Aaron Lewis was born on April 13, 1972 in Rutland City, Vermont. He is known for being the founding member and lead vocalist of the band Staind , with whom he released 7 albums. Staind was nominated for several different Boston Music Awards, but were most successful in 2002 when they won the Boston Music Award ‘Act of the Year’.

Lewis left Staind in 2010, to pursue a solo-career in country music. He released his first EP ‘ Town Line ’ in 2011, which led to him being nominated for two CMT Music Awards for ‘USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year’, and ‘Collaborative Video of the Year’.

Lewis has gone on to produce more solo music; his first full-length solo album The Road was released in 2012, and he has since recorded another album, Sinner (2016), which was recorded whilst he was on tour showcasing his first album.

STAIND's AARON LEWIS Announces Fall 2021 U.S. Tour With Full Band

STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis has announced a fall 2021 tour, beginning October 2 and running through mid-December.

Unlike his other solo acoustic tours, Aaron will be performing with a full band.

Earlier this month, Aaron dropped a new single, "Am I The Only One" , from his forthcoming album, to be released later this year. The single debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 's Hot Country Songs chart, No. 2 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales and No. 14 on the Hot Oct. 0. The track also drew four million U.S. streams in the tracking week.

Throughout his more than two-decade career, whether topping the charts as front man of hard rock band STAIND , or as No. 1 artist on the country charts as a solo artist, Lewis has always been painfully honest in his music.

"That's all I've ever done," says Aaron . "My songs have always been me wearing my heart, emotions, misfortunes and sins on my sleeve. I don't feel like it would be genuine or worthy if it wasn't."

Lewis first dipped his toes into country music with his 2011 EP, "Town Line" . His second full-length album, "Sinner" , arrived in the fall of 2016 and was followed by a stand-alone single, "Folded Flag" .

Lewis released his third full-length country album, "State I'm In" , in April 2019 via Big Machine imprint Valory Music .

Aaron Lewis Announces Early 2023 Acoustic Tour

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis will be hitting the road solo in early 2023. Lewis, when he has been reuniting with Staind in recent years, has continued to build his solo career in country, and these days will allow him to show the more melodic, songwriter side as he's planning on playing an acoustic tour.

The "American Patriot Acoustic Tour" kicks off Jan. 20 in Las Vegas as the Orleans Casino, and Lewis has most of his weekends spoken for in the first half of 2023, with dates booked all the way into July. See all of the cities, dates and venues listed below.

The tour comes in support of Lewis' most recent album, Frayed at Both Ends , which arrived back in early 2022 featuring the song "Am I the Only One."

2023 could be a big year for Lewis, as Staind reportedly have been working on their first album in over a decade. Guitarist Mike Mushok revealed that their long-awaited reunion record is expected to arrive next year.

Aaron Lewis grew up in Springfield, Vermont, listening to his grandparents’ country 8-tracks. Those roots inspired the multi-platinum Staind founder to return to his origins for the #1 Billboard Country Album debut Town Line and Sinner, as well as Billboard ’s #1 Hot Country Song debut “Am I The Only One,” only the 9 th time since 1958.

Having recorded with George Jones, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Alison Krauss and Vince Gill, Lewis has put a traditionalist brand on his outlier country. Aaron Lewis, the Vermont-born powerhouse first found success with Staind - the 2000s-era hard rockers who injected meditative muscle into an era better known for mindless aggression. But while that band is still very much alive, it was never enough to satisfy Lewis' creative drive. Embracing his roots to earn a rare second round of success, a series of solo Country projects have led to two No. 1 Billboard Country Album debuts - TOWN LINE (2011) and SINNER (2016) - plus a PLATINUM collab with heroes George Jones and Charlie Daniels ("Country Boy"), and a GOLD-certified Billboard No. 1 with "Am I The Only One" in 2021. Lewis' 2022 solo album followed suit, with FRAYED AT BOTH ENDS emerging as the best-selling Country album in America, but he never wrote songs for the stats. No matter the sonic setting, Lewis writes and sings to get his truth out and his upcoming album THE HILL is no different.

I could hang out with this man.

The venue was incredible for a small town in Kentucky. I loved that it was a smaller venue, it made for an intimate feel. Aaron was especially funny and cut up often with the crowd. His comment about eventually running into Springsteen and possibly having to fight sent us all into fits of laughter. He is a patriot through and through, and it shows. As country as he is, it's hard to fathom he's from Massachusetts. I bought these tickets mostly because I didn't know if he was touring with Staind anymore, only to find a few weeks later that Staind had another album and tour on the way...so needless to say I am seeing Staind and Seether April 23, 2024 in Franklin, Tennessee at one of my favorite venues, FirstBank Amphitheater. See me in about a week for that review. I'm STOKED to see him twice in about a month. Happy birthday to me indeed.

Great concert but was not happy

I took my 80-year-old father to his first Aaron Lewis concert I ended up paying for front row seats so he could have the legroom in front of him and be able to see the concert with no problem but unfortunately his seat was directly in front of the camera they had for Aaron so his vision was impaired the whole concert, which really sucked after spending the money for front row seats Aaron, of course put on a concert, but was not happy with the way things went down

Show was real good

The show was real good, just wish the ushers and security would do something about the loud, drunk and obnoxious people. I went to hear Aaron not the drunks.

It was awesome he is always a great show no matter what he's singing.

I am only able to give 2 stars due to the performer and audience chanting inappropriate language and bringing politics into a concert venue. It’s too bad because he’s a great performer and I enjoyed his music. But I would not see him again.
