World Travel Awards Grand Final 2015 winners revealed

The award presentations were the highlight of the red carpet event which welcomed over 300 industry leaders from around the globe to the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in Morocco.

EL JADIDA, CASABLANCA – Abu Dhabi flag-carrier Etihad Airways has been awarded the title of World’s Leading Airline for the seventh consecutive year at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final 2015.

Also celebrating was Saudi Arabia’s Al Faisaliah Suites , which took the double honour of World’s Leading Luxury Suites Hotel and World’s Leading Hotel Penthouse, while InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was recognised as the World’s Leading Luxury Resort.

In two special awards presented by the World Travel Awards Academy, Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Dr Lahcen Haddad , was recognised for Outstanding Contribution to the Travel & Tourism Industry 2015, while the trophy for World’s Leading Exemplary Hotel Personality 2015 was presented to Al Khozama Management Company Vice President, Hospitality Division, Mr Hussein Ali Hatata.

World Travel Awards President Graham Cooke said: “It has been an honour to recognise the achievements of the global hospitality sector here at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in Morocco.

“Each of our Grand Final nominees has been recognised as a regional leader during our Grand Tour 2015, and this evening we were able to salute the best of the best – the elite of international tourism.

“My heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of our recipients this evening, it is your hard work, dedication, initiative and investment that makes the tourism sector the success it is today.”

Also among the winners was HNA Tourism Group , which walked away with the title of World’s Leading Integrated Tourism Group, while Frasers Hospitality took the title of World’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand.

The title of World’s Leading Tourist Attraction went to the Las Vegas Strip , while World’s Leading Fully Integrated Resort was awarded to Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort & Spa .

In the technology sector, Atlantis, Paradise Island , took the title of World’s Leading Hotel Website.

WTA Gala Ceremonies are widely regarded as the best networking opportunities within the travel and tourism industry, attended by government and industry leaders, luminaries, and international print and broadcast media.

WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.

Today, the World Travel Awards brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.

Each year WTA covers the globe with a series of regional gala ceremonies staged to recognise and celebrate individual and collective successes within each key geographical region.

Ecuador is without a doubt getting the world´s attention, a few years back Ecuador was synonymous to the Galapagos Islands .. and nothing more than that. Fast forward to Saturday, October the 10th of 2015, & Ecuador is taking home an accolade of awards for the 3rd consecutive time!

The WTA (World Travel Awards) is a big deal for the travel industry, in their own words: “we recognize and reward travel excellence” According to the Wall Street Journal it’s the equivalent to the Oscars of the Travel industry. 

The 22nd World Travel Awards 2015 ceremony took place in our neighboring country, Colombia – Bogota, the prizes are annually awarded per continent and divided into different categories, Ecuador was among many South America’s nominations for 2015.

SAN JUAN – The World Travel Awards ceremony for North America and the Caribbean region will take place this year in Turks and Caicos Islands, one of 14 Caribbean territories competing as “Leading Destination” in the 22nd edition.

One of the main nominees is the Bahamas, the Bahamian Tourism Ministry said Tuesday in a statement, noting that the archipelago is competing in the categories of Leading Beach Destination, Leading Cruise Destination, Leading Cruise Port, Leading Destination, and Leading Dive Destination.

We are proud to announce that Ecuador has been nominated for more than twenty World Travel Awards in 2015. The prestigious World Travel Awards are recognized across the planet as a symbol of outstanding tourism quality. Uae: world halal travel awards 2015.

Tourism Minister Arief Yahya here on Wednesday stated that the award reinforces Indonesia as a world-class halal tourist destination.

“This victory is for all of us, and in the future, we should be more focused on developing Indonesia as a global halal tourist destination,” he noted.

Indonesia successfully won the award for the Best Halal Tourist Destination and the Best Halal Honeymoon Destination for

Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara province as well as the Best Family-Friendly Hotel for Sofyan Hotel.

The winners of the World Halal Travel Awards 2015 were announced at a gala dinner in Abu Dhabi on October 20, 2015, in conjunction with the World Halal Travel Summit 2015.

Indonesia competed with Malaysia and Turkey to win the halal tourist destination award.

The minister revealed that Indonesia was nominated in five categories as it is considered as one of the fastest-growing countries in global tourism.

“This award is given to those who are the best in the international travel and halal tourism industries,” Arief emphasized.

The World Halal Travel Summit and Exhibition is established by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
