Memorable E-bike tour in Ooty
I went on the blive bike tour during my stay at Ooty Club Mahindra Derby green resort, with my wife and 11 year old son. The tour was wonderful, and the bikes were very easy to ride. Supported by additional electric power, the bikes were easy to ride even up slopes and we were able to cover 15+ km distance in about 4 hours. Our captain Sarvan Kumar was very helpful and guided us very well throughout the trip - through the cycling paths leading to a church, palace, fern hill station and a tribal temple. We rode along tea plantations, villages and through very beautiful scenic views that you don’t get to see on usual tours. Far from crowds, this was one of the most memorable activities ever.

Organised by B:Live, the ride started on a pleasant afternoon with the captain guiding us on how to use the e-bikes. This was followed by a beautiful ride with four stops at places with historic significance. The trail chosen was indeed a treat to the eyes covered with beautiful landscapes. The offbeat trail for one of the spots was exciting followed by the ride back to the hotel with the view of the sun setting over the hills of Ooty which resulted in a wonderful Twilight. A treat to the eyes for sure. Looks like the track was well chosen to give the best possible experience for cycling in Ooty. Would definitely recommend people to try this and any travellers looking at this review don't hesitate to try it out. It is, was and will always be a memorable experience for all of us.

You will be able to enjoy views better even if you had already travelled through the same route in car. bikes effortless to ride and you wont feel the effort to cover distance in it.
This was the best thing that i did in ooty.I got to see a different part of ooty which i truly loved.The jourbey in E bike was easy and we got to endulge with the scenic beauty.

Ooty Now Has Eco-Friendly Electric Bikes
The beautiful hill station of Tamil Nadu, Ooty now has eco-friendly electric bikes by eco-tourism startup B-live. So tourists can now pedal their way and explore Ooty on wheels. The eco-tourism startup B-Live offers experiential guided tours on electric bikes in cities in states like Goa, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. As tourists, you will be able to reduce your carbon footprint, exercise and explore Ooty in a local style.
What’s In It?
The interesting and environment-friendly way of exploring Ooty with almost zero carbon footprint has been started in partnership with the green movement initiative, ‘Make Ooty Beautiful’. The electric bike startup, B-Live offers a range of 50km on a single charge. The electric bikes come with an accelerator and pedal-assist mode, so even if the battery runs out you can still use it to commute distances. The e-bikes also have digital displays in the front.

Geetha Srinivasan, Convenor of Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage stated that tourist vehicles are major contributions to the rising level of air pollution in the city, as the tourist foot-fall has reached millions in Ooty. She further added that guided e-bike tours from this eco-friendly startup can offer a clean mode of exploring and experiencing the beauty of Ooty. Well, for biking enthusiasts and environment crusaders, it’s a great initiative to explore a city in a manner that leaves almost zero carbon footprint. In November 2019, B-Live started operations in Mysuru in Karnataka. The company offered a practical approach to design experiential tours on electric bikes in a manner that these bikes could be charged by tourists at some of these spots. The company will follow a similar plan of action for the popular hill station as it kickstarts its novel tourism plans.
