The gig was overall good!

The highlights would be the guest artists like Tom Misch.

Even the opening act (Dabeull) was unexpectedly fun!

One downside of the whole experience is that FKJ's voice was very dim. I would've wanted his voice to have more volume to it as I couldn't even hear at times the messages he was saying to the public (despite standing in the front rows).

Would recommend seeing FKJ and supporting artists live but would improve the volume quality.

The concert was simply amazing. It was my first time watching FKJ in live and it was just mind blowing to see how fantastic he really is. Every minute was a pure pleasure. The way he can mix all these instruments and sounds in such a beautiful way is torrific.

If you guys have the chance to watch it, jump on the occasion you will never forget it. I can't wait to see him another time!

Okay first of all...I did NOT realize that this sexy French man could play the saxophone, the piano, the guitar, and the bass...like jesus christ. He proceeded to play all of the above, sometimes at the same time, with so much swag that I couldn't help but swoon. Seriously what an amazing show! I was caught so off guard -- it far surpassed what I was expecting!

Another great FKJ show! This gus is so talented and incredible to watch. The crowd he brings is just as special as his music. If you're ever wondering should I go to an FKJ show the answer is unequivocally YES! Had the best time and danced up a sweat. I will see FKJ whenever he's in my city or any city that I'm in.

He's the truth!!!

FKJ + Masego + (((o))) = aesthetically beautiful experience This is the first event I have not had anyone push or shove being on the floor. The visuals were amazing. The experience was once in a lifetime. Just wish Fkj would come down from the platform and interact with his audience, couldn't have been better!

He was so sweet and humble and magical and put on an amazing show. The screen drop in front of the stage was pretty cool and it was so nice to have a visual accompanying the music.

Also, I loved he was so in the groove that he played three songs for the encore :)

A bucket list item checked. I'm relatively a newbie to FKJ (+2yrs) music. Stumbled upon him via Tom Misch. However! An intimate space for the perfect date night. We danced (And I don't dance). But it was a vibe frfr. The acoustics were on point. Definitely worth the price of admission..

Scottie Scheffler cards 66, leads by 4 at Tour Championship

ATLANTA -- Scottie Scheffler put on another clinic from tee-to-green at East Lake on Friday for a 5-under 66 and a four-shot lead at the Tour Championship that didn't seem as big as it looked.

Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele had something to do with that.

In a second round that brought a sense of urgency for those chasing the No. 1 player in golf, Morikawa responded with nine birdies, two on the final two holes after a 93-minute storm delay, for an 8-under 63.

Schauffele finished with a pair of 12-foot putts -- one for par, one for birdie, both feeling just as important as the other -- for a 64.

"This course right now with how firm the greens are, it's a ball-striking type deal where you have to be in the fairways and hit your number, and he's been killing everyone at that all year," Schauffele said. "I know he's not going to let up, so there's only one way to get him."

Morikawa has laid out a plan for the week. Still, he was seven shots back to start the day and has seen enough of Scheffler this year to know what to expect.

"He's going to continue to make birdies," Morikawa said. "He's driving it really, really well here and you're giving yourself enough wedges to make some scoring opportunities out there. For me, it's just bringing energy and just kind of staying alive out there."

They still have their work cut out for them.

Scheffler is the No. 1 seed in the FedEx Cup and began the finale with a two-shot lead. He also is playing as well as he has all year, and those immediately behind him in the FedEx Cup were not at their best in the opening round. That accounted for Scheffler having a seven-shot lead at the start of the day.

He returned from the storm delay with a pair of birdies over his final three holes and reached 21-under par. Morikawa was at 17 under and Schauffele was another shot behind.

No one else was closer than nine shots to Scheffler.

At stake for Scheffler is a chance to win the FedEx Cup and its $25 million prize, which he failed to do as the top seed each of the past two years. But he looks more comfortable on an East Lake course that has been overhauled -- "This is not the same course," he said when he arrived Monday for his first look -- and everyone has a big task chasing him.

Scheffler began the round with a 7-iron that he thought was going to leave him a 20-foot look at birdie, except that it caught the wrong side of the ridge and rolled off the green, down a severe slope and settled 90 away against a collar of rough.

He holed a 20-foot par putt, a good start that sent him on his way. Even with Morikawa and Schauffele scoring early, Scheffler still led by six shots early on the back nine until he made his first bogey in 29 holes and Morikawa chipped in for birdie, a two-shot swing.

Morikawa had four birdies in a five-hole stretch around the turn, only to see his tee shot to the 11th bounce hard and roll off the back of the green, leading to bogey. But he recovered well enough, particularly with his two closing birdies.

Schauffele, who started the tournament two shots behind as the No. 2 seed, lost ground with a 70 on the first day. He sorted out most of his swing issues and had a bogey-free day.

Scheffler tried not to get caught up in his seven-shot lead -- a product of his 65 on Thursday and the next five players behind him in the FedEx Cup doing no better than 69 -- though it was unusual to see a six-shot lead on the front nine on a Friday.

"Today was a day where I had a big lead, but there was a huge group of guys right there, so obviously some guys are going to play pretty well," Scheffler said. "But I did a good job of staying in my own world out there and put up a good round of golf."

He went out in 32. Morikawa and Schauffele had to keep making birdies just to keep this from turning into a runaway. Scheffler's lone mistake was going bunker-to-bunker on the par-4 13th and missing an 8-foot par putt.

Scheffler is driving it so well -- he missed only three fairways -- that he didn't have more than a 7-iron into a par 4 and is setting a tough target for everyone to chase.

Adam Scott (67), Wyndham Clark (67) and Sahith Theegala (66) were nine shots behind. Sam Burns , Scheffler's best friend on tour, birdied his last two holes for a 68 and lost so much ground he stopped looking at the leaderboard. He was 10 shots behind.

"He's the best golfer on the planet. He's really good with leads," Burns said. "It's not a great thing for us."

Voice actor says Boston Duck Tours has ‘more talk of death’ than he expected

A voice actor who came to Boston recently was surprised at the amount of times death was mentioned during one of the city’s most popular tourist activities.

Dan Povenmire, known for voicing the character of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz in the Disney Channel animated series “Phineas and Ferb,” shared his reaction to taking a Duck Tour of Boston in a TikTok posted on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

“It was great, but there was a lot more talk of death than I was expecting,” the actor said before the video cut to a tour guide saying, “Fifty-six people signed the Declaration of Independence, three of them are in this burial ground” as the bus passed Granary Burying Ground.

John Hancock, Paul Revere, James Otis, Samuel Adams and Robert Treat Paine are among those buried in that burial ground, according to its website . The tour guide also highlighted the burial grounds of the Boston Massacre victims, Benjamin Franklin’s family members and Mary Dyer.

Povenmire also captured his tour guide talking about the public hangings in the Boston Common.

“Public hangings would happen here in the Common,” the guide said in the video. “The last hanging happened in 1812.”

Povenmire thought the death talk was over when the boat drove into the water, however that wasn’t the case.

“Boston-born, Boston-bred, and when I die I’ll most likely be Boston dead,” the guide said in the video.

“Even with all those cautionary tales, he still let my daughter Alex drive the boat,” Povenmire said before showing a picture of his daughter behind the wheel.

Despite all the talk of death, the voice actor rated the experience a 10 out of 10.

Boston Duck Tours departs from either the Museum of Science, the Prudential Center or the New England Aquarium. Each location offers different tour times, schedules and hours.

Jin Young Ko Takes 2-shot Lead in Boston at FM Championship

NORTON, Mass. (AP) — Jin Young Ko took advantage of an early collapse by Haeran Ryu and turned her own bad break into a birdie Saturday for a 5-under 67 that took her from a six-shot deficit to a two-shot lead over Lauren Coughlin in the FM Championship.

Ryu was coming off a career-best 62 on the TPC Boston that staked the 23-year-old from South Korea to a six-shot lead going into the weekend of the $3.8 million event.

It was gone in a matter of six holes.

Ryu took double bogey on the first and fourth holes, both typically tame on the Gil Hanse design, and then dropped another shot on the tough par-4 sixth. By then, she was one shot behind and never quite caught up.

It didn't get much better. Ryu had a 78, and went from a six-shot lead to four shots behind. Ko was more surprised by Ryu than her own score.

"She's such a great player. I mean, she shoot like 10 under yesterday and I thought, 'Is that possible to play on this golf course?' I just wanted to follow her," Ko said.

Ko, the former world No. 1 who hasn't won on the LPGA Tour since May 2023, started with a pair of birdies and shot 32 on the front nine to quick gain control.

Her best — and most bizarre moment — came on the 17th. Her tee shot appeared to come to rest just outside a divot. Ko was preparing to hit when she felt a gust of wind with just enough strength to blow the golf ball into the divot.

But she kept her poise, hit her approach to 20 feet and holed the putt.

"Seventeen is not an easy hole," Ko said. "Got some luck."

She closed with another birdie to reach 11-under 205 and will be in the final group with Coughlin, who had a 69 and will be going for her third win in the last six weeks. The amazing run was enough to put Coughlin on the Solheim Cup for the first time.

This is the last tournament before the Sept. 13-15 matches against Europe.

Carlota Ciganda of Spain had her second straight 67 and was three shots behind, along with former U.S. Women's Open champion Allisen Corpuz (67) and Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand, who had a 69.

Coughlin is on such a strong run that she didn't feel as though she played her best and yet the 31-year-old from Virginia is right in the mix.

"I hit a lot of greens but I don't feel like I hit a lot of good golf shots, but they kind of ended up in some OK spots and made a couple putts," Coughlin said. "I think overall it wasn't my best. But I was able to get a good score out of it."

The FM Championship is in its first year, and the company already raised the prize money to $3.8 million from when it first announced it would sponsor the LPGA event. FM also has offered free lodging to the players and is giving a $1,000 stipend to anyone missing the cut.

Jay Monahan preaches patience on potential PGA/LIV deal

ATLANTA — Commissioner Jay Monahan spent 20 minutes Wednesday talking about momentum from a $1.5 billion private equity investment in the PGA Tour at the start of the year. When it came to an investment deal with Saudi backers of LIV Golf, he preached patience.

Monahan said a deal with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia remains a priority, though there is no deadline.

“I don’t think we want to restrict ourselves in that way,” Monahan said at the season-ending Tour Championship. “We want to achieve the best and right outcome at the right time.”

It was a stark contrast to a year ago at East Lake. Monahan agreed to a stunning deal with the PIF on June 6, 2023, to create a commercial arm called PGA Tour Enterprises. The deadline for that deal was the end of the year.

Monahan said last year, “As I sit here today, I am confident that we will reach an agreement that achieves a positive outcome for the PGA Tour and our fans — I see it and I’m certain of it.”

So much has changed since then.

The Justice Department asked that an anti-poaching clause be removed from the framework agreement in July. Jon Rahm defected to LIV Golf for Saudi riches in December. And the tour signed on Strategic Sports Group — centrally backed by Fenway Sports Group — in January for an investment worth as much as $3 billion, which included a first-of-its-kind equity program for players.

“When you look at where we are today and ... what we hear from fans and what we’re hearing from players, ultimately we’re both in a position to bring the best players in the world back together,” said Monahan. “I think that’s a good and aspirational goal.

“As I said earlier, we’re in those discussions. We’re at the table. They’re complex, and it’s going to take time.”

In the meantime, the PGA Tour is wrapping up its first season of eight $20 million signature events, which still produced roughly the same turnover of players who reached the postseason. The tour has announced a similar schedule for 2025, and Monahan made it sound as though that would be the blueprint for the immediate future.

It still doesn’t include players at LIV, some of whom might fall out of the 54-man league depending on the contracts they signed.

There is a road back, although it is a long one.

Tyler Dennis, the PGA Tour president, confirmed that players competing on LIV Golf will have to wait one year from their last competition to be eligible for the PGA Tour provided they were never members.

Laurie Canter of England, who is in good shape to earn a PGA Tour card if he stays in the top 10 on the European tour, played as an alternate at LIV Golf Las Vegas in February. He would not be eligible until Feb. 11.

“Players who were members of the tour also have all of our tournament regulations and conduct policies applying to them,” Dennis said. “I’m not going to get into details about that, but there’s an additional set of guidelines there to consider.”

Monahan was asked about a path back for LIV players and chose to look at some of the younger players who have emerged this year, such as Robert MacIntyre and Matthieu Pavon through the European tour and Ludvig Aberg through the PGA Tour University program.

Another was Nick Dunlap, the US Amateur champion who won the American Express in January , turned pro, and won in July and advanced to the second stage of the postseason.

“The system that we have, which extends to the international tours around the world, is really performing at a really high level, and that’s what we’re excited about,” Monahan said.

As for a PIF deal, Monahan said the priority to get it done is still there, without offering details or being willing to discuss any negotiations publicly.

“I think when you get into productive conversations, that enhances the likelihood of positive outcomes, and that enhances the spirit of those very conversations,” Monahan said. “I think that’s where things stand.”
