Day 5: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (45 Kms road/ 6kms Trek) Drive to Jankichatti, trek starts from here to Yamunotri (6kms). On arrival leave the vehicle and start to ascend on trek route either by walk or pony/doli (at own cost). On arrival at Yamunotri purchase Prasad form local small shops, then proceed to holy dip in natural hot water spring or in river Yamuna (icy cold water). One can cook rice in “Surya Kund” (hot water spring), dipping in a muslin cloth and take cooked rice home as “”Prasadam””. Pooja can be offered to mythological “Divya Shila”. Take blessings of Mata Yamuna and trek down to Jankichatti. Later drive back to Barkot for night stay. Day 6: Barkot – Gangotri – Uttarkashi Morning proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), en-route enjoy the drive parallel to Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. On arrival Gangotri have a holy dip in river Bhagirathi (icy cold water). Perform Pooja and Hindu rites at the bank of river. Then proceed to darshan, of Mata Ganga, Lord Shiva, Hanuman, Vinayka and BhagirathMaharaj, have blessings and return back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Day 7: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi / Sitapur (280 kms/9 Hrs) Morning drive to Guptkashi or Phata. On arrival check into hotel. Later do Registration for visiting Kedarnath, overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 8: Sitapur – Kedarnath (18 kms Trek) Early morning drive to Gaurikund/ Phata (for trek route or helipad)trek starts from here to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or Heli/doli/pony (at own cost). Day 11: Badrinath – Pipalkoti Morning visit Badrinath temple after a holy dip in Taptkund. Proceed through colorful entrance of the temple have Darshan of Badrivishal along with Ganesh, Kubera, Garuda, Narada, Udhhav, Nar & Narayan. Also see another small temples inside the temple compound i.e. Laxmimata, Nar-Narayana, Hanuman, Ghantakarn and Kaamdhenu. One can get ‘Charnamirt’ (abhishekamjal) in side compound. Day 12: Pipalkoti – Rishikesh – Haridwar (200 kms/8 hrs) Morning drive back to Rishikesh. The distance between Haridwar and Delhi is almost 230 km but it takes about 7-8 hours to reach, because of the road condition. Once you are in Barkot, check-into the hotel and spend the rest time relaxing in the room. In the period in-between, you must try to get yourself geared up for the next day trek to Yamunotri from Janakichatti.

The 3rd day of the trip would be long. You need to trek to Yamunotri. So you can wake up a bit early in the morning. Then you can have your breakfast at the hotel. After completion of all your daily chores, you can head out to Yamunotri. People cook rice in the garam pani kund and take home the cooked rice as prasad. You can have darshan and offer pooja at the Divya Shilla. Make sure you must take a holy dip at the Jamnabai Kund. After that, you can visit Yamunaji. Post that, have a delicious dinner, and enjoy an overnight stay.

Get up early, and then complete all your daily chores at the hotel. Have your breakfast at the hotel and then leave for Uttarkashi. On your way to Uttarkashi, you must visit Kashi Vishwanath temple. The trek to Gangotri is very challenging as well as filled with adventure. You would be covering almost 120 km to reach Gangotri, which will take almost 5-6 hours. So you must try to start as early as possible. As soon as you arrive at Gangotri, you can start your holy rites at the place of worship Then you can drive back to Uttarkashi. On your way back, you can break in your journey at Gangnani. There will be a night halt at Gangnani/Uttarkashi.

After spending a night in Uttarkashi, you need to travel to Sitapur on day 6. The distance between Sitapur and Uttarkashi is about 250 km. Once you arrive at Sitapur, our agents will drop you at the hotel for the stay. You can then complete all your check-in formalities and relax.

Tushar's 11 days trip to Char Dham

My char dham trip was booked by KrishnaHolidays which included taxi, stays and food(breakfast and dinner only). - 3/6 hotels were very bad.(water issue in first hotel Chauhan Himdarshan in Barkot, electricity issue and worst room services in second hotel Narayana in Uttarkashi Maneri, again worst room services and unhygienic food worse than street food in third hotel Ashoka palace in Sitapur, following hotels were good in Badrinath, ok in shrinagar and best in rishikesh). - 12 seater tempo Traveller was good but driver Rambrij's behavior at times was very aggressive which couldn't develop a good relation with him in a 11 days long trip. - The agency support staff was responding when required which was good enough but they somewhere failed miserably to check the initial hotels which made 50% of our experience bad. Thanks to the beauty of Uttrakhand which made the other 50% a good experience.

Your Char Dham Yatra Package from Surat will get started from here. From Surat, you should take an overnight train to Delhi or board a flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi Airport or the railway station, meet our representative and then get transferred to the hotel. Now check-in to the hotel and have some rest in your hotel room. Start your day with having the breakfast at Hotel and leave for Hanuman Chatti and Janki Chatti from where the trek ( 6 Km ) to Yamunotri temple begins. If you’re comfortable to walk through the 6 Km trek then that’s great, otherwise you will have the option to hire palki, ponies, or a horse completely at your own cost.

During the trek, you will witness the lush green valley, a profusion of conifers, rhododendrons, cacti and several species of Himalayan shrubs. Once the trek completed, you will be reached to Yamunotri Dham temple where you can take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and then perform Pooja at the temple.

The Kedarnath Dham or Temple is one among 12 Jyotirlingas of Bhagwan Shiva, situated on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river in Uttarakhand.

According to the legend, after defeating Kauravas in Mahabharat, Pandavas wished to atone for the sins of committing gotra hatya and Brāhmana hatya during the war and started searching lord Shiva to seek his blessings. First Pandavas went Varanasi, but Bhagwan Shiv wanted to avoid them and took the form of a bull ( Nandi ) and hid in the Garhwal region.

In search of lord Shiva, Pandavas went to Garhwal Himalayas where Bhima saw a bull grazing near Guptkashi and immediately recognized the bull to be Bhagwan Shiva. When Bhima caught the tail and hind leg of the bull, the bull-formed Bhagwan Shiva immediately disappeared into the ground to later reappear in parts.

Bhagwan Shiva as bull reappeared in 5 different forms, with the hump raising in Kedarnath temple, the arms appearing in Tungnath, the face showing up at Rudranath, the nabhi (navel) and stomach surfacing in Madhyamaheshwar and the hair appearing in Kalpeshwar.

And now these five places, i.e. Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheshwar and Kalpeshwar known as Panch Kedar.

After checkout, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath and enjoy the beautiful journey.

Badrinath in Uttarakhand is famous for a temple dedicated to Bhagwan Vishnu, also known as Badrivishal or Badrinarayana Temple. The temple is located on the banks of Alaknanda River in Chamoli district. Once in Delhi, our tour representative will pick you up from the station or airport in Delhi and take you to the inn. You will be exchanged to the specific Surat station or domestic air terminal. Stay the night at the inn.

On 2n day of Surat to Char Dham tour, drive to Haridwar after breakfast, check in at the inn, and then go on a tour of the city. Haridwar is a gateway located in the Haridwar region of Uttarakhand at the base of Shiva's slopes, or the Shivaliks. Bhagirath, the ruler of Suryavanshi, carried out retribution here in order to save the souls of his ancestors who had perished as a result of the scourge of Sage Kapila.

Leave for Shri Badrinath Ji in the morning. Visit the Narsingh Temple and Adi Sankracharya Samadhi in Joshimathen way, then continue on to Badrinath. Upon arrival, perform the blessed Darshan and spend time travelling to Mana Village, the last town before the Tibetan border, Byas Gufa, BheemPul, and the Saraswati River.

Before entering the Badrinath sanctuary, it is customary to take a bath in Tapt Kund, a natural hot spring on the Alaknanda's bank.

Day 06: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (210 km/8-9 hours)

Drive straight to Guptkashi. En way, you may see the beautiful Mandakini River in Tilwara. The Mandakini River originates at Kedarnath; travel alongside the river to reach Guptakashi. Check into the hotel upon arrival, and then visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple in the evening. Stay at the hotel for the night.  

Day 07 : Guptkashi – Kedarnath (30kms by road & 20 kms Trek)

Take the road to Sonprayag. Trek from Sonprayag to Kedarnath (3584 mts) by foot or by pony/Doli. Tour participants should bring personal medications, heavy woollen, toiletries, and clothing for an overnight stop at Kedarnath. Check into the hotel. Next, go to Kedarnath Temple. Stay the night at Kedarnath. Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of Lord Shiva 12 Jyotirlingas, is a lovely location set against the gorgeous Kedarnath region. Lord Shiva, the guardian and destroyer, is also known as Kedar. According to tradition, after defeating the Kauravas in the Kurukshetra battle, the Pandavas felt terrible for killing their own brothers and sought Lord Shiva blessings for regeneration. He eluded them on a frequent basis and sought shelter in the guise of a bull in Kedarnath. As he moved forward, he dove into the earth, beginning his hump on the surface. Lord Shiva leftover pieces arrived in four other locations and are worshipped there as his displays. His arms came in Tungnath, his face in Rudranath, his belly in Madhmaheshwar, and his locks (hair) in Kalpeshwar. Panch Kedar refers to Kedarnath and the four sanctuaries mentioned above.

Day 08: Kedarnath – Rudraprayag (19Kms down Trek & 75kms/4hrs by Road)

Early in the morning, after Temple Pooja and Darshan, hike down to Sonprayag, followed by a drive to Rudraprayag through Guptkashi, and check in at the Rudraprayag Hotel. Stay the night at Rudraprayag at the Rudraprayag Hotel. Rudraprayag: Rudraprayag is a place of the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini and is one of the Alaknanda River Panch Prayag (five confluences). It is approximately 86 kilometres from Rudraprayag, Kedarnath, the Holy Hindu City.

Day 09: Rudraprayag – Badrinath (165kms/7hrs)

 Drive from Joshimath to Badrinath. Check into the hotel. After dinner, go to the Badrinath Temple for Aarti. Stay at a hotel in Badrinath for the night.  

Day 10: Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag (160kms/7hrs)

Pilgrims must bathe in the Taptkund early in the morning before performing the Pooja and Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahma Kapal is significant for ancestor Pinddan Shraddh (Pitrus). Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the Saraswati River "Mukh" are other popular tourist destinations. Badrinathjee is about 3 kilometres away. Later, return to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Check into the hotel. Stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 11: Rudraprayag – Dev Prayag- Risikesh - Haridwar(170 Kms)

After a trip to Haridwar, stop at Rishikesh, the "place of sages," which is a well-known holy city on the banks of the Ganga and is bordered on three sides by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas. It is claimed that when Raibhya Rishi performed rigorous penances, God appeared as “Rishikesh” and this place became known as Rishikesh from then on. Check into the hotel. After that, go to Rishikesh Temples and Sightseeing - Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, and Bharat Mandir. In the evening, attend Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Ashram and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 12: Haridwar - Surat

After breakfast, go to the railway station or airport for your train/flight to Surat.

Day : 01 Surat - Delhi - Haridwar (210 km / 06 hrs)

Day : 02 Haridwar to Barkot (160 km / 06 hrs)

On the way mussoorie is the people’s favourite destination and well-born for the scenory of the place. Day : 03 Barkot - Yamnoutri - Barkot (45 km / 02 hrs each side)

The third day’s morning will in barkot, after having morrow meal the tour will go to yamunotri on the way the first destination is jankichatti which is also one of sanctified place. After this the trip will precede you to go on foot way approx 5-6km to reach yamunotri in pony/doli/horses (excluded the payments). Near the yamunotri temple there is a rock pillar called “divya shila”.

The first stead at yamunotri is the suryakund where the prasadam made by the hot water of the lake (which is cooked potatoes & rice). In the main temple there are three temples which is of yam (yamraj son of surya dev) - yami and surya dev. Again back from the temple to jankichatti on ganger way and then barkot reserved hotel, dinner – eventide stay. Yamunotri temple (maharani Guleria jaipur 19th century) – surya kund (sacred shrine, hot water) - divya shila ( known as Yamuna sprung forth) .

Day : 04 Barkot – Uttarkashi (100 Km / 04 to 05 hrs)

In the morrow of 4th day after the morning meal the jaunt will go to uttrakashi to Prakteshwer mahadev where the beautiful and ancient cave is named as mahadev cave then, the Shivafalls which is just beautiful view at the place there are 120 drawbridges to reach the temple. on the way the next destination is to visit is kashi vishwanath temle based on lord Shiva which is most famous temple in uttarakashi local area and outward too and also known as the “ kashi of north”. The region is surrounded by the holy river banks – Bhagirathi (primary tributary of ganges) it is also known as the city of lord Shiva. The Shiva temple and shakti temple enchain the people by their unique power which makes the tour more interesting. After this, check in hotel then dinner and night stay in uttarkashi.

Day : 05 Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km / 03 each side)

Day : 06 Uttarkashi – Guptkashi/ Sitapur (220 km / 10 hrs)

The Next morrow it’s time to meet with sacred shrine lord Shiva in Kedarnath. After having the breakfast the journey will proceed to kedarnath. Guptkashi is the place to reach first via tilwada / kund. Check into hotel, have night meal and leisure sleep.Stay in guptkashi, ailment.

Day : 07 Guptkashi - Sonprayag - Kedarnath (35 km drive / 18 km Trek one side)

In early aurora get a small bag pack for the trip & we will proceed you to sonprayag. After this the trip will forward to gaurikund which is the hot water source and a story is connected to the collocation that in sathyug mata gauri took bath daily on this lake and also a temple of Mata gauri. Then the trek will for kedarnath main temple which is 6 km upward flank and the river mandakini flows in the right side. The trek can be easy by the horses, ponies, doli and other (not in payments). Day : 09 Guptkashi - Badrinath (160 km drive / 6 hrs)

The next day after having dawn meal the trip will transfer to Badrinath dham. Tour will go from the route via Chopta. After arrival of Mana village the Badrinath dham is near from that destination. Mana village is the last village at Indo-Tibeten border. The main enchantment of the village are Vyas guf , Bheempul , Ganesh Gufa and the Saraswati temple and the last shop of India in the border. Day : 10 Badrinath - Srinagar (162 km drive / 6 hrs)

Today you will wake up early in the morning to embark on a scenic drive to Phoolchatti or Jankichatti, followed by an arduous trek to Yamunotri. You can undertake the trek on foot, use a doli (palanquin), or ride a horse at your own cost. Once you reach Yamunotri, you’ll take a holy dip in the Jamunabai Kund's Tapt Kund and soak in the divine ambiance of the Yamunotri Ji temple. Yamunotri Temple has been built in honor of Goddess Yamuna who is the Sun God’s daughter and Yam’s sister. After the spiritual exploration, you will trek back to Jankichatti. From Jankichatti you’ll be picked up by our driver who will transfer you to Barkot. Have a tasty dinner at your hotel and then have a soothing sleep.

Savor a delicious breakfast at your hotel and then checkout as you will head for a picturesque drive to Harsil which will take approximately 6 to 7 hours. Once you reach Harsil, you will check in at your designated hotel and get ready to explore the Uttarkashi market and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Enjoy a lip-smacking breakfast in the morning and then head to Sitapur covering 230 kilometers distance over 9 to 10 hours. During the journey, you will pass through various picturesque routes via Lambgaon and Moolgarh and admire the Mandakini River at Tilwara. On the way, you’ll stop at Guptakashi and visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple which is dedicated to Shiva in his Ardhnarishwar form and symbolizes feminine and masculine energies union. After exploring Guptkashi, you will head to Sitapur. After reaching Sitapur you will check into your pre-booked hotel and have a luscious dinner. Post dinner you will have an overnight stay at your hotel.

On the seventh day, you will embark on a sacred journey to the Kedarnath shrine. You can choose from two options to reach Kedarnath. Option 1 entails departure after a luscious breakfast to the Phata, Guptkashi, or Sersi helipad, based on the reporting time that the Helicopter Company has provided. You will board a helicopter and enjoy a 15-minute scenic journey to Shri Kedarnath Ji. At Kedarnath Temple, you’ll have the Darshan of Lord Shiva and perform Pooja. Today you can choose from three options for your journey. Option 1 entails a visit to the helipad to board a helicopter to Sitapur. From Sitapur, you will head to Govindghat, covering around 170 kilometers distance in approximately 7 hours. Stop by Ukhimath before checking into your pre-reserved hotel at Govindghat for an overnight stay. Option 2 is ideal for devotees who returned on the previous day from Kedarnath and had an overnight in Sitapur. Post breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and head to Govindghat via Ukhimath, following the same route as Option 1. You can opt for option 3 wherein you will have to trek.

On the ninth day, you can choose from two options to visit Badrinath. Option 1 entails savoring your breakfast and then checking out from your Govindghat hotel to embark on a journey to Badrinath. Upon arrival, you will undertake a holy dip in the Tapt Kund and then head for the Darshan of Badrivishal. After that, you will attend the evening Aarti. If time is there you can also visit several spots like Vyas Gufa, Mana Village, Mata Murti, Bhim Pul, Charan Paduka, and the Saraswati River mouth. If you choose Option 2 you will have to undertake a trek. You will check out from your Sitapur hotel and drive to Badrinath. At Badrinath, you’ll visit the Tapt Kund, Vasudhara waterfall, Bhim Pul, Mana Village, and Vyas Gufa. Have an overnight stay at your Badrinath hotel.

Today you will check out from your Badrinath hotel after breakfast and morning Darshan, followed by a picturesque drive to Srinagar or Rudraprayag, covering around 160 kilometers distance in 6-7 hours. On the route, you will stop by Joshimath, Lord Badri’s winter abode. You will also visit the Narsingh Temple, where Lord Badri’s idol is relocated during the winter. Once you reach Srinagar or Rudraprayag, you will witness the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers' confluence. After arriving at Rudraprayag you will check in to your hotel. Have a tasty dinner and then retire for the night.

On the eleventh day, you will have a mouth-watering breakfast and then you will check out from your Rudraprayag hotel to embark on a journey to Haridwar. Best Time to visit Chardham

Chardham Yatra usually starts from the last week of April or the first week of May till the last week of October or the first week of November but the month of April, May, and the first half of June have amusing weather as it marks the pleasant summers in the Char Dham. The rainy season months are not the Best time to visit the Char Dham as June's second half, July and August are prone to rain due to which landslides may occur and this situation is very frequent in the Char Dham region. You can also make your trip plan throughout the month of September, October, and the mid of November for some Dhams, as winter starts with the beginning of November in the Himalayas.

Early morning after breakfast (packed breakfast), drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti& startrek from here to Yamunotri (6kms) (Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost). After taking bath in JamunabaiKund’s warm water and having “Darshan” of “Yamunaji” return to Jankichatti by trek. Later drive towards Barkot, Overnight stay at Barkot. Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. At Yamunotri, one can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the Taptkund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to DivyaShila. Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund. Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple. Yamunotri Weather – In summer the maximun temp is 18 degrees and the minimum is 10 degrees celsius. The days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold.

Uttarkashi: Uttarkashi is home to a number of ashrams, temples. The name of the town reflects its similarity to and location (as north of) the city of Kashi (Varanasi). Similar to Varanasi, town of Uttarkashi is also situated on the banks of River Ganga. Vishwanath temple – Vishwanath temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Re-constructed in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State in the ancient architectural style. It is situated at the heart of the town. A massive iron trident, symbolic of divine mother’s, is erected and worshiped from time immemorial at the temple complex. Ganeshji, SakshiGopal, Markandeya Rishi’s small shrines are also part of the temple complex. AkhandJyoti as well as AkhandAbhishek, special aarti at morning and evening are offered. As per SkundaPuran, Uttarkashi is known as ‘Saumya Varanasi’, the abode of Lord Shiva in Kaliyug and counted as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Shakti temple – Right in front of the Vishwanath temple is Shakti temple. It has a big ‘Trishul’ of about 6 meters in height and a circumference of 90 cms. at bottom. Though there are different views about the making of this, the upper part of it seems to be made up of iron and the lower one is of copper. As per the epics this Shakti was thrown on the devils by the Goddess Durga (Shakti), hence it gets its name. Since then this Shakti is erected over here. Uttarkashi Weather – Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 30-35 degree Celsius but nights is pleasant, Cold in winters.

Early morning (packed breakfast) drive to Gangotri, enroute at Gangnani take a holy dip in GaramKund, further drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. Harsil is famous for its nature beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains. On arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, after that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi. Gangotri Temple: The temple was constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi. Gangotri Weather – The maximum temperature during summer can go up to 20° Celsius. Summer nights can get cooler with a minimum temperature of 10° Celsius. Light woolen clothes are required while visiting Gangotri during summer. Winter season is very chilly in Gangotri. Gangotri will be covered in sheets of snow during winter. The Mandakiniriver comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit ArdhNarishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Guptakashi. Overnight stay at Guptakashi. Guptakashi:-The name GuptKashi means “Hidden Benares. Mythology describes how when the Pandava brothers were searching for a glimpse of Shiva, Shivji first concealed himself at Guptkashi, but later fled from them further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally got their wish fulfilled. There are more tangible connections as well-the Kedarnath pandas (priests) live in Guptkashi during the winter months, and after the Kedarnath temple closes for the winter, the image of Kedarnath passes through GuptKashi on its way to Ukhimath (across the valley), where it stays for the winter. Guptkashi Weather – pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius. Cold in winters.

This morning post breakfast, visit to kedarnath. After darshan of Kedarnath Temple, overnight stay at Kedarnath which will fill your mind and thoughts with purity. By Trek: Our driver will drop you at Sonprayag in the morning then you have to take local jeep for Gourikund and then your trek starts for kedarnath ji. After darshan you follow the same and return back to Sonprayag. There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, VyasGufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee.Overnight stay at Badrinath. Badrinath one of the ‘Ancient Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus, the place got the name “Badri van”, meaning “forest of berries”. Tapt Kund:Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bath before entering the Badrinath temple. Mana Village:Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet. Vasundhara: As the name suggests, vasundhara is a magnificent water fall. This place is 5 kms. From Badrinath out of which 2 kms. Is motorable upto Mana. Bhim Pul: On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers. Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where VedVyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries. Badrinath Weather: The average maximum temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the average minimum is 8° Celsius. Warm and woolen clothes are hence required for a stay in Badrinaththroughout the year. Winter in Badrinath is often accompanied by snow falls. Winter is very chilly with an average temperature of 5° Celsius. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually closed for tourists.

Morning after breakfast,driver for Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Visit on the way Narsingh Temple in Joshimath later drive back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Check into the hotel arrival in Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag. Joshimath is situated on the slopes above the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Of the four ‘Maths’ established by AdiShankaracharya, Joshimath is the winter seat of Badrinath. The idol is brought down to Joshimath and installed in the temple for people to worship. There are many other temples in the township. The most important is the temple of Nir Singh with the idol of Lord Vishnu. The left arm of this deity is getting destroyed with time and the popular belief holds that the day the arm completely withers Badrinath valley will cease to exist and the Gods will transfer the residence into the neighboring Niti Valley at BhavishyaBadri. Rudraprayag is one of the PanchPrayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River. It is confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Kedarnath, a Hindu holy town is located 86 km from Rudraprayag. Kedarnath Temple complex is being rehabilitated after 2013 Kedarnath floods. New facilities include helipads, helipad and new guest houses. Online facilities for Kedarnath booking are also there. Kedarnath Puja can be book online and no physical presence of devotees needed. Some pujas could be book on the internet or in person. The daily pooja rituals at the Kedarnath temple start early morning, around 4.00 am with Maha Abhishek and end at around 7.00 pm with the Shyam aarti. The Kedarnath temple opens for darshan for the general public around 6 am.

Visitors can touch idle and perform Abhishek with Ghee before 3 p.m. After 5 p.m., no one can approach Idle, but they can get Darshan from a distance. The temple at Kedarnath opens only six months of the year when the sun enters the zodiac sign of Aries and Scorpio is in full-blown eclipse.

According to another legend, Goddess Parvati worshipped Kedaeshwar to unite with Shiva as Ardhanareeswarar. Bhairon is a temple dedicated to Bhaironathji who is ceremoniously worshipped at the opening & closing of Kedarnath Temple. The belief is that Bhairavnathji protects this land from evil during the time when the temple is closed. Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas or the cosmic light.

The temple is over a thousand years old and is located in the Rudra Himalayas, northern India. It is home to the world's highest Jyotirlinga the Kedarnath lingam.

Yamunotri Trek

The entire trekking route is cemented along with a railing on one side which ensures safety. You will know that you have reached the middle point of the trek once you reach a steel bridge that runs over one of the several tributaries of Yamunotri river. 300 metres further from this point you will be standing at a bifurcation point on the trail and a path leading leftwards is a different and an alternative trekking path to Yamunotri which meets finally the main trail after the final switchback. There are three switchback options available for the people going on an alternative route first one is right after the steel bridge; the next one is just before the Bhairav temple and the final switchback is the steepest one which occurs right before the Yamunotri temple.

What to Expect While Trekking

On reaching Jankichatti which is the last road head for Yamunotri your trekking expedition to the main temple of Yamunotri commences. This will be a journey of 6 kms and will take you through some of the most picturesque and scenic views of the valleys below. The route is rough and goes through regular intervals of steepness, plains and descents. You will encounter a number of people making the journey on various alternate transport methods like palkis, dolis and mules the services which they had availed from Janki chatti. While going towards the temple on the right hand side you will be kept company with the tall green covered mountain peaks and the Yamuna river flowing below. People underestimate the beauty of this place and are just focussed at reaching their destination. Some parts of the trekking route also have broad stairs which makes it easier for the pilgrims to walk. You will also be viewing some fabulous waterfalls falling from a great height and also the towering snow clad mountain peaks which will be a sight to behold.

Amenities Available

There are several food facilities available on the trekking route to Yamunotri which springs to life especially during the peak seasons whereas during the off seasons the entire trekking route is either covered in snow or deemed inhospitable for trekking purposes. There are also various make shift tea stalls available offering maggi to eat. There are also some dhabas and small eating joints available to beat your hunger pangs that may arise due to walking.

Resting spots are also made to allow the pilgrims to rest for a bit before getting back to the journey. En route there are also some benches available along with shades to allow you to relax for a while in case you get tired while walking. There are also several water points available where you can refill your bottles.

Trekking Tips

The phone connectivity in during Yamunotri trek is primarily for BSNL and the reception is scattered and is strong only in some places. If you want continuous phone connectivity then you should carry a local phone with a BSNL sim card or you can inform your near and dear ones just before commencing the trekking journey.

Make sure that you are trekking in comfortable trekking gear like walking sticks, comfortable walking shoes and even a hat which will protect you from the scorching sun. It is also vital for you to carry a small backpack along with all your essentials like water bottle, trail mix, some Glucon-D, chocolates for an energy boost etc.

Remember to be in good shape before commencing your trekking journey. You should start walking regularly way before the starting of your journey or at least perform some breathing exercises it will in the end be extremely beneficial for your plans.

Morning after breakfast, relax for a while. Later drive to   Uttarkashi . Visit Shivgufa on the way to Uttarkashi. In   Uttarkashi   visit   Kashi Vishwanath Temple . After that, check in hotel. Day free for rest.   Overnight stay at Uttarkashi .   (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 4 Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 kms each side)

Early morning after breakfast, drive to   Gangotri . On the way visit Gangnani Hot Spring. Take a holy dip in Kund. Later drive to   Gangotri   via beautiful Harsil valley. On arrival at Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, after that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later return drive to  Uttarkashi . Overnight   stay at Uttarkashi .   (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 5 Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

Morning after breakfast, drive to   Guptkashi . Enroute you can see the beautiful   river Mandakini   at   Tilwara . The   Mandakini River   comes from   Kedarnath , drive alongside the river to reach   Guptakashi , visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in   Guptkashi . Overnight stay at Guptkashi.   (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 6 Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath

Morning after breakfast, today we will go to   Kedarnath . To reach Kedarnath you will have two options. One if by trekking and other is by Air via Helicopter ( at your own cost ).

By Helicopter:   Morning our driver will transfer you to your Helipad location ( Phata ,  Guptkashi ,  Sirsi  etc) as per helicopter ticket time. Kindly inform the driver timings of helicopter mentioned on the ticket previous day. Different aviation has different location for their helicopter service. Our driver will provide you both pick and drop to hotel . Kindly inform the driver timings of helicopter mentioned on the ticket. Advance booking is highly recommended for the helicopter.

By Trek:   To reach  Kedarnath  by trekking route first you have to reach  Gaurikund . We will drive to  Sonprayag  early in the morning after breakfast. Our car will drop to  Sonprayag . From  Sonprayag  5 kms drive to  Gaurikund  local jeep is available. This sharing basis jeeps guests can book directly at own cost.  Gaurikund  to  Kedarnath  is further 14 Kms trek .

After reaching the  Kedarnath visit Kedarnath Temple . Check in to the hotel/ashram. Visit Shankaracharya Samadhi. Overnight stay at Kedarnath. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 7 Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi

Morning after breakfast explore nearby areas by walk at Kedarnath. Later reach Guptkashi as per your choice by trek or Helicopter. 

By Helicopter:  Inform the driver when you leave for  Kedarnath  about your approximate return time and helipad name according to ticket. Our driver will pick up you from helipad and transfer you to your hotel.

By Trek:  Inform the driver approximate return time. Once you reach  Gaurikund  from  Kedarnath  by trek you can take local jeep till  Sonprayag . Our driver will meet here. Due to parking issue keep driver’s contact number with you and call him when you reach  sonprayag  so he can pick you up. 

Gaurikund  to  Sonprayag  local jeep at your own cost. Get packed breakfast from hotel to start early. Horse / Pony / Palakhi is also available for trekking at  Gaurikund.  Guests can book that at own cost.

At arrival check in to hotel in Guptkashi. Overnight stay at Guptkashi. (Meals: Dinner)

Day 8 Guptkashi – Joshimath – Badrinath

Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath . Check in to the hotel arrival in Badrinath. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in evening. Overnight stay at Badrinath. (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 9 Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag

Morning enjoy the after breakfast, drive for   Rudraprayag   via Joshimath. Visit on the way Darshan of   VishuPrayag ,   Narsingh Temple in Joshimath ,   KarnPrayag   and   NandPrayag . Check into the hotel arrival in   Rudraprayag . Overnight stay at   Rudraprayag .   (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 10 Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar

Morning after breakfast, drive for   Haridwar   /   Dehradun   /   Rishikesh . Drop at Hotel / Airport / railway station.   (Meals: Breakfast)

• Please read emails carefully and understand the contents and prices. All the email conversations will be also part of your contract with us once you make the booking.
• There is no deluxe facilities in Kedarnathji due to high altitude. There only serve you bed system.
• As per the directive given by the Government of India, all Indian/Foreign Nationals are required to provide proper proof of identification upon check-in. valid identifications documents are: Passport & Visa together, Voters Id card, Current Drivers License, Aadhar Card. All the documents must include a photograph.
• Hotel / camps or any kind of accommodation can deny stay if valid id proof is not provided. Company is not responsible for any ID proof related issues.
• Generally hotel check in time is 14:00 hrs and checkout time is 11:00 hrs across India. Confirm early check in or late checkout will be chargeable if not included in cost. Kindly contact hotel directly if you want complimentary early check in or late check out.
• If meals are included in package it will be served at set menu basis in a buffet menu / fixed / meal credit. Any items which are not in their in ideal Buffet / Fixed menu will be charged extra at the time of consumption. Hotels decide the menu and options of items for menu. Some hotels having Meal credit policy instead of Buffet or
• Fixed Menu during low occupancy in hotel – This meal credit amount is decided by hotel management – if bills goes above the given meal credit amount then extra amount should be paid directly at respective hotel. Room service for the food or packing is charged extra at many hotels. Normally in Chardham you will get north
• Indian type food only and most of the standard and deluxe hotels give thali if meals are included in package.
• Breakfast Timing: 07:00 Am to 09:00 AM And Dinner: 07:00 PM to 10:00 PM (About the timing you can contact hotel management before.)
• Normally for extra bed on double sharing rooms many hotels has rollaway bed while rest of the hotels provide extra mattress only. If you are not comfortable with mattress system instead of bed let us know in advance.
• In hill areas or Chardham many hotels don’t have ac so if you insist ac only kindly confirm with the company regarding the same. Lift facility & power back up is not available in most of the hotels in Chardham. Wifi facility and room heater is mostly chargeable but don’t expect good wifi in Chardham hotels due to network issues most of the time.
• Most of the hotels in Chardham are not running full year so don’t expect similar service and room quality like you get in Haridwar-Rishikesh in the same price range. Especially in may June and other busy days the budget/standard hotels in Chardham can cost more than deluxe hotel in Haridwar-Rishikesh or Delhi. Also if you want to stay good hotels with good reviews you need to book at least 3 months before in may June and 1-2 month before in Oct Nov season as good hotels are mostly booked in advance by groups. In Kedarnath there is only basic dharamshala / budget hotel type basic facility only even if your package is luxury in Kedarnath don’t expect even deluxe rooms.

Vehicle Terms & Conditions:

• AC will not work in all hill areas or stopped / parked vehicle. Hill areas will start from Dehradun onwards as well from Rishikesh onwards and ac will not work beyond those points. If you want AC in the hills during road journey then the rates per vehicle A/C Per day at Hills are: Indigo/Dzire/Etios @ Rs 300 per day, Innova /Tavera/Bolero @ Rs 400 per day and Tempo 12 seater @ Rs 500 per day.
• Vehicle will be permitted to use for sightseeing points on the route and inside the city limits or which is mentioned in itinerary. For additional sightseeing, off route sightseeing, sightseeing not inside the city limits or substitute sightseeing kindly contact company. Refund is not possible if any particular sightseeing point is not covered. In case you want some excursions kindly inform company in advance or discuss these things with company rather than driver. All nearby sightseeing points should be covered together. However in case of sometime issues with some particular place we can adjust. In Chardham route some of the places are not on the way like Trijuginarayan , Lakhamandal , Auli , Kalimath , Neelkanth Mahadev , AdiBadri , Bhavishya Badri etc. Kindly contact directly to company in case you want to include these places rather than driver.
• Due to any reason if Vehicle breakdown due to technical reasons we will try our best to arrange another vehicle as soon as possible for the major problems. For minor problems which will not take much time vehicle will be repaired. Kindly cooperate.
• We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, closures/blockades due to political unrest or any such incidents.
• In case the driver is not cooperative kindly contact company on the spot.
• Driver will not drive on No-entry zones and should not be forced to drive on narrow streets or roads which can create traffic jam. Normal working hours of driver is 12 hrs in case you want services more than 12 hours in a day kindly inform us in advance.
• In some hill area roads driving after sunset and music is not allowed due to risk of life. Kindly cooperate for the same.
• Pick up and drop point will be one only (If multiple pickups and drop please mentions email conversation before booking)
• In case you want multiple visit to the some particular place kindly mention in advance because some places are having very high charges of parking.
• Tour destination / route cannot change without prior notice (Amended route and tour Destination rates may be change)
• The rates are subject to change, depending on the fluctuation of diesel/Petrol prices in India. If the prices increased more than 5 % than the time of booking we will increase the rate even if the rates are confirmed earlier.
• Company reserves the right to give you a similar car if the car you booked is unavailable.
• At many of the tourist destination / hill station - some of the road / shopping market / mall road have "NO ENTRY" for all / some bigger tourist vehicles depends on destination along with time restrictions also. In this kind of situation guest have to manage another available mode of transport with an additional cost and on direct payment basis, this cost is not included in ideal package inclusion.
• Some time vehicle parking area little far from the sightseeing spots. Guests need to reach the parking at their own cost.
• No refund for short stay or unveiled facilities.
• No cancellation or any refund will be made if situation is beyond our control, such as bad weather, landslide, climatic conditions or any other natural disaster, fire, any embargo, acts or decisions of government, political or national crisis, road blocks, heavy snow fall, acts of terrorism or other similar causes, strikes or problems at airlines, rails, buses, hotels or transporters, labor unrest, insolvency, business exigencies, operational and technical issues, route and flight cancellations or due to which the customer could not reach the destination and which is beyond our control.
• Company is not responsible for any accident/injury/death/theft of person or property during the course of the tour.
• All rights reserved to management to cancel any service without any refund until full advance amount towards the service is received from the customer and accepted by company.
• Company Here by expressly disclaims any implied warranties imputed by the laws of any jurisdictions or country other than India. Company considers itself and intends to the jurisdictions only of the court of Haridwar, Uttarakhand India.

Designated Routes for Devotees

1. Rishikesh to Gangotri : Travel via Narendranagar, Chamba, Dharasu Band, Uttarkashi, Gangori, Bhatwadi, Harsil, to Gangotri.

2. Rishikesh to Yamunotri : The route passes through Narendranagar, Chamba, Dharasu Band, Brahmakhal, Radi Top, and ends at Dobata.

3. Dehradun to Yamunotri : Start at Dehradun and proceed through Damta, Naugaon, Barkot, Dobata, to Jankichatti.

4. Yamunotri to Gangotri : The journey continues from Jankichatti to Dobata, Radi Top, Brahmakhal, Dharasu Band, Uttarkashi, Gangori, Bhatwadi, Harsil, and Gangotri .

5. Gangotri to Kedarnath and Badrinath : Navigate through Harshil, Bhatwadi, Gangori, Tekhala, Mando, Manpur, Chowringhee, Lambgaon, to Srinagar.
