Harmon Travel Service has been serving the Treasure Valley since 1957. Our humble beginning was formed around the kitchen table of Earl and Eleanor Harmon with their seven children in Hammett, Idaho. Now with the third generation of Harmon leadership Sean Harmon (US Army Retired) leads the office adjusting to the ever evolving changes in the travel industry We are very proud of the contributions we have made throughout the years to the community as members of the Boise Chamber of Commerce and the Boise State Alumni Association. I am honestly so disappointed. I contacted Katrina Hegge at Harmon at the recommendation of my sister's coworker. My sisters and I are trying to plan a big trip to Greece in September for my 40th birthday and emailed her in the middle of February. At first she was very responsive and we were able to provide all the information she needed to start putting together an itinerary and quote. And that's about where it ended. The first time she said she would get back to us, we never heard from her until I emailed her a week and a half later asking for an update. She said she was putting other trips together and that she would have everything together by another date. That date came and went and again nothing until I emailed and asked for an update. At this point it's a month later on 3/19/24 and she said she would have the finalized quote by 3/21/24. Never heard from her and I emailed on 4/2/24 saying that if she doesn't get back to us by the end of the week then we were going to pursue other options. She finally emailed back on 4/5/24 and just said "Hey here's the quote for flights, hotels and activities" never acknowledging her lack of communication or anything! So I go back on Harmon's website, willing to give another chance, and find a different agent, Holly McLean, who, in her bio, states she specializes in Greece. We thought it would at least be worth it to reach out to her and see if she'd be able to help us. Well that was 4/9/24 and here we are 4/15/24 and still haven't heard back from Holly. We are five months out now from a big trip and have to start all over and plan it ourselves. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND CONSIDER HARMON TRAVEL FOR YOUR NEXT TRIP!!

What a waste of time. I had emailed Katerina a number of times. Regarding our trip dates and inquires regarding her recommendations. She said she had emailed me information, never received it. Asked for her to resend it. No response. By this time our trip was a month away and I had to start making my own reservations. So upsetting, I really was excited to get some help and was happy to pay for services.

They out did themselves!! It was a DISASTER!! Worked with an agent on the phone in constant contact. Was coming in from Caldwell to meet her at their office in Boise. Accident on the freeway was going to put me 5 mins late according to my GPS. Called and left a message. Upon arriving looked as though no one was there. Banged on the door until finally someone came. She told me my agent went home a couple hours ago because she wouldn't be able to assist me until the next day. No call, no message, no contact ... I was so angry as I complained to myself how unprofessional the agents behavior had been - as I drove back towards Caldwell and home. I vowed NEVER to do business with them.

Hello Del Rae, We do not have a record of a situation like this happening recently. One did happen a couple of years ago when a client had been delayed past closing and our safes had been locked for the day. If this is not the situation please contact Bob Harmon at 208-388-3000 to discuss the experience further!

In addition to the travel agency services which I didn't use, Harmon Travel Service also operates a travel goods store. It's loaded with all those specialty items like luggage locks, packing cubes and travel gear with many, many pockets, etc. I went in originally for a luggage lock, but ended up buying a packing cube as well. Barbara, the travel agent/cashier asked me if I had a discount coupon. I didn't, but she gave me a coupon and used it to take off 10% of my purchase instead making me come back again. Being from out of town, this was a pleasant surprise and made a $3.40 savings too. Easy parking outside the building and lots of travel goodies to tempt you for your next trip.

If it wasn't for Danielle at Harmon travel my destination wedding would of been a disaster!! She worked with me for over a year to ensure that my husband and I had the most perfect wedding. She successfully organized our 33 guests as we traveled to an all inclusive resort in Cancun. Throughout the whole wedding planning process she made herself very accessible (answering thousands of questions and provided dozens of detailed spreadsheets) to me and my guests. After planning such a successful wedding she blew me away again by finding us a killer deal on our honeymoon. If you're in the market for a destination wedding, a great honeymoon or even a fun vacation Danielle is the girl you're looking for! I will never plan another vacation without her!

My experience with travel agent Danielle Stephens at Harmon Travel was nothing short of terrible. The first time I met with Danielle, she gave me an itinerary of ideas for hotels and activities for our trip to Australia. At first, it seemed like she would be a resource for us and help us plan many facets of our trip. Turns out, she over-promised and gave us misinformation so that we would commit to working with her. When I began to realize what was happening, she had already got me to commit to a $500 non-refundable deposit. From the beginning, she misled us about pricing on hotel rooms, applying for our visas, and flight costs. She told us incorrect information about exchange rates, costs to book specific seats on our flights, what to budget for food, and how to check if our visas had been approved. She repeatedly told us she would provide an itemized list of costs and no matter how many times we asked for that, she would not reveal to us what exactly we were paying for-including the fees she charged us. And then, when we called her on that, she lied to cover up and justify the costs. Obviously, that added a significant amount of stress and anxiety to our trip. Going over details with Danielle felt like a hostile negotiation in which she used confusion and lies to justify higher prices. I believe in the end, we overpaid for our trip and hassled with things like transportation services and room bookings that we would not have had to if we just booked our trip directly. The trip to Australia actually turned out great. We had an amazing time with little to no hiccups. I highly recommend going to Australia if you get the opportunity. However, I would never use Danielle or Harmon Travel again.

Chi, we are so sorry you felt disappointed with Danielle, but are glad you had a great time in Australia. At this time, Danielle is no longer employed at Harmon Travel. With so many options and unknowns in this day and age of travel, a travel advisor should be a very important asset. We strive to maximize the value and experience for our clients to best suit their needs. We hope you will reconsider another Harmon Travel advisor who might be a better fit.
