Biharinath Hill View Resort

An eco-tourism destination in the foothills of biharinath in bankura.

One of the western districts of West Bengal, Bankura is gaining gradual popularity in the tourism circuit of the city nowadays. It is part of the eastern fringe of Chotonagpur Plateau. The district is abounding with natural beauty along with centers of art, craft and culture. From Terracotta temples to hills covered with dense forest, Bankura has it all. The region which was known as the ‘Rarh’ area in the old days, is one of the classic destinations in Bengal. Biharinath hills are a part of the Eastern Ghat range, and also the highest point of the district with an altitude of 451 meters. Come here through the dense forest by roads that are in great condition, for a perfect weekend in nature. You can also go to the ancient temple here, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

In the green backdrop of the hills, Nomadic Eco-Resort Biharinath stands tall and proud with the contrasting glory. The place offers you the premium luxury and comfort in the wilderness. At the lap of nature, this property is equipped with all the modern amenities and comfort. The well-furnished and spacious rooms are perfectly suited for a family stay or a corporate outing. Besides, the view of the hills and lake from here will enchant you. Relax in the lawn, enjoy the delectable dishes in the exquisite dining area, watch the sunrise or go out exploring nature- a stay in here a worth every penny you spend.

Accommodation:

20 Double bed deluxe room, 10 Triple bed deluxe room. Maximum accommodation 90 heads

Check-in: 12:00 P.M.

Check-out: 11:00 A.M.

Outdoor Activity :

Hikes and trek: It is a dream destination for the trekkers and nature explorers. As the elevation is less, amateur trekkers can also partake in the activity. As the place is at the foothills and surrounded by jungle, you can also go for a nature walk in the morning. If you are lucky, you can hear flocks of birds greeting you with chirping. Migratory birds visit the lake on their breeding season too.

Fishing: If your goal is to relax for the whole day, you can also try fishing in the lake. For a better experience, you can carry your fishing gear. Do take a guide or someone from the resort to show you the best and safe spots.

Day Trip: Bankura offers you a number of major sightseeing spots. Go out for a day and see the beauty of the terracotta temples of Bishnupur. It is an artistic marvel and a symbol of Bengal’s architecture. There are a number of temples around, so you can do a temple circuit tour too. If you can manage time, do go and buy samples of the traditional art, Dokra.

Nearby Attractions, Eco-Resort Biharinath :

Susunia Hills and falls: A nearby hillock, Susunia is also a part of the eastern ghat. There is a holy spring and falls at the foothill here, the water is rich with minerals. The surrounding jungle is a major hotspot for medicinal plants. Gandheswari River flows through here. The bare rock-faces are a great learning spot for first-time rock-climbers.

Garh Panchkot:

Another major destination in here, the place is named after the ruined Garh or fort at the center. It is a historical monument, as it was attacked and destroyed by the Bargi or Maratha looters. There is a group of temples surrounding the fort. You can see the influence of both Vaishnavism and Shaktism in those structures.

This town is famous for the Terracotta temples, a majestic and classic Bengal architectural style. These were built with the local laterite stones during the time of the Malla rulers. The temples are dedicated to Lord Krishna. The Rashmancha is the most famous one, it was built with bricks and dedicated to Radha and Krisha. The jor-bangla temple is another great piece, with an ekchala or single roof style. Do visit the Madanmohan temple, where the roof is square and flat. These ornate temples were built during the 17th and 18th centuries.

How to Reach:

Rail: The nearest rail station is Asansol Jn. From there it is 20 km away which takes 50 minutes to reach by car.

Air: The nearest functioning airport is Dumdum Airport, 225 km away and takes a car 4 hours 20 minutes to reach the place.

Road: From Kolkata, the property is approximately 220 km away and it takes around 4 hours to reach by NH19.

Best Time to Visit at Biharinath Hill :

Summer and winter are extremely harsh in here. The temperature often becomes hard to bear. You can come here to monsoon to see the fresh growing green all around. The best times, however, are autumn and spring. The forest on the hills blooms with the Kash Phool in autumn, or in spring- Shimul and Palash. The weather is mild and it feels nice to check out the sightseeing spots.

Pradip Sarkar 18 months ago Awesome place with nice food. The location is too remote and enjoyable. Majn attarction is climbing Biharinath hills, which very near by the resort. Remember to pack food before you go for climbing. Do not be late on climbing. During winter it's very cold and nice enjoyable weather.

MR. Ayan 14 months ago The view from this tourism is extraordinary. In front of this there is biharinath temple and beside this you can see the biharinath hill. They have a nursery and a flower garden . There is a pool that makes the place more attractive . You can spend a lot of time easily. Although this is one of the best place in bengal.

Abhishek Lakkar 13 months ago The rooms and service was great. Food was average and there is nothing much to do. Basically you can visit for a night and unwind do not expect anything.
