Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato Announce 'Future Now' Tour

The music superstars will launch their "Future Now" tour next year.

— -- Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas fans rejoice; the pair announced today they are heading out together on tour.

“Nick and I have decided, and we are announcing, that we are going on tour next year,” Lovato, 23, said today on “ Good Morning America " of "Future Now: The Tour."

Demi Lovato Explains Conflicting Emotions Behind Song 'Father'

Watch nick jonas perform on the 'big' piano at fao schwarz.

The pair, who first appeared together in Disney’s “Camp Rock” in 2008, said they are joining forces mainly for their fans.

“Demi and I were business partners and, obviously, have a long history of being friends, but the chief for us was about living in this moment, taking a step out individually over the last year-and-a-half, two years, and growing with our fans and then saying, you know, if there was ever a time to do it, it’s now,” Jonas, also 23, said. “[We’re] so excited to get in front of our fans and rally curate the moment each night.”

Lovato called making sure their fans enjoy the tour the “most important thing.”

“The most important thing is taking the show on the road and getting to share this experience with all the fans that have supported this music for the past, you know, couple of years,” she said.

Jonas has already been a part of one of Lovato’s world tours, behind the scenes, when he served as the musical and creative director of Lovato’s “Neon Lights” tour in 2014.

“I was part of the creative team on the tour and the chance to work behind the scenes was fun but now, to do this together, is really special for both of us,” Jonas said.

The “Jealous” and “Cool for the Summer” singers are also business partners, launching their own Safehouse Records record label in May.

“We kind of looked at each other a couple of years ago, about two years ago, and said we each had our own journey with not feeling safe to create, right, and as an artist you have to be vulnerable to do your best work, or we found that that’s the case,” Jonas explained of their inspiration. “…It’s about a community of people feeling comfortable to release things they want to release and have that support, starting with Demi and I, and eventually branching out to other artists and signing new people is the goal but it’s been an incredibly exciting couple of months for us.”

They launched the venture with their shared manager, Phil Mcintyre, and say the label is about creating an environment in which to create music but also one in which the artist feels supported emotionally.

“It’s kind of that overall kind of wellness type of environment that you can create music in,” Lovato said.

Lovato and Jonas also tweeted about the 2016 tour, including a link to RSVP for tickets.

Singer Demi Lovato and longtime friend Nick Jonas have announced a joint three-month North American tour “Future Now” that will begin next year.

The 44-date tour will open on June 24 at Florida’s BB&T Center and hit cities across the US and Canada before concluding on September 17 in Los Angeles, reported Aceshowbiz.

Tickets for the upcoming shows go on sale on November 7.

“Demi and I, we’re business partners, obviously have a long history of being friends. But the key for us was about living in this moment,” Jonas said when he made an appearance alongside Lovato on “Good Morning America” on Monday.

“Taking a step out individually over the last year and a half, two years, growing with our fans, and saying if there’s ever a time to do it, it’s now, to come together and do this tour,” Lovato added.

Festive offer

Prior to the tour, Lovato and Jonas, 23, have several times hit the road together in the past.

The 23-year-old “Cool for the Summer” singer joined her friend when he was still a part of Jonas Brothers on the group’s 2008, 2009 and 2010 tours. Jonas also helped produce Lovato’s “Neon Lights” tour last year.

The protagonist, Nandini, is constantly controlled by the men in her life, and her agency and choices remains a topic of debate.

Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato Joint Tour Dates

Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato are embarking on a North American joint tour. The news comes from Jonas himself, who shared the details during a radio interview Monday morning (Oct. 26).

They’ll be “working hard to make the best tour possible,” Jonas told Elvis Duran about the Future Now Tour. The tour will start on June 24, 2016 and will visit more than 40 cities in the U.S. and Canada, including New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Las Vegas and Vancouver.

The two former Disney stars go way back. In addition to their respective shows on the aforementioned network, they co-starred in the TV movie Camp Rock (alongside Lovato’s ex/Nick’s brother Joe), and Lovato was a supporting act on part of the Jonas Brothers’ 2009 tour.

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas Are Going on Tour Together

Former disney stars announced the "future now tour" monday.

Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas

OMG it's a Disney dream.

Nick Jonas confirmed Monday morning that he and Demi Lovato will be going on tour together. Dubbed the "Future Now Tour," Lovato and Jonas are going to be "working hard to make the best tour possible," the former JoBro told Elvis Duran .

The 23-year-old pop star also gave a few details about what fans can expect from the tour, including how many outfits audience members can expect to see. Jonas joked that he'll actually have more than Lovato.

"I'm going to have two more costume changes than Demi," he joked.

Between Lovato's Confident album and Jonas' hot tracks such as "Jealous" and "Chains" off his self-titled album, this tour will most likely be absolutely incredible. Anybody already having Camp Rock nostalgia?! And to think they started at sleep away camp and now they're all grown up going on a world tour.

PHOTOS: Nick Jonas' hottest looks

The Disney duo have been friends for a long time, so long, in fact, that Lovato even weighs in on his rumored romances! Although she never reveals too much information, she does make it clear that his happiness is her No. 1 priority. When asked if he should get back together with Selena Gomez , Lovato said she felt he should do whatever he thinks is best .

"I'm Switzerland! I have no opinion on that! Listen, if I have an opinion on something, I'm gonna say it," the "Heart Attack" singer, 23, said. "I honestly don't have an opinion. I want him to be happy. I definitely want him to be happy."

Lovato added, "He deserves the best."

And the best he shall receive! Since this interview, which took place in early September, he has been linked to Kate Hudson . Lovato, on the other hand, is still tied to her long-term boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama .

Maybe we'll get some adorable PDA pics from the road!

Demi Lovato Nick Jonas ‘Future Now Tour’ concert review

demi lovato nick jonas future now concert review 2016 images

At the end of June, former Disney stars Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas kicked off their co-headlining tour, “Future Now Tour.” Since beginning their tour, the duo has been traveling and performing all around the United States and Canada. They plan to finish off the tour in mid-October with 3 concerts scheduled in Mexico.

On Wednesday, August 24 th the “Future Now Tour” stopped by Vancouver, where Demi and Nick took the stage at Rogers Arena. Fortunately, being out of university for the summer, I was able to drag a friend along and check the show out!

[springboard type=”video” id=”1650609″ player=”mtvt006″ width=”480″ height=”400″ ]

Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of Demi’s, but Nick’s co-headlining status was enough to convince me to go. In addition, it is undeniable that Demi has some of the strongest vocals (if not the strongest) out of all of the musical starlets who came out of the Disney machine.

nick jonas future now tour concert

Leaving the show, I couldn’t help but compare Nick and Demi’s concert to that of their former Disney counterpart Miley Cyrus . Back in 2014, I attended the Vancouver stop of Miley’s “ Bangerz Tour .” While there was nothing to complain about when it came to Nick and Demi’s vocals, their energy was notably lower than that of Miley (which is somewhat predictable based on their contrasting public images). I looked around several times and was actually shocked at how still the audience members were in comparison to the crazy party that was going on during Miley’s show. Although I don’t expect Nick and Demi to come out on stage singing atop a rhinestone encrusted car anytime soon ( which Miley did , btw) , they definitely could use some embellishment in both their stage presence and the actual stage design itself (Nick and Demi just sang in front of a screen that changed colours from time to time). In addition, the thing I particularly liked about Miley’s concert was that she really flushed out the songs on her album Bangerz . On the other hand, Demi and Nick’s set was pretty much all radio hits ( which, let’s face it, have been overplayed at this point). Another big aspect that set Miley’s concert apart was the audience demographic. I was surprised by how young ( I’m talking 6-12 year olds) Demi and Nick’s crowd was, despite the fact that both singers are clearly trying to mature their image. I guess Miley’s wild public antics were, at the very least, effective in changing up her fan base (as many of her concert-goers were 16+).

Nonetheless, I did enjoy the concert, however, it was not an event that had me gushing about how good it was to everyone I subsequently ran into. Although I am biased, I truly believe that Nick has plenty of potential to push himself even further when it comes to owning the stage. While Demi has had years of being a solo artist, Nick is still relatively new to the scene. I am hoping that next time Nick is in town he will be headlining his own show and will be able to explore his own creative pursuits more. This time around it felt that he was letting Demi shine, thinking that he wasn’t the true star of the show. However, I think with the success he continues to have; he will soon realize otherwise.

3.5/5 Stars

Overall Review:

Nick is more than ready to branch out on his own and break free from his Disney roots. The “Future Now Tour” feels like it is a transition point for Nick, as he embraces his inner unleashed talent and charisma. Demi can continue to do her thing, as long as she is okay with the average age of her audience being 8 years old. Otherwise, she may need to call up her old pal Miley for some tips on how to dramatically shake things up.

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama may have called it quits earlier this month, but according to the "Confident" singer's friend and tour mate , Nick Jonas, everyone's going to be just fine.

Jonas spoke with ET at the Altec Lansing Collaboration Launch Event at Up & Down nightclub in New York City on Wednesday, and the 23-year-old singer opened up about Lovato's split from the Grey's Anatomy actor after six years of dating.

"I've built an amazing friendship with Wilmer over the years and I have so much love for him," said Jonas. "Demi is one of my closest friends in the world so I'm here for her, and for both of them really."

Lovato, 23, and Valderrama, 36, announced their split in a joint statement posted to Instagram on June 3, writing, “After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship. This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends."

Jonas and Lovato are currently preparing to kick off their Future Now Tour , which they will co-headline, and the "Chains" singer explained that it might be a good thing for his friend and tour-mate to have the distraction of a busy schedule. "It's probably the best timing for everybody," Jonas explained.

Opening up about the Future Now Tour , Jonas said he's "just thrilled" to be able to go on tour with his longtime friend, and revealed, "the biggest thing is about having a good time."

"I just put my album [ Last Year Was Complicated ] out and I'm having fun seeing the reaction to that," Jonas said. "So fun is key."

"I actually think that gets lost on people you know?" he added. "They get out on the road and they start losing sight of how great it is every night to be able to walk out on that stage and have 25-30,000 people singing back the words to your songs to you."

As for his "must haves" on tour, Jonas said he really wants to have "lots of water" to stay hydrated, and a lot of "good people."

"I know that's a weird thing to say, but I like to keep good people around," he explained. "[Which is] probably why me and Demi decided to go on tour together -- because she's good people."

While Jonas made it clear in his newest album title -- Last Year Was Complicated -- that he's gone down a rough road recently , he said that 2016 is a completely different story.

"This year's been pretty good so far," Jonas beamed. "I'm on track to have one of my biggest debuts as a solo artist ever, and I'm happy with what I released. I'm proud of my work."

It's no secret Demi Lovato is literally killing the music industry game right now. But, if there is one person doing it just as well, it's longtime pal Nick Jonas. The two former Disney stars are on every radio station you can find and both keep turning out hit after hit. So imagine the star power and music magic that would go down if the two went on tour together. Luckily you don't have to imagine anymore!

Yesterday, it was reported that Nick will be joining Demi on her upcoming world tour. While Adam Lambert had originally been scheduled to be Demi's opening act, there was a switch up and Nick will now be touring with Demi across the globe. The goods news is, there is no beef between Adam and Demi and they chalked the switch to "complex" business negotiations. Adam even tweeted out his support for the duo, clearing up any rumors before they started.

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

No dates on Demi's tour have been released yet but with the two back on the stage together, the possibilities of duets are endless! Camp Rock reunion anyone?

Kevin Jonas Reveals Skin Cancer as He Gets Basal Cell Carcinoma Removed from Hairline

"Make sure to get those moles checked, people!" the singer urged fans in a social media clip

Kevin Jonas is making sure his fans prioritize their health!

On Tuesday, June 11, the “Leave Before You Love Me” singer, 36, used social media to reveal that he had surgery to remove skin cancer .

“Friendly reminder to get your moles checked 🙏,” he captioned a clip of himself at a medical facility before and after the procedure.

As the video begins, Jonas is seen laying down for the selfie video.

“So today I am getting a basal cell carcinoma removed from my head,” he said while positioning the camera closer to the exact location of the skin abnormality. “Yes, that is a actual little skin cancer guy that started to grow, and now I have to get surgery to remove it.”

According to Mayo Clinic , “Basal cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer" that "begins in the basal cells — a type of cell within the skin that produces new skin cells as old ones die off.”

The medical organization adds that it “often appears as a slightly transparent bump on the skin, though it can take other forms.”

“So here we go,” the Camp Rock alum said before the video switched to a clip of him after the basal cell carcinoma was removed.

Jonas showed himself lifting the gauze that covered his fresh scar, but he made sure to block out the graphic image with an emoji.

“Alright, I’m all done,” he continued, this time sitting in a vehicle with his seatbelt on. “Now it’s time to heal, heading home.”

Before ending his video, the “Burnin’ Up” hitmaker left his fans with a final request.

“Make sure to get those moles checked, people!”

Fans sent him well wishes in his Instagram comment section, and so did The Skin Cancer Foundation .

“So sorry to hear about your BCC, Kevin. Thank you for raising awareness. Early detection is key. Wishing you the best on your recovery journey. 🫶🏽,” the organization wrote in response to his clip.

The “What A Man Gotta Do” singer’s surgery came at an opportune time, as the Jonas Brothers are currently on a break from touring. Their last date was April 30 in Cancún, Mexico.

The famous siblings will pick The Tour up again on Aug. 21 in Mexico City.

Their Mexico dates were postponed last month when Nick Jonas revealed he had the flu.

"I have some not-so-fun news to share," the 31-year-old said in the May 3 Instagram video . "A couple days ago I started feeling kind of rough, lost my voice when I had woken up and grinded that night out to be able to play the show in Cancún."

The caption of the joint post, shared on both his page and the official Jonas Brothers account, added, “We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience this causes some of you.”

However, the band promised to “bring 120% in August!”
