Homeric Tours

Homeric Tours

Fifty years ago, Homeric Tours was born; a two-person family-run operation in a tiny second-floor walk-up on the west side of Manhattan. A lot has changed over the last 50 years but so much of what makes this company great has stayed the same. We are still a family business, and I now work alongside my two daughters who share my passion and love for travel. We have moved on from the second-floor walk-up and expanded to offices throughout the East Coast, as well as our incoming operation in Athens.

One thing that has not changed throughout the last 50 years is the experience and precision that has made Homeric Tours the company that it is today. Through the ever-changing travel industry, Homeric Tours has remained true to our founding principles of providing unmatched value and service.

We once offered Greece as our only destination, solidifying us as experts in the market. Over the past decades, we have grown, as have our vacation and destination offerings, to include other Mediterranean and European countries. We truly cater to all types of travelers by offering independent vacations, partially escorted and escorted tours. We can plan any experience, from honeymoons to group travel, island-hopping packages to classical motorcoach tours, and everything in between.

Homeric Tours not only provides you with a trusted and reliable source for purchasing your travel, the level of service you will receive from us only begins during the purchasing phase. Both before and throughout your trip, you will have the security of knowing you have a partner nearby to ensure your satisfaction.

Whether it is something as simple as notifying you of a schedule change on an international flight, re-routing an island-hop due to weather or recommending an optional excursion when greeted at your hotel upon arrival, our travel specialists and international infrastructure are in place to ensure a seamless experience for you and your travel companions. We pride ourselves on our customer service and attention to detail.

Regardless of your travel needs, you will find the utmost in experience, service and value when working with Homeric Tours. We invite you to explore our website, submit a trip request, or call one of our destination specialists to discuss your next trip. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Frequently Asked Questions From Our Travelers

Is moscow or st petersburg more beautiful.

Moscow and St Petersburg are two completely different cities and difficult to compare. Both are beautiful in their own way. Moscow’s sprawling cityscape reflects centuries of history in a mixture of architectural styles - gilded cupolas of medieval Russian churches merge with Stalinist monoliths and towering glass skyscrapers, and cobble-stone alleys balance grand boulevards. St Petersburg’s centre was laid out over a matter of decades, its regular and harmonious city plan lined with Neoclassicist, Art Nouveau and Baroque masterpieces, intersected with meandering canals. If you can’t choose between the two, check out our best combined Moscow and St Petersburg tours.

What is the best time to visit Moscow and St Petersburg?

A trip to St Petersburg or Moscow at any time of year will be enjoyable. Museums and galleries are much less busy during winter, accommodation is significantly cheaper, and you can enjoy outside activities such as skiing or sleigh rides. Exploring the cities is more enjoyable in the warmer months, and St Petersburg especially beckons during the White Nights. Whenever you decide to travel, check out which national holidays are on – Pancake Week, Victory Day, and City Day are just some of the festivities you can experience. It was a great experience - Treasures of Two Capitals (5 star), June 2017

It was a great experience. The guides were knowledgeable and spot on time. Especially the guide in St. Petersburg seemed to get us to places with great timing. We beat the majority of crowds. Maybe that’s partly a result of being a small group, being that we didn’t have to wait for stragglers. The weather cooperated and we didn’t get caught in any rain storms.

Everybody in our group got along perfectly. We were all experienced travelers and shared information on places we’d been to. The ladies are now sharing pictures of our trip to Russia via email.

HOMERIC TOURS

Fifty years of offering authentic tours of greece..
