Each stop on the journey is a skit portraying an aspect of the Christmas Story. Beautiful luminaries line the route down Walnut Creek hill along with carolers singing throughout. End the journey at The Farm at Walnut Creek by enjoying a horse-drawn wagon ride to our live nativity in the barn and watch the story unfold about the precious baby born long ago. Be sure to take the wagon ride back to the houses for warm, homemade cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies, hot chocolate, and much more!

Take a Wagon Ride Through the Animal Farm
Have you ever been able to hand-feed a giraffe? You’ll be able to do this and much more at Farm on Walnut Creek . Although this attraction looks and operates like an Amish farm, there are a few unexpected activities that will make your trip unforgettable. There are over 500 animals from six different continents that call this place home. You’ll find zebras, horses, buffalo, and kangaroos, along with many others. Observe and feed the animals yourself on a leisurely horse-drawn wagon ride through the land. People of all ages will enjoy this fun activity.
Stop by the Produce Stand
Don’t forget to stop by the farm stand to stock up on fresh produce before you go. You’ll want to taste the delicious food grown here. It’s too good to pass up. Head upstairs to the gift barn to purchase a few Amish Country souvenirs.
Learn About the Art of Farming
Learn about all the fascinating skills and techniques required to work the land. There are plenty of unique and educational opportunities. Depending on the season, you might get to witness plowing, threshing, seed sowing, or milking. The workers will be happy to explain the detailed process. Don’t forget to visit the on-site blacksmith shop to learn about the artful skill as well.

Journey to Bethlehem
The Farm at Walnut Creek Christmas celebration is truly a sight to behold. Come join the community as we celebrate Christmas with the annual Journey to Bethlehem. This dramatic, seven-stop tour reenacts the night of baby Jesus’s birth before your eyes. A wagon will then transport you to the live nativity scene in the barn.
This event will take place on December 6th-7th, 2020.
Easter Egg Drop
This isn’t your traditional Easter egg hunt. Attend this exciting event to witness a helicopter drop hundreds of colored eggs from the sky. It’s a sight you won’t forget!

It was in Bethlehem where Mary gave birth to a baby and laid him in a manger. And, just as in biblical times, there won't be any room at the inn, due to the popularity of the Walnut Creek event. The Farm at Walnut Creek hosts the live Nativity during the Walnut Creek Journey to Bethlehem. It's seven dramatic stops in the Walnut Creek village depicting the birth 1st century Bethlehem and the birth of the Christ Child. Free admission to all stops. Be prepared for walking and dress for cold temps.
On Dec. 2 and 3 from 4-8 p.m., the annual Journey to Bethlehem will be held in Walnut Creek. The Journey to Bethlehem is a live walking/driving tour that takes visitors through the experiences Mary and Joseph may have experienced along their journey to Bethlehem. It includes a market place, biblical characters, shepherds and a live nativity scene.
