Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Announces 2023 Schedule

Tour will span four continents over 10 months, with first and last event in doha, qatar.

The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour has announced the competition schedule for the 2023 season.

Following the success of the inaugural season, the Beach Pro Tour will travel to new, familiar and iconic locations across four continents.

The Elite16 event in Doha, Qatar, kicks off the season on February 1. Tepic, Mexico, and Montréal headline the new stops on the tour in 2023. The calendar will also see several return stops from the 2022 season, including Roland Garros in Paris, Hamburg in Germany and Dubai, which will return in 2023 with an Elite16 event.

“The first season of the Beach Pro Tour has seen the world’s best teams compete at the highest level and we are looking forward to building on that success in the competition’s second season in 2023,” said Volleyball World Chief Executive Officer Finn Taylor .

Challenge event locations include Itapema, Mexico, the Maldives and Espinho, Portugal. New Challenge stops will head to Saquarema, Brazil; Hainan, China and the Philippines. After 10 months touring the globe in South America, Europe, North America and Asia, the Beach Pro Tour Finals 2023 will take place December 7–10, 2023, at Aspire Park in Doha.

“We are taking beach volleyball to fans in all corners of the world next season and the 2023 calendar represents a great opportunity for fans of all ages to rub shoulders with Olympic and world champions in some truly breathtaking locations,” Taylor said.

M adrid abre la puerta a diez d�as intensos donde se podr� disfrutar del mejor v�ley playa del mundo. El Parque Deportivo Puerta de Hierro acoger� dos eventos del Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour de categor�a Futures, uno masculino del 9 al 12 de mayo, otro femenino del 16 al 19 de mayo, y las semifinales de la Nations Cup masculina y femenina donde acudir�n las mejores parejas de Europa en busca de seguir en la pelea por una �ltima plaza en los Juegos Ol�mpicos y que se disputar� del 13 al 15 de mayo.

El campeonato arrancar� este jueves con la celebraci�n de las rondas de clasificaci�n para el cuadro principal. No ser� hasta el viernes cuando se vean a las parejas que acuden como cabezas de serie en el campeonato como Dani Moreno y Roberto Sanf�lix . Los espa�oles ser�n la mejor pareja espa�ola en el ranking e intentar�n emular a los hermanos Alejandro y Javier Huerta en la pasada edici�n y pelear por el t�tulo en la arena de Madrid. Tambi�n estar�n, aunque esta vez por separado, los alemanes Maximilian Just y Lui W�st, que el a�o pasado fueron finalistas.

Madrid tendr� un �lite16 en 2025

Madrid, como empieza a ser tradici�n, se ha instaurado como la puerta a la gira europea del Beach Pro Tour . En su cuarto a�o de acoger pruebas del m�s alto nivel en el Parque Deportivo Puerta de Hierro, esta vez repetir� con la ilusi�n de seguir creciendo y poder acoger el pr�ximo 2025 un �lite16 en Madrid. Una prueba donde estar�an las mejores parejas del ranking mundial como pasa ya en Hamburgo, Doha o Vienna, entre otras, como ha confirmado Javier Garc�a Romero, Vicepresidente de la Federaci�n de Madrid de Voleibol: "Con la experiencia estos cuatro a�os, tiene que ser una prueba redonda. Queremos que sea el trampol�n para que el a�o que viene, en 2025, podamos montar una gran prueba de �lite16 y que Madrid sea, por fin, emblema mundial del v�ley playa ".

" Despu�s de cuatro a�os de experiencia, con el respaldo que hemos tenido y, sobre todo, por la buena acogida ", motivos que esgrime Garc�a Romero para seguir dando pasos hacia delante. Un apoyo incondicional de la Comunidad de Madrid y el Ayuntamiento de Madrid que han estado presentes en las modernas instalaciones del Centro de V�ley Playa del Parque Deportivo Puerta de Hierro. Virginia Bl�zquez , Subdirectora General de Programas Deportivos de la Comunidad de Madrid y Borja Fanjul , Concejal Presidente del Distrito de Moncloa-Aravaca, acompa�ados por Bel�n Carro, voleibolista de playa profesional y que participar� en el Futures de Madrid con Sof�a Gonz�lez , pudieron comprobar la calidad de las instalaciones que poseen el distintivo Green Sport Flag por su sostenibilidad.

Hamburg steht wieder im Mittelpunkt des internationalen Beachvolleyball-Sports! Das Elite16-Turnier der Beach Pro Tour wird vom 21. bis 25. August 2024 im Stadion am Rothenbaum ausgetragen. Angesichts der hochkarätigen Teilnehmer*innen verspricht das Event ein riesiges Spektakel zu werden.

Was ist die Beach Pro Tour?

Die Beach Pro Tour umfasst mehrere Kategorien von Events, einschließlich Elite16, Challenge und Futures, die jeweils unterschiedliche Punkte und Preisgelder bieten. Ein Elite16 ist das höchste Turnierkategorie der Beach Pro Tour. Diese Veranstaltungen finden weltweit statt und ziehen Top-Spieler*innen aus der ganzen Welt an. Pro Geschlecht qualifizieren sich die 11 punktestärksten Teams der Weltrangliste, eine Wildcard und vier weitere Teams, die über die Qualifikationsrunde in den Hauptbewerb kommen.

Größtes Tennisstadion Deutschlands beherbergt die Beach Pro Tour

Das Stadion am Rothenbaum bereitet sich vor, erneut Gastgeber für die Beachvolleyball-Elite zu sein. In diesem Stadion finden normalerweise die prestigeträchtigen Hamburg Open statt. Doch für fünf Tage im August wird das Stadion für die Beach Pro Tour Hamburg umfunktioniert. Als größtes Tennisstadion Deutschlands bietet das Stadion am Rothenbaum Kapazitäten für ca. 10.000 Fans . Nach Modernisierungen kann nun auch das Stadiondach geschlossen werden. Der Beach Pro Tour Hamburg 2024 steht also nichts mehr im Weg!
