There are five different types of yeast in Travellers Rest, but the only means of getting all five is unfortunately through ordering. The five types of yeast, and what they’re used for, is as follows:

It’s recommended to keep all types of yeast on hand, although some may opt to avoid Champagne Yeast depending on the brewing tactics and sale trends occurring in your game. Trends (viewable from the calendar either in-tavern or on the bulletin board outside) unlock at tavern reputation level 10, which will give owners insight as to which finished foods, brews, and ingredients are trending. As all yeasts fall just short of 5 silver, keeping a heft on stock is ideal so there are no lapses in food crafting — it’s far more expensive to not have food and drink accessible than it is to purchase the ingredient outright. While the farming system works similar to that found in Stardew Valley , some items will simply need to be purchased outright.
Organization and success in Travellers Rest
Organizing your back-of-house, or kitchen area, to ensure that you understand what ingredients are running low at a quick glance is necessary for optimizing your workflow and income. We’ve found that organizing a chest solely for grain-like products, from barley to yeast, works best. Separate chests for meats, vegetables, malts, and fruits can all help keep the busy tavernkeeper organized while tending to the flurry of demands while open. An organized kitchen is a happy kitchen — look into expanding your tavern as quickly as possible to maximize growth potential.

There are a ton of recipes to explore and make in Travellers Rest , and players will unlock more as they expand their skill tree. While this recipe seems like a staple of the tavern-going experience and is a great chance to use some trending meat or veggie ingredients, it's also one of the more complex recipes in the player's Cooking Tech Tree .
Costing 4 physical points, 1 mental point, and 2 nature points, this recipe may be one that players want to leave on the back burner until they've got a few more recipes under their belt. On top of its complexity, this recipe also takes a decent amount of time to make, taking 90 in-game minutes, which is the highest out of all the recipes.
Another staple of the tavern experience, soup seems like a pretty basic recipe that players may want in the tool-belt sooner rather than later. While it's a great way of including some trending meat and veggies in a dish and amplifying it with a few extra ingredients, there are a few other recipes that players may wish to prioritize.
Learning this recipe costs 3 physical points and 2 nature points which isn't much compared to other recipes in the Cooking Tech Tree, but it is a simpler recipe. The simple nature of soup also means that it's limited in how many flavor modifiers it can have.

In the Cooking Tech Tree, this recipe costs 3 physical points, 2 mental points, and 3 nature points to learn, so while this must-have recipe won't be super easy to learn in the early game, players may want to get this recipe as soon as they can.
This pretty basic recipe gives players the chance to modify their teas with some interesting and unique infusions, depending on their mood or what flavors are currently trending!
Costing only 2 mental points and 3 nature points, this may be a recipe that players choose to get early on, though it does take a long time to brew, so players may want to start brewing some at the start of the day! This is also a relatively simple recipe with players only needing tea leaves and water to make it.
There are a couple of different types of pie that players can choose to make in Travellers Rest : sweet or savory. Players can decide which pies they want to make based on the current trending flavors as the different pies will offer different experiences to their customers.

Players unlock the ability to make jams with fruit and sugar after unlocking the option on the Cooking Tech Tree with 3 physical points, 2 mental points, and 3 nature points.
These jams can be modified in a bunch of different ways according to trending flavors, and players can even use a variety of different fruits to make their jam, depending on what will make them more money. Jams are super quick to make in-game, only taking 17 minutes to finish, meaning players can make a few of these throughout the day and have them ready to go!
Players can pickle a myriad of meats and veggies with vinegar, and even modify them based on what's trending and likely to make the most profit. Pickles are a few steps up the Cooking Tech Tree, as players are able to unlock this recipe with 4 physical points, 3 mental points, and 4 nature points.
It isn't exactly the best recipe for early in the game, but it will definitely be a beneficial one to learn as early as possible! They also only take 5 in-game minutes to make, which is the quickest of the recipes.
Cheese isn't available for players to make until they've reached Reputation 11, but it's a worthwhile endeavor once it's available!

The simpleness of these dishes, and how quickly players are able to learn them, truly solidifies these recipes as absolute staples of the Travellers Rest experience.
All of these recipes only need one ingredient and all of them, except roasted barley, can be modified with any flavor except seedy. On the Cooking Tech Tree, these recipes only cost 2 physical points, 1 mental point, and 2 nature points to learn, making it very easy to acquire in the early game.

Flour power
Soda bread is the easiest bread to make, so this is a great starting point if you're a beginner. It doesn't contain yeast, so there's no rising to wait for and no kneading required – in fact, to prevent it from becoming tough, the less you handle the dough, the better. Follow our recipe and, in just 40 minutes, you'll have a freshly baked loaf on the table. Soda bread should really be eaten on the day it’s made. Alternatively, slice, pop in the freezer, and toast from frozen.

Spelt is an ancient variety of wheat, which some people find easier to digest than standard wheat. In this easy recipe, the spelt is mixed with strong white flour (it's called strong because it's high in gluten, which makes the dough rise). If you can't find spelt flour, use strong wholemeal flour instead. This loaf requires just one rise, so it's relatively quick to make.

Fougasse is the southern French cousin of Italy's focaccia, albeit with a chewier crust. It's traditionally shaped like a blade of wheat and baked in a very hot oven – if you have a baking or pizza stone, use it here to achieve the signature crunchy crust. Spraying the oven with water just as you put the bread in also helps to get the bread that bit crispier.

If you go to the menu section of your inventory, you should be able to check every recipe you have. So long as you have the recipe for bread dough, you should be able to check the ingredients. I hope this helps, but if you need anything else don't hesitate to let me know and I'll do everything I can to solve your issue.
Any help would be appreciated. Make flour first in the grinder then make dough on the food prep table. You have meal prep table ? If not bought one. Flour can be made in the grinder, and then the dough can be prepared at the food prep table, which is a relatively new addition to the game.

You can add cheese or honey when making bread, but not butter. I would like to suggest that we be able to add butter. Also, I don't understand why jam is a standalone "dish" item. I thought it would be something that I would make to be added to bread or something, but you can't. So, people buying a jar of jam by itself in an inn is odd to me.
