For some, forking over four digits for a concert is just too much, but for others, the experience is worth the money.

Gabrielle Lask isn’t normally a big spender, but when she had an opportunity to purchase two tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour for $4,000, the Swiftie just couldn’t “shake off” the chance to see the singer with her mom.

“It’s so much money,” Lask says. “I honestly don’t think I’ve ever spent that much money on anything in my life, but I was dying to go to that show. My mom surprised me with tickets for my 11th birthday for the Fearless tour, and this would be a full-circle moment for us to go back together.”

How Lask Covered the Cost

Lask, 24, and her mother first tried purchasing tickets through the presale program for Capital One cardholders , which reportedly offered ticket prices as low as $49.

When that didn’t work out, Lask says they tried several avenues to get tickets before connecting with a ticket broker who could get them the unobstructed, 300-level tickets for $2,000 each.

To cover the cost, Lask says she took $3,000 out of her savings account to pay for the tickets. Her mom paid the other $1,000 and paid for Lask’s flight from Florida to St. Louis, where they met and drove to Chicago together for the concert. Her mother also paid for the hotel room after the concert.

Resale Ticket Prices Have Gone Through the Ceiling

Lask wasn’t the only fan spending thousands on tickets to The Eras Tour – resale ticket prices have skyrocketed, even as the singer has continued to add more tour dates. Earlier this month, Swift unveiled a schedule for previously unannounced North American shows running through November in Miami, New Orleans, Indiana and Canada. After that, she'll take the show abroad.

The average resale ticket sold for the concert at the time of publications is $1,619, according to SeatGeek. By comparison, the average resale concert ticket this year is about $245.

“What makes (Swift’s ticket sales) even more impressive is that she is drawing this level of demand while playing at the largest venues in the country,” says Chris Leyden, director of growth marketing at SeatGeek. “Taylor nearly broke the internet during her Eras Tour tickets sales, and the demand has not subsided.”

Fans Went Way Over Budget

Even fans who managed to get their tickets during the presale at lower prices often spent more than they expected.

Swift may have competition when it comes to fans spending on concert tickets, however. A recent InvestorsObserver survey found that fans of Beyonce were laying out an average of $1,800 each to see Queen Bey perform, about $300 more than the average spend by Swifties.

For some, however, forking over four digits for a concert is just too much. More than 70% of consumers recently told LendingTree that they've opted out of seeing their favorite performers because prices were too high.

But for Lask, who has seen Swift in concert four times, the experience was worth the money.

“She is my favorite artist, and she has released so much new music since her last tour, I couldn’t miss it,” Lask says. “It was so amazing, I cried multiple times. It was surreal being there after the battle and uncertainty of getting tickets. I just couldn’t believe I was there.”

Here’s How to Get Taylor Swift Eras Tour Tickets (Even if They’ve Sold Out)

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission.

Taylor Swift ‘s Eras Tour might be ending later this year, but it’s already become the most successful tour in history, grossing over $1 billion in ticket sales — and, of course, selling out immediately.

“A lot of you are like, ‘How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?’” Swift recently said at her Liverpool show, later referencing the official end of the Eras Tour later this year. “And for me, the celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December, like that’s it. And that feels like so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour, because you have made this so much fun for us.”

So far in 2024, the Eras Tour has seen appearances from everyone from Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce during The Tortured Poets Department section of show, to the debut of Swift’s duet with Gracie Abrams of “Us,” from the singer-songwriter’s new album.

Swift previously delighted fans when she released her Grammy-winning album Midnights and announced a new tour in 2022. But Swifties weren’t feeling happy right after tickets initially went on sale, as overwhelming demand for Swift tickets caused Ticketmaster to cancel its public on-sale and prices to soar.

While Ticketmaster was initially the official selling partner for Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets , thousands of fans were previously left out of luck before the verified presale by Ticketmaster even ended. Fans had to sign up for the presale and be “invited” for a chance to buy tickets. And while the intention was good — no competing with bots for the best seats — few people actually got the chance to place an order.

Collect Swift’s critically acclaimed new studio LP on vinyl with this Target exclusive.

And while Swift’s run of U.S. dates initially were scheduled to wrap up in Los Angeles — just as August 2023 started to already slip away — the star announced that the Eras Tour would make a comeback in 2024, with a slew of North American dates scheduled in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis, before heading to Toronto for six dates at the Rogers Centre with Gracie Abrams.

“Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era 😝 Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024 with @gracieabrams!” Swift shared in a post on social media August 3, 2023.

If you didn’t get lucky enough to buy Taylor Swift tickets the first time around, here’s where else you might find sold-out Eras Tour stubs online.

Where to Buy Taylor Swift Tickets Online

Your best bet to find Swift tickets online now is likely to go through a reseller if you don’t get them through Ticketmaster ‘s Verified Fan registration and Verified Fan Onsale, with many of them offering discounts or promo codes that you can use for Taylor tickets.

Our suggestion: Do a little price comparison between the sites to find the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets online, and check back closer to the concert date in case ticket holders are trying to unload their seats — that’s when you’ll likely get the cheapest tickets online.

1. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on StubHub

Taylor Swift tickets on StubHub currently are on sale for as low as $311 for her Fourth of July show in Amsterdam, and as much as $2,440 for the Miami show on October 18. While there isn’t an active StubHub promo online right now, the site does have one of the best policies in case Swift has to cancel one of her shows. If an event is canceled, the site will give you a StubHub credit for 120% of the amount you paid.

2. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on Vivid Seats

Tickets on Vivid Seats currently start around the $2,100 mark for 300-level seats for Swift’s Miami dates, with cheaper tickets available for dates outside of the U.S. (like, $275 USD for Amsterdam dates). Use our exclusive  Rolling Stone  promo code  RS2024  at checkout to save $20 off your $200+ order through the mobile app. Vivid Seats also has a rewards program that lets you buy 10 tickets and get the 11th ticket free.

3. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on TicketNetwork

You might not be able to find Taylor Swift tickets on Ticketmaster, but we spotted great seats available on TicketNetwork.com . The resale site has seats from $1,129 online for her upcoming Dublin show, which is not cheap but still one of the lowest prices we’re seeing for the Ireland dates. TicketNetwork also works with Affirm, so you can buy your tickets now and pay over time. Want a Taylor Swift discount code? You can use TicketNetwork ‘s promo code TNTIX saves you $10 off your order.

4. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on SeatGeek

We spotted many Taylor Swift tickets on SeatGeek as of this writing, and the site is usually a solid bet for resale tickets to popular concerts and events. Use the SeatGeek promo code ROLLINGSTONE10 to get $10 off your $250+ ticket purchase. It’s not a huge discount but still a chance to get save on Taylor tix. SeatGeek will also often offer other promo codes, if you’re looking for discounted Taylor Swift tickets, so we recommend keeping an eye out on their site.

5. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on Gametime

Another trustworthy resale site you can look for Eras Tour tickets is Gametime . Of course, Taylor Swift ticket prices can change at any time, but right now, the cheapest tickets for the Miami opener this October Swifties will find on the site start around $2,153 per ticket. Sometimes Gametime will offer a deal or promotion on tickets, so keep an eye out for discounted tickets on the site’s sidebar for flash deals.

6. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on Viagogo

The most affordable tickets we spotted for Swift’s Miami dates on resale site Viagogo start around $2,267 per ticket, which gets you a seat in the 300-level area of the Hard Rock Stadium. We like shopping for tickets on Viagogo because you can see what your view will be before buying the tickets on its site. But as most Swifties have discovered, there’s really no bad seat for the Eras Tour.

7. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on TicketLiquidator

Resale site TicketLiquidator has several available tickets to the upcoming Eras Tour dates. We spotted tickets for the opening night in Miami this October starting at $3,500+ for the 300-level section, and going up to as much as $7,500 for floor seats.

(Note: All of these promo codes were live and verified at time of this article’s publishing.)

What Stage Setup Can You Expect at the Eras Tour?

If you’re stumped on which tickets to get, checking out the stage layout is pretty helpful, and super easy to find while you’re purchasing tickets. While each stage layout may differ slightly depending on the stadium, it looks like all will have a main stage, a walkway leading to a diamond-shaped smaller stage, and finally, a ramp leading to a rectangular mini-stage (see below for an example). Obviously, Eras Tour tickets surrounding the main stage will be the priciest but you might find some decent prices next to the secondary stages.

If you haven’t scored seats yet to one of the top-selling tours in history, you may be wondering how much are Taylor Swift tickets to The Eras Tour and what the price for original versus resale tickets are.

Swift announced The Eras Tour in November 2022. The tour—which was announced less than two weeks after the release of her most recent album, Midnights —is a “journey through the musical eras” of Swift’s past 10 albums at the time: 2006’s Taylor Swift ; 2008’s Fearless ; 2010’s Speak Now ; 2012’s Red ; 2014’s 1989 ; 2017’s Reputation ; 2019’s Lover ; 2020’s Folklore and Evermore ; and 2022’s Midnights.  Due to the current health crisis, Swift’s most recent four albums— Lover , Folklore , Evermore and Midnights —were performed on tour for the first time on The Eras Tour. At the Grammys 2024, Swift also announced her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department.

As many fans suspected, Taylor is embarking on tour in support of the many albums she's released since 2017's Reputation and its tour in 2018, including Lover , evermore , folklore , Midnights and all the Taylor's Version re-records . Because that's a lot to pack into one tour, Taylor has cleverly titled her latest trip around the United States the "Eras Tour," and in her own words, it's been "a long time coming." (And if you're overseas, don't worry — she'll be heading your way too!)

Taylor shared the big news on Instagram with a pic of the tour poster, which features images from Fearless, Lover , and Red, among several others. "I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)" she wrote. "The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can!" Taylor Swift concert ticket prices: How Eras Tour compares to buying Super Bowl 58 tickets

I t seemed nigh impossible for most fans to get tickets to Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" when it first began in 2023. Even as its international leg starts in 2024 with a few added North American dates for later in the year, it still appears to require a fair amount of luck or an open wallet to get to see her perform live.

Swift's loyal fanbase has ensured that just about anytime tickets go on sale, the windows to sign up for them open and shut in a matter of seconds. Fans need to be on a waitlist just to get access codes just to have a chance at  possibly  landing tickets. Even then, there is still no guarantee.

The secondary market offers a much more ready-made chance to purchase tickets, but those that are available are also significantly more expensive, as those lucky enough to snipe tickets through the original means sell them off at larger rates to those hoping to have a chance at seeing her perform.

Super Bowl tickets are even more difficult to obtain. The game sells out early at face value with the seats going to legacy fans like season-ticket holders through a lottery system or enter through a prize system. Just about all the seats available are sold through the re-sale market. Prices just to get into the stadium and sit in the loftiest of nosebleed seats will often run fans several thousand dollars.

BUY NOW: Tickets for Super Bowl 58

This year's Super Bowl will see the "Eras Tour" and the NFL intersect — somewhat. Swift will be at the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She will not be performing, however. That will be left strictly to Usher.

How do the cost of tickets compare between the Super Bowl and the "Eras Tour"? Here's what you need to know.

How 'Eras Tour' ticket costs compare to Super Bowl

'eras tour' ticket cost.

Swift was the most in-demand act of 2023, with an average ticket cost of $1,088.56, according to CNBC . Her average ticket sales came in just behind Adele, who averaged $1,243.96 in concerts.

That doesn't mean it's always too expensive to see Swift perform. The face value for those tickets ranges between $49 and $499 (plus fees),  StyleCaster reported . That's before the tickets get to the resale market, where tickets can go for as much as $11,000, per the Los Angeles Times .

If fans were hoping to go to Japan the night before the Super Bowl to see Swift perform, the cheapest ticket currently available on StubHub is $310, while VIP packages run up to $7,450.

  • Wednesday, February 7
  • Thursday, February 8
  • Friday, February 9

The benefit to the "Eras Tour" is that Swift will be performing multiple nights throughout the stretch and typically at NFL stadiums, meaning there are plenty of opportunities to see her perform.

Super Bowl ticket cost

It's nearly impossible to buy a ticket at face value. Those tickets are not readily available to the masses, meaning the prices hardly matter for the general public.

The average cost of a Super Bowl ticket on the resale market is currently around $9,800, according to CNN . That's nearly the cost of the most expensive Swift ticket one can purchase.

The cheapest ticket on StubHub for the Super Bowl is $6,221. The most expensive is to sit in Section C110, the lower bowl near one of the 20-yard lines. That ticket will cost someone $95,196.

Why is it so much more than the "Eras Tour" tickets? Well, consider that Swift is slated to perform over 150 shows during her long-running tour. It might be hard to see her, but there are more than 150 different places fans can go to see her perform.

There is only one Super Bowl. Throw in the fact it's two premier teams in the Chiefs and 49ers, headlined by stars like Patrick Mahomes and Kelce — not to mention Swift in attendance — and it's no wonder this year's Super Bowl is expected to be the most expensive edition of the game to date.

Fans are undoubtedly chomping at the bit at the prospect of a new Taylor Swift tour as the musician has not gone on tour since 2018, when she went on her Reputation Stadium Tour. She has released four new albums in the meantime, Lovers , Folklore , Evermore , and the recently released Midnight . She also re-recorded both Fearless and Red under the subtitle of Taylor’s Version so she can own her older music. So if you are a Taylor Swift fan and are excited about her upcoming The Eras Tour, click here to preregister for tickets so you do not miss out when the tickets eventually go on sale in a couple of weeks.

How much will Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour tickets be? Where to get The Eras Tour pre-sale codes? What cities will Taylor play in? Here's what we know...

Listen to this article

Taylor Swift ? Going on tour? The rumours ARE true. The Eras Tour IS happening. And we're all about to be filing for bankruptcy after fighting to get our hands on those tickets.

In case you haven't heard, Taylor confirmed that she is set to tour after the release of her tenth studio album Midnights . So far, Taylor's official channels have only confirmed that she will be touring the US and the UK, but worldwide dates will be announced soon.

Taylor's last tour was way back in 2018 when she took Reputation on the road. She was then scheduled to tour her Lover album with a series of Lover Fest shows in 2020, but had to cancel due to the pandemic.

That means she's now got a whopping FOUR new albums ( Lover , Folklore, Evermore, Midnights ) and two re-recorded albums ( Fearless TV and Red TV ) that have yet to be toured.

Fans have been desperate to see the made-up Folklovermore tour happen, but now we've got The Eras Tour to look forward to. Here's everything we know about the tour so far, including tour dates, tour stops, potential ticket prices, where to find pre-sale codes and everything in between.

The Eras Tour dates: When is Taylor Swift going on tour in 2023?

So far, Taylor has only confirmed tour dates for the US leg of The Eras Tour. She'll start her US shows in late March 2023, and play through to early August 2023.

As for the UK tour dates? We're still waiting for confirmation on those. Based on her tweet, Taylor will tour the UK and Europe after the US leg. Other international tour dates will also follow.

Back in 2019, Taylor explained to Zane Lowe why she couldn't commit to a worldwide Lover stadium tour : "I’ve got some pretty intense things happening with my family right now. I can’t go on long tours and not have the ability to go home if I need to. I have priorities that aren’t just touring now, and [the fans] have been really respectful of that in the past."

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour pre-sale codes: How to find a pre-sale code for your country

In the UK, fans were able to get a pre-sale code when they pre-ordered the Midnights album from Taylor's official UK store . The window to secure those codes has now closed, but more codes will no doubt be announced once the UK dates are confirmed.

For fans in the US, there's several ways in which you can get a pre-sale code for the tour. First, you can get a pre-sale code through the Capital One exclusive cardholder pre-sale .

Taylor Swift 2023 tour locations: What cities will Taylor play in?

Taylor has confirmed that The Eras Tour will be an international tour, but so far, only the US leg locations have been announced.

On the US leg, Taylor will be stopping in 20 cities across the country, with 27 shows announced so far. Here's the full list so far:

  • Glendale, AZ
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Arlington, TX
  • Houston, TX
  • Nashville, TN
  • Atlanta, GA
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Foxborough, MA
  • East Rutherford, NJ
  • Chicago, IL
  • Detroit, MI
  • Pittsburgh, PA
  • Minneapolis, MN
  • Cincinatti, OH
  • Kansas City, MO
  • Seattle, WA
  • Santa Clara, CA
  • Los Angeles, CA

Taylor's Lover Fest tour was scheduled to have festival dates in Europe (Belgium, Germany, Norway, UK, Denmark, Poland, France, Spain and Portugal. UK's Glastonbury was also included in those dates), South America (Brazil) and North America (Atlanta, Los Angeles and Foxborough).

In contrast, Taylor's record breaking Rep tour had 53 shows, with Taylor visiting the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Thanks to her announcement, we know for sure that Taylor will be touring in the UK. As for what cities? We'll have to wait for the announcement to know more about where Taylor will be playing outside of the US.

The Eras Tour ticket prices: How much will the tickets to Taylor Swift's tour be?

Until the tickets start to go on sale, we won't know exactly how much it'll cost for pit standing, standard standing or seated admission.

Fans have been sharing information about how much they've paid in the past for her stadium shows. Prices for her upcoming tour will probably not be the same, but could be a similar price depending on the location.

But with Ticketmaster's controversial Platinum ticket feature that saw Harry Styles fans end up paying extortionate amounts for his upcoming shows, the most in-demand tickets at Taylor's shows could end up being more expensive than ever.

That said, we'll just have to wait and see! Better start saving up now, Swifties!

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour setlist: What songs will she play?

Taylor has confirmed that The Eras Tour is a "a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!)" With 10 albums and hundreds of bops, bangers and ballads to choose from, the setlist for the The Eras Tour is going to be incredible.

Taylor will no doubt include a handful of songs from her latest album Midnights , as well as songs that have yet to be performed in a tour setting from Folklore, Evermore and Lover . (Fingers crossed for a live performance of 'Cruel Summer'!!!)

In terms of her re-recorded albums, tracks from Fearless (Taylor's Version) and Red (Taylor's Version) will also likely make the set list.

It's unclear when Taylor will be releasing any more re-recorded albums, and if they'll be released by the time she sets off on tour. Both 1989 (Taylor's Version) and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) have been teased through easter eggs and on Taylor's website. But it is possible that Taylor could perform several of her old songs that she has not yet officially re-released.

Just like on the Reputation tour, Taylor could also perform a surprise song at each of the dates.

Taylor Swift reveals jam-packed schedule for Midnights release

Will Taylor Swift headline Glastonbury in 2023?

Taylor was scheduled to perform at the iconic festival in 2020 alongside fellow headliners Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney. However, she declined to keep her headline slot when the festival was rescheduled to 2022.

Speculation that she'll finally be back on the line-up for 2023 has circulated on the internet but given that she has not yet released her own versions of her Taylor Swift, Speak Now, 1989 and Reputation albums, it's possible that she might hold off until she finally owns all of her songs and albums.

That said, the current US leg schedule does leave a cheeky gap for her to POTENTIALLY (!) perform on the Pyramid Stage on Friday 23rd June... before travelling back to the US to continue the tour in Minneapolis on the 24th.

Only time will tell if she does! If we all start manifesting now, it'll eventually come true. (And if not this year, fingers crossed for 2024!)

Swifties who want to snag tickets to Taylor Swift’s colossal Eras Tour know the experience won’t come cheap.

This year, the billionaire will only visit three U.S. cities – Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis – and prices for the in-demand shows are astronomical . For the Oct. 18 show in Miami, for example, cost of a single ticket ranged between $1,615 and $8,524 on StubHub.com as of Wednesday afternoon.

So, how else can fans see one of the world’s biggest singers? Go abroad .

In the past 30 days, searches for ‘Taylor Swift Europe tour 2024 tickets’ have increased by 300% in the U.S., indicating that some people are ready to take a long-haul flight to see the wildly popular artist live, according to travel website Islands.com .

Concert-goers who head to Europe for their Swift experience may actually save more money in the long-run . Not only are ticket prices across the pond cheaper, but many European cities, like Warsaw and Lisbon, are also budget-friendly, offering inexpensive food and lodging.

To determine the most affordable Eras Tour stops, Islands.com researchers compared the cost of a two-night trip, including one cheap ticket on StubHub.com, two nights at a four-star hotel, six inexpensive meals, two five-mile taxi rides, and one domestic beer. However, researchers didn’t account for airline tickets or concert merchandise.

With safety at the top of travelers' minds, the researchers also factored in the city’s safety rating out of 100.

Yes, I Just Made $20,000 off Taylor Swift Tickets

I didn’t set out to get rich this way—it just sorta happened..

In What It’s Like , people tell us, well, what it’s like to have experiences many of us have not even imagined. This summer, Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour was lauded for generating $5 billion in consumer spending in the United States. Some of the tour’s economic impact trickled down to average concertgoers who were able to turn a major profit on ticket resales. The inflationary nature of the “Eras” tour’s ticket prices left many in disbelief that people were willing and able to pay that much for a single concert. In this entry, we spoke to a Jersey City mother who managed to resell four Taylor Swift tickets for a whopping $20,000. Her ticket sales have been internally verified.

I had bought Taylor Swift “Eras” tour tickets to celebrate my daughter’s and niece’s eighth grade graduation. I was planning to fly my sister and niece from L.A. out to Jersey City over Memorial Day weekend to catch Taylor’s Saturday show at MetLife Stadium. We’re all pretty big Swifties, and this was going to be a celebratory girls’ night out.

I bought my tickets on Nov. 15, 2022, on Ticketmaster as a verified fan. I remember logging on around 9 or 10 a.m. and only having to wait in line for two hours—I was pretty fortunate and managed to snag four VIP tickets for around $800 each. After Ticketmaster fees, my total ended up coming out to $3,472 for four tickets. The VIP section came with these cute little boxes filled with stickers, glow bracelets, and posters.

We’re not a huge concertgoing family, so this was going to be a big outing for us—my daughter had been begging us to go to the “Eras” tour, and it would be her first-ever concert. I really like Taylor Swift as a performer and think she’s a great role model for the kids. I think the way she puts on a concert is a good representation for young teens (my daughter is 13) and she would make a fantastic first show.

Our show was in May, and in the lead-up to the concert, my daughter and niece listened to all of Taylor’s records, getting ready. Around early April, I went on StubHub, just curious to see how much tickets were going for. I was shocked to find that they were selling for a lot . So, I decided to list them—if I could sell the tickets for $5,000 each, I would let them go. If not, we would go to the show.

The intention was never to buy to sell. I wasn’t a scalper—I had originally bought the tickets because we all wanted to go to the concert. But when I saw how much they were going for, I thought, If I could make five times what I purchased them for, it would be great ROI .

It was my first time ever trying to sell something on StubHub, and the experience ended up being very easy. When I put up my tickets, I stipulated that you had to buy all of them. When I looked at the VIP section, I saw that you couldn’t really get four tickets together, so mine was one of the few where you could get four seats in a row. I selected that I wanted to take home $5,000 each for them, and StubHub listed them for $6,275 each to account for all their fees. I didn’t want to be too greedy and ask for $7,000 or something—I wanted to find a happy medium where it would be worth it for me to give up the seats but also make it possible for them to sell.

About two weeks before the concert, the tickets were purchased. A few weeks later, $20,000 was wired into our bank account! I was so excited I told everyone I knew. That’s a lot of money—there was so much we could do with it. I truly couldn’t believe that people were willing to buy tickets for that amount. I actually ended up looking up the guy who bought my tickets and found out he was the CEO of a company.

When I broke the news to my daughter and niece, they were both really, really disappointed. But I told them we could use the money to do a huge family trip in the summer, and they understood.

So we ended up renting out an entire villa in Vancouver over the summer. That $20,000 paid for a family reunion—I was able to completely cover airfare, lodging, and all meals and activities for 13 people. The house we rented was amazing—six or seven bedrooms, with an elevator and a gorgeous view of the harbor and the water. We went for a week and we did all the sights. We went shopping downtown, saw the Capilano Suspension Bridge, went kayaking, and ate some amazing meals.

Even though my daughter and niece had been sad about missing out on the concert, they were really happy hanging out with each other during that vacation. For a three-hour show, I was able to cover a full weeklong trip for 13 family members. It was definitely worth it.

I still have a hard time believing that people are willing to pay so much for a concert. If you look at the tour now, people are still reselling for such high amounts. At one point, I felt very bad about selling the tickets because the girls really wanted to go, so the weekend of the show, I went on StubHub to see if I could get last-minute tickets. The lowest price tier in the nosebleeds was going for $2,000 per ticket, and I said, “No way.” That was almost as much as I had paid for four tickets originally.

We were also hoping to get tickets in either Toronto or L.A., but prices were just as high in those cities. I think I just got very lucky with the presale on Ticketmaster originally. For me, this was definitely a one-off thing, and I don’t ever plan on doing something like this intentionally. It just so happened that we could make a lot of money on this, and so I took my chances and walked away with $20,000.

I know Taylor is returning to the United States next year for additional dates on the “Eras” tour. I think if we can get the tickets, I would love to take the girls to the concert. But only if I’m able to purchase them at face value.

Why Are Taylor Swift Eras Tour Tickets So Much Cheaper in Europe?

Trending on billboard.

That means a fan in Miami could fly to Paris for about $900 a person (according to prices generated on kayak.com), spend two nights at a four-star hotel at $250 a night and purchase a $340 concert ticket for a grand total of $1,740 — which is still $760 less than the cheapest tickets currently available for her Miami shows.

Tickets to see Swift in Stockholm (May 17-19) are even cheaper, at $312 for the cheapest tickets, while tickets for her show in Portugal (May 24-25) start at $336 and in Spain (May 29-30) start at $324. Prices do start to climb in the United Kingdom, with the get-in-the-door price hovering around £540 (about $674 USD) for Swift’s Liverpool shows (June 13-15). Prices to see Swift at Wembley Stadium (June 21-23) hover around £720 ($900).

The reason for the huge difference in price, experts say, is due in part to longstanding consumer skepticism about resale tickets in most of Europe. That’s coupled with a much more aggressive regulatory environment where artists and consumers are empowered to report and remove illegal ticket listings, and where prices are kept low thanks to laws limiting how high tickets can be marked up over face value.

Sam Shemtob , managing director for ticket resale advocacy group Face-value European Alliance for Ticketing (FEAT), points to Europe as a model for how governments can be more vigilant about regulating resale markets. In countries like France, Germany and the Netherlands, ticket resellers face limits on how much tickets can be marked up on secondary sites — typically 20% over face value. Other countries like the United Kingdom allow resale but restrict who is allowed to post tickets for resale and give artists and event promoters the right to take some resale ticket listings down.

Adopting European-style regulations in the United States by restricting ticket markups to 20% above face value would transform the concert business overnight and likely drive prices down dramatically on the secondary market. Markup caps would also likely make programs like Ticketmaster’s platinum ticket pricing (which charges high markups for a small percentage of tickets to offset the resale market) obsolete and significantly reduce the number of ticket brokers and bad actors using bots to disrupt ticket sales and illegally buy up tickets.

Shemtob notes that Europe’s ticketing rules aren’t just about protecting price, but are also designed to empower citizens to take action.

On Jan. 1, 2025, Europe’s Digital Services Act (DSA) will go into effect, creating a uniform set of guidelines for online ticket resale requiring resellers to disclose their names and contact details to potential ticket buyers. The DSA also mandates that resale platforms track takedowns of public ticket listings (to help provide a record of the deceptive activity taking place) and ban deceptive marketing practices.

While many of the DSA’s reforms mirror U.S. efforts to clean up ticketing, Shemtob says a provision in the DSA bill that makes it simple to flag, report and take down ticket listings that violate the rules is a game-changer for consumer advocates. The law creates “a clear process for removing illegal ticket listings as and when they appear,” he said in a statement provided to Billboard , putting in place “the groundwork for a fairer, more transparent ticket-buying experience for consumers.”

Besides keeping prices in Europe low, the legislation has also led to a surprising boom in tourism from U.S. fans traveling to the continent to pursue cheaper Eras Tour tickets: A spokesperson for StubHub told Billboard that 68% of ticket purchases for Swift’s 51-show run in Europe have come from U.S. buyers.

Breaking news, how much are tickets for taylor swift’s ‘eras tour’ concerts in germany.

Taylor Swift plays guitar and sings while confetti falls behind her.

Adele isn’t the only huge star heading to Germany this summer.

On July 17-19, Taylor Swift will perform back-to-back-to-back ‘Eras Tour’ gigs with Paramore at Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins Arena.

These three shows will be her first in Deutschland since June 2015 when she visited Cologne on her ‘1989 World Tour.’

And while the hype is certainly real for these highly-anticipated concerts, prices have dropped precipitously since we last checked how much tickets cost for the Veltins Arena shows back in April following the release of “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Back then, the lowest price we could find on ‘Eras Tour’ tickets was $612 USD before fees on Vivid Seats.

Just three months later, some last-minute seats are going for as low as $342 USD before fees at the time of publication.

That’s $270 in savings (!) just for waiting.

Sometimes “all of this silence and patience, pining in anticipation” as Tay Tay sings in “Dress,” really does pay off.

Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ news

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely over the past year.

Over the past few months, we spoke to a Swiftie who  shared some helpful tips  about seeing Taylor live, reported on  dropping ticket prices , and  came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends .

Taylor Swift new music

Swift’s  “The Tortured Poets Department”  was released at midnight (and subsequently at 2 a.m.) on Friday, April 19.

While every listener will likely come away with their own favorites, we particularly enjoyed the sleek, synthy “Fortnight,” icy “So Long, London,” anthemic “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” a bombastic slow build of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and gorgeously arranged “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.”

If you want to give it a spin — if you’re one of the few people on the planet who hasn’t already, that is — you can find “The Tortured Poets Department”  here .

The Hayley Williams-fronted pop-punk rockers are opening for Swift from May through August this year. This may come as a bit of a surprise to some fans considering that the group mounted a successful arena tour of their own in 2023.

That tour came on the heels of Paramore’s 2022 reunion; Prior to that, the band had been on a five-year hiatus.

For fans who want to check out their latest, their 2023 album “This Is Why” can be heard  here .

Huge stars on tour in 2024

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (sometimes more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable — likely stateside — concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

•  Olivia Rodrigo

•  Kacey Musgraves

•  Pink

•  Gracie Abrams

•  Billie Eilish

I went to taylor swift’s eras tour — here’s how much i spent (and why it was worth it).

If you’re a Swiftie, you know all too well that musician Taylor Swift has spent nearly two years on her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Since the tour’s first stop in Glendale, Arizona on March 17, 2023, Swift has performed more than 100 shows in over 150 stadiums across five continents. Her three-hour plus setlist has expanded to include songs from her most recent album “The Tortured Poets Department.” Fans have danced so hard to her music that cities like Los Angeles, Seattle and Edinburgh all experienced seismic activity as a result. The concert received the silver screen treatment with the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” movie, cited by Billboard as the highest-grossing concert film of all time.

The Eras Tour has also had an unprecedented Midas touch on the local economy of every city Swift performs in, domestic and international alike. In September 2023, the U.S. Travel Association shared data on the economic impact of Eras some five months and 20 cities into the U.S. leg of the tour. Concertgoing Swifties averaged $1,300 spent on travel, hotel stays, food, merch and apparel.

How close does this average spending data match the reality for Eras concertgoers and their budgets ? To find out, GOBankingRates spoke to a Swiftie who attended the Eras Tour. Here’s how much she spent seeing Taylor Swift.

‘My total was $1,439: more than I have ever spent to see [Swift] in the past.’

Krista Becker has attended every Taylor Swift tour. She told GOBankingRates she previously paid anywhere from $50 to $200 for concert tickets. As for travel expenses, she didn’t have to think about extensively covering these costs, since the venues she saw Swift at were always close to home.

This all changed with the Eras Tour. Becker, who said she wasn’t able to see Swift in North America in 2023 due to her own travel schedule, attended night three of Swift’s Amsterdam show this year.

Becker was gracious enough to share with GOBankingRates a breakdown of the $1,439 total she spent on travel, tickets and more as an Eras attendee.

Explore More: What the Upper Middle Class Makes in Different US Cities

After waiting for five hours in an online queue that started at 4 a.m. EST on Ticketmaster, Becker was able to purchase the Floor VIP (All Too Well Package) for $514.

Flight, Lodging and Transit

The total roundtrip cost for Becker’s flights was $1,300. However, she told GOBankingRates she paid $700 and put existing points towards paying for the remaining $600.

For lodging accommodations, Becker’s stay was free — she was able to stay with a family member who resided in Amsterdam.

Transit costs to and from the stadium amounted to $7.50, but Becker said the cost was “free for me,” because she was able to use a family member’s monthly metro pass.

Eras Tour Outfit and Merchandise

Becker was able to keep her full ensemble for the show under $100.

“I custom made a blazer by hand embroidering it and bedazzling it,” she said. “I wore a two-piece under it that I got used online for $20 and wore sneakers I owned. My earplugs were $17.”

During the show, Becker spent $125 on merchandise, which included a t-shirt and sweatshirt.

Why the Cost Was Worth It

Savvy readers will notice Becker’s total amount spent on the Eras Tour is just $139 more than the average amount the typical Swiftie tour attendee spends. While Becker said she would not be able to afford to spend the same amount of money like this twice in one year, she would still have done it again in a heartbeat.

And because Becker was unable to see Swift in North America, she said it was worth it to spend the money to see Swift in Europe. Becker’s stay with family allowed her to turn this trip into a vacation. Before the show, Becker was able to travel around a bit. On the night of the Eras Tour, she went with her cousin, who lives locally, and a close friend who flew in from Oregon.

During her 100th show in Liverpool, Swift announced the Eras Tour would conclude in December 2024 . Fans like Becker who were able to attend aren’t entirely likely to look back on the Eras Tour with regret over the receipts from the event. Their memories, if we had to bet on it, are more likely to be bejeweled in nature, recalling the experience of singing along to Swift’s lyrics with thousands of fans and enjoying the once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Becker noted she has attended every single Swift tour. She said she could not have missed out on the Eras Tour.

When Do Tickets for the Best Concerts Of 2024 Go On Sale?

Tickets for all of these concerts have already gone on sale, so make sure to buy yours as soon as possible. A few tours don’t have any available tickets on Ticketmaster, so keep that in mind as you plan your concert experience.

How Much Are Tickets For The Best Concerts Of 2024?

A good rule of thumb to keep in mind is that the farther away you are from the stage, the cheaper your ticket will probably be—ticket prices also drop as you sit further to either side of the venue’s center section. It’s important to make sure your seat has a clear view of the stage (most reseller platforms will tell you if it doesn’t). Partial view tickets are cheaper.

Furthermore, many great ticket deals on reseller sites only apply if you buy at least two tickets together. So, if you and your friends want to see a show, you can easily save money by having one person buy all the tickets.

Ticket prices also vary by location. For example, a concert in Detroit, Michigan or Lexington, Kentucky will typically cost less than one in New York City or Los Angeles. Shows abroad may also cost less, especially if you plan to see Taylor Swift during her Eras tour; her European shows are much more affordable than her North American concerts. Take time to do some research and figure out when and where the best ticket opportunity works for you.

What Artists Are Touring In New York In 2024?

A plethora of musicians are performing at various venues in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, including Billie Eilish, Blink-182, Childish Gambino, Green Day, Ice Spice, Kacey Musgraves, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira, Usher and Weezer. Post Malone is also touring in Syracuse and Wantagh, New York.

I impulse-booked a $6,000 trip to see Taylor Swift in Europe. I paid just $727, thanks to credit card points.

  • I booked a flight to Amsterdam on a whim just two hours before the plane's scheduled departure time.
  • While waiting to board, I purchased my Eras Tour ticket, booked a hotel, and found a return flight.
  • This trip had a cash value of $6,183, but I only paid $727. My credit card rewards covered the rest.

I booked a flight from Texas to Amsterdam two hours before departure time to see Taylor Swift in Amsterdam.

I wanted to catch the Eras Tour, and concert ticket prices in Europe were relatively low on Independence Day. So I canceled my fireworks plans to pack a backpack for a whirlwind trip to the Netherlands.

I spent a total of 26 hours on the ground in Amsterdam, and attended the Eras Tour concert solo. I had a blast meeting strangers from around the world, and I only paid $727 for the whole experience — show ticket included.

I have several of the best travel rewards credit cards , which I leveraged to pull off this spontaneous two-day trip to Europe.

How much my trip was worth vs. how much I paid

Taylor Swift's economic clout is hitting Europe right now, and will return to North America later this year. True to Swiftonomics , the average lowest ticket price at any concert location in the U.S. or Canada is nearly $2,000 — more than double the total cost of my trip, including flights and hotels.

The following factors helped me pull off this incredibly spontaneous adventure:

I only packed a backpack

The key to efficient travel is packing as little as you can. Since this was such a whirlwind trip, I packed everything into my favorite travel backpack and called it a day.

The hardest part was figuring out an Eras Tour outfit on such short notice, and I wasn't as dolled up as I would've liked since I had to choose clothing and accessories that were small and soft enough to throw in my backpack. Furthermore, I had to plan ahead for cool and rainy weather, so I opted for a cute raincoat over some comfortable clothing.

I booked a direct flight

I'm all for taking the scenic route on leisure trips. But I avoid connecting flights when I'm on a tight timeline, especially in summertime because inclement weather often impacts travel .

I would not have taken this particular trip if not for a direct flight from my home airport of Austin to Amsterdam, because there would have been a much higher chance of being delayed.

I chose a city with great public transportation

I chose to attend a concert in Amsterdam because the city has a beautiful public transit system that made it very easy to travel to the concert venue. I felt very safe on the intercity train as a solo female traveler. I paid just over $5 each way (€4.90), which was infinitely cheaper and faster than taking an Uber at $60 each way.

One of Amsterdam's train lines runs directly from the airport hotel to the Johan Cruijff Arena. Instead of buying a ticket, I used my Chase Sapphire Reserve® via Apple Wallet to tap in and out of each station.

I went solo

Many people hesitate to travel alone, but the tradeoff is flexibility. I found a well-priced seat for the concert with an clear view of the stage because it was a lone spot in an otherwise sold-out section. I also found great deals on my award flights, which would have been far harder to coordinate with a travel partner.

I saved over $5,000 with points and miles

This trip was only possible because of my stash of credit card points and miles. While the cash value of my escapade exceeds $6,000, it's fair to argue that I would never have considered this trip if I had had to pay that much out of pocket, because I'm not comfortable going into debt to attend a concert.

Here's how much I paid for each segment of my trip:

Austin to Amsterdam on KLM

38,500 Flying Blue points and $86 vs. $1,961.50 cash value

I transferred Amex points from my American Express account to book an economy seat just two hours before departure time. Transfers are instantaneous, and I was able to rush to the airport in time to get on my flight.

Round-trip tickets on this exact route would have cost me $3,923. Instead, I paid just 38,500 points and $86 in taxes and fees.

Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel

1 Marriott Bonvoy Free Night Award (up to 50K) and 4,000 Bonvoy points vs. $405 cash value

After mapping out the route from the Amsterdam Schipol airport to the concert destination, I decided to book a hotel at the airport. The Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel was the perfect spot because it's directly connected to both the airport as well as the train station.

I booked the room using a free night award I earned from a new customer bonus on the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card credit card. If I had paid cash, my room would have cost $405.

The real benefits of this room came from my Marriott Gold elite status, which allows me to request early check-in when available. I could check in around 11:30 a.m., which was lovely after a 10-hour flight and jet lag.

I even had a fun view of the airport, train station, and the control tower from my room window.

Amsterdam to Austin on KLM

35,000 Flying Blue points and $246.40 vs. $3,418 cash value

I flew home in premium economy because, thanks to a quirk in the awards booking system, the premium seat was significantly cheaper than economy. I did end up paying more taxes and fees for this seat, but it felt worthwhile for the comfort and cost savings because the flight was worth $3,418, according to Google Flights.

I earned additional rewards by using the right credit cards

Points and miles don't cover everything. I still had to pay $727 out of pocket for my concert ticket and the taxes and fees on my flights.

However, I have multiple credit cards that earn bonus rewards on certain categories of expenses. I earned:

  • 1,921 Chase Ultimate Rewards points for the concert with my Chase Freedom Flex® (live entertainment is one of the 5% rotating bonus categories from July 1 through September 30, 2024).
  • 739 Chase Ultimate Rewards points on my flight taxes and fees on the flight back to the U.S. with my Chase Sapphire Reserve® to enjoy the best credit card travel insurance (though thankfully I didn't need to use it)
  • 86 Amex Membership Rewards points on the taxes and fees from my award flight to Amsterdam on The Business Platinum Card® from American Express .

Would I do it again? Maybe.

The best thing about points and miles is that they're entirely at your disposal. You can use credit card awards to book luxury vacations, seek out gritty adventures, and do everything else in between. My favorite award redemptions always come with a story, whether it's flying home to surprise my family last-minute or jetting off to Amsterdam to see the world's biggest pop star.

Taylor Swift Eras tour: Cheapest tickets available for final UK shows

Taylor Swift returns to the UK next month for five more shows

  • 14:51, 22 JUL 2024

Taylor Swift will return to Wembley Stadium in London for five more shows - and you can still get tickets

The end of Taylor Swift's Eras tour in Europe is now less than a month away - but before that, the songstress has five more shows left to perform at London's Wembley Stadium, and there are plenty of tickets left up for grabs.

Sites such as viagogo and VividSeats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale - such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation - to ensure a smooth live event experience.

Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk. With that said, viagogo also commented: "viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee."

If you're looking to avoid a Cruel Summer, and enjoy an Enchanted evening beyond your Wildest Dreams, the cheapest ticket options are currently available from viagogo or StubHub for Swift's second show back at Wembley, on August 16.

The lowest prices available at the time of writing are just under £800 on viagogo , and around £870 on StubHub , for this date - however, it is worth noting that these prices will get you seats behind the stage, with a restricted view.

Other restricted view tickets in this price bracket, for those looking to save the pennies, will set you back around £855 on viagogo , or £875 on StubHub (both for the August 16 show) for upper-tier seats looking onto the back corner of the stage.

But if you're happy to splash out to enjoy a better view of the Shake It Off artist, be prepared to spend over £1,000, on whichever site you are buying from - with the current cheapest tickets with a decent stage view starting from £1,007 on viagogo , and from £1,055 on StubHub .

Meanwhile, on VividSeats , there are no resale tickets left available for under £1,000 - with your cheapest option being approx. £1,025 for restricted view tickets, or £1,240 for seats with a view, both for August 15, the first show back at Wembley.

And if you want to be right in the action with standing tickets, these start from £1,340 on viagogo , for the August 16 show; from £1,475 on StubHub , for the August 15 show; and from just under £1,450 on VividSeats , for August 17 - all of which will get you into general admission standing.

To get standing tickets right up front, alongside the diamond-shaped walkway leading down from the main stage, be prepared to spend over £1,750 on viagogo - for any of the five remaining Wembley dates - and the same on StubHub , with front standing prices from this site ranging up to more than £2,000. Meanwhile, front standing on VividSeats starts from £1,460, for Taylor's August 17 show.

Taylor Swift will return to Wembley on August 15, 16, 17, 19, and 20 - and however much you end up spending, it's sure to be a night you will remember All Too Well.
