stardust tour

Swedish artist Yung Lean appeared at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia, PA on Dec. 6, 2022 as part of his Stardust Tour. Named after Lean’s “Stardust” mixtape released on April 8, 2022, this tour contained nine Europe shows, two Canada shows and six United States shows along with two added stops in Australia in January 2023.

Since his debut in 2013 with the project “Unknown Death 2002,” Lean has been acknowledged as an influential figure in hip hop, specifically the subgenre “Cloud rap.” Like the name implies, this music has hazy, light characteristics while also containing elements of trap beats and electronic hip hop instrumentals.

In the leadup to Lean’s performance, operatic music similar to the famous Halo theme had played throughout the venue, an uncommon twist from the usual hip hop hits you hear in between acts at a rap concert. It was obvious that Lean wanted his shows to be unique in comparison with other concerts that his fans may see.

At 8:58 p.m., the music stopped, the lights went down and a dramatic narration that spoke of “the rise and fall of heroes” began. Four minutes later, Lean burst on to the stage to perform “My Agenda” off of his 2020 album “Starz.” His attire was a large, wizard-esque cloak that turned him into a shadowy figure on stage. The lights were pulsing near the stage floor which made it difficult to make out his appearance from afar. Behind him was an eerie projected image of a house.

Despite the tour being promotion for Lean’s most recent project “Stardust,” his setlist did not contain a single track from the mixtape. Considering his extensive catalog, Lean may have thought that his fans would rather experience the older “classic” songs instead of the newest material, which did experiment with slightly more pop-leaning sounds in songs like “Lips” and “Bliss” with FKA twigs. In the merch area, exclusive physical copies of “Stardust” were sold along with clothing featuring the era’s artwork. Both CD and vinyl copies are hard to find online, and could sell for far above the price on the tour.

Lean would go on to perform more songs from “Starz” such as “Boylife in EU,” “Pikachu” and “Put Me in a Spell.” He performed tracks such as “bender++girlfriend” and “Smirnoff Ice” released in 2018 and 2019. Near the beginning of the show Lean performed a cover of “Diamonds” by Thaiboy Digital, who is a frequent collaborator with Lean along with Drain Gang artists.

Fans in the GA floor were excited throughout the whole show– jumping and throwing shirts into the air periodically. Lean brought the energy in his delivery and presence throughout the set, though occasionally a track would hit a slower section that was more relaxed. During more calm, singing tracks Lean would deliver the whole song live, opting not to shorten his songs’ arrangements very often.

About halfway through the set, he performed the iconic “Ginseng Strip 2002” off of the 2013 EP “Lavender.” While being a defining song throughout Lean’s career, it had an insane resurgence as one of the most popular tracks on TikTok in 2022. It was a highlight of the night to see such an important and influential song performed live. Around this time Lean also played older tracks such as “Hurt,” “Yoshi City,” “Gatorade” and “Ghosttown.”

After a quick break at 9:40 p.m. Lean (in a new, thinner cloak) performed a section of slower songs that began with “Hotel In Minsk,” a track from his 2016 project “Psychopath Ballads” released under the alias jonatan leandoer96. As a play on his birth name Jonatan Aron Leandoer Håstad, “leandoer” has released three projects on streaming services that are distinct from his Yung Lean persona. Following “Hotel,” Lean sang “Put Me in a Spell,” “Leanworld,” “Agony” and “Yellowman” before leaving the stage yet again.

For his final encore, Lean ended the show with “Miami Ultras” from his 2016 album “Warlord.” This was an appropriately loud, messy ending to a show that covered the many sounds of Lean’s career. While it was a bit confusing to not hear any of the namesake songs during this tour stop, it was still an impressive show as Lean proved that he was not afraid to perform long, singing tracks passionately on stage as well as loud, raging rap songs.

New album so much (for) stardust arrives march 24.

GRAMMY Award-nominated and multi-platinum selling rock band Fall Out Boy is set to hit the road this summer with their 2023 headline tour So Much For (Tour) Dust . In addition to Wrigley Field, So Much For (Tour) Dust includes three more stadium stops: BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, Forest Hills Stadium in New York and Fenway Park in Boston. Complete routing is available below.

Fall Out Boy will be joined by Bring Me The Horizon on most dates, as well as Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, Four Years Strong, The Academy Is…, Royal & The Serpent, Games We Play, Daisy Grenade and Carr on select shows throughout the tour’s run.

So Much For (Tour) Dust , presented by Live Nation, is in support of Fall Out Boy’s forthcoming new album So Much (For) Stardust , which arrives March 24, 2023 on Fueled By Ramen/Elektra/DCD2 Records. The record was produced by Neal Avron. Pre-order So Much (For) Stardust here .

Last Wednesday, the band returned to their roots for a surprise homecoming show at Chicago’s legendary 1,000-capacity Metro – announced only two days prior, the show immediately sold out. Just down the street from Wrigley Field, the band first played the venue in September 2002, a pivotal gig that FOB’s Patrick Stump jokingly called back to for the packed crowd two decades later: “Twenty years ago, I told my mom I was going to take a semester off [college] because we were headlining Metro and I wanted to see how that would work out.” FOB’s Pete Wentz expressed the band’s enduring relationship with the venue: “Walking up those stairs is the closest thing this band will have to church.”

Variety hailed the night as a “triumphant hometown show,” noting that “there are concerts, and there are events, and a hometown show in Chicago from [Fall Out Boy] is definitely in the latter category.” Over the course of the night, the band ripped through a mix of their biggest hits and deepest cuts, with Illinois Entertainer praising the set as “taking full advantage of both the intimate venue and the loyal hometown crowd to deliver a once-in-a-decade event.”

The show also featured the live public debut of both “Love From The Other Side” (listen here ) and “Heartbreak Feels So Good” (listen here ), two tracks from the new album and the latter of which was released the morning of the show. The Chicago Sun-Times lauded the two tracks, noting the new material “takes all they’ve learned and accomplished the past 20 years and combines it with their unflinching roots for an ultimate glow-up.”

Prior to the show, the city was enveloped with teasing signage across city buildings and stations along the ‘L.” Foreshadowing the impending tour announcement, the marquees at Metro and Wrigley both featured curiously complimentary nods to the 1989 film Field of Dreams .

Fall Out Boy first hit the stage in 2023 with a dynamic set at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO in Los Angeles, CA on January 14, just days after officially revealing the release date for “Love From The Other Side.”

Fall Out Boy most recently co-headlined THE HELLA MEGA TOUR in July 2021 alongside Green Day & Weezer, playing live in front of over 1 million fans on a sold-out global stadium tour. The U.S. leg included numerous sold-out stadium gigs – including renowned venues like Wrigley Field, Boston’s Fenway Park and Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. Critical and fan acclaim poured in, with USA Today hailing it “the most stacked line-up of any rock tour in 2021,” Billboard noting that each night was “serving up a buffet of hits in front of one of the largest concert crowds,” and Rolling Stone calling it “wildly entertaining.” The tour was nominated for both Major Tour of the Year and Best Rock Tour at the Pollstar Awards in 2021. The international leg of the tour took place throughout the summer of 2022.

So Much (For) Stardust is Fall Out Boy’s eighth studio album and first since 2018’s M A  N  I  A, which garnered a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Album and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall #1 album.

Fall Out Boy

Here Is Fall Out Boy’s ‘So Much For (Tour) Dust’ Setlist

Danielle Chelosky

Fall Out Boy recently shared So Much (For) Stardust , their first album since 2018’s Mania . The band is bringing those songs to stages on their tour with Bring Me The Horizon, Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, and more, which kicked off in June.

Considering Fall Out Boy has a whopping eight albums, their setlist is a big deal. Lucky for fans, they’ve been playing songs from all over their large discography, from 2013’s Save Rock And Roll and 2015’s American Beauty/American Psycho to 2007’s Infinity On High and even their 2003 debut Take This to Your Grave .

Check out their setlist from their concert in Indiana, according to setlist.fm .

Fall Out Boy tell us about headlining Download 2024: “We want people to excel in their weirdness”

As well as stepping up to top the bill at the legendary rock festival for the first time alongside Queens Of The Stone Age and Avenged Sevenfold, Wentz also told NME about planning for Fall Out Boy's next big move

Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy performs live

Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz has spoken to NME about the band stepping up to headlining Download Festival 2024 for the first time – as well as celebrating “weirdness” on their current tour.

The band were announced to be topping the bill at the legendary rock festival last night, alongside Queens Of The Stone Age and Avenged Sevenfold . Speaking backstage in Germany, Wentz told NME that he wasn’t feeling pressured about the slot.

“So many of the bands who have headlined Download before have been such a big influence on us,” he explained. “We grew up watching videos of Metallica playing Donington and most of our band was informed by that era of the band.

He continued: “Headlining a festival for the first time is always a new thing though. We’re not stressed about it, but we want to honour the festival and honour the bands that have played before us.”

  •  READ MORE: Patrick Stump on Fall Out Boy’s ‘So Much (For) Stardust’: “It’s not a throwback record”

The band have only played Download once before, in 2014 as part of their comeback ‘Save Rock And Roll’ tour. “There was some stress because we just didn’t know what to expect and UK festivals are always such a different vibe,” remembered Wentz.  “We were welcomed more warmly than we’d expected though. I don’t know why, but maybe it’s because we are just unabashedly who we are. We’re not worried about coming back.”

Talking to NME last year , Download booker Andy Copping named Fall Out Boy as one of the first-time headliners he wanted to book, alongside the likes of  Green Day , Blink-182 ,  Paramore , Panic! At The Disco , Royal Blood , Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters . “It’s about widening the net,” he explained.

Recommended

Fall Out Boy will be performing at Download in support of their eighth studio album ‘ So Much (For) Stardust ’, which was released back in March. Speaking to NME at the time, Patrick Stump likened ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ to their divisive fourth album ‘Folie à Deux . “We just wanted to make something that we loved and that meant something to us. We weren’t worried about singles or hits,” he said. “It’s not about having anything to prove.”

Now, Wentz has elaborated on how FoB were”trying to bring the two eras of the band together” but “they’re not super complimentary of each other” – talking about the pre and post-hiatus chapters of Fall Out Boy.

“They’re a bit like oil and water,” he told NME . “So sewing them together, and then trying to drop new stuff within that, we always knew it had the potential to be a niche thing.”

However, ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ has quickly become a fan favourite. “That positive reaction felt really good because we did it from the heart,” said Wentz.

Since the record was released, Fall Out Boy have toured North America, Europe and UK with further tours pencilled in for Australia, another North American run and that appearance at Download festival. Across the run of shows, Fall Out Boy have been airing rare and previously unplayed tracks from across their back catalogue via piano medleys and a Magic 8 Ball section, alongside a selection of covers .

“With Taylor Swift ’s ‘ Eras Tour ’ and Metallica playing a different set every night of their stadium shows , it felt like that was destined to happen,” said Wentz, with their current tour a celebration of every corner of their back catalogue rather than a greatest hits set. “We’ve always mixed things. We like R&B, but we came up in the hardcore scene. Now though, we live in this time where people are much more comfortable with that. It’s like our band has been waiting for this genre-less thing to really happen.”

Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley, and Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy perform live

He continued: “There’s also more spontaneity with it. We got into the habit of thinking that if we were going to headline arenas and festivals, then we needed to perfect the set. We were trying to do that in an era where pop music was dominated by dance and hip-hop, and we were trying to be part of that global conversation.

“It’s amazing to see the songs that connect with such a large number of people but in just doing that, you lose what could happen. This tour is more interesting, because it’s not perfect.”

Likewise, the production for their ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ tour is a world away from previous headline tours. “For the past 10 years, we’ve been playing in front of a giant video wall and it’s been about creating a video experience,” said Wentz. By contrast, this run of shows features physical props including a giant dog’s head and a magical tree alongside the real-world magic of Wentz disappearing from the stage only to reappear in the middle of the crowd.

“The whole show was meant to push us outside of our comfort zones,” he explained, with frontman Patrick Stump also taking the spotlight for a solo performance on the piano.  “I don’t think anyone is coming to the show to see an illusion, but it’s something we wanted to craft into the show,” said Wentz. “We wanted to make each show feel like an event.

“Coming out of the pandemic, my kids were playing a lot of Fortnite and I had friends talking about NFTs. That’s all great for a digital space but I always want to turn left when everyone’s turning right. I wanted to make something tangible.

“When we first started Fall Out Boy and conceived it at the biggest level, our influences were Jim Henson [creator of The Muppets] and [special effects legend] Stan Winston. These people who created worlds that felt real.”

Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley, and Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy perform live

The original version of the ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ show was going to feature a figure building the set as it played out in real time. “By day, it would be your typical rock show but at night, he’d have these wild, vivid dreams,” explained Wentz. The show still follows that plot, but a layer of narration has been removed to make it more straight-forward. “Stories are so important though. That’s when art really connects – the thing linking George Lucas and The Beatles is great storytelling.”

He went on: “When you were younger, you don’t know what any of the rules are and things are so much more interesting. As an adult and a creative, you can get so caught up in questions like, ‘Is this us enough?’ or, ‘Is this cool or corny?’. We wanted to get away from that and do stuff just because we thought it was interesting. With this band, I’ve realised that our first gut instinct is usually the most Fall Out Boy one.”

Speaking about what he hopes fans take away from a Fall Out Boy show, Wentz explained: “We want people to be able to excel in their weirdness. We want people to feel comfortable creating, knowing that others will embrace it.”

“I was thinking about this last night. When I was younger and I saw a film or watched a band, it never made me feel like I could do that. We came from a little attic practice space in Chicago. We played countless shows that nobody came to. We didn’t have people telling us we were going to be pop stars. I really hope people walk away from a Fall Out Boy knowing that us playing an arena in their town means that they can do it too, whatever their version of the thing is.”

Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley, and Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy perform live

Despite ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ only being released earlier this year, and with many hours spent dusting off golden oldies for the live show, Wentz said that he already has an idea of what will come next.

“There’s potential for us to do the occasional single here and there, but I’ve really been thinking about the next big thing Fall Out Boy does,” he admitted. “It’s extremely difficult to come up with something that feels new, that also feels clever, that doesn’t feel like it’s chasing something. With ‘So Much (For) Stardust’, we had COVID to push back against and it gave us a new perspective on the band.

“Whatever comes next, it could go anywhere, but it has to be something that’s a little bit beyond what we’ve done before. The first two manga under the label are Minato Takano and Futonchirashi's Kara-chan to Shito-san to ( Kara-chan & and Shito-san & ), and Hiraku Nakamura and Bull's Yadokari (Hermit Crab).

Irish PM Simon Harris apologises to families for their 'living nightmare' over Stardust nightclub fire

"We failed you when you needed us the most, from the very beginning we should have stood with you but instead we forced you to stand against us," said Mr Harris.

The Irish premier has apologised on behalf of the state over the 1981 Stardust nightclub fire in which 48 people died.

A decades-long fight for justice culminated last week in an inquest finding that they had all been unlawfully killed in the Dublin tragedy .

Taoiseach Simon Harris said the state had failed families when "you needed us most" - and politicians stood in applause in parliament to acknowledge family members in the public gallery.

"I know you were forced to endure a living nightmare which began when your loved ones were snatched from you in a devastating fire," Mr Harris said.

"I am deeply sorry you were made to fight for so long that they went to their graves never knowing the truth," he added.

"Today we say formally and without any equivocation, we are sorry.

"We failed you when you needed us the most, from the very beginning we should have stood with you but instead we forced you to stand against us."

Mr Harris said he hoped the inquest finding and Tuesday's apology could help "end the neglect of 43 years waiting and fighting for the only thing you ever wanted, the truth".

The taoiseach also met more than 70 people affected by the fire on Saturday to apologise.

The inquest ruling came after a previous finding, issued in 1982, said the fire was a result of probable arson - which the families never accepted.

That ruling was dismissed in 2009, leading to the latest inquest.

Stardust survivor Antoinette Keegan says families want a public apology for Ireland’s worst ever fire disaster.

Keep up with all the latest news from the UK and around the world by following Sky News

The fire took place in the early hours of Valentine's Day when the Stardust nightclub, in Artane, north Dublin, was packed with 800 people. More than 200 were injured.

The fire started because of an electrical fault in an airing cupboard, the jury ruled.

In the main ballroom, foam in seating, the height of an alcove ceiling and carpet tiles on walls all contributed to the spread of the blaze, the jurors found.

'This was the state begging for forgiveness'

Ireland correspondent

“I never thought I'd see this day," said Antoinette Keegan, speaking as she so often does, for all the relatives of the 48 Stardust victims.

In fact, make that 49, for during the long-awaited state apology, the taoiseach, (Irish PM) Simon Harris, remembered the unborn baby of 17-year-old Caroline Carey, who was pregnant when she died in Ireland's worst fire disaster.

That was at the request of the families, and was a touch that emphasised the comprehensive and sincerely-delivered apology given by Ireland's new prime minister.

It was 43 years in the making, but just five days since an inquest found the victims had all been unlawfully killed.

Another emotional day for the scores of survivors and relatives that gathered at Leinster House to hear the Irish state finally confess to its failings.

The speech was well-received. Mr Harris, wearing a Justice for the 48 lapel badge, was fulsome in both his praise for the strength and resilience of the families, and in his condemnation of the hostile actions of the Irish state "against" them.

He hit many key points the families wanted to hear, emphasising the "salt rubbed into your terrible wounds" by the authorities, and promising action on the inquest jury's safety inspection recommendations, and on future commemorations of the Stardust tragedy.

This was Ireland - as a state, a government, as a nation - finally looking the Stardust victims squarely in the eye, and begging for forgiveness.

Issues such as the potential for a further criminal investigation or a new redress scheme are for another day. For Antoinette and the other survivors, the day they had never thought would come has yet to be fully digested.

Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald said today that the "big lie" the fire had been caused by arson "smeared" and "criminalised the victims and survivors".

"It was a lie that devastated families and further traumatised survivors," she said.

"To this day those families and survivors still ask who crafted that lie? Who spun it, who spread it and why? What was their motive? And who were they protecting?

"Forty-three years on and they still don't have the answer to those questions."

Joe Duffy’s snap judgment on Simon Harris’s Stardust apology somehow captures the wider mood

Not for the first time the liveline host was preparing to judge the sincerity of the occasion.

On Tuesday, not for the first time, a Taoiseach stands up in the Dáil and publicly apologises on behalf of the State for failing its citizens. Meanwhile, not for the first time, Joe Duffy is waiting on Liveline (RTÉ Radio 1, weekdays) to assess the sincerity of the occasion. And having heard Simon Harris’s speech to the bereaved families and survivors of the Stardust fire , Duffy delivers his decision. “The reaction we’re getting so far,” he says, opening the metaphorical envelope, “is that the speech was dignified, that it didn’t pull its punches, that it was delivered very calmly.” It’s a snap judgment by a radio host, but as Liveline is wont to do at such junctures, it somehow captures the wider mood.

Of course, Duffy’s opinion isn’t the one that really matters. He takes his cue from the programme’s callers, so often the de-facto jury in the court of public opinion. Crucially, his contributors include Stardust relatives such as Lisa Lawlor, who was a baby when her parents, Francis and Maureen, died in the horrific nightclub fire. “I’m absolutely full of joy and relief. I’m very relieved today,” she says. “They’re vindicated.”

[  ‘Jesus Christ, the doors are locked’: The full story of the Stardust fire, with new testimony  ]

These sentiments are echoed on Wednesday by Patricia O’Connor, who was 16 when she suffered severe burns from the flames that killed her friend Caroline Carey – “I went out with that girl that night and she never came out” – but who now finally feels like “a grown woman” after the Taoiseach’s statement. Her fellow survivor Jimmy Fitzpatrick, who was “mummified” in bandages after escaping the fire, says he has been “running on fumes” since the coroner’s inquest that delivered the verdict of unlawful killing the previous Thursday, but he deems the official apology robust and genuine.

Despite the disgraceful neglect by State bodies for 43 years after the dreadful events of February 1981, Duffy’s guests sound buoyed by emotion. It may be a fleeting snapshot, but such unfiltered reactions feel significant.

This outcome isn’t a given. Liveline’s verdicts on State apologies haven’t always been positive: Micheál Martin’s contrite speech on the mother and baby homes report in 2021 received a lukewarm reaction from survivors on the show. Moreover, as Duffy highlights, merely saying sorry isn’t enough. By way of cautionary fable, he talks to Miriam Owens, a Tralee woman, about Bertie Ahern’s apology in 1999, as taoiseach, to people who were raised, and abused, in religious institutions.

Owens, who spent her childhood in an industrial school after her mother became ill, says the promises made at the time remain unfulfilled 25 years later. “It was like we got the apology – now get on with your lives,” she says, pointing to a lack of recognition of survivors’ experiences. The Stardust may be a more circumscribed tragedy than the sprawling gulag that institutionalised tens of thousands, but Miriam has salutary advice for the families: “Don’t let it go.”

If the week’s discussions highlight Liveline’s durable ability to tap into big issues at a human level, the individual pen portraits in the Taoiseach’s speech underscore that the Stardust victims overwhelmingly were working people. But despite being “people who get up early”, to use Leo Varadkar’s pithy phrase, it proved a handicap when it came to getting justice: as Jimmy Fitzpatrick tells Duffy, they were vilified “all because they were working-class people”.

So it’s heartening to hear a defiantly upbeat item about a too often maligned inner city neighbourhood of Dublin on The Ray D’Arcy Show (RTÉ Radio 1, weekdays). On Tuesday the host talks to Tara O’Kelly, from the Liberties, who recalls the death of her mother when she was only six years old, and being raised with her three sisters by her aunt Adrienne. “I was unlucky – my parents passed away and they had addiction problems – but usually people don’t get a second chance like I did,” says O’Kelly, who credits her “amazing” aunt for steering her away from drugs: “As an adult, I’m so grateful.”

O’Kelly’s tale is inspirational – it has gone viral on the Humans of Dublin social-media account – but it’s part of a bigger story, as she’s keen to stress. She has long worked at Noel’s Deli, a Liberties landmark whose owner, Noel Fleming, also speaks to D’Arcy. Together, they paint a picture of an area where people pull together in the face of adversity: “Everyone is so there for each other,” says O’Kelly. Given the week’s events, it’s a tonic to hear accounts of community solidarity framed in such infectiously optimistic terms.

[  Miriam Lord: Simon Harris acknowledges wrong done to Stardust families. Now he must do right by them  ]

It’s another boost for D’Arcy, whose show has been enjoying an unexpected resurgence, or perhaps resurrection, given how moribund it had become. His inner-city item is preceded by Monday’s interview with the English actor and west Cork resident Jeremy Irons , who proves drolly reflective company. Irons talks about his career arc and charity work before ruminating with his host over the unknowability of the self. “We’re different people to different people,” Irons muses. “We’ll know who we are when we’re dead.” It’s an improbable but enjoyable conversation, and it fits the pattern of D’Arcy’s recent revival, a rare bright spot in a troubled RTÉ.

Likewise, there are glimmers of hope on Montrose’s digital fringes as For the Record (RTÉ Gold, Sunday) returns for a second season, with the Labour Party leader, Ivana Bacik , the latest celebrity guest to allow the programme’s presenter, Pat O’Mahony, a rummage through their album collection. It’s a loose-limbed affair, as the self-confessed “indie girl” chats fondly about Billy Bragg, Wham! and the 1980s Dublin music scene, to a backdrop of crackling vinyl and O’Mahony’s amiable kvetching: “Your filing system leaves a lot to be desired.” But the show is a desirable nugget for RTÉ Gold, so recently spared the axe now due to fall on other Montrose digital stations such as 2XM and Pulse. RTÉ may yet regret such cuts: it’s never too late to change your mind and repent for your mistakes.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
