This tour will start from the port of Los Cristianos , located in the south of Tenerife taking the ferry to San Sebastián de La Gomera , port and capital of the second island The smallest of the Canary Islands, La Gomera .

Once at this point the ascent to the Garajonay National Park begins with its typical forest of the Tertiary period. You will stop at Mirador de la Degollada de Peraza and you will have the opportunity to contemplate a good stretch of the Laja ravine.

You will follow the route through the Palmita , going straight into the National Park until you reach the small villages of Las Rosas and Agulo located to the north of the island of La Gomera. There, you will have time to have lunch in a typical gomero restaurant where you will make a live demonstration of the well-known Silbo Gomero, a peculiar method of communication.

If the time allows after lunch, Where you will have an opportunity to appreciate the Game of Balls (closed on Mondays).

The return will be made by the Hermigua Valley to San Sebastián, where You will be able to see the last historical redoubts of the passage of Cristobal Colón before its departure to the American Continent with Torre del Conde or La Casa de Colón.

I've already visited Tenerife four times and decided to take this tour to explore La Gomera island, which I always saw from Tenerife. The tour was simply perfect, including the ferry ride, clean buses, and Pablo, our lovely guide. La Gomera is a quiet island, but it is so panoramic, a diverse scenery at every corner. The endemic forest at the top of La Gomera is like another world. I'm thinking about spending a week on this island to explore it more thoroughly. La Gomera is a beautiful island, not so busy as Tenerife. The national park is a lush jungle and we spent there an hour - the best experience and hard to imagine it could be so green and fresh. Even it's a full-day long trip, but the time is passing fast. The tour overall maybe worth 5-stars, but the food in the restaurant was really so-so and that's why I give just 4.  Hide review

About an hour later, we hopped on a coach, and that's when we met Miguel. Seriously, the guy's a walking encyclopedia, and he's got an answer for everything. We made a few stops, and Miguel was like, "go, snap your pics, but stick to the plan." The included lunch? Not gourmet, but it did the trick. But the real star? Those killer views on the island - it's like stepping back in time. After touring, we had some free time before going back to Tenerife. All up, it's a long day - 11 hours! - but 100% worth it. One highlight was a three-course meal paired with wine + a bonus! One of the waiters showcased the traditional whistling language of La Gomera. Take your own food, though, because what was served was appallingly bad. Brown dishwater masquerading as yam soup, with no salt or pepper on the table. Followed by unidentifiable meat (rabbit? Chicken?) and frozen mixed veg worthy of school dinners in the UK in the 1960s. The "demonstration" of the whistling language was risible. In La Gomera you really feel that's the island living slow pace. Views are priceless, unique whistling language, endemic laurel cloud forest in Garajonay park and obviously Miguel, our very knowledgable and friendly tour guide - all that made the day. The price of the tour is another advantage - it will cost you almost twice a price just for the ferry tickets if you go on your own. Highly recommend this La Gomera day trip!  Hide review
