Day 1, Monday: Arrival in Dublin Airport & Afternoon City Tour

On arrival into Dublin Airport transfer directly to your hotel. At 2pm meet your tour guide at the hotel and begin a half day tour of Dublin. Drive through the main streets to see historic buildings such as Trinity College, where the famous Book of Kells is kept; the haunting portrait of the Famine Memorial; and rows of beautiful Georgian houses with brightly coloured doorways. Take a guided tour through parts of Dublin Castle , which was the seat of government for many years and today plays a leading role in political activities. Return to your hotel in time for your welcome dinner and informal get together. After dinner why not check out the Temple Bar area which often has great traditional music on offer. Overnight in Dublin, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Included.

Day 2, Tuesday: Dublin, Kilkenny - Dungarvan

Check out of your hotel and travel to Dungarvan in County Waterford, en-route visiting the magnificent Kilkenny Castle which dates back to 1391 and was the seat of the famous Butler family.  After some free time to explore Kilkenny travel onward to Dungarvan which is renowned for traditional Irish music, Irish song & dance and the Irish language.  This festival town has as a great name amongst traditional music supporters and it’s welcoming restaurants and pubs offer a unique experience in an old world atmosphere. After dinner this evening meet three well-known local musicians including Donnchadh Gough , an accomplished Uileann Pipes & Bodhran player from the acclaimed Irish music band ‘Danu’ for an informal recital and questions and answers session. Tonight take the time to explore Dungarvan’s traditional music scene, we recommend a trip to ‘The Local’ which has frequent live Traditional Irish Music. Overnight in Dungarvan, Dinner Bed & Breakfast Included.

Day 3, Wednesday: Lismore & Ring Music Session

Leave your hotel and travel the short distance to the heritage town of Lismore . Founded in 636, it was established as a monastic settlement that flourished to become one of the great centres of learning. After lunch (included), we visit Ring or 'An Rinn' in Irish which is an official Gaeltacht area near Dungarvan. In a Gaeltacht the spoken language is Irish and the Gaeltacht is also a great place to discover real traditional Irish Music. Visit Mooney’s Pub for a Traditional Music Session. Mooney’s is famous for sean-nós singing, traditional Irish music and late-night sessions. Writers, poets, film-makers and artists have used Mooney's as a meeting place for decades- the Dubliners, the Clancy Brothers and the Fury Brothers to name but a few. Overnight in Dungarvan, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Included.

Day 4, Thursday: Music & Dance in Ballyvourney

Travel to Ballyvourney , a Gaeltacht village in south-west cork and an area synonymous with Traditional Irish Music. En-route visit Blarney Castle which was built nearly 600 years ago by Cormac McCarthy, one of Ireland’s greatest chieftains.  After checking into your hotel meet Timmy ‘The Brit’ McCarthy , regarded by many as the most experienced set dance instructors in Ireland. After your class and dinner, meet Peadar Ó Riada for a talk on ‘The history and origins of traditional music and what it sounds like in an indigenous community’.  Peadar is the son of influential Irish musician and composer Sean Ó Riada, and has continued to follow in his father's footsteps. While his roots remain in Traditional Irish Music, Ó Riada has incorporated classical, Eastern, and European modern influences into his work also. Tonight try out your new dancing skills at the Thursday Night Trad Music Session in the Mills Inn bar. Overnight in Ballyvourney, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Included.

Day 5, Friday: Stories through Song & Gougane Barra

Leave your hotel and travel the short distance to the town of Inchigeelagh, here you will meet local man and renowned traditional singer, Joe Creedon . Joe has a keen interest in the oral history and traditions of Ireland, especially the practice of telling local stories and legends through songs and balladry. After some tea & scones, accompany Joe to the old Inchigeelagh church yard and through his songs and stories you will learn a little bit more about West Cork’s colourful history. Leave Inchigeelagh and head to Gougane Barra an area of outstanding natural beauty; here you will spend time with another local guide. Gougane Barra has been the subject of many songs and stories a local and well-known poet Máire Bhuí Uí Laoghaire for example immortalised the area in verse through her poem ‘Cath Céim an Fhia (The Battle of Keimaneigh)’. Overnight in Ballyvourney, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Included.

Your tour of Ireland takes you to Dingle today via the pretty town of Killarney where you will have some time to peruse the shops or have a bite to eat if you wish. On arrival in Dingle the remainder of the day is free for your own personal sightseeing or shopping. Dingle Town is one of the few places in Ireland where you can enjoy traditional Irish music any night of the week. In addition there are weekly Summer Concerts in St. James Church with the Dingle Beehive Theatre Company providing the entertainment. Overnight in Dingle, Bed & Breakfast Included.

Day 7, Sunday: The Dingle Peninsula

Following breakfast depart the hotel and begin a tour of the Dingle Peninsula . Perhaps not as well-known as the Iveragh Peninsula where the Ring of Kerry is located, the Dingle Peninsula is less busy but every bit as beautiful. Visit the dry stone early Christian church Gallarus Oratory. According to local lore, if you can successfully climb through the window at the back of the building your soul will then be cleansed, however as you will discover, this is a little hard to do! Then to the west of the town the scenery is particularly rugged with views out to the formerly inhabited Blasket Islands. Visit the Blasket Centre which tells the story of the Blasket Islanders, the unique literary achievements of the island writers and their culture and traditions. Return to Dingle for more Ceol agus Craic! Overnight in Dingle, Bed & Breakfast Included.

Tim Grimm

Tim Grimm is a bit of a Renaissance man in the performing arts world, forging a rich and varied career that blends his love of songwriting, travel, and acting in theatre, film and television. For most of his 25-year career as a storytelling balladeer in the tradition of John Prine, Woody Guthrie, and Bob Dylan, Tim has written primarily about community, history, family, and social issues – often framed by his strong sense of place and the many years he spent on the family farm he built in rural Indiana. His songs are filled with rural characters and landscapes, written and sung with vivid warmth and intimacy.

Tim’s new album, THE LITTLE IN-BETWEEN (March 2023), is an evocative evolution from his previous albums – and his most personal to date, written in three intense months during the winter of 2021-22. This album traces his travel between the hills of southern Indiana and the Oklahoma prairie – and his internal journey from a rich past to an unexpected future – using a first-person voice in every song to illuminate a deep inner territory that historically remained more submerged in his work. This fertile creative year also yielded forays into visual art, with Tim using pastels and charcoal to create striking folk-art style triptychs, pieces of which now form the visual art featured on the new album cover and booklet.

Tim’s second-newest album, GONE was the #1 album on folk radio for 2021, and its title song was released as a single in October of 2020 and ended up the #1 most played song on Folk radio for the year.

After pursuing a degree in political science at Earlham College, Tim earned an MFA in Theatre at The University of Michigan and began working in professional regional theatre, settling in Chicago. There, in addition to his theatre work (with renowned companies like Steppenwolf, The Goodman, and others), he studied briefly at the Old Town School of Folk Music and began writing songs and performing them. And then, “Hollywood called”, and Tim put down his guitar and pen, and didn’t really pick them up for close to 10 years. After several years working as an actor in Los Angeles in the 1990s, where he co-starred for 2 seasons on the NBC drama Reasonable Doubts, worked on the film A Clear and Present Danger with Harrison Ford, and appeared in numerous other films and tv projects, Tim returned home to Indiana.  He grew up in the woods and small-town settings of southern Indiana, son of schoolteachers and grandson of farmers, and his return home was a conscious choice to live a life of significance rather than one of “success’.

In 2001, Tim wrote the music for the stage play AMBER WAVES at Indiana Repertory Theatre with Jason Wilber of the John Prine band. In 2005, he was asked to compose music and act in a production of THE GRAPES OF WRATH at Indiana Repertory Theatre and Syracuse Stage in New York. In 2007, Tim put together a concept cd with several of the Midwest’s finest songwriter’s— Krista Detor, Carrie Newcomer, Tom Roznowski, and Michael White. That recording, WILDERNESS PLOTS (drawn from the short stories of noted author Scott Russell Sanders) explored the settling of the American Wilderness in the Ohio River Valley Region between The Revolutionary War and The Civil War. Two PBS programs have subsequently explored Wilderness Plots– the first, a documentary on the story and song, and the second a full Wilderness Plots-In Concert (2012). Produced by WTIU in Bloomington, IN, both productions were nominated for EMMY AWARDS. Tim continued to write songs based on Sander’s writings and released the album WILDERNESS SONGS AND BAD MAN BALLADS in 2011.

In addition to his own yearly music tours in the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy, Tim has worked with Ireland’s Inishfree Tours for many years, bringing Americans (and Dutch and Germans!) to the Emerald Isle for 9 days and nights of music and day trips exploring 3 select Counties. Guests who travelled with Tim encouraged him to lead groups elsewhere, which led to the creation of his company, Scotland Folk Tours (scotlandfolktours.com). Partnering with amazing Scottish guides, Scotland Folk Tours brings noted American folk musicians to lead tours of Scotland featuring delicious local meals, culture, beautiful scenery, and evenings of traditional live music.

Tim currently splits his time between a 100-year-old cottage in Oklahoma (where he and his partner Alissa host a new house concert series called Red Dirt Folk Salon) and 50 acres of pristine Southern Indiana woods purchased by his father in 1971.

I can't speak highly enough of this tour company.

We are already talking about which tour we'll take next with Vagabond Driftwood tours and we've barely unpacked from this one!

Review Image

This trip was a wonderful mixture of seeing the sites and still truly experiencing the culture. The pace was good and our tour guides Michael and Roísín were top-notch ... They were filled with so much knowledge, were so kind, and truly love what they do! I cannot wait to book another Vagabond tour in the future.

Recent Testimonial

“We have been contemplating the words to include in our testimonial regarding our WAMT with Sean Tyrrell since our return from Ireland. We knew this would be a difficult task because our tour was so much more than we anticipated. To say that we loved every minute is not an exaggeration but then Bob and I have a long-standing love affair with this beautiful Emerald Isle.

Eddie and Robert are the perfect tour directors and their meticulous planning was evident throughout the seven days. We have been on a few tours in the past but none are comparable. We stayed in lovely boutique hotels along the Wild Atlantic Way in quaint Irish villages with a backdrop of breathtaking scenery, giving us a taste of what it would be like to live on this magical island. The Trad music sessions and being entertained by Sean and friends was outstanding and so intimate in the pub setting. The instrument makers, Tom Cussen and Eugene Lambe, demonstrating their skills and obvious love and passion of their craft was endearing to witness.

The “Unique Musical Experience”at the Tyrrell family home hosted by Sean’s lovely wife Connie was a definite highlight of the week. The entertainment was superb and there was the opportunity to meet other family members and neighbours who all pitched in to help make it a very special and unforgettable evening. An added bonus was the performances by many talented individuals on our tour who wowed us many times along our journey and that evening playing their various instruments, story telling, singing and Irish step dancing. Just picture it… needless to say Bob and I were on “Cloud 9” that night which was truly magical. I can’t forget to mention the yummy homemade apple and rhubarb pies that we enjoyed among other culinary delights. The session at Christy Barry’s Doolin Music House needs to be mentioned, it was a memorable event and so much fun!!

If we were to pick a favorite  Bob and I both agree that we could not choose. An added treat was being able to meet and become acquainted with the music of Sean’s lovely daughter Áine Tyrrell, a very talented musician like her father. She was conveniently on a music tour of her homeland and we were introduced to her strong voice and meaningful lyrics. After our WAMT we now have a deeper appreciation of traditional Irish music.

Needless to say Eddie and Robert you have raised the bar really high-how can we go on another tour and not compare? We are looking forward to the experience of another WAMT in the near future. How can we not come back to do this once again? Thank you to Eddie, Robert and Sean, the Celtic culture, the music, the people we met along the way made this a trip of a lifetime. Ireland truly is a magical place and it has touched our lives once more.

Five stars!!”

inclusion

Upon arrival to Dublin, prepare to be transferred to your hotel to drop off your bags and check-in. On arrival at the Dublin airport, you will meet your Irish tour guide. You will have an orientation tour on the way to the hotel through central Dublin including O'Connell Street, Custom House, and Phoenix Park, the largest city park in Europe and Trinity College. In the afternoon, the group will visit the Guinness Storehouse with a pint of the black stuff while overlooking the city in the Gravity Bar at the end of the visit. The group may have some free time to discover Dublin by themselves depending on what time the flight arrives. That evening, you will have a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. This traditional Irish evening in the Dublin mountains involves Irish singing and dancing experiences with exceptional food. On several occasions, the unforgettable traditional dinner and show has been awarded "Best Traditional Dinner/Show in Ireland."

Travel west to Galway with a visit to Clonmacnoise Monastery on the way, which is the most impressive of Ireland’s countless monasteries. It is Ireland's most important monastic site, overlooking the River Shannon. The site was founded by St. Ciaran in the 6th century and consists of a walled field containing numerous early churches, high crosses, round towers, and graveyard. The group will have a panoramic walking tour of Galway on arrival which will include Eyre Square, Spanish Arch, and the port area before culminating at Galway Cathedral for a visit. Galway is known for its friendly vibe and as a haven for traditional Irish music, played both in its pubs and out on its streets.

Depart Galway and head south to county Clare for a 1-hour cruise at the foot of the Cliffs of Moher. This ferry will depart and return to the port near the town of Doolin. The cruise will give the group a unique perspective of the cliffs and will allow them to appreciate their grandeur. In the afternoon, in the town of Doolin, the group will have an authentic and intimate experience of Irish folk music at Doolin Music House that includes a light lunch. This will be one of the highlights of the trip! Afterwards, the group will head further south to your hotel in county Kerry, taking the Tarbert ferry across the Shannon Estuary on the way.

After your breakfast, meet with your driver in the lobby of the hotel and prepare to depart via coach towards Ring of Kerry. This is a must for any trip to Ireland and is Ireland’s most famous road trip, 180km the entire way around. Due to the narrow roads, coaches can only travel anti-clockwise around it. The group will see towns such as Cahirciveen, Waterville, Sneem and Killarney, stopping for lunch on the way. The highlight of this road trip includes the views on the 15km long cliff-side road from Waterville to Caherdaniel and, Ladies’ View and Molls Gap which can be seen before arrival in Killarney. The coach will pull in for photo stops on numerous occasions throughout the day of course so you can really take in the splendid scenery.

Travel to Cork in the morning with a panoramic tour of the city upon arrival. Cork is affectionately called the “the real capital” by its inhabitants, referencing its important role both in the war of independence and the civil war. In music terms, Cork’s most famous export is the guitarist Rory Gallagher who inspired the likes of U2’s The Edge, Slash from Guns and Roses amongst many others. You will see the English Market, the Shandon Tower which overlooks the city and the City Centre itself which has been greatly modernized since the turn of the century. The tour will finish up with a visit to St Fin Barre’s Cathedral. Then you will visit the Jameson Distillery (or Blarney Castle & Gardens) in the afternoon. This is Ireland’s most impressive distillery and is home to the largest pot still ever built! The group will enjoy a guided tour of the distillery followed by a whiskey tasting.

Travel to Dublin with a guided tour of the Irish Rock N’ Roll Museum in Temple Bar on arrival. After that, you will do a walking music tour of Dublin with local folk musicians (90 minute duration). The Coach will then transfer you to your hotel for check-in in Dublin, and then you will have dinner and he rest of your evening at your leisure.

Upon awakening, prepare for transfer from the hotel in Dublin to the airport in Dublin for your return flight back home.

The luck of the Irish is found in the gorgeous green island they call home. It’s a magical place abounding with poetry, music, dance, storytelling, castles and more! Legendary traditional Irish music is known around the globe. Its rich nature has captured the attention of listeners everywhere. Irish music's origins can be followed back to around 2,000 years ago when the Celts arrived in Ireland. Having been established in Eastern Europe since 500BC, the Celts were unquestionably influenced by the music of the East and indeed it is hypothesized that the Irish Harp originated in Egypt. While traveling to Ireland, the Celts left their stamp on the musical cultures of Spain and Brittany as well as in Scotland and Wales. However, it is in Ireland that the tradition has evolved most passionately, flourished most strongly and survived most courageously. A memorable performance opportunity is always the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. As the national holiday that is celebrated in more countries around the world than any other, St. Patrick’s Day is the day when everyone wants to be Irish, and there is no better way to experience it than by being in Ireland!

I've been traveling with the band since 1980 and this was the easiest trip ever for me. I simply had to do nothing but conduct the band! It's hard to believe it's taken me this long to get it right, slow learner! The students and parents have had nothing to say but wonderful things…

Music Travel Consultants Client Nan Moore

Nan Moore Director of Bands

We received numerous positive comments from students and parents about how well-organized the entire experience had been. And, fellow teachers and administrators told them how the students couldn’t stop talking about the trip once they were back in school!

Music Travel Consultants Client David Elliott

David Elliott Director of Bands

It’s rare anymore, but every once in a while, I contact a business that exceeds my expectations, like Music Travel Consultants. Our trip was just amazing. Music Travel outdid itself in every aspect. The attention to detail, and the wisdom to read the group, be flexible and think out of the box was refreshing. The students, chaperones, parents, and myself were blown away with the sights and unforgettable experiences every day. We have memories from this trip that we will cherish for decades. Music Travel Consultants Client Chris Taylor

When the Blue Springs Golden Regiment attends a Bands of America event, Music Travel Consultants is our first call. Few companies understand the many challenges and “ins and outs” that encompass a BOA show. MTC takes the stress of travel and scheduling away so the staff can focus on teaching music!

Music Travel Consultants Client Dr. Tim Allshouse

Dr. Tim Allshouse Director of Bands

Traveling in Italy is to witness its great treasures, but to perform in Italy is to experience the true heart of the country and its people. Our concert in Florence was in a beautiful medieval church, just off the main square, and we played for a packed house that spilled into the orchestra!

Music Travel Consultants Client Grady Emmert

Grady Emmert Florence International Music Festival participant

When it comes to traveling with my group, I trust the folks over at MTC implicitly! Our parents and students are always impressed with the level of detail that goes in to the planning of our trips. There is simply none better.

Music Travel Consultants Client Camilla M. Stasa

Camilla M. Stasa Director of Participant Relations and Special Projects, MFA/BOA

I have been using Music Travel Consultants since 2004 and have always been pleased with their organization, professionalism and their ‘can do’ attitude. In 2007 while at BOA Grand Nationals our charter jet broke down just before we were to load to fly home Saturday night.  MTC was able to get all 287 of us in a hotel within two hours and set up flights for us the next day. I can’t imagine another agency being able to do that so MTC will always take my group to Indiana!

Music Travel Consultants Client Mark Stone

Mark Stone Director Emeritus, Ayala HS

Orlando 2018 was a wonderful experience for our students, ensembles, and adult travelers! The tour was designed to provide opportunities for each of the four facets of the music department, the group as a whole, and unique opportunities that would set this trip apart. Our Orlando trip, prepared and presented by Music Travel Consultants, was well organized, creative, and presented in person. MTC's online portal for registeration, payments, and organization. Working with the trip details of rooms, bus lists, payments, and trip documents was a tremendous organizational tool and time saver as a director. The team at Music Travel Consultants delivered an outstanding tour of Disney performances and clinic opportunities for our students. The students enjoyed fun at many of the Disney Parks, great accommodations at Flamingo Crossings, and special events including a final ride on Soarin' and the private party at Test Track. All were a hit and success with the students! Most importantly, the knowledge, expertise, and flexibility of the MTC staff in adjusting meal stops and schedules to accommodate the group made the trip. Thank you to our MTC Orlando Team and everyone at Music Travel Consultants!

Music Travel Consultants Client Thad Driskell

Thad Driskell Director of Bands, Jefferson HS

Chris Forsythe and the MTC team were super in dealing with the postponement of the trip due to the pandemic. The staff's professionalism and accessibility was outstanding as they worked with the numerous questions, concerns, itinerary adjustments and personalities of adult travelers. Chris was always concerned with our safety, happiness in the experiences and comfort for both performances and sight-seeing adventures. Mirjam, our guide, was phenomenal in taking charge, accommodating requests and managing needy travelers, all while loving on us as individuals and as a group. She was funny, direct, strong, compassionate and her heart made us fall in love with her as a person. Tonya and the charter bus were great as well. She kept the coach clean, drove on tiny streets and was flexible with her schedule and time to help us as visitors to her country/city. The performance venues and contacts were unbelievable. Each were unique, friendly and acoustically and musically a blessing to perform in. The participation in the mass at the Basilica de Estrella was a special addition to the concert offerings. The large crowds were welcoming and seemed to love our repertoire. The overall tour way exceeded my expectations. The ENTIRE ensemble, guest travelers and staff were nothing but pleased by our trip and tour experience. - Thanks to all involved.

Music Travel Consultants Client Scott Bradford

Scott Bradford Artistic Director, Castlewood Singers

Our experience with Music Travel Consultants was the best travel experience we have had. Music Travel Consultants took care of every detail. The trip was a trip of a lifetime for my students and chaperones. The attention to detail and efficiency was amazing. Everything from the kick-off meeting, attention to our wants and needs, customizing our itinerary, accounting, billing, and especially the customer care was top notch. I can’t wait to take my next MTC trip!

Music Travel Consultants Client Brian Saylor

Brian Saylor Director of Choral Music at Bismarck HS

The staff members at MTC are organized, professional, and courteous. They understand the logistical necessities when traveling with large groups of students and their customer service is SECOND TO NONE.

Music Travel Consultants Client Brent W. Biskup

Brent W. Biskup Director of Bands, Flower Mound HS

As director of bands at Stephen F. Austin HS, Texas, I took groups to Carnegie Hall, Midwest Clinic and two Bands of America Grand National educational performance trips. Our trip with Music Travel Consultants was, without question, the best organized and most memorable in my 21 years of teaching. Amazing...

Music Travel Consultants Client Dean Westman

Dean Westman Orchestra Director, Avon HS 3-Time BOA Grand National Champion

In my forty years of teaching high school band I have used three different music travel companies. In my experience, I have found the Music Travel Consultants to be the most professional, most accommodating, and enjoyable company to work with when you are traveling with a large group of students and parents. They are my go to company whenever we begin planning a band trip. I highly recommend this outstanding company.

Music Travel Consultants Client Bill Stultz

Bill Stultz Director of Bands, Columbus North HS

Our trip was well received by the staff, students and parents. It was very organized, and it was obvious that a considerable amount of thought was put into the trip. Excellent Job! The Music Travel staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and I thought it was great that they were on the bus with us from the moment we took off until we arrived back home. I would definitely recommend Music Travel to another traveling group. Thanks for an awesome trip!

Music Travel Consultants Client Chad Allard

Chad Allard Associate Director of Bands, Jefferson HS

Planning a trip through Music Travel Consultants is the best possible option, period. Their knowledge of the music world is beyond helpful when planning and running logistics. They are easy to work with, flexible and handle their business. The no-hassel trip across the country allowed me and my staff to focus on the teaching and making sure the kids were ready to perform.

Music Travel Consultants Client Joe Avery

Music Travel Consultants friend Bart Woodley

Bart Woodley Director of Operations and Sponsor Relations WGI Sport of the Arts

Music Travel Consultants is the only choice for a World-Class experience in group travel. My Travel Designer Chris Forsythe and Tour Director Paige Carter made sure that every detail of booking, organizing and taking a large group out of state went super-smooth. I have nothing but rave reviews for this incredible company. The Rouse Band program is a MTC customer for life!

Music Travel Consultants Client Jason Robb

Jason Robb Rouse HS, Director of Bands

MTC was the first travel company I worked with to organize our trip to WGI championships and it will be the only one I will continue to use because of their professionalism and personable customer experience. The knowledgeable staff provided me with insights that helped our ensemble have many rewarding trips that left lasting impressions on all of our students. The guide that joined us have always been warm, welcoming, and extremely accommodating for all of our ensemble’s needs. Thank you to all of the team members that assisted us throughout our journey!

Music Travel Consultants friend Scott K. Tanaka

Scott K. Tanaka Director of Percussion, San Marino HS

The attention to details, combined with the technology of cutting-edge travel tools, and topped off with their incredible and caring staff, has long made MTC one of the VERY BEST choices for student music travel in the country. They have always been a national “go to” with bands and orchestras, and for good reason. Now with the addition of Heart of America (HOA) and other upcoming choir events to their roster, MTC has positioned themselves not only as the best in the industry for instrumental ensembles, but for choral ensembles as well. As the creator and (former) owner of Heart of America, I was absolutely thrilled and knew immediately upon meeting Mark and Ryan that HOA would not only survive, but THRIVE with the leadership, vision, technology and staff that MTC brings to the table.

Music Travel Consultants friend Chad Alexander

Chad Alexander Heart of America

Music Travel Consultants is the first choice for the PHHS Choral Department! They consistently display great communication, offer wonderful performance opportunities and genuinely care for the students and parents that travel with them. MTC has made it a breeze to take performance trips full of educational opportunities.

Music Travel Consultants friend Erin Archer

Erin Archer Choral Director, Pendleton Heights HS

Our experience with Music Travel Consultants has always been world class! Every detail is planned and accounted for in a professional manner. This allows our students and families to enjoy the experience and focus on delivering excellent performances when we travel. I would highly recommend MTC to any ensemble considering travel!

Music Travel Consultants friend Alex Rector

Alex Rector Director of Bands, Hardin Valley Academy Band

Taking the band to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl was a once in a lifetime experience and one that the students will remember for the rest of their lives. Performing our halftime show in Mercedes-Benz stadium for the Field Competition, as well as marching the parade and performing in the mass band for the bowl game, was incredibly exciting and something that I will never forget. Using Music Travel to put this trip together was the best decision that we could have made. For every major trip, from here on out, we will be in contact with Emily and Music Travel Consultants to make it happen.

Music Travel Consultants friend Rodney Brown

Rodney Brown West HS, Director of Bands

The entire Music Travel Consultants Team is to be commended for an absolutely wonderful experience for my students. From our initial parent meeting to the last handshake after boarding the bus to go home, Music Travel Consultants worked hard to make our students’ experience the best it could be. MTC’s easy accessibility proved to be invaluable, and throughout the planning process MTC provided guidance, offered helpful suggestions, and made the daunting task of putting a trip like this together much less intimidating. I would recommend Music Travel Consultants to anyone interested in traveling with their school music groups, and I wish them nothing but continued success in the future!

Music Travel Consultants Client Gregg Norris

Gregg Norris Band Director, Sidney Senior HS

We were so glad to use Music Travel for our first trip out of state to WGI in California. Our guide was so very helpful and took a ton of pressure off of me during the trip. Not having to deal with bus transportation, where to go for meals and checking in and out of hotels and airports was invaluable to me since I was already in charge of about 30 people. I wouldn't hesitate to use Music Travel again! Thank you for all the help, organization and attention to details!

Music Travel Consultants friend René Ormae-Jarmer

René Ormae-Jarmer KINGSMEN THUNDER Drum Line and Winter Indoor Percussion, Rex Putnam HS

With this our first time competing at Grand Nationals I wanted the students, staff, and parents to have a world class experience and MTC did that for us.  They handled every detail for us each step of the way. If anyone is thinking of traveling you must consider MTC; you won’t regret it.

Music Travel Consultants Client Rickey Langdale

Music Travel Consultants friend Deana Broge

Valley Christian’s experience teaming with Music Travel Consultants has been nothing short of spectacular. MTC has proven to be an invaluable partner in the planning and execution of our educational travel experiences. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and are dedicated to providing the absolute best customer service each step of the way. Quite simply…they get it!

Music Travel Consultants Client Troy Gunter

Troy Gunter Vice President/Director, Conservatory of the Arts

MTC will be my only call when planning student travel in the future. Customer service is one of their greatest attributes. They have gotten our groups out of many travel jams. I don’t know how they do it but, holding a plane at the gate for an hour and a half for our students to make their connection on one trip, to rebooking with a new charter airline only days before takeoff are some amazing things this great group of professionals can do. Their tour directors become someone on our team who meet or exceed the standard of excellence I have within my own band program. I know I don’t need to worry about the details because MTC ensures everything is taken care of.

Music Travel Consultants friend David Lesser

David Lesser Director of Bands, Clovis North HS

It was easy to work with Emily to plan our trip. When she visited the school for parent meetings, she was well spoken and presented Music Travel and the trip well. The tour directors were great. Very helpful and professional. We enjoyed our trip and will use Music Travel again for future tours.

Music Travel Consultants friend Krista Roorbach

Krista Roorbach Heritage Christian School

I can’t begin to explain how refreshing it is, as a band director who has to worry about every last detail, to not have to be concerned with these logistics. We appreciate your staff on every level: design, implementation, working with some of our parents, problem solving, etc. To top it off, you present yourselves to the band each and every day with such positivity and energy. We truly are left to believe that we are the only band you’ve ever worked with! Thank you for the detail and the care – it is not unnoticed! MTC is the real deal

Music Travel Consultants friend Brian Phillips
