Which ‘Captain America’ Girl F**ked Steve Rogers: Natalie Dormer, Laura Haddock, or a USO Dancer?

'Love Lies Bleeding' Is Secretly the Best Hulk Movie So Far

'abbott elementary's showrunners knew josh segarra was the perfect manny: "we wanted someone who felt very warm, but also a little suspect", how to watch the marvel movies in order, marvel shocker: studio realizes they need to make tv shows for television.

Disney+ ‘s latest MCU series She-Hulk: Attorney At Law finally reveals a major secret about none other than the O.G. Captain America himself, Steve Rogers ( Chris Evans ). In She-Hulk ‘s series premiere, Jennifer Walters ( Tatiana Maslany ) is determined to get her cousin Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) to reveal if Steve Rogers died a virgin. It’s a question that has dogged the fandom for years: did the wholesome and shy Steve Rogers get laid before he was trapped in ice for almost a century? Was “America’s Ass” ever tapped? And it’s not just fans who want to know; Natasha Romanov (Scarlett Johansson) also tried to pry some information about Steve’s sexual history in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

While Bruce Banner does his best to keep his buddy’s romantic history on lockdown, in the mid-credits scene for She-Hulk “Episode 1 “A Normal Amount of Rage,” Jennifer sneaks the truth out of him. She pretends to be drunk and distraught over the fact that a hero like Captain America could have died a virgin. Hulk can’t take it anymore and says, “Steve Rogers is not a virgin. He lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour.”

Not only is this huge, but it’s MCU canon. In a recent Variety interview , She-Hulk showrunner Jessica Gao said, “not only was Kevin [Feige] on board with answering the question…he supplied me with the canon answer.” Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has officially confirmed that Steve Rogers has f*cked! Even Chris Evans reacted to the news that Steve banged a broad in 1943, by tweeting three laughing emojis followed by one with the mouth zipped up.

😂😂😂🤐 #SheHulk — Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) August 18, 2022

However the revelation in She-Hulk that Steve Rogers lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour begs another question: whom did Captain America lose his virginity to? Can we find the woman who served her country in this extraordinary way in the 1940s set MCU film Captain America: The First Avenger ? And is the woman in question none other than Natalie Dormer’s flirtatious, horny lieutenant?

Whom did Captain America f*ck in 1943? Well, it seems there are three possibilities, and none of them are Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell)*.

* You know, because Peggy was in Europe fighting the war while Steve was shilling war bonds in America with the USO.

Did Natalie Dormer's Lt. Lorraine F*ck Captain America?

captain-america-natalie-dormer

When you think of girls Steve Rogers kissed in Captain America: The First Avenger who aren’t Peggy Carter, Natalie Dormer’s Lt. Lorraine is the person who immediately springs to mind. After Steve bravely saves Bucky (Sebastian Stan) and the rest of the soldiers captured by HYDRA, he is feted as a hero. No one goes harder in their thanks than Lt. Lorraine. She sees Steve and immediately corners him behind a shelf to make out with him. Hard. Peggy sees this, which causes a rift between the two soulmates.

Dormer’s splashy MCU cameo came during the limbo between her work as Anne Boleyn on The Tudors and playing Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones. She immediately popped, though, as her character seems to give Steve his first canonical kiss.

However now that we know that Steve got laid during the USO tour in 1943, we know that’s not true. He had been kissed. And more. Just offscreen.

Natalie Dormer does not play the woman who boned Captain America for the first time. We know this because she meets him in Europe after he leaves the USO. Hence, it is not her. It was someone he would have met earlier on that fateful USO tour…

Did Steve Rogers Hook Up With a USO Dancer?

captain-america-uso-girls

When you hear that Steve Rogers specifically lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour, the obvious conclusion is that he must have hooked up with one of the many dancers he was touring with. After all, night after night, he was performing, traveling, and hanging out backstage with a bevy of beauties. It’s worth noting that most of the eligible bachelors at this time would be overseas fighting, so these ladies might have been especially “hornt up” backstage and Steve would be the obvious object of their attentions.

However there are two issues with this. One, it’s not really fun or compelling to think of Cap’s first time with one of the literally nameless girls in the chorus. These women are wholly interchangeable and are never seen interacting with Steve offstage. Two, are we positive that Bruce confirmed the girl in question was a USO dancer?

Consider the sentence structure at hand. Bruce says Steve lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour not Steve lost his virginity to a girl on the USO tour in 1943. “On the USO tour” is used to describe the time period Steve’s wangfest happened, not the woman in question.

So, yes, it could have been one of the nameless beauties on the USO tour, but Captain America: The First Avenger gives us one fleeting glimpse of a romantic encounter Steve had canonically at this time… with “Autograph Seeker.”

Did Steve Rogers Lose His V-Card to Star-Lord's Mom?

captain-america-laura-haddock

In the middle of the Captain America USO montage, Steve meets a beautiful blonde asking for an autograph and she briefly takes his breath away. It’s a tiny beat within the larger story of Cap’s time as a star-spangled government fundraiser, but it’s clearly important for some reason! Now that we know he lost his virginity at this time, this moment feels bigger. Is this the moment of Steve’s sexual awakening?

I’m inclined to think if there’s one girl we can safely assume is the one Steve lost his V-card to, it’s the single woman he has any romantic spark with during the Captain America: The First Avenger USO montage. The sexily named “Autograph Seeker.”

Fun fact: the role of “Autograph Seeker” was played by Laura Haddock. She would be cast again in the MCU as Meredith Quinn, Star-Lord’s (Chris Pratt) mother. This isn’t the first time the MCU has double-cast actors in two separate roles. Alfre Woodward played different characters in Luke Cage and Captain America: Civil War and Gemma Chan appeared in both Captain Marvel and The Eternals. However, it is funny to think that Captain America hooked up with Star-Lord’s mom. The MCU is smaller than we think!

So, barring the revelation that it was some random USO dancer, let’s just say this pretty all-American girl got more than just a signature from Steve Rogers.

The Unofficial MCU Timeline, Part 5 – CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER

This whole exercise of trying to establish a firm timeline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe is more than a little bit silly because precisely when each of these stories takes place doesn’t really matter. The setting is significant inasmuch as figuring out how each movie relates to one another, but the core story of  Iron Man  doesn’t change much at all if it’s set in May of 2008 or some time in 2010. The biggest exception to this is Marvel’s first period piece,  Captain America: The First Avenger .  It is explicitly tied to World War II, specifically the waning years of the war in Europe after America had joined in the fighting. Because of this, you’d expect more care to be taken with having a solid, consistent timeline for this movie, and what d’ya know, you’d be right!

Just to recap, here are our rules:

Rule #1 : Only the movies are canon.

Rule #2 : Title cards are always true.

Rule #3 : References to dates in spoken dialogue are always true unless they conflict with rule #2.

Rule #4 : Written dates that are prominently displayed in the world are usually true, unless they disagree with rules 2, 3, or each other.

Rule #5 : Props and background objects that can be tied to a specific date almost never count.

Agents on site at a frozen glacier:

We begin with a prologue sequence that we can assume is set vaguely in “present day.” The only real information we’re given is that the crash site was only very recently discovered, but we don’t know precisely when that discovery happened.

Title card reading,

Next up is the Red Skull’s invasion into Norway to retrieve the Tesseract in March of 1942.

Stever Rogers' enlistment form listing his birthday as July 4th, 1918.

After one more time jump we get into the main body of the movie with Steve Rogers trying (again) to enlist in the armed forces only to (again) get turned down. We don’t know yet exactly when this is taking place, but we do see that Steve’s birthday is July 4, 1918.

Steve and Bucky in an alleyway with posters on the wall advertising an event on May 29 and 30.

In the scene in the alley behind the movie theater we get some more clear information. The flyers on the wall give us some clues, but then Steve’s full enlistment form clears it up: it’s June 14, 1943, and Bucky has his assignment to ship out to Europe the next day.

Newspaper page advertising the 1943 World Exposition of Tomorrow.

A newspaper add for the World Exposition of Tomorrow reaffirms that this is, in fact, 1943, and then at the Expo itself, a young Howard Stark talks about the near-future of automobiles, but that doesn’t actually mean much for us. Moving on.

Flag at Camp Lehigh emblazoned with the years 1914 and 1942.

During Steve’s training, the flag that he and his fellow candidates are challenged to get is emblazoned with the dates 1914 and 1942. That’s one year older than we’ve established that this is, but the flag looks a bit worn so maybe it’s been there for a while. Either way, the last time someone got the flag was apparently 1926.

Abraham Erskine talking with Steve before his procedure,

Here Dr. Erskine talks to Steve the night before the super soldier procedure, but at this point we’re not totally clear on the timeline of how long Steve was in training before the decision was made.

Steve talking with Peggy Carter,

Here we can assume that Steve is talking about the war which America would have been involved in for about a year and a half by this point, which brings up the question of how Steve would have felt about the war prior to America’s entry. “A few years” is a broad enough term that it could just be referring to the 18 months since the bombing of Pearl Harbor, but I like to think it’s an indication that Steve is the kind of person who was concerned about the war well before America had joined in the fighting. After all, that’s the behind-the-scenes legacy of this character in the comics with Jack Kirby and Joe Simon famously receiving death threats for creating the Führer-punching super soldier a full nine months before America was formally ready to get involved.

Nazi military leaders questioning Johann Schmidt on his progress,

Again, reinforcing our timeline, we have Nazi commanders reprimanding Schmidt for not delivering any weapons in the year since Hydra invaded Norway to steal the Tesseract.

Colonel Phillips discussing the future of the SSR,

And now we have another signpost to move our timeline forward. Assuming this is the paper from the day after Steve’s procedure, that would mean only about a week passed between Steve’s enlistment at the World Exposition and his treatment with Erskine’s formula.

Title card reading,

Another time jump following Captain America’s USO tour finding Steve in Italy in November of 1943, five months later. When you consider Steve was doing USO shows nearly twenty times as long as he was in basic training, perhaps Colonel Phillips gruff dismissing of him feels a bit more fair.

Colonel Philips dictating condolence letters,

Another firm date. Steve’s raid of the Hydra facility was November 3, 1943.

Colonel Phillips talking to Zola,

These screen caps cover nearly a full hour of the film, but I’m lumping them all together because there’s some passage of time in the back half of this movie that is never explicitly defined. Obviously the setting of this movie has a definite endpoint with VE-Day being May 8, 1945, but it’s not entirely clear if Steve went in the water shortly before VE-Day or if the movie is bending time a little bit for emotional impact. Logically, it makes the most sense that Cap and the Howling Commandos were able to topple Hydra’s bases over a matter of months – and the wintertime imagery that prevails over this part of the movie seems to support that theory. Plus, Schmidt was pretty far along in the development of weapons; it doesn’t seem like it would take an additional year and a half before he’d be ready to launch his assault. I think putting Steve’s crash in late winter of 1944 makes the most sense, with the Howling Commandos taking a moment to drink to Cap amid the celebrations of VE-Day.

Steve confronting someone who appears to be an SSR agent,

And speaking of things that aren’t explicitly defined, it’s still a little bit vague when exactly Steve was found frozen in the ice. Obviously it happens prior to  The Avengers , and I think it makes sense to say it happens after  Thor , but even that isn’t made clear. Fury says it’s been almost 70 years, so if we assume Steve went into the ice in 1944, “almost” 70 years could be anywhere from 2009 to 2014. My best guess is that this happened very shortly before  The Avengers , a week or two at most, but we’ll get into that more next time.

The Timeline So Far…

965 A.D.: Odin "adopts" Loki. July 4, 1918: Steve Rogers is born. March 1942 thru May 1945: The events of "Captain America: The First Avenger. February 14, 1968: Ivan Vanko is born. 1969: Emil Blonsky is born. December 17, 1991: Howard and Maria Stark die in car accident. Pre-2004: The Hulk is created. February thru May, 2008: The events of "Iron Man". April through July, 2008: The events of "The Incredible Hulk". November 2008: the events of "Iron Man 2" and "Thor". Unknown: Steve Rogers is located, preserved in ice.

good day, I believe you did a great job marking the specific points in time in CATFA, but I found a mistake in the picture of the Timeline so far. Howard and Maria Stark died on the evening of December 16th 1991, its only in the news the next day. Just wanted to point that out, but otherwise good job and thanks for working through the movie like that!

How and why 'She-Hulk' finally answers one of the MCU's biggest questions: Is Captain America a virgin?

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

It’s a question that has been debated by Marvel fans for years: Is Steve Rogers ( Chris Evans ), aka Captain America, a virgin?

Considering that as a young man, Rogers was frozen in ice for six decades, then plunged immediately into action in a years-long battle for the fate of humanity, true believers theorized (obsessed over?) the idea that Cap didn’t have sex until he stayed in the past to grow old with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) following the time-hopping climax of Avengers: Endgame .

As it turns out, those obsessives include Jen Walters ( Tatiana Maslany ), the self-aware star of the new Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law , which Marvel finally, shockingly, gives us a definitive answer.

Walters is seen at the start of the series’ first episode, which premiered Thursday, amusingly rambling on about it to her cousin, Cap’s fellow Avenger Bruce Banner ( Mark Ruffalo ), in the lead-up to a fateful car crash: “He goes from world-threatening disaster to world-threatening disaster. That’s when he’s not a fugitive from the law. So it seems like he was pretty, pretty busy,” Jen says. “Obviously, Captain America was a virgin.”

Bruce is seemingly annoyed by a conversation that’s implied they’ve had many times before. But in the episode’s end credits scene, he actually clears the record.

“Steve Rogers is not a virgin,” Bruce, as Smart-Hulk, tells an “emotional” Jen, believing she’s intoxicated, as they drink outside his isolated Mexican lab. “He lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour.”

“Yes, I knew it,” Jen, who had been faking her inebriation, replies. “CAPTAIN AMERICA FU—!”

We only get the first sound of that last word (Marvel still isn’t allowing F-bombs, at least not until Deadpool formally crosses over), but we all know what she says.

Twitter reacted with appropriate delight Thursday, including Evans himself , who shared a few crying-from-laughing emojis as well as a zipper-mouth face.

Ruffalo, meanwhile, facetiously apologized : “Sorry bro. It was under extreme duress.”

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment last weekend, head writer and executive producer Jessica Gao explained why the half-hour comedy took on Rogers’s sex life for its big debut.

“That's just a question that I think a lot of people who watched Marvel movies had,” Gao tells us. “So many of these questions [in the show] about things that happened in the MCU are a result of just real conversations that we in the writers’ room have had with our friends or amongst each other. And that’s something a lot of us talked about in the writer's room: It would just be such a shame that one of the greatest men ever, with that hot ass, could go to his grave having never felt the loving embrace of a woman.” (In case you missed it, Gao is referencing another Marvel in-joke: the quality of Rogers’s backside, which in Endgame was dubbed “America’s ass.”)

Why #SheHulk takes on Captain America's virginity, according to head writer / executive producer Jessica Gao #hardjourrnalism pic.twitter.com/dvvUNuSwp4 — Kevin Polowy (@djkevlar) August 15, 2022

In a separate interview with Variety , Gao says the She-Hulk team cleared the gag with the head of the studio himself, Kevin Feige, who actually provided them the official company answer.

“I can’t describe to you how thrilled and shocked I was that not only was Kevin on board with answering the question, that he supplied me with the canon answer,” she said. “That is straight from Kevin’s golden mouth.”

Tatiana Maslany weighs in on #SheHulk 's Steve Rogers virginity reveal. "This is why a show like this exists. We're finally getting to the hidden truths of the MCU." pic.twitter.com/KepK9Vt3Bm — Kevin Polowy (@djkevlar) August 18, 2022

Maslany was not previously familiar with the brouhaha over Steve’s sex life. “I thought that was just Jen’s brain, and I love that there are a whole group of people who are Googling this,” she tells us.

“This is why a show like this exists. We're finally getting to the hidden truths of the MCU."

Before having that conversation in the writers’ room, we’re wondering if She-Hulk ’s creators saw our interview from 2021 with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely , the screenwriters of all three Captain America movies, as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

For Captain America: The First Avenger’s 10th bday, I talked to writers Markus & McFeely about things like the hot-button issue of Steve Rogers’ virginity. They are emphatic Steve lost it on that USO tour in First Avenger, which I believe is now canon. CC @ChrisEvans #Hardnews pic.twitter.com/LfYc0zDmJD — Kevin Polowy (@djkevlar) July 22, 2021

“I think he loses his virginity!” McFeely reacted emphatically when we asked if they ever considered showing Rogers with a woman in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger . “Why do people think he’s a virgin? If you look like that, and you’re going city to city, and you’re signing autographs for the likes of the ladies he’s signing the autographs for, I gotta imagine that [he lost his virginity].”

“And yeah, the thing to remember is Steve Rogers isn’t a prude,” Markus added. “He may be occasionally presented that way. He’s a guy who believes in right and wrong and all these things, but he’s not a choir boy. He’s a World War II veteran.”

Markus and McFeely, it turns out, were right all along.

“And I’m gonna say it right now,” Markus added dryly. “We shot it. We filmed it. We have it.”

Maybe that comes in She-Hulk ’s season finale.

Marvel has ended fan speculation about if and when Captain America lost his virginity prior to returning to the past to find his true love Peggy Carter – a decision the superhero played by Chris Evans makes at the end of Avengers: Endgame .

In an episode of the new Marvel series She-Hulk : Attorney at Law , it’s confirmed that Captain America, aka Steve Rogers, lost his virginity on a USO Tour, at least according to his buddy The Hulk, aka Bruce Banner (played by Mark Ruffalo ).

Evans, who has played Captain America across 12 separate Marvel films, reacted to the revelation on Twitter with a string of emojis, including the laughing-crying face and the “my lips are zipped” emoji.

The information was revealed as part of a mid-credit sequence on She-Hulk , which premiered Thursday (18 August) on Disney+.

In the scene, She-Hulk, played by Tatiana Maslany , makes the case to her cousin Bruce Banner that Captain America was too busy saving the world to have sex, effectively baiting him into violating his old friend’s privacy by correcting her: “Steve Rogers is not a virgin. He lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour” – referring to free concerts and events sponsored by the United Service Organisations for members of the American military.

Evans isn’t the only MCU actor to react to the shocking news.

Chris Evans and Jameela Jamil on Twitter

Jameela Jamil , who plays the supervillain Titania on She-Hulk , responded to Evans’ tweet with a string of skull emojis.

Evans recently made headlines talking about his own quest for love while promoting his Netflix film The Gray Man .

A Complete Timeline Of Steve Rogers And The Legacy Of The Captain America Shield

Stephan Roget

Steve Rogers's own personal journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been quite the time-bending trip, but it’s nothing compared to the journey of the mantle he so proudly wore. The Captain America timeline, following the title and the iconic piece of hardware that accompanies it, winds from the earliest days of the MCU well into its future. From Steve Rogers to Isaiah Bradley to Sam Wilson to John Walker, the shield has ricocheted and rebounded throughout the franchise, making an indelible impact wherever it strikes.

Aside from perhaps the saga of the Winter Soldier , no superpowered identity has undergone anywhere near the evolution that Captain America has over the past decade and change. The shield has always been a powerful symbol, but now it's also symbolic of the MCU itself - both where it came from, and where it's going from here.

Born in Brooklyn on the Fourth of July in 1918, Steven Rogers was orphaned by the time he was a teenager. He got by on his own steadfast determination and gumption, along with some help from lifelong best friend James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes.

Everything changed on December 7, 1941. Steve and Bucky were in art class when they heard of the attack on Pearl Harbor, along with the United States' subsequent declaration of war. The two headed down to the local recruitment center immediately, wishing to enlist. Barnes, a star athlete and student, was accepted with no hesitation, but the frail and sickly Rogers was rejected and classified as "4F."

As Bucky went off to complete basic training and came ever closer to shipping overseas, Steve grew desperate to join him. He spent more than a year traveling around to various recruitment centers and even using slightly modified enlistment cards to cover his tracks, but to no avail.

In early 1943, Bucky Barnes returned to Brooklyn briefly before being deployed overseas. He took Steve Rogers to the '43 Stark Expo in an attempt to cheer up his pal, but Rogers bailed when he happened upon an ad hoc enlistment station. It was there that he met Dr. Abraham Erskine.

Unbeknownst to Rogers, Erskine had defected from the Third Reich and brought his Super-Soldier serum with him. He and the US Army were looking for an ideal first test subject. Overhearing and then interviewing Rogers, Erskine came away determined that Rogers was "not a perfect soldier, but a good man," and offered him a spot in the program.

Rogers traveled to Camp Lehigh to complete basic training alongside other would-be super soldiers, and there he met Peggy Carter. Impressing with little more than his big heart and never-quit attitude, Rogers was ultimately selected as the first to receive the combination of Erskine's serum and Howard Stark's vita-rays.

Rogers was transformed in an instant, becoming a muscle-bound specimen of peak humanity. Minutes later, however, tragedy struck when Erskine was assassinated by a Hydra spy. Rogers chased down the assailant, but it was too late to save Erskine - or the secret formula that existed only in his head. As a result, Rogers remained the US Army's one and only super soldier, and was thus banned from active combat in order to preserve him.

A US Army rep approached Steve Rogers and asked if he'd be interested in helping with the war effort in a non-combat role, which Rogers eagerly agreed to - without knowing expressly what he was signing up for. The job turned out to be that of "The Star-Spangled Man with a Plan," a brightly costumed entertainer traveling the country with the USO and attempting to musically drum up support for the purchase of war bonds. The gig came with an honorary promotion to "Captain America," an opportunity to punch a fake Adolf Hitler dozens of times, and the adulation of screaming fans, but it still left Rogers feeling hollow.

That feeling was only exacerbated when he accompanied the USO on an overseas trip to Italy in late 1943 and got to see firsthand what real soldiers actually thought of Captain America.

While in Italy, Steve Rogers learned that the entirety of the 107th Infantry Regiment - including Bucky Barnes - had been killed or captured by Hydra, with POWs taken to a camp in Austria. With help from Peggy Carter and Howard Stark, Rogers embarked on a brave solo mission behind enemy lines, ultimately freeing Barnes - who had been medically experimented on by Arnim Zola - and most of the soon-to-be Howling Commandos.

During the escape, Rogers also had his first face-to-face encounter with the Red Skull. Upon their return to Colonel Chester Phillips's camp, Barnes led the soldiers with a rousing chorus of "Let's hear it for Captain America!"

All of a sudden, Rogers had gone from a performer to a genuine war hero - and the name "Captain America" finally meant something.

1945: Cap And The Howling Commandos Defeat The Red Skull, Cap Crashes To His Presumed Demise

Never one to rest on his laurels, Steve Rogers set about forming the Howling Commandos, recruiting those he had rescued, including Bucky Barnes, Dum Dum Dugan, and Jim Morita. Aided by equipment provided by Howard Stark, including that iconic vibranium shield, Cap and the Commandos barnstormed across Europe for a year, shutting down Hydra facilities left and right.

On a 1945 mission to capture Arnim Zola aboard a high-speed train in the Alps, Barnes fell to his apparent demise in the Danube River - though he'd actually be recovered by the Soviet wing of Hydra and transformed into the Winter Soldier.

Rogers himself was thought lost after confronting the Red Skull aboard his Tesseract-powered bomber, the Valkyrie . After defeating the Skull, Rogers chose to crash the Valkyrie into the glacial waters of the Atlantic so that it could not complete its preprogrammed flight to the United States. As he plunged into the depths, Rogers bid farewell to Peggy Carter over the radio - and wasn't heard from again for more than half a century.

The living legend that was Captain America began to fade into memory.

Though the headlines first read "Rogers Disappears," eventually most came to believe that Captain America had perished stopping the Red Skull. Howard Stark continued the search for decades, eventually recovering the Tesseract from the icy depths, but no sign of his lost friend. In time, the search waned.

All the while, Steve Rogers remained frozen in natural cryostasis, kept alive in suspended animation through a combination of the extreme cold and the Super-Soldier Serum coursing through his veins, but unconscious and unaware of the rapidly advancing world around him. There he would stay for the next seven decades.

With Steve Rogers missing in action and presumed deceased, the world moved on - but the US Army still had a strong interest in producing more super soldiers for the wars to come. Its methods soon devolved into deeply unethical territory, including dosing dozens of Black soldiers with experimental serums without their knowledge or consent. Only one, Isaiah Bradley, survived the process.

Bradley, never given a costume or a shield, became Captain America through his deeds alone. He was deployed on several missions during the Korean War, including an attempt to destroy the Winter Soldier in a bar in Goyang. Despite his selfless service, Bradley was imprisoned upon returning to the US in an attempt to cover up the shameful actions that had led to his empowerment.

Bradley would spend the next 30 years of his life behind bars before finally being honored for his part in the Captain America legacy many decades later, thanks to the actions of Sam Wilson.

2012: Steve Is Discovered, Thawed Out, And Revived

In 2012, S.H.I.E.L.D. renewed its attempts to find Captain America, headed by Director Nick Fury and Cap superfan Phil Coulson. By then, they were just hoping to recover the Valkyrie and Cap's body, but they found a whole lot more that. Against all odds, Rogers was pulled from the ice and resuscitated, waking up in a vastly different New York City some 67 years after his last active memory.

Rogers came to in a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility designed to look like something out of the late '40s, but he quickly became wise to the ruse and dashed out into Times Square, certain he'd been caught up in another Hydra plot. It was there that he realized he was, in fact, back home - and there that Fury explained to him exactly what happened.

All the forlorn Rogers could do was sadly remark, "I had a date."

  • The Avengers

Waking up in 2012 was quite the shocking experience for Steve Rogers, and the whirlwind only continued from there. For a few months, Rogers did little other than punch heavy bags until they exploded, but then Nick Fury approached him again about working for S.H.I.E.L.D. - and joining the Avengers Initiative.

Rogers's first mission involved his old MacGuffin, the Tesseract, which had just been stolen by Loki. That soon enough erupted into a full-scale alien invasion plot, the assembling of the original Avengers roster, and some requisite infighting before the team pulled itself together in time for the Battle of New York. Captain America played a major role in rallying his squadmates together long enough to fight off the Chitauri, apprehend Loki, and recover the Tesseract.

Then Steve Rogers ate shawarma for the first time as the media celebrated the Avengers' victory, and specifically Captain America's leading role in winning the day.

2014: Cap Is Declared A Wanted Criminal By S.H.I.E.L.D. And Goes On The Run With Black Widow

Celebrated worldwide as a planet-saving hero, Captain America continued to run missions for S.H.I.E.L.D., all while Hydra neared the end of its decades-long plot to overthrow the organization from within. The duplicity of World Security Council Secretary Alexander Pierce, along with the attempted assassination of Nick Fury by the Winter Soldier in 2014, led to Steve Rogers being declared a fugitive.

After duking it out with a dozen Hydra operatives in an elevator, Rogers went on the run with Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow. They sought refuge with Sam Wilson, a US Air Force vet whom Steve had befriended on the local running track - and the trio began plotting a response to Hydra's infiltration and their intentions for Project Insight.

Meanwhile, the world got used to thinking of its greatest hero as a wanted criminal, and not for the last time.

Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, and Sam Wilson - sporting his Falcon wings stateside for the first time - abducted S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and Hydra goon Jasper Sitwell to learn more about Project Insight. On the heels of the revelation that Hydra intended to slaughter millions with the Insight helicarriers, the interrogation was rudely interrupted by the arrival of the Winter Soldier, who plucked Sitwell out of a moving car and hurled him into oncoming traffic.

A fierce fracas ensued, with Captain America, the Black Widow, and the Falcon all trying to fend off the one-man assassination machine. It came down to a one-on-one bout between Cap and the Winter Soldier in the downtown streets of Washington, during the course of which the Winter Soldier's mask was ripped off - and Rogers saw the face of his oldest friend, Bucky Barnes, lying behind it. In a flash and for the first time in a long time, Rogers's past had caught up with him.

The revelation, and the subsequent response - "Who the hell is Bucky?" - shocked Cap long enough for the Winter Soldier to make his escape. Rogers was arrested thereafter and threatened with a Hydra execution, but he was rescued en route by Maria Hill, who then took him to a surprisingly alive Nick Fury in an underground bunker.

Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Sam Wilson, Maria Hill, and Nick Fury made a plan to stop the Hydra uprising before it claimed the lives of millions. Steve Rogers's job was to announce Hydra's presence over the S.H.I.E.L.D. intercom in the course of a rousing speech, inspiring loyal S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to fight back against the infiltrators in their midst. Then, he was to board one of the Insight helicarriers and attempt to insert a chip that would overwrite its programming.

Predictably enough, Rogers found the Winter Soldier waiting for him onboard. Throughout their rematch, Steve continually tried to break through to the Bucky Barnes within, and was ultimately successful - both in shutting down the helicarrier and reaching his old friend. When Rogers was knocked unconscious in the explosions that followed and fell into the Potomac, the Winter Soldier dragged him out, before disappearing to parts unknown.

Soon thereafter, Rogers and Romanoff made the decision to release all of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra's secrets to the public, thoroughly exposing both organizations - and restoring Captain America's reputation as a champion of the people.

By the mid-2010s, Captain America's reestablished status as his country’s greatest hero hadn't just gone mainstream - it had gone mainstream enough to start showing up in the high school curriculum.

Despite running into some issues with his own government in years past, Steve Rogers still found the time to record a series of instructional videos for public schools across the nation, lecturing on topics like physical fitness, honesty, and patience. Millions of high schoolers, including Peter Parker, were expected to take their moral cues from Cap - and they couldn't have asked for a better role model.

  • Captain America: Civil War

Through the Hydra uprising and the arrival, and subsequent defeat, of the self-inflicted Ultron, Steve Rogers remained a company man, always willing to obey orders and represent his country via the Avengers with few questions asked. That began to change after a 2016 mission gone wrong in Lagos resulted in several innocent deaths, and the introduction of the Sokovia Accords, which sought to make the sort of governmental loyalty that Captain America had always displayed mandatory for all costumed crimefighters.

Rogers, already shaken by the recent demise of Peggy Carter, opposed the Accords right from the get-go, which brought him into diametric conflict with fellow Avenger Tony Stark. Their debate remained philosophical for the time being, but that wouldn't last - and, for the first time, Cap found himself pushing back against the tide of public opinion and standing up for what he knew was right, even with the whole world telling him to move.

2016: Captain America Faces Off With Iron Man In A Civil War To Save Bucky Barnes

Steve Rogers and Tony Stark's disagreement over the Sokovia Accords came to a head when Bucky Barnes was framed by Helmut Zemo for an explosion that took the life of Wakanda's King T'Chaka, among others. The US government, Stark, and a good chunk of the Avengers wanted the Winter Soldier brought in through any means necessary, but Rogers and Sam Wilson wanted to make one last attempt to reason with him - thus sparking what came to be known as the Civil War.

An initial fracas with T'Chaka's son, T'Challa, resulted in the trio of Steve, Sam, and Bucky being imprisoned in Germany. When Zemo showed up again to activate Barnes's Winter Soldier programming, Rogers and Wilson took Barnes into their own custody to break through his brainwashing. That led to the revelation that Zemo was planning to activate a quintet of super soldiers on ice in Siberia, so the trio enlisted a handful of allies to confront Zemo. But Iron Man had collected allies of his own, and the two groups duked it out at an airport in Berlin.

Wilson, Wanda Maximoff, Clint Barton, and Scott Lang were arrested, but Rogers and Barnes managed to flee to Siberia, only to be followed by Stark and T'Challa. There, Zemo revealed that he had already slain the frozen super soldiers, and that his real plan was to destroy the Avengers by letting them in on a secret: that the Winter Soldier has assassinated Tony's parents, Howard and Maria.

That painful revelation led to another all-out brawl, with Cap and Bucky ultimately leaving a broken and bitter Iron Man behind. Steve also left his shield with Tony, both because Tony had insisted the shield belonged to his father, not Cap, and partly because he had begun to question whether he was truly worthy of wielding it.

Thankfully, T'Challa was on hand to hear the truth of Zemo's scheming, and he offered to spirit Rogers and Barnes away to Wakanda.

Post-Sokovia Accords, Steve Rogers was no longer sure whether he should wield the shield or the mantle of Captain America, but that didn't mean he stopped being a hero. Rogers dropped Bucky Barnes off for some much-needed rehab and Wakanda, and then broke Sam Wilson and Wanda Maximoff out of the Raft, leaving Clint Barton and Scott Lang to take plea deals that reunited them with their families. While the shield collected dust in Tony Stark's garage, Rogers and his Secret Avengers ran missions across the globe for the next several years, staying on the run the entire time.

In time, Iron Man and the other Avengers stopped pursuing their former teammates, with Stark even allowing the Vision to regularly disappear for rendezvous with Wanda. Tony had received a mobile phone in the mail along with a pledge: "No matter what, I promise you, if you need us - if you need me - I'll be there."

For years, Tony didn't find a valid reason to call, and by the time he did, it was a little too late.

2018: Cap Comes Out Of Hiding To Help Fight Thanos In Wakanda

Steve Rogers and his Secret Avengers stayed largely off the radar until 2018, appearing wherever they were needed and then fading back into the shadows. That changed when two members of Thanos's Black Order appeared on Earth to accost Vision and Wanda Maximoff in search of the Mind Stone embedded in Vision's head.

Rogers, the Black Widow, and the Falcon showed up just in time to defeat Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight. With Iron Man and Doctor Strange trapped on a spaceship headed for Titan, it was up to Rogers and his crew to mount a defense against the pending invasion of Thanos's army. They chose Wakanda as the battleground.

Alongside T'Challa and a fully rehabilitated Bucky Barnes, Rogers led the charge - complete with a couple of fancy new Wakandan shields. Not even the arrival of Thor could turn the tide for long, however, and soon Thanos himself appeared on the field. Rogers valiantly attempted to stop the Mad Titan from reaching the Vision, but was knocked unconscious. Tossing aside the other Avengers, Thanos ripped the Mind Stone from Vision's head and completed the Infinity Gauntlet, immediately snapping half of all life in the universe out of existence, including Bucky and Sam Wilson.

Rogers, truly defeated for the first time in his life, sat next to the lifeless Vision at a loss for words. There would be no rousing speech from Captain America on that day.

When Tony Stark returned to Earth, he and Steve Rogers finally reunited, though not exactly peacefully. As Stark recovered, Rogers led a team of the unsnapped Avengers, accompanied by Nebula, Rocket, and Captain Marvel, to a small planet where Thanos had hoped to live out his retirement - and upon learning that Thanos had destroyed the Infinity Stones, erasing any chance of undoing his genocidal actions, Rogers watched as Thor beheaded the Mad Titan.

The rest of the world moved on. For five years, nothing much of significance occurred. Taking a page from Sam Wilson's book, Rogers began running a therapy group for grief counseling, offering words of wisdom about the importance of moving on from "the Snap." Rogers, however, found himself unable to take his own advice.

2023: He Rejoins The Surviving Avengers For The Time Heist, Defeats Self

The sudden reappearance of Scott Lang - thought to be dusted by Thanos, but actually just trapped in the Quantum Realm - in 2023 sparked new hope for Steve Rogers and his fellow Avengers. Rogers made a desperate plea to Tony Stark for help in what came to be known as the "Time Heist," and, after much consideration, Stark agreed - arriving at the Avengers Compound with Rogers's shield in hand.

Suiting up as Captain America once again, Rogers led his teammates on a quest across various timelines to retrieve the Infinity Stones. The mission resulted in Cap seeing Peggy Carter once again, as well as defeating his old self from 2012 - proving he had, indeed, become stronger in the decade since.

Some creative thinking on Rogers's part ensured the Time Heist was a success, and the team - minus Natasha Romanoff - returned to 2023, where Bruce Banner snapped those lost to Thanos back into existence. Unfortunately, the celebration was extremely short-lived.

2023: Cap Proves Worthy Of Mjolnir In The Final Battle Against Thanos

2023: Cap Proves Worthy Of Mjolnir In The Final Battle Against Thanos

A version of Thanos from the past traveled forward to 2023 to confront the Avengers and retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet, destroying the Avengers HQ as he arrived. Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor attempted to fend him off, and during the course of the fighting, Steve Rogers attempted to lift Mjolnir by himself - and succeeded.

With one swing of the enchanted mallet, Cap erased all doubts of his worthiness, both from others and within himself, showing once and for all that everything special about him did not come out of a bottle. Even a magic hammer, however, wasn't enough to defeat Thanos and his army. That required the mass teleportation of the legions of the unsnapped to the battlefield, including Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes.

Ultimately, it was Tony Stark who made the sacrifice play to erase the Mad Titan from existence. The futurist finally let go of the future, leaving it to his friends and family, and rested.

Cap's job, on the other hand, wasn't quite finished yet. The man who couldn't let go of his past would have to go back to it.

Someone had to return the Infinity Stones to the alternate timelines from which they had been plucked, and Steve Rogers volunteered for the mission - with an ulterior motive in mind, as it turned out. Telling only Bucky Barnes of his true intentions, Rogers did indeed get the Stones back to their rightful places successfully, but then he chose to stay in one of those pasts. Rogers picked out a version of the late 1940s and found Peggy Carter again, finally fulfilling that promise he'd made of a date and a dance, and then settling down into a long, blissfully married life with her.

Eventually, Rogers returned to his original timeline, just a few seconds after his friends had watched him depart to return the Stones. Now elderly, Rogers came back to hand his shield over to Sam Wilson, intending for Sam to become the new Captain America.

Then, Rogers disappeared again to parts - or timelines - unknown.

As the world came to grips with the loss of Captain America, Iron Man, and the Black Widow in quick succession, Sam Wilson struggled to accept the powerful legacy he'd just been handed. Still feeling like the shield belonged to "someone else," Wilson decided it would be best if he just stayed the Falcon. He ultimately gave the shield over to the Smithsonian for safekeeping and to be put on display as part of an exhibition honoring the life of Captain America.

Several others, including James Rhodes and Bucky Barnes, let Sam know they thought he had made the wrong choice, but even they couldn't have begun to guess how right they were.

Just days after Sam Wilson had handed Steve Rogers's shield over to the Smithsonian to be put on display, it was confiscated by the US government and handed over to veteran soldier John Walker - the new state-sponsored Captain America.

Many bristled at the public unveiling of Walker, but none more so than Wilson and Bucky Barnes. After some initial conflict, they begrudgingly offered to help Walker in his campaign against the Flag Smashers, but that collaboration ended as soon as Walker - just having taken a refurbished Super-Soldier Serum - split one of the Flag Smashers in half in public, tarnishing the symbolism of the shield forever.

Wilson and Barnes brought Walker in and took the shield back.

With the shield in hand and some encouraging words from Bucky Barnes - who admitted that neither Steve Rogers nor he had fully understood the societal implications of anointing a Black man as the next Captain America - Sam Wilson began montage-training himself into the best shape of his life. Meanwhile, Barnes secured a new Cap costume from his Wakandan allies, complete with a set of vibranium wings, and delivered it to Wilson.

When the Flag Smashers made their big public move, abducting members of the Global Repatriation Council, Wilson arrived on the scene in full Captain America regalia to stop them. Teaming up with both Barnes and John Walker, Wilson was able to bring the conflict to a peaceful resolution - only to witness head Flag Smasher Karli Morgenthau take a bullet from Sharon Carter.

Wilson flew Morgenthau's body to the freed members of the GRC waiting below, and then delivered a speech that topped anything that ever came out of Rogers's mouth. He excoriated the rich and powerful assemblage to do better, telling them:

Every time I pick [the shield] up, I know there are millions of people who are gonna hate me for it. Even now, here... I feel it. The stares, the judgment. And there's nothin' I can do to change it. Yet, I'm still here. No super serum, no blond hair, or blue eyes. The only power I have is that I believe we can do better.

And in that moment, with those words, Sam Wilson truly became the next Captain America - in body, mind, and spirit.

James Gunn explains why Steve Rogers didn’t lose his virginity to Star-Lord’s mom

Image of Scott Campbell

As anyone could have predicted, the biggest talking point to come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest blockbuster series was the confirmation that Captain America was not a virgin , with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law clearing up one of the franchise’s most burning questions once and for all.

It didn’t take long for Chris Evans to react to the revelation that Steve Rogers had indeed gotten down and dirty during a 1943 USO tour, and because this is the internet we’re talking about, it didn’t take long for all sorts of saucy theories to emerge concerning the who, what, where, and why.

One of the most curious has some folks suggesting that the star-spangled superhero got it on with none other than Meredith Quill, mother to Star-Lord, who was herself impregnated later on by Ego the Living Planet. The reason is simple; actress Laura Haddock made her onscreen debut as “Autograph Seeker” in The First Avenger , before being recast in James Gunn’s cosmic adventure.

However, once the speculation made its way onto the filmmaker’s timeline, he was quick to explain why it didn’t make sense.

True. In that case Laura’s character who met cap in 1943 would be way too young. Meredith Quill was born in late 50’s/early 60’s. https://t.co/ciBEWSX1SO — James Gunn (@JamesGunn) August 19, 2022

1943 uso tour marvel

That being said, Gunn didn’t rule out Peter Quill’s grandmother being the lucky lady in question, which creates all sorts of mind-blowing scenarios that could technically establish Steve Rogers as Star-Lord’s grandfather. That’s an entire can of worms that’s just ready to be opened, but we’d feel confident in saying MCU theorists will have already been trying to connect as many dots as possible.

James Gunn Weighs In On MCU's Steve Rogers Virginity Debate

Steve Rogers virginity James Gunn

The love lives of superheroes have always been a topic of conversation, and recently fans have been rather entangled with Captain America's virginity . His most famous on-screen romance was with Peggy Carter - along with one kiss with her niece Sharon - but many have been wondering whether he was ever with anyone before taking a time-travel trip to the past in  Avengers: Endgame .

Warning - The rest of this article contains spoilers for  She-Hulk: Attorney at Law  Episode 1

Following  She-Hulk 's surprising reveal that Chris Evans' Steve Rogers lost his virginity during his 1943 USO Tour , many have been trying to determine the identity of his anonymous lover. Among the topic contenders is Laura Haddock's unnamed "Autograph Seeker," but there is far more debate surrounding her character than meets the eye.

Captain America Virgin She-Hulk

Years after her MCU debut in  Captain America: The First Avenger , Haddock went on to tackle another MCU role as Star-Lord's mother, Meredith Quill. This has since led many to speculate that Rogers' infatuated "Autograph Seeker" might be the grandmother of the lead Guardian, although director James Gunn has since shut down that theory .

Laura Haddock Guardians of the Galaxy The First Avenger

Nonetheless, as the topic of Captain America's first time comes back to the forefront, Gunn has once again been dragged into the conversation to address the connection.

James Gunn Addresses Captain America's Virginity

Guardians of the Galaxy  director James Gunn has weighed in on the debate that Laura Haddock's "Autographer Seeker," who approaches Steve Rogers on  The First Avenger 's USO tour, may be connected to Star-Lord's mother Meredith Quill as they share an actress.

Gunn  pointed out that Meredith Quill was born "in [the] late 50s/early 60s," meaning Rogers couldn't possibly be Star-Lord's grandfather, shutting down recent theories:

"True. In that case, Laura’s character who met cap in 1943 would be way too young. Meredith Quill was born in late 50s/early 60s."

Another fan later questioned if Haddock's "Autograph Seeker" could be Star-Lord's great aunt, to which Gunn jokingly agreed "sure why not."

Who Did Steve Rogers Lose His Virginity To?

Captain America Virgin She-Hulk

Unfortunately, the timelines may not align closely enough for Steve Rogers to be Peter Quill's grandfather, as hilarious as that would be. With Gunn claiming Meredith Quill wasn't born until the late '50s or early '60s, that shuts down any chance of a connection, but that doesn't necessarily mean she couldn't be a relative of Quill - such as a great aunt.

Obviously, at the time of casting there was no link intended between the two, but the MCU is famous for retconning connections into the canon . Then again, as fun as the theory may be, there's no denying that fans almost certainly will never discover for certain whether there is a direct link here.

On that same note, the MCU will likely never reveal who Rogers' first lover was, but Haddock's fan girl is the best guess for now. Of course, the exact identity of whom the First Avenger lost his virginity is far from important. What's far more interesting is that it wasn't Peggy or Sharon Carter.

Dr DisRespect Admits He Was Banned From Twitch For Messaging A Minor

Why do so many influencers want to let dr disrespect off the hook, here's why it took journalists so long to reveal dr disrespect's inappropriate messages.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has definitively answered the question of whether or not Captain America died a virgin. It’s a fan theory that’s been turned into a running gag on the first episode of She-Hulk, where main character Jennifer Walters continually tells anyone who’ll listen that Captain America died without first having done the deed.At the end of the episode, Bruce Banner (aka He-Hulk) cuts Jen’s drunken tirade short with the definitive answer: "Steve Rogers is not a virgin. He lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour." Related: Marvel's Avengers Adding The Winter Soldier Over She-Hulk Is Its Biggest Misstep Yet Having finally been proven wrong by someone who would know, Jen ends the episode by triumphantly shouting, "Captain America Fu-."

That’s all well and good, but now that we know Steve Rogers banged at least one woman in 1943, fans have created another theory: Steve Rogers banked Star-Lord’s mom.

The only evidence to support this theory is a clip from the original Captain America showing Rogers on the USO tour in 1943. A woman approaches him, says "hi," and we’re left to wonder what that interaction could have led to. Interestingly, the woman in question is the same actress (Laura Haddock) who plays Star Lord’s mother in Guardians of the Galaxy.

There is, of course, a fatal flaw to this theory in that Star Lord was a kid in the '80s, forty years after the deed was presumably done. It’s possible that superheroes have exceptionally long gestation periods, or that Rogers actually banged Star-Lord’s grandmother. We’ll have to wait for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to release a show which addresses this latest fan theory.

One thing we know for sure is that Captain America himself found the revelation pretty funny .

If you'd like the whole story on how Captain America's virginity became a plot point in She-Hulk, EW has an interview with head writer Jessica Gao where she discusses how that knowledge was disseminated from one Marvel writer to another. And don't believe the misogynistic user reviews --She-Hulk is great, and you should watch it.

Every Upcoming Marvel Game Currently In Development (2024)

10 games to play if you love captain america, ea's black panther could finally give wakanda the attention it deserves.

  • Khary Payton portrays the World War 2-era's Black Panther, Azzuri, who uses stealth tactics to fight Hydra.
  • Drew Moerlein plays Captain America, who is tracking Black Panther, leading to a confrontation between the two heroes.
  • Megalyn Echikunwoke plays Nanali, a Wakandan spy in Occupied France.
  • Marque Richardson plays Gabriel Jones, a member of the Howling Commandos.

Skydance New Media revealed its first story trailer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra as part of Epic’s “State Of Unreal” presentation at the 2024 Game Developers Conference (GDC). The title had previously been announced with a teaser trailer in 2022, at the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase, but the newer story trailer has provided a better look at the game's key characters and has given some insight into their mission through Occupied France during World War 2.

Many of the characters revealed in Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra 's story trailer have been adapted from Captain America and Black Panther's World War 2-era comic storyline Flags of Our Fathers .

Accompanying Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra 's trailer reveal, Marvel revealed who is portraying some of the game's key characters and how they will be assisting the iconic Marvel heroes on their mission. Currently, there don't seem to be any announcements surrounding who will be playing the game's main villains, but considering the time period, and how the game follows the titular rise of Hydra, it's likely that classic foes such as Red Skull or Baron Wolfgang von Strucker will appear.

Including the imminent arrival of Marvel's Wolverine, Marvel gaming fans can look forward to multiple titles hitting shelves in the coming years.

Khary Payton Is Playing Black Panther

Black panther can be seen deploying stealth tactics.

Khary Payton is playing Azzuri, also known as King T'Chanda, and this period's Black Panther . Azzuri is the grandfather to the modern-day Black Panther, T'Challa . Azzuri can be seen keeping largely to the rooftops of Paris, using his parkour skills to move above enemy forces undetected, observing them before taking them out with speed and agility.

Drew Moerlein Is Playing Captain America

Captain america is tracking black panther.

Drew Moerlein plays Steve Rogers, also known as America's super-soldier, Captain America. Despite being deployed in Occupied France to combat Hydra forces, Captain America can be heard voicing his concerns about the "six-foot tall cat man with claws that can cut through vibranium alloy", along with another, unnamed super-soldier in Paris, calling it "two too many". Throughout the trailer, Rogers can be seen exploring the aftermath of Black Panther's attacks on Hydra as he tracks the Wakandan hero, leading to a confrontation between the two on a bridge.

Though he doesn't necessarily appear in them, except for one, Captain America's DNA can be felt in a bunch of video games.

Megalyn Echikunwoke Is Playing Nanali

Nanali is a wakandan spy in occupied france.

Megalyn Echikunwoke plays Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied France. Throughout the trailer, she can be seen advising Azzuri to keep to the rooftops and to be careful when approaching Hydra, while also warning him of the Americans tracking him. In the comics, Nanali was the Queen of Wakanda during World War 2 , and was in a relationship with Azzuri, and while this isn't confirmed by Marvel's announcement or the trailer, from the chemistry displayed between the two characters in Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra it's likely that this will be the case in this portrayal.

Electronic Arts has confirmed a new Black Panther game is in development, and it could include the best version of Wakanda in gaming to date.

Marque Richardson Is Playing Gabriel Jones

Jones is a member of the howling commandos.

Marque Richardson plays Gabriel Jones, a U.S. soldier and member of the elite group, the Howling Commandos. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra 's trailer shows Jones mostly interacting with Nanali , who has infiltrated the American base in search of information. Jones was a regular cast member in the Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos comics , and traveled to Wakanda to combat a Nazi invasion at one point. Considering Wakanda's appearance in Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra 's key art, and Marvel calling the game a " globe-trotting adventure ", it's possible this storyline could play out.

No other members of the Howling Commandos have been confirmed to appear in Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra .

Howard Stark And The French Resistance Will Be Helping The Heroes

Stark will likely provide captain america with his equipment.

Marvel revealed two additional cast members and characters who didn't appear in Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra 's trailer. One of these characters is only known as "Julie", who is portrayed by Lyne Renée and is described only as " a member of the French Resistance ". The other is a Marvel regular, Howard Stark, who is played by Joel Johnstone.

Little is known about Julie, and it's possible that this name could be an alias and may turn out to be a surprise Marvel character later. There is plenty known about Howard Stark, however, as would go on to be the father of Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) but has been shown as a key part of Captain America and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s origins in plenty of Marvel media, including the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and invented much of the equipment the American forces use during World War 2 in the Marvel universe.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is now confirmed to be targeting a 2025 release date. Therefore, it's extremely likely that Marvel and Skydance New Media will start revealing more information surrounding the heroes' mission, and some of the Hydra villains players will be facing very soon.
