Wendy Wu Tours: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Excellent company. Cambodian tour was amazing. Wonderful guide (Sokhoeun Bout), great accommodation, oodles of quality food in ambient, atmospheric restaurants and experiences of a lifetime.
Fantastic experience: Further to my pre tour rant, have returned from the Essential Japan tour. Totally blown away by the trip, the tour guide Yoko was amazingly good, patient and with a warm personality to go with a great sense of humour. The tour itself covered the major spots and with the blossom in full bloom it was a sight not to miss. the selection of hotels was good, food was varied and always presented well as well as tasty, probably too much midday! Transfers on coaches and trains were brilliant. Definitely highly recommend Wendy Wu Tours.
Fantastic experience: Excellent tour of Vietnam everything I could have wished for,I loved Vietnam its people and culture .Our tour guide David was well spoken and polite and the tour itself was small and we covered everything the hotels clean and tidy.
Fantastic experience: My wife and I have just returned from a 16 day China experience, first trip away with Wendy Wu but wont be the last.Great accommodation and meals, small friendly group from all around the world. Had the best guide "ALICE" looking after all our needs, nothing was a problem to this respectful, knowledgeable, English speaking Chinese young girl, very passionate about her roll in making our trip a memorable one. Alice was certainly accepted and appreciated by everyone, and any Wendy Wu Tour under her control will ensure the group miss nothing and bring home great memories.Congratulations Wendy Wu you have picked a winner in Alice and her local guides. Thank you.
Positive experience: We recently took part in Wendy Wu's 10 day China Experience tour. (16-26 October 2016). The scope of the trip appeared to be what we wanted, ie. to see the icons of China in a relatively short space of time. We started in Shanghai, encompassing Zhujoakiao water town, museum, People's Square, Silk museum and a harbour/bund light show and cruise. then Xian for the amazing Terracotta Warriors, city wall, Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Quarter market. Finally Beijing for Tiananem Sq, Forbidden city, Temple of Heaven and a walk on the Great Wall. All these attractions teamed with a KungFu Show and Acrobatic demo side events made for a busy schedule but ticked off plenty of bucket list items. In the time available I doubt we could have crammed in anymore. 3 meals a day of Chinese cuisine gave us the opportunity to try local and traditional fare, and there was plenty on offer. As a side note here, some of the restaurants were not up to the standard of venues on our previous tours with this company (crowded dining rooms, drink prices on the high side and early to eat or rushed to mesh with other bus diner groups.) At the start we were joined by our National Guide, Garry Guo who quickly earned the respect of the group with his enthusiastic presentation and attention to detail and making sure everyone was not impacted adversely by necessary changes in plans.. The program was altered a number of times to suit local issues (usually congested traffic delays) and on all occasions Garry discussed and explained why and what we needed to do. There was never any doubt that we understood we were in good hands. His rapport with local guides helped to ensure we heard and understood the cultural and historic information and knowledge being passed on to us. Garry is an asset to the Wendy Wu company and this was publicly endorsed in the farewell function comments. In general summary this is a good starter trip if you want a snapshot of the country and to experience the "big ticket items" It did what we wanted.
Positive experience: Wonders of China: We both loved our China tour indeed, thanks to our wonderful Tour Guide George Pu. He truly deserves all the credit of making our tour a memorable one. George Pu, I believe, went over and above his duty of care, spoiling us all with clock work organised events. However, the one thing that was annoying, was his continued time away from the team helping a "wheelchair team member " - when we needed his attention, he was helping this wheelchair lady into the bus, into the restaurant, into the transport, etc. In my opinion, Wendy Wu should not have put her with able body people. I think there should've been more "me time " on the tour. There was far too much, crammed into each day. We don't understand why the Muslim Street tour (no disrespect to the Muslims). The food was great but towards the end of the tour, Maccas and Pizzas, and even a good Irish stew, (we did go to a Irish Pub on the last night) was high on our preferred menu. Having said that, George truly did his very best to cater for us all. And lastly, "smoking " in the Hotels and Restaurants was disgraceful. Wendy Wu needs to be aware of this problem in the Hotels they choose for us. In my opinion, George Pu should be commended for his organisational skills right up to each individual boarding their homeward bound flights. What an amazing man. Cheers to you George - you're worth your weight in GOLD. Regards, Allan and Alice.
Fantastic experience: Friendly service
Fantastic experience: We went on the Vietnam tour. Our tour guide, Hoi was fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable. We saw so much and Hoi made it very interesting. I only have one little complaint, while we saw a lot, we didn’t get much down time to do shopping, and when we did, the hotels were away from shopping, we had to catch a taxi but that is only a minor thing. We will be using Wendy Wu again.
Fantastic experience: It’s a beautiful tour from Cambodia to Vietnam. The river boat is lovely, relaxing and food is great. The tours have been awesome x
Fantastic experience: Very happy with our experience. When we had an issue with our hotel Wendy Wu fixed it by the next day.
Fantastic experience: Perfect trip, couldn't fault it
Positive experience: We have just returned from an amazing trip to cambodia & Vietnam , have walked klms & climbed a million stairs, our tour quires were informative and helpful in everyday. My husband found at 71 the pace was too fast, itinerary too full, but I at 69 kept up and loved every minute! Thankyou !
Fantastic experience: My parents and I have just returned from the Highlights of India tour with Wendy Wu and we had an absolutely wonderful time. Our tour guide Jasvir was amazing and went above and beyond to make our holiday truly memorable and special. Jasvir was a wealth of knowledge about all the different places we visited, he we was organised so everything ran smoothly and he was just a joy to be around….I could tell he truly loved his job. I would definitely recommend the Highlights of India Tour through Wendy Wu to anyone wishing to to travel to India. I am already planning my next adventure to this beautiful country!
Fantastic experience: Recently returned from Vietnam on the Vietnam at a glance tour. Our tour guide John was fantastic and the tour itself was really well organised. We were unable to visit Halong Bay due to bad weather but an alterative was organised for us to visit Ninh Binh and it became one of the highlights of the trip! I will definitely be going back with Wendy Wu! Amazing experience and memories to cherish
Fantastic experience: Beautiful trip
Fantastic experience: April 2019 - Majestic Yangtze Tour. We have just arrived back from this tour and cannot recommend it enough. Our national tour guide Lily along with the local guides provided us with 1st class service and an enormous amount of local knowledge and history. The standard of the hotels were very good except some of the hotels didn't cater for western cultures ie an alcohol bar where you could sit, relax have a drink and catch up with your fellow tour mates to talk about your days adventures. The different modes of transport was also a great way to travel around the country. The Victoria Jenna Cruise ship up the Yangtze was one of the highlights of the tour. Many thanks to Lily once again and Wendy Wu for making this holiday such a joy and trouble free. Frank and Carolyn Quabba from Mackay Qld.
Positive experience: The feedback on the Tours is good, but be very careful about anything over and above the Tour booking as their pricing for pre/post or changes is over and beyond what it should be.
Fantastic experience: We have just returned from the 14 day Majestic Yangtze tour and I can't recommend it more highly. Our Tour Escort Penny Li was amazing, not only an excellent organizer but she cared especially well for those in our group who were a little less able. Five stars for her! Experiencing a different culture was great. Learning of the history through local guides and Cultural shows brought China alive. The river was beautiful, Tribe of the Three Gorges a wonderful presentation, the Dam a great achievement. Pandas, Warriors the Great Wall, the beauties of Xi'an, silk and jade, and of course the food - banquets twice a day and every possible food on display in the local markets, just amazing. I have no negative comment to make, well done Wendy Wu.
Fantastic experience: Excellent Your with small tour group to make it easier on everyone.
Fantastic experience: Oct 2019 - We have just returned from a 26 day 'Wendy Wu - Grand Tour of China' which was absolutely EXCELLENT!!! Our China holiday gave us an insight into a beautiful country, rich in history and tradition. We were extremely impressed with its clean and safe modern cities filled with beautiful helpful people. Our National Guide was Sam Gao who was very professional, his expert knowledge of history and facts on every city and region we visited was interesting and educational. Sam, together with the local guides, made the tour fun and a very enjoyable experience. The many activities, evening shows, meals and hotels were brilliant, and we had so much fun with the other members of our tour group. Thank you Wendy Wu & Sam, this was a fantastic holiday with fond memories that we will remember forever, and we will be recommending this Wendy Wu tour to all our friends. John & Elena
Fantastic experience: I took my grand daughter on "A China Experience" Tour from 7th October - 15th October 2018. Is exceptional Tour, well organized, National Tour Guide ALICE is an exceptional representative for Wendy Wu Tours, has a positive attitude to her work, good listener & has the ability to meet expectations of individual Tour group members combined with a brilliant sense of humor. Bus Drivers in each city deserve a metal for driving in such congested traffic & are certainly good at their job. Local Tour Guides were very helpful, informative & able to be flexible & good sense of humor. Highlights are obviously Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors. Other highlights are the Chinese people, a "glass half full rather than half empty" Attitude, wonderful sense of humor. I was pleasantly surprised at many Chinese are able to speak very good English making traveling within China much easier. China is a must see destination.
Fantastic experience: Just back from China after a tour with Wendy Wu amazing tour very comprehensive and excellent value our tour manager Hoffman was outstanding making sure that everything went smoothly He did more than he had to do Putting himself out to ensure that the tour was enjoyable The food was exceptional and the accomadation was 1st class Individual city guides were very knowledgeable I highly recommend Wendy Wu tours and if you are very lucky you might get Hoffman as your tour Manager If I go to Asia again I'd definitely go with Wendy Wu
Fantastic experience: The staff are always extremely helpful & very knowledgeable about the destinations they sell. I love the variety of tours they offer - there's really something for everyone!
Fantastic experience: My wife and I did a Wendy Wu tour to China in August/September 2018. It was a great tour and our travel guide for the whole thing was Britney. She did an excellent job - most attentive, a good communicator and a wonderful ambassador for her country and the Wendy Wu organization.
Fantastic experience: We have just returned from our Vietnam Escape tour with Wendy Wu Tours. Absolutely fantastic time, everything was as expected and more. Our hotels were first class and our tour guides in each area were exceptional and very accommodating. Their knowledge of the areas is incredible, especially "Quong" in the Hoi An and Hue areas. Halon Bay was absolutely fantastic, our cruise boat and the crew were so helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a good cruise. Well done Wendy Wu Tours
Positive experience: Since the posting paragraph below Wendy Wu Tours has for a small fee allowed my daughter to replace me as a travelling companion for my wife and I sincerely appreciate their decision to do so. I understand that their quote which doubled was a clerical error. Wendy Wu Tours doubled a quote they had provided to me when I booked. When I asked for a family member to travel with my wife because I could not travel due to uninsurable health issues, they insisted on a 50% fee.
Fantastic experience: My husband and I have just returned from doing the Rajasthan Panorama tour.Words are just not enough !! From the very first day we arrived we were bombarded with all the sights and sounds and smells of this wonderful country.Every city we stopped at brought its own new adventure and amazing experience. Camel riding in the desert and a night in a desert camp, jeep safaris and the incredible and rare sighting of a mother tiger and her cubs in the wild, stunning forts and palaces and of course the wonderful Taj Mahal at sunrise were just a few of the superb experiences we had.The accomodation, the food, the tour guide Raj,the bus driver and his helper and of course a group of great fellow travellers made this a trip without fault. Highly recommend this trip to anyone considering India as a destination.
Positive experience: We recently did the 16 day Vietnam Tour with Wendy Wu and found all aspects of the trip fantastic - The Tour Guide NGO DUC DUNG was exceptional - hotels, food, drivers all 1st. class - would readily recommend

Editoral Review of Wendy Wu Tours
Established in 1998, Australia based company, Wendy Wu has risen from humble beginnings operating culturally rich tours to China, to now servicing most of Asia and Southeast Asia and South America. They continue to have a strong focus in China, and are one of the premiere companies for a journey to Asia.
What Makes Wendy Wu Tours Stand Out?
Award winning Wendy Wu tours is the real deal. Founded by Wendy Wu herself, an enthusiastic world traveler, these tours are incredibly welcoming. Exploring local life, classic sights, and making lasting friendships are some of the incredibly positive parts of traveling on a tour with Wendy Wu.
Their in-depth knowledge of the customs, and cultures in the regions they explore on their tours is really what makes them stand out. The wide range of tours that they offer has grown over the years to include not only China but many other areas of Asia as well. With their focus on location familiarization and knowledge, they are dedicated to showcasing the best Asia has to offer.
Who Will Enjoy Traveling With Wendy Wu Tours?
Travelers who are eager to explore farther reaches of China, with the assistance and support of a knowledgeable local guide every step of the way, will most enjoy a trip with Wendy Wu. Their approach is welcoming, friendly - guides are resourceful and helpful so all you need to do is sit back and enjoy learning about this vast beautiful country.
Wendy Wu’s traveler is generally a bit older - between 40-65. Active middle aged travelers and baby boomers with a lust for adventure as well as an appreciation of the finer things. If you love the idea of enjoying a glass of champagne atop the Great Wall, after an invigorating and rewarding walk to get there, then Wendy Wu is the perfect mix of activity and relaxation for you.
Groups are medium sized, typically no more than 24 and solo travelers are very welcome. You will not need to pay a single supplement if you are willing to share with another same-sex roommate. Most commonly the travelers on your tour will come from the UK, US, and Australia. Guides are fluent english speakers, though you may encounter some thick accents! Private and customizable tours are also offered for those seeking more flexibility in the itinerary.
As their traveler is typically from the “western” world, a sense of adventure and open mindedness is key for maximum enjoyment. In China and other Asian countries you may encounter differing levels of comfort when it comes to amenities, food, and transportation. Expect to sample a lot of local cuisine, which may be a challenge for those with sensitive stomachs. Another benefit of going with a guide who can help translate and find you things you’ll enjoy.
There have a wide variety of tour types and styles you can choose, from group tours, private guided, river cruise, luxury small group, to adventure. These are offered in a variety of budget ranges, and don’t usually involve too much strenuous physical activity - though be sure to check as some Wendy Wu tours involve challenging hikes in high altitude.
Top Destinations
Wendy Wu’s primary focus is in Asia, with a strong specialty in China. Since being founded in 1998 as a tour operator to China, they have expanded dramatically, now operating tours in most of Asia. Their extensive use of professional local guides means you’ll get an intimate look at local life and culture. You’ll be able to venture out into the countryside away from the cities for a truly immersive cultural experience.
They own and manage their own land arrangements in China, helping you get the most exclusive experience.
It might seem a bit strange as their brand is so much about welcoming travelers to China and other Asian countries, but Wendy Wu tours also visit a few South American countries. These have the same fully escorted dedication, service, and cultural focus as their Asia tours.
However, it is our editorial opinion that if you are looking for a South America tour that has the same kind of values so strongly showcased in Wendy Wu’s trips around Asia, you may want to explore other companies first.
Wendy Wu Travel Style
Wendy Wu’s travel style is active yet comfortable; geared toward older travelers and western travelers. It is important to note that comfort standards can be different in Asia, so keep an open mind. Wendy Wu tours fall into about 6 main categories:
Classic Group Tours - This is your standard group travel escorted experience, yes you will have a group leader with a flag. Groups are mid size, no larger than 29 people. You’ll visit classic sites, and have some unique cultural experiences as well. All parts of the tour are taken care of, from airport pick up and drop off, meals, accommodations, and activities.
Immerse Yourself - An immersive tour with Wendy Wu is a small group tour, with more focus on immersion, cultural activities, and interaction with locals. Groups are no more than 18 people, allowing for a much more intimate experience throughout Asia. You’ll also be allotted more free time to explore on your own during the tour.
The Exclusive Collection - These luxury tours take the Asia travel experience to the next level. Ideal for those who want an assurance of comfort and extremely personalized service. Groups are small, with the max being 18.
Private Tours - If you are the kind of traveler who wants a more customizable experience, perhaps traveling with just your significant other, family, or a small group of friends, Wendy Wu offers the chance to design a Private Tour.
Asia River Cruises - Asia has some stunning rivers that are very popular river cruise destinations. Traveling on a river cruise with Wendy Wu, you’ll enjoy the luxury of only unpacking once, and visiting small villages on cultural shore excursions along the way. You can find divers cruises in Asia with Wendy Wu on the more well known rivers: Yangtze, Mekong, and Irrawaddy, as well as some more unique ventures: Chindwin in Burma, the Red River in Vietnam, or the Brahmaputra in India.
Tailor Made - For a completely customized trip, Wendy Wu tours also offers the ability to speak with a travel advisor and create a fully tailor made experience.
Why Choose a Tour With Wendy Wu?
Their guides are natives to the country you’ll be exploring, giving you a unique glimpse into the life of a local. Itineraries are designed by experts who have traveled extensively throughout the regions - and quite often are from there originally.
They provide access to less touristy attractions and a local perspective like no other. If diversification and a lot of choice in how you see Asia is important to you, Wendy Wu will be a great tour company for you.

Explore Exciting New Tour Destinations with Wendy Wu
Posted by Nichapa Ratchanathammachai | Jan 31, 2024 | Travel Deals | 0 |
Leading group tour specialist Wendy Wu Tours has added three new international destinations to its travel roster, inviting Australian travellers to explore South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Colombia with the operator in 2024 and 2025. “Over the years, I have lost count of the number of times I have been asked if we organise tours outside of Asia,” shared company founder Wendy Wu, “And the answer is, we absolutely do.”
Here is an overview of the three new additions:
Kruger to Cape Explored
Wendy Wu Tours new Kruger to Cape Explored is a fantastic 15 day ’Go Beyond’ style itinerary designed to show the very best of this diverse destination, with jaw dropping scenery and fascinating cultures at every turn. The tour travels from Johannesburg, takes in the Panorama Route and features a three night stay in Greater Kruger National Park, before continuing to Gqeberha, Knysna, and finishing with a four night stay in Cape Town. Highlights include journeying into the wilderness to spot the big five in their natural habitat, wine tasting in some of the country’s best vineyards, venturing underground to experience the limestone labyrinth that is the Cango Caves, and getting up close with South Africa’s other favourite animals – the penguins of Boulders Beach. Wendy Wu also offers a range of authentic local activities to try including a Bo-Kaap cooking experience in Cape Town, and a thrilling ride in a glass fronted elevator descending into Graskop Gorge offering stunning views of forests and waterfalls at every turn. The tour is priced from $12,590 per person twin share .
Secrets of Saudi Arabia
The winds of change are blowing through Saudi Arabia, which only recently opened to non-pilgrims. To help explore this fascinating destination, Wendy Wu’s product team has created the Secrets of Saudi Arabia, an 11 day, fully inclusive group tour that travels from Riyadh to Buraidah, Ha’il, AlUla, Medina and finishing in Jeddah. Travellers can discover ancient fortresses, camel markets and UNESCO World Heritage Sites in its vast deserts, then experience the cosmopolitan comforts of its cities and high-speed bullet trains. For a true insight into Saudi Arabia, the tour includes a farewell dinner with a local Saudi businesswoman and her family, to learn and reflect on how this intriguing country is looking ahead to a new vision of the future. The tour is priced from $12,980 per person twin share .
Colombia Discovery
The Colombia Discovery is a 16 day tour that hops between cosmopolitan cities, colonial towns, coffee haciendas and the Caribbean coast. This tour highlights everything there is to love about the enchanting and jaw-droppingly beautiful country of Colombia, from Bogota to Pereira, Medellin, Santa Marta and the vibrant UNESCO listed town of Cartagena. Travellers can visit an estate in the ‘coffee triangle’ to learn about the country’s favourite export, walk the exotic beaches on the coastline of Tayrona National Park and even take a drive on the wild side in Willy jeeps to explore the lush landscapes of the Cocora Valley. Wildlife of India
It’s true, many of us wouldn’t think of a holiday in India as the time and place to look for wildlife. Travellers tend to head here for some of the other wonders of the sub-continent, like the rich and vibrant culture, landmarks like the Taj Mahal and the palaces of Rajasthan and the gorgeous and diverse landscapes. It’s through these landscapes, though, that some seriously wonderful wildlife wanders – or stalks, in the case of India’s most famous animal, the Bengal tiger. But there is so much more endemic life than just these magnificent creatures, and there are more than 100 national parks, 18 biosphere reserves and many, many wildlife sanctuaries in which you can search for them. At Wendy Wu Tours, we’ve put together a fabulous tour, Wildlife of India , that stars the birds and animals of northern India (which includes the Bengal tiger, of course), and some of the parks that they call home, alongside a few cultural treasures too. It’s the perfect combination if we do say so ourselves! Featuring safaris on foot, by boat or by vehicle in the wild places, all led by expert naturalist guides, this adventure of a lifetime features…
India’s capital and the perfect introduction to the vast array of culture and heritage of the country, Delhi is a full on and delightfully rough-around-the-edges city. The architecture is a mishmash of different rulers and eras, from Mughal to colonial, and there are a wealth of forts, temples, palaces, and bazaars to explore. While here you’ll see the magnificent Red Fort , wander the bustling alleyways of Khari Baoli Spice Market, the huge Jama Masjid before passing alone the stately Rajpath to India Gate.
Kanha National Park
The wilderness that was said to have inspired the setting for Rudyard Kipling’s classic The Jungle Book , Kanha is one of the oldest national parks in India and is a designated tiger reserve. Boasting vast, spectacular vistas of deep forest and lush meadows, here you’ll be on the lookout for Indian wild dogs, leopards, mouse deer, hyenas, chital and much more. There are also a number of Bengal tigers here, but they blend in so perfectly with the undergrowth, it can be quite hard to spot them. On our Wildlife of India tour you’ll spend three nights at Kanha, heading out into the wilds in safari vehicles and on foot.
Bandhavgarh National Park
This lush national park, also designated tiger reserve, located in Madhya Pradesh, is wonderfully biodiverse and has one of the highest density of tigers of anywhere in the world, meaning that your chances of spotting at least one are excellent! The park’s green landscapes of grasslands, tropical forests and narrow valleys are watched over by the hilltop Bandhavgarh Fort and, as well as tigers, provide shelter to wildlife that includes sloth bear, leopards, rhesus monkeys, a variety of deer species and over 230 species of bird. Spend two nights at Bandhavgarh, heading out of a series of safaris in 4×4 vehicles.
Panpatha Wildlife Sanctuary
A part of the greater Bandhavgarh area, Panpatha is a 245-kilometre² sanctuary set in a wonderfully rural area. Home to a range of flora and fauna and is a popular place to spot tigers. Other animals that call Panpatha home include chital, jackals, porcupine, blue bull, chansingha, and sambhar. While visiting Panpatha on Wildlife of India , you’ll embark on a morning walking safari.
Panna Wildlife Reserve
There are around 80 tigers within the boundaries of Panna, living in the park’s tropical and subtropical dry forests and along the Ken River, which passes through its landscapes. Alongside them lives leopard, chital, nilgai, sloth bear, chinkara, Asian palm civet, rusty-spotted cats and more than 200 species of bird. The tiger reserve is also within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve . You’ll spend one night at Panna, and head out on a morning boat safari alone the Ken River and a game drive in the afternoon, to venture deeper into the wilderness.
Khajuraho Temples
Until their rediscovery by the British in the 19th century the temples of Khajuraho were left to fall into disrepair and swallowed by jungle. Intricately and erotically carved, showing off the very best of Indian craftsmanship, the temples were built between the 10th and 12th centuries. Although only 10 of what was once many remain, they display some of the finest temple art in the world, epic stories of gods and goddesses as well as day to day life centuries ago. Now immaculately restored to their former glory these three groups of temples, some of which are Hindu and some Jain, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site .
Beautifully set in a forest on the banks of the Betwa River, and surrounded by lovely countryside, Orchha is a wonderful surprise. Its sleepy, laidback air and villagey-vibe belie Orchha’s altogether bigger history as an important urban centre of the Mughal Empire – you can’t miss the magnificent sights this past life left behind though. With streets lined with majestic Rajput palaces and their dreamy gardens, temples and chhatris (cenotaphs), all a warm ochre in colour and spires, gold domes and pink tiles dotting the skyline, it is one gorgeous place to explore. Don’t miss the temple dedicated to Rama, which remains a pilgrimage and spiritual centre.
Agra & the Taj Mahal
The city of Agra , was once the capital of the Mughal empire. The Mughals left behind a magnificent legacy in the form of a fort, tombs and mausoleums, the most famous of which, of course, is the Taj Mahal. It’s not often that you find that the hype surrounding a major sight is true, but the Taj Mahal is as beautiful as the stories say. This is India’s most iconic building; a monument to love built by Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his third wife Mumtaz Mahal. Set in lovely gardens by the river, no matter what time of day you visit, the white marble reflects the moods of the sky – the whole experience is utterly enchanting.
