cruise terminal to Notre Dame de la Garde. 8 years ago. Hi, We are a party of 10 adults. We will be travelling on MSC Preziosa and visiting Marseille on Dec 5, which is a Saturday. I have learnt from the forum that there is a free shuttle bus to the city centre.
How far is it from cruise port?
It's about 20 mins by car/taxi from the Port but probably just 10 mins from the Vieux Port (the old port). You could walk it from Vieux Port but would recommend just walking down on the return journey as it is uphill all the way.

From the old port you can get a bus to the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, which is a cheaper option than the tourist train. The bus number is 60 and it leaves every 15 minutes from this location.
