before their concert at Highmark Stadium, the home of the Bills, the duo met with members of the football team including general manager Brandon Beane.

Movin’ On, Luke Combs Concert to Impact Traffic on Penn State Campus

I t's a big weekend for outdoor concerts at Penn State, and events on Friday and Saturday will result in road closures and travel delays around the northeast area of the University Park campus.

Movin' On , the annual end-of-spring-semester music festival, will take place Friday at the IM Fields along North University Drive near Park Avenue. Gates for the festival — which will feature Dayglow, Sexyy Red and Freddie Gibbs — open at 3:30 p.m. and the show is expected to conclude around 10:30 p.m.

Country star Luke Combs will perform the first concert at Beaver Stadium in nearly seven years on Saturday, when he'll be joined by guests Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker and Colby Acuff. Lots open at noon, gates at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 5:45 p.m.

Here's a look at traffic and parking details for both events.

Road Closures

• Park Avenue will be closed between Bigler Road and University Drive beginning at about 5:30 p.m. on Friday and will remain closed until all pedestrians have crossed the street following the end of the event.

• North University Drive will be closed between Park Avenue and Services Road starting around 5 p.m. on Friday and continuing until after the crowd has cleared following the end of the festival.

• Services Road between Big Hollow Road and University Drive is closed from Thursday until 8 a.m. Saturday. Access to the Orange parking area near Procurement Services is available only from the entrance on Big Hollow Road.

"With heavy traffic expected in these areas on Friday, drivers are urged to use caution and to allow extra time to reach their destinations," the university wrote in a news release.

• Movin' On parking is available for $10 upon entry or with a valid Penn State parking permit at the Stadium West lot. Overnight parking between 2 and 4 a.m. is not permitted.

• Parking is also available in the East Deck for $1 per hour or a $16 daily maximum. Penn State permits are also valid after 4 p.m. Overnight parking is permitted. Drivers should note that a $40 event rate will go into effect in the East Deck on Saturday for the Luke Combs concert.

• Movin’ On parking is prohibited in all lots near the IM Fields.

• Due to the event and road closures, access to Yellow H parking for Penn State softball will only be available from the Curtin Road entrance. Exiting may change through the evening, and drivers should follow the signs and personnel.

LUKE COMBS CONCERT

• Curtin Road will be closed between University Drive and Porter Road is closed now through the end of the concert.

• Porter Road will be closed between Curtin Road to Park Avenue starting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

• A one-way traffic pattern will be in after the concert, but not before.

"Traffic will be very heavy on campus throughout the day Saturday, and drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra time to reach their destination," according to a university news release. 

Lot Closures

The following campus parking lots will close at midnight Friday night in advance of the concert:  

• Commuter lots (Jordan East, Stadium West, Porter North, Porter South) 
• Orange L (all sections) 
• Yellow H (all sections) 
• Yellow V 
• Orange A OPP (east and west) 
• Orange A Katz 
• Orange H (all sections north of Hastings Road) 
• Orange O (ICA Service Center/Meats Lab) 

 The east half of Lot Orange U located just east of USB I and II also will be reserved beginning at midnight Friday night.

• Parking for lots around Beaver Stadium can be purchased in advance until noon on Friday for $60, $80 or $100 through Ticketmaster . Day-of parking purchases will be available in Lots 26 and Lot 36 for $80. Vehicles will not be permitted to line up on the street before lots open at noon. Tailgating is permitted in the lots around Beaver Stadium. See the rules and regulations here .

• Parking will be available in the East, Eisenhower, HUB, Nittany and West decks for $40 on Saturday.

• Penn State parking permits will be valid only in faculty/staff lots located west of Bigler Road.

• ADA parking is available in Lots 18, 31, 41 and Shields. Fans must display their disabled license plate or handicap placard.

• No RV or bus parking will be permitted. Grange Park in Centre Hall is offering overnight RV parking for $50 per night.

• Rideshare pick up and drop off will be on Hastings Road.

Transit Changes

CATA will operate with the following service adjustments during the concert.

• Blue Loop: From the bus stop at Pattee Library, the Blue Loop will turn right on Bigler Road, right on Pollock Road and resume normal routing until College Avenue and Allen Street and make a right on Burrowes Road where it will resume normal routing.  

• White Loop: From the bus stop at the Meridian, the White Loop will follow normal routing to University Drive where it will turn left on Hastings Road, right on Bigler Road, and left on Curtin Road where it will resume normal routing. The Lot 83 stop will not be serviced.  

• Red Link: From West Campus toward Medlar Field the Red Link will follow normal routing to Curtin Road where it will turn right on Bigler Road, left onto Hastings Road, left onto University Drive, left onto Curtin Road where it will resume normal routing. 

• Heading outbound to Toftrees from Pattee Library, the H Route will turn right on Bigler Road, right on Pollock Road, left on Shortlidge Road, right on College Avenue, right on South Atherton Street, and right on Woodycrest Street.  
• The trips not servicing the Village at Penn State will follow routing to The View, turn left on Toftrees Avenue, and then continue to the detour listed above. 
• Heading inbound from Trader Joe’s, the H Route will follow normal inbound routing to the Village at Penn State, and then it will continue around Lion Hill Road, turn left on Presidents Drive, turn left on Toftrees Avenue, turn left on Waddle Road, turn right on Colonnade Boulevard, turn left on North Atherton Street, and turn left on Curtin Road.  
• The trips not servicing the Village at Penn State heading inbound to campus will follow normal routing to The View, turn left on Toftrees Avenue, and then continue to follow the detour listed above.  

• NV Route: Heading inbound, after servicing The View, the NV Route will turn left on Toftrees Avenue, turn left on Waddle Road, turn left on I-99 North, continue onto 322 East to College Avenue, turn right on College Avenue where it will resume normal routing.  

Parking for Penn State Sports

• Parking for baseball, softball and men's and women's lacrosse games on Saturday is available in campus decks at a day-of-event rate of $40.

• Fans can prepay for event parking at a discounted rate of $5.50 through the ParkMobile app or online  here until 11:59 p.m. on Friday.

• Saturday's home sports schedule includes:

• Noon - Women's Lacrosse vs. Ohio State – Big Ten Tournament – Panzer Stadium
• 12:30 p.m. – Baseball vs. Minnesota – Medlar Field
• 1 p.m. – Softball vs. Michigan – Nittany Lion Softball Park
• 3 p.m. – Men's Lacrosse vs. Rutgers – Big Ten Tournament – Panzer Stadium

Admission to each game will be free.

It is not too late to hear country star Luke Combs in concert for his “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour” at Penn State this weekend.

The superstar, who is nominated for the Academy of Country Awards 2024 that airs on May 16 for both entertainer of the year and male artist of the year, will perform on Saturday, April 27, at Beaver Stadium. He has two wins as CMA entertainer of the year.

He will be joined by Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker and Colby Acuff. Show time is 5:45 p.m.

The concert at the iconic Beaver Stadium is only the second one to be held there. The first was in 2017 that featured Blake Shelton and Big and Rich. The stadium has a capacity of 106,572.

Some of Combs’ biggest hits include “Beautiful Crazy,” “When It Rains It Pours,” “She’s Got the Best of Me,” “The Kind of Love We Make” and “Fast Car.”
