‘The Grand Tour: Eurocrash’ – watch the new trailer for the special
‘The Grand Tour: Eurocrash’ is released on Prime Video next week and a new trailer for the special has been released.
You can watch the trailer at the top of this article and take a look at the new key art below:
Jeremy, Richard and James have a problem. Every country they want to visit is either a trouble hotspot or has banned them from entering. So instead, they head to Central Europe, on a road trip nobody has ever thought of, in cars nobody would ever dream of using.
This epic 1400-mile journey, in an outrageous Japanese Al Capone gangster car, a pickup that thinks it’s a convertible, and G 75-year-old American micro mini, takes them from Gdańsk in Poland through Slovakia, Hungary, on to their final destination of the stunning Lake Bled in Slovenia. In Poland they cause havoc at a spectacular motor race featuring Soviet made Formula 1 cars, before heading to the actual prison camp where the Great Escape took place.
In Kraków they recruit, a famous Formula 1 world champion to the team, before heading to Slovakia to sample a stunning Eastern European hypercar, a hidden racing Škoda classic, and the world’s most advanced flying car.
With James as broken as the car he’s driving, the trio plus their new recruit head into Hungary, where for their troubles, they end up in a time loop and have to run the gauntlet of the world’s deadliest archers.
The team then make a dash for the finish line, which involves yet more peril in a spectacular Fast and Furious finale at a military airbase.
Why does James’s car keep moving itself as if by magic? Why does Richard’s car keep telling him he’s terrible in bed? Why does Jeremy’s car keep spouting chandeliers? Watch and learn, on the Grand Tour Road Trip that nobody has ever thought of doing….
‘The Grand Tour: Eurocrash’ launches on Prime Video on Friday 16 th June 2023.

The Grand Tour trio face terrifying archers and Mission Impossible-esque plane stunt in action-packed Eurocrash trailer

The Grand Tour is coming back with a bang for its latest Eurocrash adventure, teasing high-octane stunts that look like they could come close to rivalling Mission Impossible .
Fans of the trio – Jeremy Clarkson , Richard Hammond and James May – have been waiting with bated breath for the new programme to drop, with its release date nearing later this month.
The first official trailer for the new road trip in Eastern Europe has now dropped, as the presenters embark on a 1,400-mile journey through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia.
The teaser opens with dramatic suspense, showing a shot of a plane as James, 60, faces the daunting prospect of attempting to drive his car onto the moving aircraft.
The Final Countdown begins to play in the background, amping up the intensity of the scenes as Jeremy, 63, informs viewers that they’re going ‘behind what used to be the Iron Curtain’ on their travels.
Jeremy and Richard, 53, settle into tiny racing cars… before the former admits that he ‘genuinely can’t get out’ of the miniscule vehicle.
‘What do you want me to do? Be less fat?’ he asks his co-star.
The programme sees James show off a miniscule vintage Crossley car – looking extremely precarious and wobbly on the road – which he admits that he overpaid for when he was inebriated.
‘£11,000 for that?’ Jeremy asks incredulously, as Jams confesses: ‘I bought it when I was drunk.’
Jeremy is seen stepping into the shoes of an iconic Disney villain, driving a car that he feels has a ‘Cruella vibe’, while he and his co-stars pay a visit to ‘the Soviet Union’s answer to Formula One’.
In a departure from the road, the stars of The Grand Tour take a trip to a wax museum in Krakow… and end up leaving with a kidnapped mannequin.
Prepare for fast-paced test drives, whirling around in hugely powerful race cars, as well as the TV personalities being attacked by arrow-wielding horse riders. As you do.
The very end of the trailer teases a bonkers prank played on James, when Jeremy and a host of muscly men picked up his co-star’s tiny car and carried it all the way inside a restaurant.
As they all grunt over the weight of the vehicle, Jeremy remarks: ‘This could sound like a porn movie.’
One fan wrote in response to the teaser: ‘The myths, the legends, the 3 idiots in cars, I’m so glad The Grand Tour is continuing gotta love watching them do what they do best.’
The Grand Tour: Eurocrash launches on Friday June 16 on Prime Video.

The Grand Tour Goes Behind Iron Curtain In New Eurocrash Special
With the three oddest cars yet.
Amazon Prime released a full-length trailer for The Grand Tour 's next special, Eurocrash . The latest special will take Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May behind the Iron Curtain into four European countries formerly occupied by the Soviets.
The theme isn't clear yet, and there doesn't appear to be any connection between the cars. May is in a Crosley he bought while drunk, and Hammond is in the Chevrolet SSR, a car Chevy wants you to forget about . Both cars are American, with Clarkson's Mitsuoka Le-Seyde being the odd one out. Mitsuoka Motor is a small coachbuilding outfit in Japan, best known for the Orochi, which almost nobody has heard of . We quite like the brand's Rock Star, a Mazda Miata styled to look like a second-generation Corvette.
With no connection between the cars, the theme appears to be the weirdest car you could find for whatever amount of dollars.
Given James May's widely publicized crash in the previous Grand Tour special, you'd think the three unwise men would tame it down a bit, but no. The trailer starts with James May attempting to drive his Crosley into a moving cargo plane. It seems The Grand Tour won't stop until one of its presenters kicks the bucket. Our money is on Hammond, who, to be fair, has an unfortunate history of crashing .
Hammond also appears to have entered the Soviet alternative to Formula 1. Obviously, Mother Russia couldn't and wouldn't compete in F1 during the Cold War, but that didn't stop the people behind the curtain from racing. Since the Cold War, effectively nothing has changed. Russia and Russian drivers are still banned from F1 .
Naturally, the trio will do their best to offend whoever is willing to take offense. They visit the statue of Christ the King in Poland and a wax museum in Krakow with the worst depiction of Nigel Mansell's mustache we've ever seen.
The cars are also modified along the way and shot at by what appears to be a Mongol Horde. While on the outing, the team will also drive several interesting cars from the region, including a flying car. You know, standard Grand Tour stuff intertwined with the usual exciting facts and figures you never knew about the hosting countries.
Rumors about The Grand Tour 's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Amazon reportedly cut ties with Clarkson after he wrote a seemingly offensive column targeting Meghan Markle, but the crew was out filming another special in Africa just two months ago. We're glad they're still at it.

Eurocrash: The Grand Tour releases trailer for new Eastern Europe special
Eastern europe sets the scene for the trio’s latest escapade.
The Grand Tour is set to return to television screens this month and the first trailer has now been released showing Clarkson, Hammond and May setting off on a 1,400-mile journey through Eastern Europe.
Starting in the Polish city of Gdansk, the presenters make their way through Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia – with a typical array of challenges along the way.
“We’ve done another Grand Tour”, Clarkson announced on Twitter earlier today, alongside a link to the episode’s official trailer.
We’ve done another Grand Tour. Eurocrash | Official Trailer | Prime Video https://t.co/Tr6TtynZbz via @YouTube — Jeremy Clarkson (@JeremyClarkson) June 6, 2023
The trailer begins with James May attempting to board a moving plane in a 1947 Crosley Convertible, immediately setting the tone for the trio’s latest encounter – their sixth stand-alone special since jumping ship to Amazon.
The camera then cuts to a high-budget aerial shot, showcasing the locale of the special, before Jeremy Clarkson cuts in: “We’re going behind what used to be the Iron Curtain,” he says, as the camera shows plenty of Soviet-era iconography and aircraft.
The trailer also presents us with the cars the trio will be driving over the course of the special. Accompanying May and the Crosley, a small American family car built in Marion, Indiana from 1946 to 1948, is Richard Hammond in a 2005 Chevrolet SSR. With V8 power and rear-wheel drive, it’s shown to be quite tail-happy over the course of the trailer, and slides and squeals around corners in the hands of Hammond.
The third pick is a Mitsuoka Le Seyde, driven by Jeremy Clarkson, and arguably the most obscure car of the special. Based on the S13 Nissan Silvia, Clarkson describes the oddly-proportioned Mitsuoka as giving “a good Cruella vibe.”
The rest of the trailer promises much of the usual Grand Tour fare – including the presenters trying their hands at “the Soviet Union’s answer to Formula One”.
Hammond’s open-wheel exploits are on full display in this challenge – he rockets away at the start, before a plume of white smoke explodes from his engine, sending the smallest presenter into a wild spin. Business as usual, then.
The trio also end up in the wax museum of Krakow, Poland, where they come across a particularly unconvincing model of Formula One’s 1992 champion, Nigel Mansell.
Amid a cacophony of laughter and heavy West Midlands accents, Hammond ends up leaving the museum with the waxwork, hauling it through the narrow and twisty Krakow streets.
We’re then treated to a view of both up-to-date supercars and classic racing cars being driven to their limits, captured from every angle by fast-moving camera shots.
Armoured horse riders then make an appearance – shooting hordes of arrows at the presenters’ cars, which are looking heavily battle-scarred at this point in the trailer. “Make it end!” yells Clarkson.
“Europe gets a culture crash”, the trailer promises, with a few other tantalising clips including a flying car of some description and another potential crash on a steep grass hill.
The first stand-alone Grand Tour Special – the aptly-named ‘Seamen’ – arrived in December 2019. A break from the typical Grand Tour format, this special featured the presenters buying three used boats and making their way through the rivers of Cambodia and Vietnam – it was positively received.
Since then, the trio have released four more specials, with the latest, “A Scandi Flick”, revolving around rally-inspired saloons, with each presenter driving their chosen car across a Nordic environment.
The Grand Tour: Eurocrash will be available on Amazon Prime Video from June 16.

The Grand Tour: Eurocrash – Richard Hammond Crashes In Upcoming Episode
In the forthcoming special episode of ‘ The Grand Tour: Eurocrash ‘, Richard Hammond encounters a heart-stopping incident. Filming within the cockpit of a high-speed F1 car, this segment promises a hefty dose of thrill and suspense.
The hosts of the show – Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson , and James May – charted a journey across Europe, spanning 2,000 kilometres. Their expedition, starting in Poland and concluding in Slovenia, takes an exhilarating turn at the Tor Poznań race track in Poznań, Poland.
An amusing exchange ensues between Hammond and Clarkson, wherein Clarkson, struggling to fit into an F1 car, queries Hammond about how to navigate this issue. The answer, delightfully candid and cheeky, suggests Clarkson should “be less fat!”.
For those familiar with the show, Hammond’s reputation precedes him – he has experienced terrifying crashes before on Top Gear and The Grand Tour . The 2006 incident, which put him in a coma, and the severe Rimac crash in 2017 are still fresh in the memories of many viewers. So, to see Hammond settling into the seat of an F1 car in the trailer surely raised quite a few eyebrows.
In the teaser trailer, we witness Hammond take on the race track in the formidable F1 car, before an apparent mishap occurs. While the actual crash is left unseen in the trailer, viewers are left on the edge of their seats, bracing for the inevitable impact.
Adding to the surge of excitement is the official announcement of the air date for this electrifying episode – and it’s closer than fans may have anticipated. Be sure to mark your calendars for 16th June 2023, to witness the high-octane shenanigans of ‘The Grand Tour: Eurocrash’.

Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are back in The Grand Tour: Eurocrash , a new feature-length special which lands on Friday, June 16.
Streaming: Prime Video Debut: Friday, June 16 Runtime: 2 hours
This outing sees the trio take a road trip around central Europe. It was filmed around Poland and Slovenia and features lots of "weird" cars like the Chevrolet SSR, Crosley Convertible and Klein Vision AirCar which flies.
Eurocrash is the 44th episode of The Grand Tour and its sixth special; since 2019 the Amazon motoring show has eschewed traditional annual seasons with a rota of feature-lengthed specials. Before this one there was Seamen in 2019, A Massive Hunt in 2020, Lochdown and Carnage A Trois in 2021 and A Scandi Flick in 2022.
If you're keen to watch the motoring special, here's how to watch The Grand Tour: Eurocrash.
How to stream The Grand Tour: Eurocrash
You'll be able to watch The Grand Tour: Eurocrash on Prime Video , as Amazon's streaming service created TGT .
Prime Video is technically a perk of Amazon Prime membership, so you'll need to be signed up to the subscription plan to watch. This costs $14.99 / £8.99 per month or $139 / £95 per year, though there's a free trial for people who haven't tried Prime before.
The Grand Tour: Eurocrash lands on the service on Friday, June 16.
How to watch the rest of The Grand Tour
While you don't need to watch the rest of The Grand Tour to understand Eurocrash , fans of motoring shows or Clarkson, Hammond and May's humor may want to do so to prepare for the new show.
There are 43 previous episodes of The Grand Tour prior to Eurocrash , which include five prior specials like this one, and you can watch them all on Prime Video, just like the new series.
The Grand Tour is, after all, an Amazon Original, and future episodes of the show will also more than likely land on the Prime Video platform.
But while The Grand Tour is a spiritual successor to Top Gear , that show's back catalog isn't on Prime Video. Instead, you'll need to use Pluto TV to stream it in the US (though 13 seasons are on Freevee , 5 are on Netflix and 3 are on Max ), and Sky TV or iPlayer to watch in the UK.

What You Didn’t Know About The Cars From The Grand Tour: Eurocrash Special
The cars from The Grand Tour: Eurocrash are some of the strangest Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond have ever driven.
The Grand TourThe Grand Tour : Eurocrash is the latest special to come from Jeremy Clarkson , Richard Hammond , and James May. And it is perhaps one of the best they have ever starred in, featuring a fantastic drive from Poland to Slovenia, in some of the most unusual cars they’ve ever driven. A Chevrolet SSR, a Mitsuoka Le-Seyde, and a Crossley CC Convertible. The brief was to get the three most inappropriate long-distance cars, and they certainly did that.
Despite the problems that May suffered with his Crosley being too slow, and his driving experience in the “Titties and Beer” hotrod, all three cars made it to the end of the trip. Showcasing just how good a drive through Central Europe can be.
RELATED: A Detailed Look At The Mitsuoka Orochi, One Of The Ugliest Cars Ever Made
Clarkson’s Mitsuoka Was The Ugliest Car On The Eurocrash Special
Mitsuoka le-seyde engine specs.
The Mitsuoka Le-Seyde that Clarkson chose for the special was perhaps the ugliest of the three cars the presenters had. The fact it even exists is a remarkable fact, but exist it does and amazingly 500 units were sold. As Hammond remarks in the special, it “is too many.” But Mitsuoka, a company renowned for ugly cars , claimed that they were all sold four days after they went on sale. The car uses a Nissan Silvia S13 from the 1990s as its basis. Then transforms it with an all-new body design that harks back to cars from the early 20th century.
Specifically, the Le-Seyde looks like the Zimmer Golden Spirit, which wasn’t built in the 1930s but in the 1980s along with other Zimmer models . Clarkson on the special however mentions that the Le-Seyde was meant to look like the Mercedes SSK. There are one or two minor similarities, but for the most part the two cars look nothing alike. While the hilarious exterior might look like something from the 1930s, the interior is anything but that. Mitsuoka did pretty much nothing to the original Nissan interior. The Le-Seyde looks the same inside as the Silvia S13 did, and in fact, the center portion of the car is still Nissan.
Under the hood the Le-Seyde still uses the same engine that the Silvia S13 did. This was a 1.8-liter CA18DE engine, used in the Nissan up until mid-1990. Remarkably, two more versions of the Le-Seyde were actually built. There was the Dore, introduced in July 1991, a convertible version based on the 1979-1993 Ford Mustang Fox Body. It also used the Windsor 4.9-liter 302 ci V8 engine that the Mustang did. A redesigned Le-Seyde, simply called New Le-Seyde was introduced in late 2000, and this time it was based on the Nissan Silvia S15. Not that you’d notice any differences between the old and new Le-Seyde as they were nearly identical .
RELATED: This 2005 Chevrolet SSR Hasn't Seen The Light Of Day After Just 950 Miles
Hammond Brought The Heavy Chevrolet SSR To The Party
Hammond’s vehicle for the special made a little more sense than Clarkson’s, but still fit the ethos of the special nicely. His vehicle was a Chevrolet SSR, the retro-styled two-door convertible pickup truck. A great idea that Chevrolet would perhaps rather forget than remember. The styling was certainly quirky, and a 5.3-liter 300 hp Vortec V8 under the hood promised plenty of power for what was quite a small truck. Chevrolet upgraded the engine to a 390 hp LS2 V8 in 2005.
However, the good vibes were not there to stay. The proportions of the finished SSR were somewhat awkward , and it wasn’t a thin pickup truck by any means. The V8 was powerful, but a 0-60 mph time of 7.7 seconds was never going to set the world on fire. While it wasn’t a great sports car, it was also a terrible pickup truck as the ‘bed’ was effectively only there to store the folded-down roof from the truck. The reality was it wasn’t anywhere near as practical as a regular pickup truck.
Perhaps the biggest problem however for the lumbering SSR was the weight of the truck. The SSR, with all the bodywork and big V8 motor under the hood, came in at 4,700 lbs. Or just over 2 tonnes. The weight of the vehicle was a topic of conversation between Clarkson and Hammond on Eurocrash, as they awaited the rival of May and his Crosley. Chevrolet then priced the SSR at a spectacular $42,000 which rose up another $1,000 in 2005. As such, very few people ever drove the SSR as Hammond joked in the special, and with extra options the price could be pushed up to $50,000.

May’s Crosley Was The Worst Car On The Eurocrash Special
May however surely wins the award for the worst car on the special. He chose a 1947 Crosley CC Convertible, a model that was actually one of the first mass-produced slab-sided cars in history. Under the hood of his CC was a 700cc engine, limiting May’s top speed on highways to around 40 mph. Crosley was the brainchild of Powel Crosley Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio. He believed that cars had become too big and cumbersome , even as early as the 1940s, which was incredibly forward-thinking.
He set up Crosley in 1939, and it lasted until 1952. Developing a variety of microcars aimed at creating affordable, mass-market cars that could navigate roads easier than their larger counterparts. There was a huge array of vehicles offered, ranging from sedans, to pickups, convertibles, and even a sports car. But the most popular version of the Crosley’s were the station wagons, produced by the company from 1947 to their demise in 1952. In the special, May’s gave him all sorts of problems. Apart from being too slow even for Captain Slow , the Crosley kept cutting out on him as well as overheating.
May had a rather unfortunate mishap at the start of the special , driving into a barrier as they left the port in Poland they started from. A little later in the special, May decided to drive the backup car on the special just to keep up with the other two presenters, but he hated that even more than his Crosley. Having sent the backup hotrod down a ski slope, May was almost relieved to be able to finish the trip in the Crosley. It is safe to say that the presenters certainly chose three interesting cars for the adventure.
RELATED: Hemmings Find: 1951 Crosley Kiddie Fire Truck Amusement Park Ride
The Backup Car Was Worse Than May’s Crosley
With its terrible slogan on the side, the backup car for the trip was a makeshift hotrod. A Jaguar engine was under the hood, as well as a tiny steering wheel and a horrible accelerator pedal. It was even worse to drive than the Crosley, so chucking it down the ski slope was perhaps the best thing for it . It took Nigel Mansell’s slightly melted wax figure with it, in one of the funniest scenes of the entire special. Eurocrash has to be one of the best specials the trio has ever appeared in, and we can’t wait for their next adventure.
