Best best best tour. Fully engaging. Learned so much and laughed so hard. Highlight of our trip. Paddy was amazing and took us to many places not seen by tourists. His van is clean an luxurious. Do t tour with anyone but Paddy
Trevor was our guide, and he provided a great insight into Belfast, the neighborhoods, the sites to visit and the political situation past and present, in a very unbiased way. Set up,our tour a couple of. Oaths in advance, let them know when we were in the north and everything was good to go. Trevor picked us up at our hotel right on time and delivered us back after the tour. Great way to get a feel for Belfast and the history of the troubles. Highly recommended, exception value for the money.
We toured Belfast with the black cabs on June 30. There were 16 of us split up into four cars - Pat was the guide/driver for my car. We learned SO much about the "Troubles" and it was absolutely fascinating. He shared his own personal experiences as well as the intricate history. He was very unbiased and respectful. You would think this was a very somber tour, but he's also HILARIOUS! We also visited The Giant's Causeway (beautiful) and Old Bushmill's Distillery for Whiskey tasting. Pat got us into a great restaurant (The Market Square) for a delicious lunch. It was farm-to-table and I HIGHLY recommend getting the Goat Cheese Bruschetta! Overall it was a fantastic experience and a must do to do in Belfast! I know my friends in the other cars enjoyed their tour and drivers as well.
Absolutely fantastic tour by Henry, our elucidating and entertaining gaeilgeoir, who actually lived through the events he describes. Has a word for his neighbors in passing. If you're lucky he'll take a call in Irish while you're in the cab, drop you at your museum, and recommend the best local place for a guiness.
It's bewildering to drive through Belfast and hear stories about the conflicts in the city and realize that it happened less than 20 years ago and the person telling the story isn't reading something from a history book - they lived it. It's a powerful experience to hear about the lives of the people who were murdered for helping the wrong person or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Each side knew exactly what to do to hurt the other side the most and they did it. To see the murals and memorials that commemorated the lives that were lost is humbling. You also learn about the city's construction and the different neighborhoods that are developing as they move forward. The cabs themselves are just that - cabs. They can seat 5 adults relatively comfortably. There are 2 jumper seats that face backward that aren't particularly comfortable. The front seat is definitely the place to be if you want to see everything that is being pointed out during the drive. We went on the black cab tour as part of a larger tour of Northern Ireland that departed from Dublin. Since we were on a timeline, the tour only last about an hour and a half so we were only able to see a portion of what a normal tour would cover. Our Northern Ireland tour allowed you to choose this or the Titanic Experience Museum. Of the 60 or so people on the tour, over 50 chose the black cab tour. Even if you only have an hour or so, it's worth going on. Even with all of the beautiful scenery we saw later, this was the most memorable part of our time in Northern Ireland. 5 stars.

Tour with Pat B - A1! We did this tour on St Patrick's weekend 2018 and were recommended this cab tour by a friend and we couldn't have gotten a better tour if we tried! This was a real eye-opening tour. Pat B helped us understand the troubles to another level. He shared his own personal experiences and stories of what happened from his view but also did the whole tour in an unbiased way which I did not expect at all. It really made me understand both sides of the troubles to an even deeper extent and I - for the first time ever realised it wasn't just the Catholics who suffered. Not only did Pat talk about the tour but he also is lovely to talk to and took interest in our own lives. He is very funny and humble and I couldn't have asked for a better tour guide he was perfect! Booking the tour was very easy, we booked it the morning of the tour and he was there at 10:30 am waiting for us outside our hotel! He never rushed any parts at let us view the Murals for as long as we wanted. It was a fantastic experience and a must do to do in Belfast!

Our first time in Belfast and Northern Ireland, we had some idea of the history but needed a better understanding of what has happened in the region. The blackcab tour was the best introduction to the history of intercommunal tension in the city. Our driver Syd was knowledgeable and presented an objective view of the history. He had several photos and videos that he showed us to further explain the events. He drove us around telling the story behind the various murals commemorating various people that died during the violence. It was especially sombering to see the two sides of the "peace wall" and getting to hear about the innocent lives that have been lost. In addition to the mural tours, the black cab companies provide tours of other sites in and out of the city. I would strongly recommend a black cab tour of the murals!
I can't say enough about my black taxi tour of Belfast with Mark. He picked me up right in front of the train station and we were off!!! Since I was solo, I decided to sit in the front seat so it was more personal. It was a wonderful 2-hour informative and fun (even though there is certainly much sad history in Belfast) tour through town. I had obviously heard of "the troubles" and some of the history of Belfast, but really had no idea how intense it was for decades in Belfast. Thank you Mark and the folks at Paddy's. I highly recommend this tour! I am sure all of their guides are great, but go ahead and see if you can get Mark to show you around.
We took 2 taxi tours while in Belfast and they were my favorite part of our visit. Growing up in the US I of course heard about the "troubles" in Northern Ireland and IRA bombings, but on these tours you get to hear about that history from people who have lived it, which is priceless. This was our 2nd taxi tour. Our first was promoted as telling both sides, but was really Catholic-oriented. While our driver on this tour was Catholic, he did a great job of also telling us the Protestant side of the story (which my aunt really wanted to hear). Peter was our driver/tour guide and I think he might be the owner. He was FABULOUS!!! I can't pinpoint why, but it felt like hanging out with a long lost relative and hearing about his childhood/life rather than going on a tour. He was very open to questions and discussion rather than just going from place to place and having a script. Along with talking about the history on both sides, he also related personal stories about how the country is slowly coming together. And, in true Irish fashion, he said hello and seemed to know most of the people we encountered along the way. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It's one of the reasons I really want to go back to Belfast one day.
Joel, our tour guide, was amazing - very cordial and knowledgeable. He met us promptly at Victoria Square and provided an excellent tour with respect to The Troubles. He stopped at several murals to give us the background and history, which was so interesting. We saw the Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods. I highly recommend this tour company if you're going to tour Belfast. It's what you make of it. Bring a camera, and take lots of pictures. You'll have plenty of opportunities.

There are many taxi tours in Northern Ireland and all will claim to be the best, as is their right, but in my opinion and after a lot of research, Paddy Campbell puts the T back into Tours, and his personality and knowledge of Northern Ireland makes this journey something very special indeed. With the help of his daughter Victoria, they run these slick tours like a very well oiled machine, the relatively small fee that is charged is worth every penny! Paddy's knowledge and experience isn't just limited to the history of Belfast, his tours to the city of Derry, and his Irish Film and Tv tours are certainly worth considering also. All in all a trip to the city of Belfast will not be complete until you've taken a trip with paddy and embraced the great atmosphere that awaits you in this beautiful part of Northern Ireland.

Beyond belfast tour.
Our Beyond Belfast day trip or North Antrim Coast/Causeway trip is the ideal trip for any of our guests who are looking to fit as much into their day as possible or may only have a limited time in the city. So, for someone only passing through the city or visiting on a cruise ship, this excursion ticks all the boxes.
You would normally be collected from your accommodation around 8:30 am. From here you would be brought straight up to the north Antrim coast where you have the option of visiting some of our world-famous heritage sites, many of which have been featured in award-winning movies and television shows. Some of these are the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, the Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills distillery, and/or Dunluce castle plus other secret stops along the way. You will stop and explore all of these yourself and you will also stop for lunch.
Due to time or capacity restrictions at certain sites, this could have a knock-on effect on the itinerary for the day. Before you even set off, your driver will have a conversation with you and will explain in detail his plans for your day, gauging what you would like to see and do specifically and he will try and fit in as many sites for you as possible. This would last around 7-8 hours or so.
