Streaming star Jordan Maron, known to the millions of people who watch him play Minecraft as "CaptainSparklez," has purchased a new Los Angeles home for $4.5 million. Variety reports that the 23-year-old's new, 4,100 square-foot house sits on a hillside above Sunset Strip--and it looks amazing.

As you can see in the image above, the defining characteristic of the three-bedroom, five-bathroom abode is its glass terraces. Views (on a clear day, at least) extend to the Pacific Ocean. There is also an outdoor fireplace, infinity pool (and "party-sized spa), sunken wet bar, and a stainless steel barbecue.

Variety also reports that Maron's home is only a few thousand feet away from the $70 million, 23,000-square-foot mansion that Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson bought last year.

Minecraft streamer buys $4.5 million mansion

It turns out that Notch isn't the only guy who can afford to splurge on some swanky digs thanks to the magic of Minecraft. 23-year-old YouTuber Jordan "CaptainSparklez" Maron recently splurged on a $4.5 million pad above the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, and while it may not be in the league of Casa Notch, Maron didn't make Minecraft—he just plays it.

The house is 4100 square feet, according to Variety , with three bedrooms, five baths, glass-railed terraces on each of the three floors, an outdoor fireplace, sunken wet bar, and a terrace with a stainless-steel barbecue, "party-sized spa," and infinity swimming pool. Suddenly John Carmack's Ferrari seems a bit trite, doesn't it?

A 23-year-old YouTube star just bought a $4.5 million mansion in Hollywood

Jordan Maron, a 23-year-old YouTube star, has purchased a huge hilltop mansion for $4.575 million under a private trust, according to Variety .

Maron is known in the YouTube world as "CaptainSparklez," and his channel has racked up more than 8.8 million subscribers and 1.9 billion views.

The channel primarily features videos of him playing "Minecraft," and he's signed by Polaris, a division of Maker Studios.

All of that gaming has clearly paid off — his brand-new home has amazing views and more than 4,100 square feet of space.

The home is located above the Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills, not far from where Markus Persson, the creator of Minecraft himself, bought a $70 million home in December 2014.

Maron's house is set on a lot overlooking Los Angeles in the Hollywood Hills.

Its living spaces are spacious and open. The previous owner incorporated lots of Monopoly-inspired artwork throughout, including this painting of the Monopoly man placed over the fireplace.

The kitchen is sleek and contemporary.

A dining room is spacious enough to entertain guests.

This room, like many around the house, has direct patio access.

Outside, a small table is situated next to a cozy outdoor fireplace.

And these benches have incredible views of the hills.

The home has three stories, each with its own set of balconies.

These geometric staircases provide access to all of the floors.

On the second floor, the master bedroom has a luxurious fireplace and space for a gigantic bed.

We could only imagine the views would be amazing even in bed.

The master bath has a standalone tub and a large shower.

Even the bathroom sink boasts panoramic views.

The master suite certainly isn't lacking in closet space.

A second bedroom also has sliding-glass doors to a private terrace.

Down on the ground floor, this funky-looking living room seems ideal for entertaining.

Wide doors open to the pool deck.

An angular infinity pool is a dramatic touch to the space.

There's also a hot tub and a grill.

Inside, a wet bar is ready for pool parties.

But there's also an office in case Maron ever needs to get any work done.

Lest anyone forget there are unfathomable amounts of money hauled in by YouTube’s leading superstars, Jordan Maron, better known to the global gaming universe as Ferrari-driving Minecraft master CaptainSparklez, has his sleek modern confection above L.A.’s perennially trendy Sunset Strip up for grabs at a mite under $4.9 million. The 28-year-old YouTube phenom, who occasionally produces Minecraft-related music videos and maintains more than half dozen YouTube channels with a total of nearly 14 million subscribers and more than 3.8 billion total views, purchased the eye-catching city-view architectural over the summer of 2015 for close to $4.6 million .

Online marketing materials, which curiously make use of the same listing images as when Maron purchased the property, show the interestingly angled and glass-walled residence was built in 2012 on a precipitous, slightly less than 6,000-square-foot parcel with canyon-framed views over the city. Listings held by Rodeo Realty ’s Joe Babajian and Timmy Woods indicate the mullet-style residence — the low-slung, single-level street profile drops to three full stories at the back — has three bedrooms, five bathrooms and several fireplaces, including one in the master bedroom that incorporates a see-through fire box and uniquely frames a glittery view over the city. On the uppermost floor, high ceilinged adjoining living and dining rooms spill out through full-height glass sliders to a glass-railed terrace with an outdoor fireplace and spectacular views that stretch from the downtown skyline to the Pacific Ocean. A couple of bedrooms, including the master suite, are located on the middle level and open to small private balconies, while the third is nipped down on the lowest level along with a family room that features a party-sized sunken wet bar. Greenish-tinted floor-to-ceiling glass sliders open the lower level rooms to a stone-tiled entertainment terrace with an infinity-edge plunge pool that cantilevers out over the hillside.
